The Church House Gourmet Retreat

My partner and I went for a romantic weekend break to the Church House Gourmet Retreat, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of it. Stunning views, especially from the breakfast terrace, amazing food that Mary and Peter prepare (the best croissants!) and the warmest hospitality. We dined in on one evening and the meal and wines were fantastic.||Peter and Mary's warmth and genuine care made us feel completely at home. From recommending local places to ensuring our every need was met, they added an extra layer of comfort and joy to our stay. ||If you're looking for a really special place to visit, we can't recommend Church House Gourmet Retreat enough.

Was expecting great, but The Church House is so much more! Amazing hosts who are exceptional creating an amazing place and space to relax and enjoy the area, food and experience. Accomodation is faultless and the food phenomenal. I will be returning for both and the great hosts who made our experience one of the best trips away we have had.

Spent a lovely weekend recently at the Church House. The house and the surrounding property were magnificent, a true get away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. Mary and Peter were incredible hosts. It was a true delight being able to just chat and get to know the two of them over a few glasses of wine each night. We highly recommend a visit!

My wife and I spent four fantastic nights at the wonderful Church House in Fish Creek. The house itself; the views; the most friendly lovable dog ever; the food and wine, and of course the gracious hosts were all 5 stars. We enjoyed a number of really impressive dinners matched with some great wine all cooked by our great hosts who felt more like old friends than hosts. The house, and the rooms in general, are lovely and warm and very well decotated. The local environment is also just beautiful. Whether hiking at Wilson Prom or in the local area, there is plenty of wonderful nature to enjoy. Fish Creek is also a great little town with some good cafes and a great rail trail to go for a long walk or run. This is certainly a bit of luxury, but it is well worth it!

Mary and Peter are incredible hosts, full of amazing stories and a beautiful friendly chill dog called Sidney. We came for our honeymoon, and it was so lovely to be looked after and the seafood sausages were delicious and unlike anything we'd ever had before! Top it off with incredible views! The experience was like you were a guest in a close friend's and was truly special. Our hearts were truly warm and full after our stay. Don't hesitate booking this experience!

Beautiful house with beautiful views! Peter and Mary (and Sydney) are such fabulous hosts, we felt very comfortable. The food was always spot on with lots of the fresh produce coming straight from their garden. We loved the hot tub looking over the beautiful view. We would definitely recommended the Church House for a nice and relaxing stay.

Mary and Peter run the most delightful retreat in the superb location. They are wonderful hosts and very hard working people, attending to every detail with care and love. The house, beautifully furnished with gorgeous European furniture, is sitting in the most picturesque setting. A great place to stay when you come to explore the beauty of Wilsons Prom.

From the moment that we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Peter who ushered us in, made some tea and offered us cake! He then asked us what plans we had whilst we were in the area and gave us some excellent suggestions. The house is stunning, what vision Peter and Mary have had to put it all together.|Our room was the Chinoiserie on the first floor. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very spacious and well equipped. We were supplied with robes, flip flops and plenty of towels. It was quite windy during our stay so didn’t have the chance to sit out on the balcony but the views are great.|We agreed to eat in (there’s not many places around and it would entail quite a drive). Canapés (and there are plenty of them) are served at 7, followed by a 3 course dinner at a communal table with other guests. You will not be hungry! The food is imaginative and well presented using either homegrown or local produce. Peter has an extensive wine list too.|It felt like a dinner party with friends.|Breakfast also features homemade and homegrown produce.|We would happily return to the Church House if in the area again.
