Great spot for lunch when visiting the marsh walk. Our server, Ethan, was absolutely wonderful! He made our son feel like he'd made a new best friend! The food and atmosphere were also fantastic. We ordered lobster rolls and fish & chips....some of the best we've ever had.

Google
Very nice place to go eat if you are in the area visiting! We went around 4pm and were immediately sat down and did not have to wait very long on food for a table of 6! Our waitress was very nice and did a good job! Food was very good and nobody had any complaints. I personally got the Redfish and grits which was top notch, some of the best grits I've ate. They have a very large fish tank in the lobby filled with all sorts of saltwater fish for people of all ages to enjoy! Average price of seafood was $25-30 with sandwiches and other options around $16-20

Went for the first time to enjoy their happy hour appetizers and drinks. We had the mini crab balls, fried calamari and fried cod bites, a few oysters and some fries. We definitely were not disappointed. Everything was delicious, service was great, atmosphere m, prices were amazing and the view perfect. Best raw oysters I’ve had in a long time. Portions for happy hour appetizers were huge. We took food home. I’m only sad we haven’t come here before since we only live 5 minutes away. My wife and I do a date night once a week, at least. This will be our new go to place. Thank you.

Definitely sit outside. Beautiful coastal breeze comes straight off the water. Food was FANTASTIC! We did the all you can eat Crab Legs on a Monday. So worth the money! The staff were all very friendly and the view and atmosphere is great!

Google
This seafood restaurant is pretty great, but the reason that it got a 4 is because some of the food isn’t the best, but most of the food is amazing though. First the parking looks very small, but if you happen to read the sign in the parking lot, you actually park for free across the street next to the neighbor restaurant. Inside the place is nice, huge aquarium with many numerous fish and sea life. And the food is mainly good, the appetizers aren’t great, but the food really shines in the main courses. We had a fish with some spices in it, which was pretty good, also had the crab cakes which was amazing, fish and chips, and a steak which was kinda bland. Overall this is a great restaurant, most of the food is amazing, some of it, is kinda ehhh, but definitely worth going here regardless.

Google
Ah, waterfront seafood dining! I think the people who run this place also run one of the other nearby restaurants, but as for this one in particular, it offers great views of the inlet, and the noise wasn't so bad compared to the last time I was in this row of restaurants. The service was attentive and we didn't have to wait TOO long either. And who doesn't love a fancy fish tank at the entrance?

Google
Highly recommend the claw house!! The food was amazing we got the lobster fries and the crab nachos for appetizers they didn’t disappoint. The lobster roll was our entree and we were very pleased how everything came out and the speed in which it did! Can’t recommend this place enough as the view and the vibe for sunset is perfect and it’s a great way to end a long day at the beach!

Google
5-Stars All The WAY!!! Fresh, Flavorful, and Absolutely Worth It – The Claw House Delivers! If you’re looking for one of the best seafood experiences in Murrells Inlet, The Claw House is your go-to. Our group ordered the Fried Clam Basket for starters, the followed that up with the Fried Fisherman’s Platter, Fish & Chips, Grilled Fisherman’s Platter, and the show-stopping Cajun Redfish that’s blackened perfectly, topped with roasted corn salsa, & served over a bed of Southern-Style Creamy Grits. Absolutely on point! Every bite was packed with flavor and freshness—truly what coastal Carolina dining is all about. What made the meal even better? Our server Brice, was attentive, upbeat, and genuinely made us feel at home. It was his recommendation on the Redfish that sealed the deal!! A must have dish for sure!! The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help with anything we needed. Yes, there was a little bit of a wait—but that’s to be expected at a top-rated seafood spot like this. Trust us, it’s well worth it. And if you can’t dine in, DoorDash or GrubHub make a smart backup plan (because those grits travel surprisingly well!). The Claw House offers an unbeatable blend of waterfront vibes, expertly prepared seafood, and Southern hospitality. Don’t miss it next time you’re in the Inlet.

Yelp
My expectations were not high with the mixed reviews on here. However, we really enjoyed our meals here! Despite it being a holiday weekend, our party of 7 was seated immediately for dinner. We were seated on the covered patio, which overlooks the docks. Nice view! Our waitress, Jennifer, was very attentive. Food was yummy! I had the fish and chips, and the fish was perfectly battered, slaw was yummy, and fries were crispy. Also, the two apps we tried-- crab nachos and pretzel bites-- were so good! My son had the seafood mac, and he raved about it. Big portions!

