"Eat in the Home of the Danish Government What's more enjoyable than a fantastic meal? A fantastic meal in a beautiful restaurant situated in the tower of Christiansborg Palace, the operational seat of the Danish Government. The quality of the food is fantastic, the location is incredibly cool, and while you're waiting to be called to your seat, you can always pop up into Christiansborg's tower for a stunning view of the city skyline."

Beautiful views for free? Yes, please! The tower is part of a large museum, but visitors can ascend to the top of the tower at no cost. Follow the signs underneath the tower to find the waiting queue. Visitors often report a 30-60 minute (a fair caveat for a free attraction)—we visited in the late afternoon on a weekday and only experienced a 15 minute wait. The journey will include two elevators and a few stairs. Wonderful view from the top on all four sides.

Dinner at Tårnet in Copenhagen is a memorable experience, set in the historic tower of Christiansborg Palace, it offers a unique blend of Danish heritage and modern cuisine. As you dine beneath the vaulted ceilings, you’re treated to beautifully crafted dishes made from seasonal, local ingredients. The atmosphere is elegant yet warm, with panoramic views of the city adding a magical touch to an unforgettable evening.

The tower at Christiansborg offers a beautiful view over Copenhagen. It’s an enjoyable trip up, and definitely worth it. There’s airport-style security before going up, which makes sense considering it’s also home to parts of the Danish government. The tower visit was included in our reservation at the restaurant, which was a lovely dining experience with an elegant and antique atmosphere. If you're on a budget, the restaurant might be something to skip, but if not, it's a great way to make the most of the visit.

The tower has free entry, but the queues to get in are very long. They have to limit the number of people, so you need to wait for enough of the last batch to come back down. You go through airport style security when you first enter the building. You can request a pat down if you have medical equipment that can not go through a scanner. There are lifts all the way to the top. The first lift holds eight people, and the second holds six. As they had let around twenty-three people in, this meant more waiting. There are also some sculptures that you can view before going out to the viewing area. The views are okay. You can see quite far. The fencing is quite high, so it can be difficult to get pictures if you are short. The tower is fully accessible to people who use a wheelchair. You can borrow a wheelchair for free.

It offers one of the best viewing spots of the whole city for free. Yes, you'll probably need to face a queue at the entrance but you shouldn't have to wait that long. You can even see parts of Malmö from here

Christianborg Tower provides nice 360 degree views of Copenhagen. It is free but popular so there is a bit of a wait during peak times.

This FREE experience is well worth it! We had a bit of a wait to get in, but you are in line, undercover, so it's not terrible. You go through a security check point and up 2 lifts and stairs. There are toilets you can use. The info booklet is very informative. The views were great, as were the signs at the rails showing where things were. Very accurate and awesome that it points to the things on the picture so you can identify them easier. It was VERY windy at the top. Well worth it! The statues and things are cool to see too.

It’s awesome that there’s a place where you can enjoy a view over the city for free. The only price you pay is a 30-40 minute long wait on the queue so decide for yourself. Personally, I think it’s something to do once but definitely not twice.
