We were told so much about this place so we went and ordered the seafood platter. The service was super friendly and the wait time was short. Food was hot and typical of any deep fried place. Saying that the haddock was amazing along with the scallops. I’m not a fan of clams so they were just okay for me.

It's a bit of a wait but the fish and chips are quite nice. Their lobster roll, while expensive, is one of the better ones I have tried so far in new brunswick. I also like how the tax is already calculated in the prices. Theres also a bunch of picnic benches to sit at. Washroom on site.

If you don’t mind eating outdoor, then it’s a wonderful experience. Seafood platter easily fed 2 people and only $29! Already took a bite of the fish before the photo lol!

This little roadside takeout is a gem! When I am seaside I always make sure to get a feed of fresh seafood. This spot didn’t disappoint. It’s busy and there will be a wait but it is so worth it.

Google
Busy busy busy! Be prepared for a 30+ minute wait, but it's worth it. Parking on the side of the road because of overflow is a good sign in this case. You know it's going to be good! Kind staff, easy ordering, and perfect clams and chips. Reasonably priced as well.

Google
Food was delicious, exactly what you would expect from that style of restaurant. It can take quite awhile to be served once you order though

Yelp
The Clam Digger is where you want to go for fried food. A couple of us had fish and chips. I had the seafood platter. We also got an order of fried clams. Pro tip: they are super generous with fries. We really just needed one order of fries for four of us. The great thing is they will give you a $4 discount if you opt for no fries. That's a nice option. My fav was the fried scallops. They were large and tender. The clams and fish were pretty good too, though the batter on the fish was in the thicker side. Also the food takes a while - at least 30 minutes so be patient.

Yelp
Went to Clam Digger for a family of 8 had a great meal when I called to say what a good meal we had .I ask the girl if I could talk to her manager she said yes an told the manager it was for him he said Holy Fuck. Jesus Christ an hung up this was shocking to me an I'm not a dirty talking or swearing person so this was upsetting to me He didn't even say Hello I hope he has the Face to apologize to me.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Lobsta sandwich was a perfect match lobster, sauce and seasonings. Fish taco had plenty of fish and vegetables with a pleasant soft shell. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were recommended this place by friends and it was very good. The food is excellent for the most part. The fish was some of the best we had on our east coast trip. The poutine was fresh and plentiful. The portions are a very good size so go hungry or be prepared to share. The burgers were great and the salmon burger was a particular standout with our group. It's very busy and parking can be tricky but you can always park along the side of the road like most locals were doing. The lobster roll was our only disappointment. It was just a bit thin on meat and paled in comparison to the one we had in alma for the price (hence the four not five stars). Next time we go back we will also try the clams and sc

Yelp
Ya Gotta Eat Here.... This is our first stop when we return to New Brunswick via the US each year. A hidden gem I think, off the beaten path, but well worth the stop. We have never had an issue with anything. Service is always friendly, helpful and the food is great. An amazing place for a roadside chip stand. You have to try the Seafood Platter, pricey at $24.00 but a fantastic meal, easily shareable and if not, some leftovers for a midnight snack. Clams, Fish, scallops and fries, all fresh and tasty. Thanks Clam Digger!!

Yelp
Convenient location on the road to St Andrews. About a 5 minute drive away. This is a drive up fish & chip takeout place. It has fish, clams, burgers, homemade fries, milk shakes, and hard ice cream. Even on a Monday afternoon in early June, they were steady, but we didn't have to wait long. They take your order, give you a number, then call out your number with a microphone. I had a one piece fish & chips. The fish was large and there were lots of fries, a lemon wedge, cole slaw, and tartar sauce. The fish batter was crispy & golden, the fish hot & moist. It was a little greasier than I like, but not enough to keep me from eating all of it. The fries were great. My husband & I also split an onion rings. We didn't like these so much. We like onion rings with fish batter, whereas these had something more akin to fried chicken coating. We didn't put much of a dent in those. There's a good amount of parking space, a grassy area with sturdy picnic tables, and a playground.

Yelp
Well if you ever find yourself crossing the border around lunch or dinner -- then do your best to find this place. The food is fresh, crisp and yummy! Seating is outside or in your car. We had burgers, scallops and fries! YUMMMMY! I don't cross the border much...so it will be a bit before I'm back. Enjoy!

Yelp
Loved the lobster roll. The Clams were very fresh. Actually, all the seafood was fresh. It makes a huge difference when eating anything 'seafoody.' Most of what we ordered was fried. The breading tasted light but it was generous. I had much too much fried food belly but I kind of deserved it for the quantity I ate. Outdoor picnic area available but we were lucky to find parking in that tiny area in front. That's a blessing and a curse: blessing that it's popular, but a curse in that you have to squeeze in that park like area. I had a good time but don't go there if you're on a diet.

Yelp
Stopped in the morning after a bachelorette party and the homemade burger probably saved my life hahaha. That or the fresh lemonade. Crispy fries, nice little slaw. Diverse menu so I'll definitely be back to check out more. Lots of seating outside (none inside) and a little park for the kids. If you're going through st Andrews check this place out.

Yelp
Disappointed, went there and paid $18.00 for an order of clams. They were greasy and the breading was falling off and already missing on a lot of them. Have had clams there before and were always very good, something has changed. Will not hurry back.

Yelp
My wife and I recently enjoyed the Seafood platter. It was fresh, large enough for two, and appropriately priced. We dined outside at one of their many clean picnic tables. We paid with our VISA and the conversion to USD was done automatically.

Yelp
One of the best "seafood" take-aways in the area this summer! And they have a lot more than seafood on the menu now! Fries are excellent! Try the Sausage of the week!

Dolores W.

Yelp
Had heard it was as a great place to eat. The fried onions were awesome but the lobster roll was terrible. The worst I have ever had.

Roy M.

Yelp
A great place just a couple miles from downtown, dog friendly, very good seafood and burgers!

Brad M.

Yelp
We had a great meal while in St. Andrews. The freshest seafood available, beautifully fried, big portions and quick service. Very friendly staff, a must-visit if in the area. Better fried seafood than what you'll get downtown IMO. Most of the locals seemed to order the Haddock platter, fyi. Great place!

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Great little stop. Two of us ate the seafood platter and were very satisfied. I will be back.