Yelp
It was our first time at the Claw House during Memorial Day weekend but it is a new favorite spot for our family. We went to celebrate my dad's belated birthday so we started out with the calamari appetizer and the corn/crab chowder. The chowder was a bit too spicy for me (but I don't like spice at all), my mom loved it. The calamari was a hit--my 5 year old ate more than anyone else. She'd never had it before but she loved it! She asked the server for a refill. My mom ordered salmon and it was perfectly cooked. The sauce was spectacular. My husband got the tuna poke tacos and they were so good. I tried a piece of the tuna and it was incredible. My dad got the crab tower, which has mangos in it and came with chips. I ordered the lobster roll. I love that sandwich! I've had lobster rolls before and it tops them all. The bread was a beautiful split top, the meat was tender and perfectly cooked. I would recommend! The restaurant is neat because it has different seating areas. We sat on a deck that was enclosed by windows so you could still enjoy the water. Definitely a hit!

Yelp
We were surprised at how quick we were seated on a Friday night (in May but still) and the service was fast too HIGHLY recommend the crab nachos!!

Yelp
We came Friday at 5pm which was a great time before it started getting busy. The inside dining is on the smaller side but they do have more tables outside. The service was fantastic and I enjoyed looking at the big fish tank while I ate. The pretzel bites were a good appetizer. The seafood Mac n cheese wasn't that great at all. Their Mac n cheese lacks flavor. However, the grouper with risotto was fantastic. I asked for lobster cream sauce instead and the sauce was sooo good.

Yelp
The Claw House is a seafood restaurant in Murrells Inlet. They have a full service raw bar and beer garden, with over 90 drafts on tap. There are a ton of places to eat in Murrells Inlet, but The Claw House is my favorite. On top of the beautiful view, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the service is fun and friendly. My last visit I ordered pretzel bites, crab & shrimp Rangoon egg rolls, and a lobster roll. The pretzel bites were buttered and salted to perfection, and served with beer cheese. The egg rolls were stuffed with crab, shrimp, cream cheese, and scallions, and served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. The lobster roll was packed with meat and topped with melted butter. Every bite was spectacular! This is one of those places where the entire menu sounds amazing. There are a ton of other things I still have to try, so I'll definitely be back. Pickup and delivery are both available. Pretzel Bites - 8.1 Crab & Shrimp Rangoon Egg Rolls - 8.5 Lobster Roll - 8.8 French Fries - 8.1 Food - 8.4 Service - 8.2 Value - 8.2 Restaurant score - 83

Yelp
Okay, I'm stuck on the Claw House. At the same time, I'm a little disappointed that they do not have a whole lobster any more. It wasn't too crowded so we were able to sit at the bar. I always get their house oysters. They are outstanding. He got the peel and eat shrimp. Next up, the Claw burger for me. He got the shrimp tacos. My burger was good. Would I come back here? You betcha!! If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

Yelp
Service was super great, the food however was quite lackluster. My party was excited to try this spot, with the location being so great and the exciting inside. We all were quite disappointed with our meal, with the exception of the chopped salad, which was utterly delicious. Our consensus was that our everything seemed under seasoned and dry. Fisherman's platter was , grouper platter was tasty but bland, and the filet was pricey and chewy. Fun spot, but would recommend looking elsewhere sadly, especially for the price.

Yelp
Came here at 8. They close at 9. Huge wait...50 minutes to an hour. We were eventually seated on the covered patio. We ordered right away and got the food fast. My BIL got fish and chips and said it was the best fish and chips that he ate on our vacation. My sis and I got the crab nachos. They were AMAZING. If you're thinking about getting them....DO IT. I got a warm butter lobster roll as well. It was good but definitely needs a rémoulade sauce added. Service was very friendly and sweet but slightly inattentive. All in all....even with the wait, well worth it. I would go there again just for the crab nachos.

Yelp
Last night (7-9) my brother and I went for dinner. We sat at the bar in front of the oyster shucking station. The two guys working the bar were absolutely fantastic. We started off with the drunken mussels then some oysters, then crab and shrimp egg rolls and finally the melted butter lobster roll. The food was remarkable as always. The service from the raw bar guys was beyond excellent. The Claw house is my favorite restaurant and the one I visit most every time I come down to South Carolina from Boston. Thank you for another great experience. Thank you Steve

Yelp
Cool place and location. I got a steamer pot and everything was cold when it was served.

Yelp
Fun place to have lunch or dinner. Great service from the moment you walk in. Food was good. Great selection of beers and cocktails.
google avatar

Lindsay B.

