Our travel agent found this gem for our Christchurch 4 Night stay! Great room, comfortable bed and so quiet! Jo and Lindsey were on duty for our stay and they were excellent hosts. Breakfast offered good choices for gluten free and location is excellent near to Hagley Park, the Art Crntre and the Cathedral Precinct too. All very walkable plus there was parking space for our vehicle too. Happy to recommend

This is a great value of beautiful boutique hospitality. The hotel is located within a short walk of the cbd centre. Accommodation was very well appointed and well competent serviced. The meal plan was excellent and the management team were very friendly and attentive. Thank you for your nice hospitality service. Highly recommended to everyone Well worth a stay

Our travel agent booked The Classic Villa for our 3 night stay in Christchurch. We loved our time here. Karen (manager) worked hard to make sure that we had everything we needed (access to early breakfast since our day trips left very early, recommendation for excellent dinner restaurant - Fiddlesticks that was just 2 blocks away, information regarding the beautiful botanical gardens just 2 blocks away etc). It was sparkling clean, the breakfast was everything we needed/wanted and the extra spaces were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the complimentary glass of port. Thank you Karen for making our stay extra special!!!

Cute place near everything. We walked mostly. Parking is close quarters but at least they have some! Rooms are spacious and comfy. Staff are awesome.

Our stay was lovely! Steve upgraded our room and we were delighted. Breakfast was good and very lively with other guests and information about Christchurch. Steve was helpful giving us tips about the town and we enjoyed the tram and gondola. Jackie was a delight and willing to help us with an early breakfast. We’d stay here again (and again).

This is a great beautiful boutique hotel. The hotel is located within a short walk of the city centre and has sufficient off street parking so no need to use the car. The rooms are very well appointed and well serviced. The continental breakfast was excellent and the management team were very friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.

The Classic Villa The Classic Villa is ideally situated within a very short walk of downtown and all of the restaurants and bars etc. Luckily we managed to grab an off street parking spot in front of the villa; unless there is another parking area that I was not shown there appears to be many more rooms than there are parking spaces, so if you miss out I guess you have to find a space somewhere on-street locally. We were warmly welcomed by the host, Steve who gave us all the info we needed. Steve and Jackie lay out cold breakfast for guests, there is no cooked option. The biggest disappointment regarding the Classic Villa for us was our room. Although pretty large with 2 queen beds, it was rather dated in style and very lacking in natural light. The walls are painted a cream colour which combine with the medium dark wood furniture to create a rather dingy 70’s atmosphere. The room did have a large window running along one wall, this was however shielded by a blind. The blind was signed “Do Not Open”, presumably because its mechanism was broken. I could not see any reason other than malfunction why guests should not open the blind and had it been possible to do so, the room would have looked a lot more appealing. Maybe the owners are saving a few dollars by not replacing the blind. The bathroom was small and again not modern however the shower was superb, very hot and very very powerful.

Truly lovely hosts and great reception/ common area. Nice place to chill. Great to be able to make coffee and tea when you want. ( along with cookies and fruit) Nice continental breakfast. Excellent location and there is parking for 6 cars. But the bedroom walls in the front part of villa are tissue thin so not the best for privacy or early night. Bed in room 8 was way to hard to get a decent night's sleep and not having the option to make a hot drink in your room isn't ideal. Who wants to get dressed to go get your 1st or last coffee of the day.
