Went for breakfast with my wife. The watermelon was not too sweet and very smooth! The French Toast was perfect, crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and a covered in fruit! Prices are great and food and service was really 5 star experience! Such a lovely experience, coming back for sure! 😁

Food was delicious, atmosphere was cute and cozy, service was great! We loved our visit and will def be coming back. It’s a great neighborhood gem and in a very walkable spot. We had the salmon salad, cilbir eggs, and shrimp tacos. Going to have to try the French toast next time.

Update July 2025: The Cliff has updated their menu. There is so much more on offer! This vegetarian cafe is a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. This trip I got the mozzarella sandwich, shared fries and my husband got the salmon sandwich. The fries were awesome, I have to say I was surprised. My husband loves his salmon sandwich, he said the cream cheese was yummy. He got a matcha latte and I got a cappuccino. Both yummy as usual. The last time I was here with a friend I got the shrimp tacos which I loved and my friend got the cauliflower wrap which she said was really good. Everything is always fresh and healthy. They also have a sitting area out back and you can have your dog out there.

On a sunny Sunday, we decided to check out The Cliff, a charming little cafe that caught our eye with its chic vibe and inviting atmosphere. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely brunch while soaking up the sun. The menu is particularly appealing, packed with a variety of vegan and vegetarian options that cater to a wide range of tastes. We kicked off our meal with the Biscuit Sandwich, which typically comes with egg and cheese nestled inside a fluffy biscuit. This dish was quite impressive! The biscuit was perfectly baked, flaky on the outside while remaining soft inside, and the combination of flavors was delightful. Next, we moved on to the Buffalo Cauliflower Wrap, which was a satisfying choice. We also tried the Cobb Salad, which, while decent, didn’t quite stand out as much as the other dishes. To complement our meal, we indulged in some smoothies, which were refreshing and well-blended. They were a nice way to cool off on a warm day and added a healthy touch to our brunch. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of what they have to offer!

This is my favourite cafe in Jersey Heights. The team are so friendly and chilled, making you welcome whether you’re working from home with a coffee or having a full meal with a friend. The food is good quality home cooking made with love and care. We will keep coming back! Thank you 🙏

Love this little spot! An outdoor deck in the back and good amount of seating indoors. The menu has lots of yummy options, especially if you’re vegan or vegetarian!

Google
We visited a charming brunch spot in Jersey City on a Sunday morning without a reservation. The menu looked appealing, so we decided to give it a try. From what I could tell, the menu is entirely vegetarian. I ordered the avocado toast with bacon, but it turned out to be fake bacon, which didn’t taste good. It would have been better with real bacon. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp tacos and enjoyed them. For dessert, we had the French toast, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the French toast. One downside was the wait time. Although we were seated right away, it took at least 15 minutes for someone to take our order, and another 15 minutes to get our bill. I wish the staff had been more attentive. Overall, the French toast is fantastic. If you’re a vegetarian, you’ll find plenty of good options here. However, if you prefer a traditional American breakfast, you might not find many choices.

Yelp
This spot is amazing, their backyard atmosphere is elite! I try something different every time I come here and I am always so happy. They have a unique menu and the service is casual but always helpful. It's a perfect balance for someone looking for a new brunch spot or cafe that is classy but not too overwhelming.

Yelp
Had a quiet Sunday brunch with family and really enjoyed the experience. It's a charming little café with a cozy, quaint vibe--we lucked out with a snug corner seat that made it feel extra relaxed. We ordered the asparagus, goat cheese, and herb omelet, tofu scramble, mexi bowl, ricotta pancake with blueberry compote, coffee, and a mocha latte. Gorgonzola fries were our least favorite. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Service was quick and friendly, which added to the overall positive vibe. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area and looking for a peaceful spot with good food and easygoing service.

