Best fries in town, probably the state. If there are better I want to try them. Great variety, quality is always top notch.

I was super excited to try this place, as the photos looked amazing. The overall experience was kind of a let down. The staff seemed to be kind of annoyed about something so that was off putting from the start. There were no recommendations of any kind, as a new customer I would’ve liked to had some kind of knowledge on what was most popular or their best seller! I would’ve tried it! With that being said, I settled for the first thing on the menu, which I assumed was one of the classics, (Chicago Philly) which had lettuce, tomato, onion, American cheese with oil and vinegar. At first the sandwich was pretty dry, I almost had to ask for some mayo or something to put on it, but then I got towards the middle and it turned out to be ok. The overall presentation of the sandwich was good, decently sized. The seasoning on the meat and the American cheese kind of resembled a hamburger. I think some chipotle mayo or some kind of sauce would take this sandwich to the next level. The overall flavor of this sandwich was pretty average, so I probably wouldn’t order this one again. Jersey mikes is better all around 😬

Small little place but punches above it's weight class in food quality. Been a few times and the food has always been consistent and good. Small location so if it's busy the wait can be a bit long and/or there may not be seating but it is typically worth any wait.

From my cashew chicken trail series of reviews. I may return and get a a real cheese steak, but this is my review until then. This was a spur of the moment decision, I was originally going to Wing Stop for some wings. While this isn’t a traditional cashew chicken, it’s better than it sounds. I probably won’t be ordering this again. The fries were just plain OK. This was also the third most expensive stop of my nine stops, and due to its flavor I do not see the value in this one.

This is about the only place in Springfield that you can get a true Chicago Italian style beef. Next time I go though I will be ordering double meat. My wife had a cheeseburger and we had the hand-cut fries which were very good. I would recommend this eatery in to anybody who was looking looking for Good sandwiches.

Hands down my favorite place eat in Springfield! 🤤 I have been coming here for years and plan to continue for many more! The Springfield can't be beat and it is my go to! Get extra cashew sauce and lots of napkins. One bag of fries is definitely enough for two people. The onion rings are so light and crispy! I have never gotten a bad sandwich from here and the service is always top notch! Everyone I interact with that works here is fun, energetic, and incredibly kind! All around love this place!

One of the best BLT sandwiches I’ve ever had! Nice service. Convenient location. Small interior space but enough seating for about 20. Large parking lot shared with other businesses.

This place was awesome! Took my husband there for Father's Day. He had the Philly, I had the Chicago, and our son had the kids grilled cheese. The fries were so good. Everything was delicious! And the people were really nice.

I got the Chicago sandwich and it was so gooooood idk if it's me being pregnant or what but I usually don't like sandwiches like this at all. If ur worried about texture the meat is thinly sliced!! Bread didn't end up soggy either (we live around 20 mins away) The service was great. Didn't have to talk much and we like that:,) Only thing is... if you're sensitive to oils keep in mind they use oils and lots of it( deep fried foods and such) the price was decent too compared to other places in the area.

Today and being a Saturday, I finally got to try their Italian Beef. This sandwich is a great Italian beef sandwich - and had all the great elements to a traditional Italian beef! 1/2 the people coming in today (were) ordering this sandwich special (they run) in Saturdays. A great sandwich option at Chicago Cheesesteak Company!

So pleased with this spot! Tim took my order and he was so personable and friendly. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was awesome. I'd definitely do double meat the next time because I have a big appetite. But it was great food, great portions and all for $10. What a steal! I'll definitely be back!

We love this place! My husband and I both rave over our food every time we visit. Among our favorites are the Springfield Style cashew chicken sandwich (so good!), the wet Italian beef, and spicy Philly. I also loved a special that was curry with mint sauce. While this place would please any true Chicago or Philly cheesesteak fan, it's also got a lot of fun specialty offerings and always served up by the very friendly and laid back staff. Their fried mushrooms are by far the best I've had anywhere!