Yelp
The Claw House is always a fun place for the whole family. Unfortunately, our party was too big to sit out on the porch, which provides views of the water. Still, inside seating was just fine with us. We had oysters to start our meal. They were delicious. I had the poke tuna tacos, which were not bad, but not amazing. My kids had a sirloin, salmon and chicken schnitzel, which they all enjoyed. My husband stuck with a favorite of ours, the crab nachos. Those are always a win. We didn't have drinks, but they have a huge selection of beer on tap, along with wine and cocktails.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a few times before and loved it, but last week we came here and was pretty disappointed. Service and ambiance are always great here which is a plus. The food is usually great but this last time it was mediocre. We ordered the crab nachos which weren't bad but there wasn't enough crab or queso. The mango on it was also frozen which wasn't a pleasant taste or texture. I ordered the poke bowl and that's where they lost me. The poke bowl was seriously lacking in flavor and tasted more like something someone made at home. The rice was bland and not completely cooked, the carrots and cucumber were just cut up carrots and cucumbers and not marinated or pickled in anything. The sauce was also lacking. Basically the entire bowl was bland and lacked any flavor.

Yelp
I enjoyed a lovely fresh fish lunch at the Claw House, topped off with a beautiful view! I was able to sit outside on a lovely Saturday afternoon, where the restaurant has an open patio overlooking the inlet. The fish and grits I ordered were flavorful and filling, and I appreciated the quick and friendly service. It definitely seems like it can get busy at times but I enjoyed the quiet! Easy free parking across the street in the dirt lot.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
We have a table on the covered patio with an awesome view. The food was excellent. We had a grill platter and wedge salad. They even accommodated some of my food, sensitivities and modified my dish. The service was also first rate. We highly recommend The Claw House.
google avatar

Jon N.

Yelp
Mediocre, dull flavors created with low quality ingredients that appeared to be assembled in a hurry.
google avatar

Anthony D.

Yelp
Great ambience! Our server was phenomenal. She did everything right. I think she was from New York. The food was so-so and the price was kinda high.
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh fish beautiful view and great service and very little wait time love this place best restaurant on the walkway

Yelp
Lunch at Claw House on 10/22/24. Excellent service from MS. Hope, our server. Wife loved the oysters rock. My crab nachos were amazing. 6 inches tall with a beautifully colorful presentation. Wine was reasonable. We will be back.
google avatar

Luc D.

Yelp
The grab dinner was delightful. Fun and loud place. We liked the vibe and our server was attentive and efficient.
google avatar

T Z.

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice, we sat out on the back where you had a nice breeze and could see the inlet. We all got seafood. my wife got the lobster roll (she said it was great), I had the grouper stack. Which was nicely done and not greasy. The crab cake was delicious. Our friends got oysters that they said were delicious and fresh. My wife had a strawberry fizz that she said tasted great. Our server Maddie was personable and attentive. We will definitely come again.
google avatar

Charon R.

Yelp
This place has quickly become our go to on our trips to the beach. We always had directly to the bar around back and pick from the amazing craft beer options. The crab stack is always my go to and it never disappoints! I was a bit disappointed with the wine selection when we were in two weeks ago. I was served an ice cold Cabernet out of a paper individual size box and if that's the only option next time we go I will definitely skip it! You guys can do better than that! Service is only so so outside at that bar but luckily the snacks we've had and the view make it worth it.
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
We loved the claw house!! The claw house is on the marsh walk and it was delishious!! We got the seafood Mac and cheese, bacon jam scallops and the Grouper. The service and view of the marsh was also amazing. If thou are in the Myrtle, Surfside or Murrels Inlet area, than I HIGHLY recommend the Claw House

Jill D.

Yelp
Ordered 4 crab clusters to go and I regret that we did not look at them first. Way overcooked and dry. Could get any meat out of the shells because it was so shredded. So disappointing
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Very lovely restaurant and atmosphere. There's the option to dine indoors, outdoors on the covered porch, or outside on the Marshwalk area. Service was fast however, I ordered a hot lobster roll and was delivered a cold lobster roll. The waitress or waiter doesn't bring out the food, it's brought out by a food runner, and they aren't able to do anything about the order. I was so looking forward to enjoying the warm lobster roll, so I just boxed up my meal to bring home to heat it up and eat tomorrow.
google avatar

Charlotte W.