Yelp
First time at this cute spot! Very cozy and love how sunny it is :) I got the Iced Vanilla Latte and my friend got the Iced Matcha. Our drinks were 3/5, the quality was decent but nothing that I would crave again. On the other hand, the food was super good and fresh! Definitely come here if you're looking for something light. The huevos rancheros were basic, but the buffalo cauliflower wings were so flavorful and yummy. The quinoa wrap was super fresh, and would definitely recommend to add an egg! Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow even though we were one of few tables here and my friends meal came out probably 15 minutes after everyone else was done with theirs. However he loveeeeed the Cilbir eggs and gave them 5/5. Would come again if I was looking for something non-greasy and refreshing after a week of heavy NYC eats!

Yelp
It's been a long time since I dined at The Cliff but this cute little spot is officially back on my radar. They have a pretty perfect menu, adorable dining area and a perfect outside patio. Seriously nothing not to love. Came here with 2 friend for brunch (which they serve everyday!) and got a great seat on the outside patio. They don't take reservations but luckily we didn't need any that day. Do yourself a favor and get the watermelon mint juice. It was amazing, so refreshing, I could have gulped it down. Some of got that and another got the smoothie, which I know she loved as well. For my meal, I got the asparagus and goat cheese omelette. Delicious and loaded with goat cheese. Might sound a little crazy but it might have been a little tooooo much goat cheese. But still a pretty almost perfect omelette. It came with toast and a side of greens. We also got a side of truffle fries for the table and the saltiness was so perfect alongside my omelette. One of my friends is vegan, and she had so many options to choose from on this menu and they had no problem making small modifications for her like taking cheese off of her breakfast burrito. Now that I know about their adorable back patio and watermelon juice, I plan to return super soon. This is a great spot hidden in The Heights.

Yelp
Great salads and coffee. Perfect for lunch. Even tho it's a small space they accommodated three strollers for us and the girl working was super sweet. Offered to do separate checks. Cobb salad was great (love the buffalo cauliflower). Also got fries for the table with chipotle aioli and they did not disappoint. Cappuccino was also good.

Yelp
The Cliff in Jersey City, NJ. This cute cafe nestled in Jersey City, NJ needs to be on your list. It's a few steps away from 9th Street light rail stop making it super convenient to get to. It gives a neighborhood vibe-serving delicious coffee and super healthy but amazing food! Everything is homemade here from the cheddar chive biscuits to the brioche French toast. The Cliff is open 7 days a week, is BYOB and there's a super cute patio garden in the back during the Spring and Summer time! Brioche French Toast- Thick cut brioche, mascarpone, toasted almonds, coconut, fresh berries, butter & maple syrup. Smoked Salmon- Thin sliced Smoked Salmon on Multigrain Bread with Cream Cheese & Chives served with a Mixed Green Salad. Biscuit Sandwich- Cheddar Chive Biscuit with Egg & Cheese 2 Eggs Any Style- Roasted potatoes, Greens & Sourdough Toast

Yelp
Been here many times. Every time is delicious. The staff and place are great. Love the neighborhood feel. The food is always great and fresh. Different all the time. I wasnt a fan of the watermelons drinks but that's just me. lol Go here. It's always great.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful little spot for breakfast. It was a perfect cozy restaurant to catch up with a dear friend of mine. They have amazing coffee. I loved my latte which had some cute latte art. I ended up ordering the biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was so fluffy and flavorful, and accompanied the cheesy scrambled eggs on top in the most savory way. Excellent service. The staff were so friendly and nice and let my friend and I just leisurely dine and catch up.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast since it's closeby and their unique menu was appealing. My friend and I shared the cod burger, buffalo cauliflower wrap, and truffle fries. Quality/taste: ALL of the food was delicious! 10/10 recommend trying the cod burger and the buff cauliflower wrap. The cod burger was very flavorful and melted in my mouth. The buffalo cauliflower wrap was super unique in flavor, I like how the buffalo sauce wasn't too powerful and vinegar-y; with the cauliflower and avocado was really good. Both dishes tasted clean and not too heavy. The truffle fries were really good as well, it was enough truffle oil and the fries were cut thin which made it super easy to eat and I got a lot of the flavor in each bite! I really enjoyed the meal and it tasted like they used quality ingredients. Service: Quick service, and the food came out fast. The server as really nice but also super laid back. She was super accommodating and gave us everything we needed very quickly. Ambiance: Pretty cute space but it was very limited seating inside. Maybe about 10 tables total. Not great for big parties. Bathroom was clean, which was nice. Price: Fairly reasonable pricing - not overly priced. I will be returning and I will definitely be getting these 2 dishes again!! They don't have any meat options here; only pescetarian and vegetarian options. 10/10 recommend!!