The food was great, and the service was top-notch. The food was hot. The only thing that needs to be fixed was everything was sticky, and all the tables had trash on them The high chairs were sticky all of them the tables and the chairs you sit in we're sticky.. but other than that good food overall 10 out of 10 would eat there again

Stopped by here on my visit from Cathage to Springfield because it had decent ratings. I will start with the positive. The fries were very good. The bread on the sandwiches was also very good. Are these legit Philly Cheese steak sandwiches? No. I mean, it's 2023 and I get one of THE worst Philly Cheese steak sandwiches I've ever had in my life. How is that even possible??? They really aren't rocket science but so many places get them working. This place is one of them. I got the "Chicago" and "Cheese steak" sandwiches, both with beef. The Chicago was decent but it just felt strange eating it. The cheese steak sandwich was inedible and weighed about four or five ounces. Very meager. At least give me $10 worth of ingredients, even if they are bad or burnt like the one I got. Very disappointed and won't be back because you can tell that they think they really have something good going and probably won't ever change. My search for a good cheese steak place in Missouri goes on.

I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, with extra cheese, and asked for mayo and lettuce to be added. I also ordered a cheeseburger without onions or pickles. What I received was a cheeseburger with onion and pickle, and a Philly Cheese Steak with nothing on it. No lettuce or mayo, and not even enough cheese to be counted as a topping. The bread was toasted to the point that it was almost a crouton. Slightly burnt and so crunchy it fell apart. The meat fell through the now broken bun and went all over the to-go container. I live 4.3 miles away according to Google maps, and it wasn't even luke warm when I got home. The cheeseburger was room temperature as well. Didn't taste bad, but didn't taste good either. Could still taste the onions and pickles. They were not busy when I went in there, so they don't even have being rushed as an excuse. I couldn't find a way to communicate my complaint on their website, so you have to waste a bunch of time talking to the employees until the manager is able to pick up the phone.

There aren't enough good things I can say about this place. I haven't ordered and received anything but awesomeness from this place. The only down side is sometimes it takes a while to get your food but hey it's good and everybody knows. What do you expect!?!

Just came in for two simple philly's since it's my first time here.and let me tell you it's good and my belly is satisfied.I moved here from California and I lost hope in good food out here but this brought me some faith in Springfield

Still not a huge fan. Got the special of the day; a Chicago Cheesesteak which came with drink and fries. Service was good, came out decently fast. The issue I have is the sandwich's just aren't that good.. I mean the breads okay, but the meat and ingredients taste straight from the Walmart freezer section. Also why charge extra for fries; I mean is anyone really eating that whole bag?!! Sure it's okay if you're sharing I guess, but to be honest I don't like soggy fries anyway. $8 even for a special just seems a bit on the higher end for something I don't consider a "premium product."

Folks were friendly enough. However, being a native Chicago southwest sider, a couple of points: 1. Chicago does not specialize in cheesesteaks. 2. I had an Italian beef, portion of beef was 1/3 of what it should have been, gravy / au jus was watery, giardiniera lacked flavor, 3. The picture of the Chicago hot dog shows that these folks don't understand what makes a real Chicago Dog. No offense intended, just fact. This business has so much potential. A trip to Chicago is in order with a visit to the Vienna factory store could be what this business needs to go from mediocre to awesome.

Super tasty. Tip: you can get your sandwich on a bed of love or fries if you don't want bread. My 12 year old gobbled up her bacon burger. My veggie Philly was amazing, though I wish I had gotten it in lettuce. I didn't see that I could get it that way until after I started eating. The bread was good, but would have saved the extra calories. The fries were delicious, although my daughter added salt to them. But as I always say, you can add salt but can't take it away. My husband got the Chicago cheese steak and loved it. The fried mushrooms were very good.

I order for delivery all the time! Haven't had a complaint yet. The food is hot and fresh! I've never been to the restaurant in person, but I can imagine it's even better to sit and eat there.