Yelp
We decided to go here for happy hour specials and dinner. Our amazing waitress Candace made sure we had everything we needed and kept our drinks full! We ordered the pretzel bite, skewers and calamari happy hour specials. All of them came out quickly and everything was very good except the calamari was very chewy. Candace took care of it and made sure to find out what was wrong with it so she could let the kitchen know. We ordered dinner and everything came out and was delicious! I got the crab cake sandwich but just ate it as a crab cake. Candace was very friendly had a great personality and was on top of everything we needed!
google avatar

Marissa K.

Yelp
Just an update. Food is still solid. Don't really trust the digital check out option. Looking at the calculations the percent charge was higher than I selected AND they calculate it on tax included. Not cool.
google avatar

Dee T.

Yelp
We entered from The Marsh Walk and had to find our way to the hostess at the front of the restaurant for seating. We were greeted immediately and asked preferred seating and she advised us that we could be seated immediately if we chose outside no cover or outside covered patio. This was great for us as we wanted water side seating with umbrella table. Our waiter greeted us and took our drink order. The view is beautiful and the breeze was perfect! I chose the strawberry salad as I needed a break from the seafood we have been eating and it was filled with fresh greens, fresh strawberries and whole walnuts and the chicken was delicious!!! The service spot on and I will definitely return if in this area.
google avatar

Yelp
Great meal with good friends and family. We arrived with a party of nine and were told it would be 45 minutes until we had a table. We got drinks and were patiently waiting enjoying the incredible exotic fishes aquarium when after about 15 minutes they asked if we'd be okay with high tops in the bar we said sure! (Even though out on the patio is best, if you can get it!) our waitress was wonderful food was great especially the fisherman's platter. We even added a to go order for one of our party we would see later. Iced tea was exceptional. The only downside was the "Maryland" crab cake which wasn't Maryland style at all. We're from Baltimore so .... You can get it but just so you know it is NOT Maryland style. We had a great time and would come back anytime.
google avatar

Phil P.

Yelp
Brought out of town friends to Claw House for lunch. Always a great ambiance and the service is top notch. We started with some Canada oysters which were perfect with Tabasco and lemon. Beers and mixed drinks superseded the entrees which were 8 oz filet steak, fish and chips, grouper stack and lobster roll. Nothing but praise from everyone on the taste!
google avatar

Camryn H.

Yelp
Went here for the first time about a week ago! The service was great & food was delicious. Naturally it is a little pricey, but it isn't at all as fancy on the inside as I thought it was. Definitely would recommend giving it a chance. Get the raspberry mojito while you're there! It's delicious! They do have their gluten free options labeled which is nice!

Jason B.

Yelp
This a nice large turnover style restaurant that has a little bit better than average food ..... the service was very good and helpful ...food and drink came out relatively fast and was hot ..... down fall was bar drinks had very little alcohol in them and were vary expensive for the size of drink we got !!! The fish sandwich that we both ordered were very large in size but was advertised as haddock it was definitely cod or something of the like but we overall thought it was a good lunch spot for a quick meal !!!!
google avatar

Nita H.

Yelp
I wish we had gone to this recommended spot earlier on arrival! This was THE best meal I had during our day at MB.. it was 6 of us and Audi took care of us. She works well under pressure and timely. I had the fish bites appetizer and pan seared grouper. It was sooo good! Audi then became our photographer at the end of the night as my sorority sisters wanted to capture the beautiful moment! I'll recommend the spot to anyone who listens! We enjoyed, laughed, ate and drank! Thanks for the good time!
google avatar

Krista B.

Yelp
This was the first place I ate, when I visited Myrtle Beach and it did not disappoint. It made me look forward to all the seafood I was going to eat on that trip! lol. This is a wonderful big spot, right in the what's normally bustling area during the summer season. It's a great beach beach house type restaurant. It's large and beach housey inside with a nice big coveted lanai/deck. We opted for the deck. I still dream about the crab cakes lol
google avatar

Cathy P.

Yelp
This place was great. Large assortment of beers on draft, great service, great food. We had the oysters and shared 1lb of peel and eat boiled shrimp. The shrimp were a nice large size and cooked perfectly. Clam chowder was tasty and the wedge salad was different with candies pecans on it. Highly recommend but be prepared to wait.

Julie K.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service. Very clean. Served was excellent. Definitely a great place and reasonably priced. Had crab cakes. Yum!!