Yelp
Unfortunately this place completely missed the mark for us. From the jump the hosting staff was unwelcoming and neither seemed to take interest in checking on the guests or making sure they were having a good experience. As far as the food goes, I didn't get a photo of the main dish which was huevos rancheros but it was very unflavorful. We ordered a side of fries and found them to be completely overdone. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Cute little cafe for a casual weekend brunch. Good split of indoor and backyard outdoor seating, which is pet friendly. Not a ton of shade in the back. The menu is a good mix of breakfast options (eggs), lunch options (salads), and healthy options (fresh juice). Service was a bit slow to take our orders and to settle up our check but it was a busy, sunny weekend brunch hour.
google avatar

Yelp
Turned away and treated very unwelcome! We were very excited to try this spot after viewing their menu, and drove from quite a ways for brunch. Although we arrived 40 minutes before their closing time, we were immediately faced with rudeness. The server Star sneered at us as we inquired if they were open until 3 as listed and she said it was for takeout only. They also appeared to be drinking as there were multiple high noons on the table where servers were hanging out and closing up early. It's unfortunate as it looked like a cute spot for Brunch.

Yelp
Small spot, about 4 counter stools and 6 tables. We sat at a long table with another couple at the other end. I was craving their in house granola, but they don't have it anymore l. :/ We ordered a vegan burger, chopped kale salad with cherries on the side and a quinoa wrap. $43.19 We are both so hungry, it's a late start today. The kale salad is simple, decent, although the tarragon dressing is a tad bland. The kale leaves are nice, no hard veins at all. The beyond vegan burger is okay. The truffle fries are so-so, doesn't really have much truffle oil on them. The quinoa wrap is pretty good, lots of different textures from all of the veggies, slight crunch from the quinoa, some creaminess from the feta and chipotle aioli.

Yelp
Was browsing on Yelp looking for dog friendly restaurants to take my cousins dog to celebrate his birthday! What sold us on this spot was the outdoor patio with colorful floating umbrellas hanging above. We showed up on a Sunday around 11am and although it was quite busy inside, the outdoor patio was serene. We were greeted by two employees who led us to our table on the patio. They also had outdoor seating in front as well but there is no shade so the patio is best. Dogs could be seated inside and outside which is a plus. Our seat was somewhat directly in the sun so it was toasty outside. The best seats are the ones in the left corner or right corner. After scanning the QR code on the table, we chose through plenty of yummy options including vegetarian and vegan! I decided to order a matcha lemonade (because the yelp reviews rave about it!), buffalo cauliflower burrito and french fries. My sister ordered huevos rancheros with a side of buffalo cauliflower and my cousin ordered a strawberry smoothie and a lobster roll. It took quite a while to order as we had to wave down a waitress but once the order was paid the food came out fresh and QUICK! I highly suggest the buffalo cauliflower and matcha lemonade! The matcha lemonade was refreshing especially since it was hot out. Buffalo cauliflower was semi spicy and flavorful. My cousin and sister loved their dishes too! If it's hot out, ask them for ice water as they serve hot water if you don't ask. Will be returning to try other menu items!

