Our second stay at The Clarendon was just as wonderful as the first one two years ago. This hotel is a true gem: beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located within walking distance of all the hotspots in Sea Point, with countless great restaurants nearby. The rooms are stunning, modern, and feel brand new. The swimming pool is lovely and relaxing, and the food is great. What truly sets The Clarendon apart, it genuinely feels like coming home. A very special thank you to the incredible staff. Everyone is so kind, helpful, friendly, and caring. The team creates such a warm, welcoming environment, and you can feel how much heart they put into the place. A perfect 10/10 for us, and we will definitely be back very soon!

We had a lovely stay at Clarendon Fresnaye in Cape Town, South Africa. The staff are absolutely amazing and very friendly. Nothing is a problem for them. Always smiling and happy to help. They even offered us a bigger room as it was available. All staff including Gift, Daud, Mavuto, Shadreck, and Michalyn were fantastic. Amazing food and very nice and relaxing environment.

The Clarendon Fresnaye Hotel is an oasis of calm in a busy city. It is located in the Fresnaye district, which feels very safe and is also known for that. We felt comfortable walking to restaurants in the evening, just a five-minute walk away. The hotel is very comfortable, with a lovely garden and swimming pools. Plenty of privacy. The room was more than excellent, and the staff were professional, extremely friendly, and helpful. For us, it is a highly recommended base when staying in Cape Town.

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel! It was well located and walkable to several restaurants in the Sea Point neighborhood, and the hop on hop off bus stop! Being on the side of the hill, there were views of the water and the surrounding mountains. The room was clean and spacious, and the pool area had a very chic vibe. Security was always at the front gate, so we felt very safe at the property. We had wonderful service from our friend Gift, who helped stow our luggage when we had time to spare, Daud who made the most wonderful lattes each morning, and Mavuto who greeted us each time we came and went. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to relax in between exploring Cape Town!

I stayed here with my father and brother during our first visit to South Africa. The hotel itself is very pretty, with lots of greenery and well kept landscaping. The pools were also really nice and gave it a relaxed, upscale feel. The staff were friendly, warm, and accommodating, and you could tell they were working hard, even though it often felt like they were understaffed and each person had to juggle a lot of different tasks.||However, while we booked one of the nicer suites, there were some issues that stood out: there were ants in the bathroom and on the counter near the minibar. I had heard that Cape Town has a rat problem, but I was still surprised to see a rat running across the garden on three separate occasions, which definitely made me feel grossed out and uncomfortable. The shower had very weak water pressure, and although housekeeping came every day, the bathroom and floors never felt fully clean. There were still ants, some dirt, and even some hairs that were not ours.||Overall, it was a generally nice stay in a beautiful setting, and the staff themselves were lovely. But given the price and these issues, it did not feel like a true 5 star experience.

A small and personal hotel with wonderful staff, the service was fantastic. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area, close to the city center and beaches. Relaxing in the garden by the pools with a bottle of bubbly was wonderful! Next time we visit Cape Town we will book this hotel again!
