The Cliff Hotel Jamaica

Stayed here for a few nights and it exceeded expectations. The property is very peaceful and well designed — you immediately feel relaxed when you arrive. The rooms are big, clean, and have great views in the evening. What stood out most was how quiet it is at night. No noise, no distractions — just proper rest. Slept better here than I have in a long time. Tried both dinner experiences and really enjoyed them. The cave restaurant is a cool concept and the outdoor candlelight dinner was a nice touch. Food and service were solid. Overall, it’s a great place if you want comfort, privacy, and a calm environment. Would recommend and would stay again.

I’ve been visiting Jamaica 3–4 times a year since 1989, and under its new ownership and renovation, this is by far the best place to stay in Negril for luxury, exceptional food, stunning panoramic views, and true tranquility. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately immersed in the calm atmosphere of the Cliff Hotel. Having visited Jamaica over 70 times, I can confidently say it doesn’t get better than this. I also had the pleasure of meeting the new owner and his wife, which made the experience even more special. This is now my go-to spot in Negril—simply the best.

Had a wonderful time at the Cliff hotel. As soon as we stepped into the foyer we had a sense of calm. I loved the pictures of locals adorning the walls. The whole environment felt authentic compared to our previous branded all inclusive hotel. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The best kept secret was the small sea water pool near the edge of the cliff. Sitting in the water amongst thr fishes was a delight. The restaurant included local dishes and the setting especially at sunset was breathtaking. Could happily sit around the cliff for hours just looking out to sea. The room was spacious and clean. My only suggestion would be to add a ceiling fan on the balcony. Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Negrill. As someone who has stayed at hotels around the island this was our best experience to date.

We had the privilege of spending more than 12 days at this magnificent hotel! We would like to express our total satisfaction with the beauty of the place, the quality of the establishment, the cleanliness, the food, and above all, the kindness of the employees. We were extraordinarily advised and supervised by Antony at the reception. We had impeccable service and laughed with Romono and his colleagues. The food was delicious and the menu offers a beautiful variety combining traditional Jamaican dishes revisited in a gourmet way, and more international dishes. We were served by a perfect gentleman named Adrian at the bar. This is not to mention our taxi driver appointed by the hotel - Champs, who took us to the right place and brought us back safely without delay. The Cliff, aptly named, is expressed by the splendor of the cliffs plunging into the sea. Swimming is possible there but beware of the sea which can get rough quickly. For the more cautious, 7 Mile Beach is a short $20 taxi ride away. Antony will be able to recommend the best spots. We extend our sincere thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

This was our first time in Jamaica, and we were looking for a quiet, relaxing hotel for the weekend. We found The Cliff Hotel, and it was perfect! The staff was friendly and welcoming during our entire stay, and always available to answer any questions or arrange a car for us to take into town. The grounds are so beautiful with the cliffs, caves, natural sea pool, and bar pools. The restaurant food was so delicious! We had the traditional Jamaican breakfast two mornings! Amazing! The spa is tranquil and soothing during a massage, overlooking the ocean. It was the perfect weekend for us, and we can’t wait to go back and stay longer!

This is our third time visiting The Cliff Hotel, and we will continue to do so every year.||The staff is, in a word, simply incredible. All were great, but special thanks to Kimmie and Tamara in restaurant, Dino, LT, and Travoy at the bars, Carolyn in the spa, and Lewis the lifeguard! We also had butler service from Jermaine and he was excellent to us. Chef Junior (and staff) never disappointed us.||The property looks nearly untouched from the storm and you would never know from their attentive and caring service that the staff have been without power and dealing with damage at home. Do them a favor and come visit them to help them out!||Spend your days relaxing by the pool and jumping off the cliffs. Even when the property is full you feel like you are the only people there. The Zest restaurant is great and everything on the menu is delicious. We highly recommend getting dinner in the Cave at least once.||If you need to get away from everything and just relax for a few days this is the place. Do not hesitate to book it, you will not be disappointed. Seriously, stop looking at other properties and just book The Cliff.

The Cliff remains one of my favourite resorts to visit, from the unmatched beauty to the delicious food and the warm hospitality from the staff. To top it off, when I found out that they were taking in displaced guests after the passage of Hurricane Melissa, my appreciation for them skyrocketed. I would recommend this property 100%.

Stayed October 16th-21st 2025 Gorgeous Place! Gated, with guards. Feels extremely safe. BEAUTIFUL. Everywhere you walk is more beautiful than the pictures shown. I am very skeptical of pictures, being that is typically the best I feel it will look.... absolutely not. It is by far more beautiful than even the pics. The (clean) pool looks over the ocean, It was a very quiet resort. Very CLEAN and maintained, not only on the grounds, but in the room. Daily room cleaning. The A/C worked great. NO BUGS haha, (My biggest fear) The staff is phenomenal. Every single staff member there was great. Esp. the bartenders outside in the evening, were great to laugh and conversate with. They helped set us up with a tour to Booby Cay absolute last minute, which was amazing! The food and drinks are great there. I honestly can't find one flaw, and I am picky lol This place gets it right, that's for sure.