Yelp
Ordered the Nuevos huevos rancheros and the Omelet. At first glance, the portions were very small. The nuevos huevos rancheros didn't have much flavor and included just one simple tortilla at the base of 2 sunny side up eggs. It was a very simple meal. My boyfriend ordered the omelet and it was overcooked. The asparagus was cut in long chunks, resembling green beans. Would have been better if the asparagus was diced. The order was supposed to come with greens and toast but since we asked for a side of truffle fries, they left out the greens and toast without our knowledge and still charged us extra. Would have been nice to know beforehand. Overall, the restaurant itself is small and quaint. The service and food were average. We were both still hungry afterwards and ordered tamales across the street. Probably will not be heading back.
google avatar

Yelp
The drinks were kind of watered down but the food was really good! Loved the truffle fries! Cute little spot. The service was good too, they were on top of it.

Yelp
This is a tiny little breakfast/lunch place. There are maybe five tables inside? Feels very cramped. We were lucky to grab the last table when we were there at around 12 noon on a Saturday, but it was a high top. This made it extremely difficult for our baby, as her high chair was below the level of the table. They were playing oldies music throughout the cafe, which was catchy and cute. The breakfast burrito was the tiniest breakfast burrito I've ever seen. It was tasty, but I am very glad that I ordered a kid's quesadilla that my toddler did not want because otherwise we would have left the restaurant hungry. The kid's quesadilla was just cheese on a tortilla but a larger portion than the breakfast burrito. We also ordered a cod burger, which was decent and a more reasonable portion.

Yelp
A homey modernized quaint brunch spot with some solid food! Came on a Sunday afternoon & we were sat down right away. I got the Brioche French Toast, which was beautifully plated and presented. It was two thick square slices topped with banana, strawberries, kiwi, almonds, honey, and butter. The French toast itself didnt seem to have a super strong batter to me, as the dish seemed to rest on the strength of its toppings, but the bread was very thick, light, and fluffy. It was a lighter take on French toast, with the refreshing flavor of the fruit, the sweetness of the honey, and the almond crunch being the main characteristics. I would've appreciated some syrup at times when it was a little dry chewing through all that fluffy oxidized bread, but the butter did a good enough job to make it through. Overall it was a solid brunch, I'd come again if I was in the area & so should you!

Yelp
A small cozy cafe. Service is quick and food is good. We tried a mozzarella sandwich & Truffle fries and both were good. Will try again.

Yelp
Cute place. Cool vibe. Went for breakfast. Had an omelette. It was with asparagus and goat cheese. Very tasty. Came with arugula. Which i love. Coffee was good. Service was attentive. Did not feel rushed. And the prices were fair

Yelp
YUM. Had brunch here with a friend and it was cozy and not too loud. Usually opt for boozy brunches but didn't even mind the fact that this place doesn't serve alcohol because the Watermelon Mint juice was the best I've ever had! Buffalo cauliflower had enough sauce on it for the flavor but wasn't drenched in it. I'm not a crazy veggie fanatic and loved these. Cod burger was fresh and the fries were addicting. Service was welcoming and quick. Can't wait to come back here in the warmer seasons and experience the outdoor space.

Yelp
Such a cute, initiate and cozy place to have brunch with friends and family. One of my friends actually recommended it when she came with her family. I decided to go for brunch with some friends and everyone loved it. The cliff offers vegan/vegetarian options as well which is always a plus. We sat outdoors underneath the umbrellas which was a nice touch, it reminded me of when I was in Puerto Rico. To start for drinks we ordered the watermelon mint juice which was so refreshing and the matcha lemonade. For our dishes we ordered the huevos rancheros, 2 eggs any style, the avocado toast, the breakfast burrito and the brioche French toast. Portions were decent and we were full but not in a sluggish way which was perfect. The French toast was amazing and well balanced with the mascarpone and fruits. And I loved my entree it was so delicious and the kale added an extra touch of greens which was well needed. Feel free to bring your own bottles of champagne as for it is BYOB and it is kid friendly and dog friendly. I would definitely come back for more eats from this location. Staff was very friendly which makes an experience much more enjoyable. Prices were very decent which I loved, very affordable. Tips: plenty of street parking, location is a bit small so call in advance to reserve, no menus will have to look up menu on your phone, view site or call for hours or operation.

Yelp
Great options with an aesthetic ambiance. Ideal for vegan/vegetarian folks. Perfect for a Sunday brunch.