Yelp
We came here on a Friday evening and like all of the other restaurants on this strip, there was quite a line. Well... the wait was MORE than worth it! To our surprise, they had a massive fish tank up front full of beautiful fish. It kept our younger cousin's fully entertained all the way up to being seated. They were especially excited when we learned that it had been featured and built on the show "Tanked". We were seated after about a 45 minute wait and our waitress was quick to get out drinks. I tried the spicy margarita and could taste how fresh the ingredients were. It packed quite a punch! We then put in our appetizers that came out pretty quickly. I shared the drunken mussels with my husband. They were steamed with beer, bacon, lemon, garlic, butter and fresh herbs and served with perfectly toasted bread. These were great and I only wished there was a little more garlic flavor throughout. Next, we were on to our main courses and what I had particularly picked this place for. THE LOBSTER ROLL! I opted for the warm one, served in a split top bun and drizzled with melted butter goodness and a side of fries. The first bite quite literally made me dance. It was SO fresh tasting, with large chunks of lobster and a perfectly toasted, soft bun. My husband went with the steak sandwich and said it fully lived up to his hopes and more. It is safe to say that The Claw House will be a staple for us during our annual beach week. Thanks for having us!

Yelp
BEST EATS in Murrells Inlet for a night out. Lemon drops made by Mason and Steve . Crab nachos with manago chucknee , oysters, and crab poppers were the best. The servers are excellent and very courteous . The managers made us feel us feel so welcome.
google avatar

Marina L.

Yelp
Tried the lobster roll- was hesitant since it's kinda pricey but it really hit the spot and was worth the extra $. Good clam chowder too. Noah was a good waiter
google avatar

Kelsey E.

Yelp
This is our favorite restaurant on the inlet, the food is amazing, the view of the marsh walk is perfect, we have always had the nicest staff, you simply can not beat it! If you want good seafood and a fun environment, this is the place to go!

Katie K.

Yelp
Great place! Enjoyed our meal with great views and quick service at the bar with John! Oysters were amazing!
google avatar

Sharon T.

Yelp
I can't say enough about how good the food was or how great the service was! We were greeted and seated right around 4:30. We ordered our drinks and since we already knew we wanted the all you can get crab legs, which is the Monday special, we didn't even look at the menu. We barely had time for a sip of our drinks before our food arrived. And that was OK! Food was hot and delicious. We finished our first plate of crab legs and got two more before we were done. Each plate came out quickly and hot. Well worth the money!! I forgot to get our server's name, but she was great! All the runners were in top form too! Great job Claw House!!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
We came here on our last night of vacation, and it was a great place to end our trip. We went for an early dinner, and they had happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers. We were seated quickly at a table inside. This place is really big, and I liked the decor. I got the calamari appetizer as a meal and split that with my dad who got the fried shrimp and fries. The fries were so good! Nice and crispy how I like them. The shrimp and calamari were also very good. I was very full, but as it was our last night, we had to end with a slice of key lime pie. It was delicious! More tart than other ones, but I liked it. I would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
I'm extremely picky and I really enjoyed this restaurant. We came at 6 with a party of 10 and waited over an hour. I really wish you could make reservations because it would make the experience so much better. While waiting we sat at the bar and enjoyed beverages, oysters and crab nachos. The nachos were amazing and very fresh. For dinner we had a variety of different things but the fish stood out the most. Very fresh and tasty. Our waitress missed getting my husband's order and seemed very stressed. But overall I would 100% return.
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
This was an absolutely stunning place to have dinner. The service was great, the views amazing and my food was spectacular. My husband and cousin ordered fish and I would say their food was about average. I ordered the Raw Bar Sampler which included fresh oysters, peel and eat shrimp, clams, tuna, ceviche, and crab and shrimp wraps. It was so beautiful, so fresh and fantastic tasting. This is the thing to come for, along with the view, of course. We enjoyed cocktails and a wonderful evening I would recommend stopping by.

John M.

Yelp
The place was fun. We sat at a corner table in the bar area, the food and service were good the calamari was ok but not great. And we drank them out of rumplemints.
google avatar

Jaron M.

Yelp
We loved visiting here on vacation. Everywhere was full and we were nervous it would be a couple hours before we'd get food with toddlers but they were quick and service was excelllent!
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
My wife and I had a lovely time devouring the crab nachos. It filled us up. We ended up ordering s dessert to go. Will have to go back to enjoy an entree.

Yelp
Great! Loved our food...clam strips, clam chowder, shrimp po boy, all so very good. The side order of Mac and cheese was off tho. A good place for lunch/dinner. Came back a second nite.... BOMB! Clam strips (again ) and bacon jam scallops....we cleaned our plates. Definitely recommend!!!!