Ok so I'm a cheesesteak snob and I only tried the regular provolone, steak,pepper,onion combo. You have to ask for toppings if you're one of those weirdos that like lettuce etc. the sandwich was good it wasn't very full of steak and it seemed a bit dry. The fries were the best hand cut fries yummy! Over all I would go there again and try something different from their menu.

Fast. Friendly service. Had the cheesesteak and fries. Beware if you don't like mayo because it's automatically added to the sandwiches even though it is not listed under ingredients. Fries were fresh and large portion. Roll was toasted and overall, a delicious casual meal. The chocolate chip cookies are thick and soft. Yum!

The best Italian Beef and Chicago Style Hotdog in the area! Almost as good as Portillo's in Chicago. I was born and raised in the Chicago are. The Chicago hotdog is not on the menu here but they have it posted on wall. Oh yea, my wife loves the onion rings. Nice and crispy.

Ridiculous. I've eaten great sandwiches all over the country and this Chicago Steak sandwich and fries has gotta be the best. No joke. Delicious, crispy where it needs to be and hot. Cheesy, just enough veg on it... perfect roll. Hot skin-on fries capped it off and made it a clincher. I'm only in town a couple times a month but this is my new "Gotta Have" meal.

I was a little skeptical when I read the reviews but decided to give them a chance. I ordered for the delivery and thought it came in a timely manner. I got the Philly combo. I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't soggy for me and I thought the taste was spot on. I would definitely order from them again if I am ever back in Springfield for work.

To start just going to say I'm completely out of my element here, this is the only place I've ever had a cheese steak sandwich and it's the only place in town dedicated to them. They have two locations, one downtown, the original and then one over south west off Battlefield. The place is clean, staff friendly, got some cool culture going on with the decor, almost like you could add to it sticker wise. Here is where I'm lost, don't know what is the difference between a great one and an ok one. I've eaten here a few time's, for me there was just to much grease on the meat, seemed like it could have been drained a bit, but hey maybe that's how they are supposed to be. Not going to knock them, just not my thing, but it is the only game in town if it is.

One of the top cheese steaks in town. I've been to their down town location and the food is on par with it. The restaurant was clean and workers were pretty friendly. I am glad they now have a south side location.

I've been here twice now and it has been really good both times! I got the Philly cheese during my first visit. Then I noticed you can get any of their cheesesteaks on a bed of fries instead of bread! Got the Philly with chicken on a bed of fries!!! It was niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. I like the atmosphere inside their restaurant. And their prices are really affordable, you won't find a better meal for $7. The staff is always super friendly as well. Very good restaurant, will be going back soon

First time here not bad on the food. The interior needs some major cleaning all the tables were filthy, the floor, and the counter top was sticky. The bin with the lids was dirty as well so I skipped that. But the staff was friendly and the price was decent.

The philly here is great!! Bread is perfect, meat lightly seasoned, and polite, hardworking staff.

This place has some amazing phillys and the fries are always fried to perfection. Great place if you are needing a quit bite. I always add fresh jalapeños to my sandwich.

I love the taste of the cheesesteaks here. I always get the one with the grape jelly on it, and it never disappoints. Every time I have been in the store has been clean and the workers have been friendly. It's one of my favorite place to grab a quick dinner.

Burger came with a nice long hair in it, was expensive for the size, & they ask for tips before serving your food. Neither of the workers there wear hair nets, and offered no compensation for the burger I had to return, honestly surprised they didn't see it, it was hanging out the side as I unwrapped it. Didn't require me to lift the bun or anything. I regretted not taking a picture the second I gave it to them. Only reason I'm not giving them one star is because of their fries, which were extremely crispy and seasoned well, so they've got at least that going for them.

Best Philly cheesesteak in town guarantee!!! I'm glad that they opened the second branch because sometime it's hard to find parking around downtown. If you become their fan on Facebook, they often post promotion and special price!