Yelp
Such a cute cafe in the heights! Lots of outdoor seating, and spaced out very well Lots of vegetarian options. Their coffee/ espresso is very good We got the pressed sandwich and quinoa wrap. I thought the quinoa wrap was a little dry, but they have a huge selection of hot sauces that you can use. They sell sauce bae hot sauce with turmeric, which was my favorite and ended up buying to bring back home. I've realized they're only open on weekends. I wish they were open on weekdays as well But- I'm So happy that I found a cafe this good close to home!

Yelp
Jersey City heights isn't usually my first choice when it comes to brunch but I am so glad we took a visit to the @thecliffjc. Located on Congress Street, The Cliff is a cute aesthetic restaurant that has a ton of options including a great vegan selection. For drinks we tried the matcha lemonade which was so refreshing as well as the mocha latte which was perfectly warm. The cod burger was just so fresh and flavorful and of course we could never go wrong w a breakfast burrito to start the day. The star of the show was definitely the French toast which was on a brioche bread that went perfectly with the fresh fruit and toasted almonds. Not only was the food great, but the staff was equally as warm and hospitable. Fun fact - the owner of @thecliffjc also owns the @goldencicadajc which is right in the heart of grove street. Don't miss out on a great Saturday brunch!!

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying this vegan-friendly BYOB cafe today, but ended up being a little underwhelmed with brunch. While they have a cute outdoor patio and a variety of menu options, the portions were on the small size. My husband's cod burger at least came with fries, but my breakfast burrito was made using a very small wrap and came with two strawberries and two blackberries on the side. The food was good; my burrito was least flavorful, but everyone else complimented the seasoning of their dishes.
google avatar

Claire M.

Yelp
This is a nice BYOB spot for a casual brunch. The place is small but it wasn't totally slammed when we went. I had the avocado toast and my friend had the breakfast burrito and truffle fries. The truffle fries were very good and it came with homemade ketchup, though the avocado toast was a little plain. Place is cute and clean on the inside. However they were playing Guns N Roses on blast for at least half the time we were there - an odd choice for a breakfast place in my opinion. Also very affordable compared to some of the chichi places in the area.

Yelp
Update 10/26/19: I love this place!!! What a great way to start my morning! I absolutely love this place and you should try it too! It's small, cozy, has outdoor sitting and the environment is just perfect. We didn't have to wait since it was Monday morning I guess but we're happy we didn't. We ordered omelette, greens, breakfast burrito and French toast. Oh-My-GOD! It was so delicious and devoured everything without thinking about calories and sugar lol. The French toast wasn't even sweet at all, it was perfect!!! We originally were supposed to go to Brownstone in JC but was closed, well things happen for a reason and I'm so glad I found this place! Today was peaceful and it was perfect, I love the extra natural light and cushions by the window. It's a nice sort of industrial looking place and the decor makes you feel at home

Yelp
Service was the disappointment We went for a celebration! It could have been a better experience! The server was not in a good mood . We certainly felt unattended . At the end of the day Good and Drinks were plentiful View for days and Sunshine were the better experience. Would I go back while in town? Id try other Restaurants first !
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted to find a spot to eat that I can bring my dog since we were heading to the groomers afterwards and my fellow Yelpers brought me to the Cliff! (yes to pet-friendly establishments!) My friend and I were seated in their outdoor area (even gave us a water bowl for my dog which was appreciated)! The outdoor seating is definitely "Instagram-worthy" and just a perfect place for brunch/lunch. I tried the Avocado toast which was good - nothing bad about it but just not anything special.
google avatar

Won Hee K.

Yelp
This place is quite cute! We liked its local vibe. We loved their Huevos Rancheros - it was fresh and appetizing, but light. The french toast was okay but heavy.
google avatar

Ben L.

Yelp
5 stars for the music alone! But the food is amazing too. Breakfast burrito is my fav, but don't miss out on the Gorgonzola fries . One of the cutest spots in the heights! Just wish they were open more hours (and for dinner)!
google avatar

Yelp
I usually don't venture out to Jersey City Heights that often, but I sure am glad I did today. This is a nice boutique breakfast/brunch gem! I came hungry and walked out truly satisfied. I ordered the salmon and asparagus salad along with a hot cup of coffee! Also wanted to get something bit savory so I ordered the "pumpkin walnut chocolate chip" muffin". Everything was absolutely delicious! Prices are not on the cheap side but considering the quality of food and the healthy aspect I do not think it's too bad. The servers are also pretty attentive and nice. Skip the bacon and corn beef hash and give this place a try! Stay healthy!

Yelp
Okay Hoboken! This place is the truth. First, the atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you feel welcome, the tables are adorable and it feels similar to being in a loved ones kitchen. Second, the food was delicious. I ordered the tofu scramble and a watermelon salad. The watermelon was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The mint and cheese crumbles were a great addition. My tofu scramble was very flavorful as well. Potatoes were perfectly cooked, and I really enjoyed the side salad with a light vinaigrette. It is always great to see a few vegan options on restaurants with small menus, so kudos for inclusiveness! Not sure when a return trip to Hoboken will occur for me, but the Cliff will definitely be revisited.
google avatar

Abhiroop D.

Yelp
Very nice and cozy spot in The Heights, a quintessential neighborhood breakfast and coffee spot. Only wish would be for a bit more variety in the menu, but otherwise a very enjoyable spot. Great for vegan lovers, and good solid coffee. Happy to have this place in our neighborhood!

Yelp
Took a trip to The Cliff today. It's been saved on my bookmarks of places to eat at for a minute now. And it came in clutch since I'm trying to eat clean right now. I was even able to replace the goat cheese in my Cobb salad for more greens. The owner greeted me and was very kind.
google avatar

Vu T.

Yelp
Very underwhelming to say the least. There wasn't anything special about the restaurant. The fries with the burger came out cold, and the buns were hard. The cod mixed with pickled cabbage and sauce were decent. The coffee was blah, from my experience the only thing that was on par with what was expected was when the coffee was bad so I had to order an expresso which came out right. My wife's French toast was good from what she said. Their matcha special expresso wasn't good. Service was decent but the hostesses were nice. Meaning they were constantly busy so didn't really have time for us because anyone can tell from me only have eaten the cod and buns were only two bites in. Not their fault as I mentioned the ladies were running around and were constantly busy. Ambiance is friendly and nice with outdoor seating. Might try this place again for other stuff on the menu. But their menu is limited due to it being vegan I believe? Not sure but didn't see any meats.
google avatar

Noelani W.

Yelp
So, this place is good. It's fine. I got the avacado toast which was, again, fine. It tasted good. But the yolk in my poached egg was completely solid. And the portion was so small. And for $12? I could have eaten the $12 and probably gotten just as full. My husband got the french toast, which was the saving grace. It was really tasty.

Yelp
Weekend brunch review..... This was actually my second visit after having been here last weekend. It is a vegan/vegetarian place but you will never miss the meat. Their dishes will tempt any person's appetite and the flavors are on point. They opened a couple of months ago and the outdoor patio, although quaint, was pretty full on a dreary day. For drinks we each had the iced coffee, with myself requesting and getting a shot of espresso added. The Mrs. had the omelette special which consisted of tomato, basil and mozzarella. It was accompanied by roasted potatoes, a refreshing arugula and whole grain toast. I in turn enjoyed what I had last weekend so much that I ordered it again, the Acai bowl. It was served with plenty of fresh fruit, bee pollen and chia seeds. I kept getting brain freeze eating it so fast. Look, if you want to break up the monotony that can be weekend brunch, The Cliff is like a breath of fresh air with their menu. That is coming from someone who is a carnivore and throughly enjoys weekend brunch. Welcome to the Heights.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Super cute quaint cafe located in The Heights boasts a menu full of vegan options. This is not like most cafes. The Cliff prepares both eggs and tofu scramble which is awesome for all those earthy vegans out there. I ordered the veggie burger which was cooked perfectly and juicy inside. The sesame/poppyseed bun reminded me of Burger King- it had a flame grilled scent but tasted like a piece of Balthazar bread. It was amazing and I'm a carnivore. The Cliff has a cute outdoor seating area outside which is full-service. I felt like I was in New Paltz or some super trendy earthy town. Quiet, great WiFi, and amazing coffee! Make sure you sit outside- I was surprised how comfortable their outdoor seating it. Added plus* pretty umbrella collection outside!