Sad cheesteak, hardly any meat on it. Ordered a side of Onion rings and only got maybe 5 rings for over $3. Very dissatisfied. Will never eat there again.

I like this place! I have settled on the Spicy as my go to. They have a "secret menu" just ask they will show it to you and it has some interesting combinations. The employees are friendly and pleasant. The food is quick but not prepared ahead of time getting nasty under a heat lamp. The fries are hand cut. I need to break out of my box and try the onion rings but I haven't yet.

Having grown up in Chicago I've eaten my fair share of Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. This was by far the worst. The steak is ground up into bits to hide the fact that there is very little meat on the sandwich. It was more bread than meat. Most philly cheesesteaks you cannot close the bread due to large amounts of meat. This one did not have that problem. $30 for 3 sandwiches which none were filling enough.

We have always had fantastic service at both this location and the downtown one, the staff are always very friendly and upbeat. There's a bit more seating at the south side location, which is nice. The food is always hot and fresh. We've tried just about everything, and it's all been good. Definitely recommend the Spicy and the Halle-Peño Berry.

So my boyfriend and I went in there to get lunch yesterday.He was in and out of the bathroom all night and I was in and out all morning. We both got the philly. It has all the symptoms of food poisoning. Come on guys your food is delicious,don't ruin it with unsanitary conditions. Do better. Be better. Please. I don't want to loose you guys I love your food.

Not a lot of cheesesteak places here in Springfield so we decided to give this place a try. Me and my family visited the location downtown and we enjoyed it. It's a little pricey for just a sandwich! Then they opened a location on battlefield and the workers are pleasant and the food is ok. I really like the mayo sauce they bake into the bread. All and all its the best Philly I've had here!

I was on a mission to find a decent Chicago dog in Springfield and boy did I get it. This place has one of the best Chicago style hotdogs I have ever had! Their fries are perfectly fried and crispy. I only wish I could give them a 6th star! Well done Chicago Cheesesteak Co.

We were in town for a conference and we all like Cheesesteak so it seemed a perfect fit. We went to the downtown location. Holy cow, this place was small. Teeny tiny. We could barely fit in there to wait for our sandwiches much less eat them. We ate in the car. Not the relaxing lunch I was looking for. I thought the order taker and the cook were both nice and they handled the tiny situation well. I had the Philly. Absolutely nothing great about it. I wouldn't even call it good. My co-worker had the BBQ which she said was fine. We also had fries, which I think could actually have been good if they hadn't accidentally dumped a ton of season salt on them. We ate 6 meals in Springfield, this was the only one I wouldn't go back to.

I'm sorry to write something bad about a restaurant, but this one is the one that tops the bad. Order the philly and mushrooms and waited a hour for cold food. The driver apologize because we were at the end of his deliver list, still didn't make the food warmer. The presentation of the philly had a didn't care look to it with oregano all over the place. The wife order chicken strips and fries and showed the same presentation as my meal. Her fries were cold and soggy. No condiment were afford, and after calling them it was explained to me I had to ask for them or I wouldn't get anything to dip my strips and fries in. Just a heads up, be on your best game when ordering from this restaurant. Will never do business with this restaurant in the future. They just don't care about you.

Great quality food, great portions and great service. I got a chicago cheesesteak and while I would probably have preferred a philly, the Chicago was great nonetheless. Fries are fresh and great. Would recommend.

First time here, and it was great, cooked to order, and flavorful. My only complaint would be they don't offer au ju sauce. I will give them this, normally I despise the taste of hand cut fries, but theirs.... just delicious!!! I had the spicy, don't be afraid it's not that hot,

First time eating here and it was outstanding. I got the Philly cheese steak and it was amazing. My boyfriend and I shared some of thier fries and thwy are probably the best i have ever had. Totally recommend this restaurant.

I had chess stakes in Philadelphia where they originated and this place does them justice. Very good... Don't be afraid to try the Halle Berry