Yelp
Loved eating here! Really cute spot, with fantastic food and friendly staff. The restaurant itself is very small and the wait is long so if your not a fan of tight spaces or sitting in a corner/next to other guests than this might not be the place for you. Food was fresh and came out fast. It's also byob which is great. Would highly recommend coming here for brunch.

Yelp
Love this spot!! I was instantly hooked by the interior decor, and all the little details with the wallpaper, decorative throw pillows, lighting fixtures, etc. Also gets a GREAT amount of natural lighting, so it's super Instagram foodie worthy. As for the food, they had a pretty wide selection of options, definitely more appropriate for breakfast/brunch/lunch, you won't have too many heavy options, more id you're looking for a light but still filling meal. I wanted to try one of the more unique and flavor-packed sandwich/salad options, but due to my pregnancy and inability to stomach anything, I had to go for something more simple, so i picked the grilled cheese, which was great with the mustard. My server, Vicky (I believe?), also recommended the watermelon mint juice, which was 100% worth it - tasted incredibly fresh and refreshing. On the note of my server - she was SO helpful, but not overbearing at all, and INCREDIBLY sweet. she had great recommendations, a wonderful personality, and felt more like a friend than my server! 10/10 recommend, if you're looking for an underrated and cute but still casual spot in the area.

Yelp
Wow! Must try! We found this little hide away spot in Jersey City, NJ. They have indoor and outside seating in the back. We ordered the avocado toast, and pressed mozzarella sandwich which were fresh and delicious! The brioche French toast was amazing! I don't generally like french toast due to being drenched, but this one was not and was topped with berries, banana, almonds and buttercream. Soooooo delicious!

Yelp
Food and drinks are always solid! Really enjoy the Cobb salad with buffalo cauliflower. It's got a cool and relaxed vibe here. Nice little outdoor area when the weather is good.

Yelp
I had such high expectations for this place but the food just didn't quite hit the spot for me. That being said, I can see how vegans/vegetarians might love this place as their dishes really cater towards that type of style. (Tofu, Avocado, Acai, etc.) Even though the cafe was nearly empty when we came in, we were still slow to be seated despite being stared at by the chef while walking in. I didn't really mind because we were able to choose where we wanted to be seated and opted to be outdoors. Their patio was lovely, colorful, and extremely creative especially with the umbrella covers (to the Instagram foodies over here). I give this place a low rating because I feel like the food was executed really poorly. The tofu was bland and no amount of ketchup could've saved it, unfortunately. The french toast tasted more like two pieces of bread that was poured over with the smallest amount of syrup. Perhaps it was just a bad day to visit The Cliff; and in no way am I discouraged to try again. The eating space they've curated is something to die for, and nevertheless a space worthy of revisit.

Yelp
The cliff is a great spot in the jersey city heights. It's a vegetarian/vegan menu, something I don't eat/frequent, but I enjoy every dish I've had there. The breakfast burrito is legit with its beans cheese and egg with some great salsa. I've had the avocado toast multiple times, as well as the watermelon and feta dish. I think it's a byob, which is pretty great.

Yelp
The downtown Jersey City feel without the commonly associated hefty price tag. That pretty much sums up this place in one shot. Although the food were good, the space/service made it hard to really enjoy the experience. There's a lot going on in a small space which isn't easy to do. At the least an extra couple of hands on the floor could make it seem less chaotic. All that aside, food was good and had a nice presentation. Everything was definitely fresh and their menu is certainly unique. It's worth at least a stop in.
