Loved the hotel- the adult only floor was exceptional! It was a rainy week, the fireplace & cozy ambiance made working from room enjoyable. Only suggestion- after about 24hrs of a terrible headache, realized it was the flower scented products in the room. After buying new hand soap & body wash (we had our own shampoo & conditioner already) my headache went away & the rest of the trip was great!

Google
O.K., the VIEW from the room we stayed in is absolutely stunning! The natural beauty around the hotel property is truly exceptional.... The rooms are not terribly well-thought out, though, as beautiful as they are: 1. There are too few electrical/USB outlets, and only on one side of the bed.... really? 2. There should be a nightlight in the room, especially since it is so dark -- it is too easy to have an accident in those rooms where the bed is SO high and the floors are all marble -- NIGHTLIGHT, does not seem an unreasonable request, especially for guests who are over 55. 3. In addition to the robes (which are a nice touch), slippers would be appreciated. The floors are marble and VERY cold... 4. The room my wife and I had included a single person love-seat and a high-back wing chair; the prior time we stayed in this same hotel, we had a sofa. Guests should be told/asked which they would prefer.

I want to give special things to Lynn. She made my reservation for my stay. She was very hospitable. Excellent customer service. She is the reason why I came.. The cliff is very beautiful. The rooms were superb very clean very modern. The view was unbelievable.. It’s very quiet if you just wanna get away and rest. There is a young man by the name of Josh who works there as well. He’s the one that does your valet parking. He’s the person that greets you. Excellent customer service also there’s a young man named Vaughn who works in the restaurant. Excellent customer service shout out to you are awesome

Google
We stayed at the Cliffs Resort because the location was convenient. But I was pleasantly surprised by their excellent service. Dahlia behind the desk was kind and accommodating as I kept handing her my trash. The guy monitoring the pool today was exceptional too. It was sprinkling, so he opened the umbrellas so our belongings wouldn’t get wet. And he remembered my name hours later away from the pool. We will definitely stay here again.

Google
The hotel is a bit old but nicely maintained and the service is impeccable. The views are great as well. The restaurant is over priced and the food is meh, and we got quasi-food poisoning from the clam chowder, hence the 4 stars vs 5. If you avoid the restaurant and the price is manageable for you, this is a great place to stay.

Google
We had a great stay at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa. Upon arriving on Saturday, we were greeted by the front desk and served Champane and an assortment of cookies. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was the child size toilet, too low to the ground and too small for my bottom. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff also very helpful. We will be staying here again on our next trip to the Central Coast.

Google
McKennia, and Aaron made our stay so pleasant. The staff at the Cliffs Hotel is exceptional, ready to help at a moments notice. You can tell they care! The beds were extra comfy, the perfect selection of pillows on each bed. The rooms were turned beautifully every day, thank you Carmen! I highly recommend staying here, and will be back.

Google
Very nice and clean hotel, when we arrived and checked in, the lady working on reception (sorry I can’t remember her name) noticed it was my partners birthday and offered us an upgrade for a small fee which we did, we had a beautiful sea and pool view with a balcony. The bed was comfortable. They had robes and towels to use when you use the pool and hot tub which are also nicely heated! There is free parking off site about a 3 minute walk away but also a valet service if you wish to use that at an extra cost. We also ate at the marisol restaurant which is onsite and the food in there was excellent too and the waiter JD was very good too! Wish we were staying here a few nights instead of the one. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Since we live practically next door, up Shell Beach Rd. a bit, we often stroll by here, when we go for an extended walk. It is inevitable to somehow cross paths with Cliffs, when one wants to walk down to the ocean....or cruise the promenade. On one recent walk we just happened to wander into their cute little boutique shop. It is not merely a pedestrian gift shop, but it is a rather classy shop in this hotel. My wife found herself buying a nice 100% cotton sweater & I found a bargain Pumpkin scented hand soap for our home. The lady who helped us was wonderful & we had a nice pleasant time in the store. We brief check out the grounds & reviewed the current menu. The Spa & pool looked appealing. As far as the shop is concerned, here is what they have to say online about it:" "....BOUTIQUE A bit of fun, and a bit of magic, find the perfect gift, or treat for yourself at The Boutique at The Cliffs. What You Will Find... Several well known brands, as well as specialty items from local crafters and boutique brands. We specialize in skincare lines, women's clothing, earth conscious products, unique jewelry, specialty home goods, and thoughtful gifts." Thanks Cliffs..... for having a cool little shop for us to stop by at.

Yelp
We stayed here because they are a pet friendly hotel. This was our first stay here and it was very pet friendly. When we arrived they offered our dog a treat and treated her so sweetly. There was a food and water bowl in the room and a pet bed. The room was very nice and comfortable. Lots of pillows and comfortable bedding. The location was gorgeous. We could walk down to the beach or walk along the bluffs. There is a restaurant on site and all the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel especially if you have a dog.

Yelp
The Cliffs is by far my favorite hotel I've stayed at in Pismo Beach. To note some things I enjoy particularly- the room service dining would be at the top of my list. Excellent service from the Marisol staff and the food is amazing. Not many hotels offer in-room dining as an amenity, but the Cliffs does, and it's always fresh and quick. Another perk is the public beach of which is just a short and gorgeous walk to the ground floor and down some stairs. Very peaceful place. And of course, I have to mention how much I love the moonflower hand soap they provide for each room. Smells like a vacation to pismo beach. Our first stay there we had a really rough time, my mom was critically ill so our time was cut short, as well as some of our amenities we had booked. After bringing this to the attention of the staff, they were beyond helpful- and with the quickest and kindest responses to us too. I felt cared for, and listened to. Which just made me want to come back! I appreciate the Cliffs hotel, and have enjoyed staying here each and every time. Highly recommend a stay here.

Yelp
Communication (text system) with hotel guests is the worst. Staff claimed 3x they don't onow what's going on. Worse during check-out. It seems the whole house requested for a late check-out of 12pm. Yet, we were told late check-out is first come first serve. Bell service even denied we were in their system. The NY eve party is a rip off for $60. We got 2 complimentary wristband and 1 bought for husband. The place looks simple and clean but oh boy, the service. Will not comeback to this place. Pismo has nothing good to offer but ocean!

Kriste M.

Yelp
Our family just spent Cal poly Graduation at the Cliffs hotel. Exceptional! While planning for the big weekend I worked with Kimberly & Melia. They organized the rooms, delivered welcome baskets, handled reservations for meals..we had 22 people in our group and they handled everything perfectly! We were so thankful for their assistance in planning a memorable weekend for our family! Over the top 5 star service... the grounds were perfect. We gathered at the pool during the days and family fire pit gatherings after dinner were priceless! We would highly recommend this location because of the staff, the group specialists, the great food, awesome and helpful bell staff..no detail was missed! We also had the Dads & Grads Brunch. It was delicious and beautiful. Perfect end to an epic weekend!

Yelp
The Cliffs Hotel is an exceptional destination! The convenience of having delicious food from the neighboring Marisol restaurant delivered directly to your room or poolside is fantastic. The breathtaking views and easy beach access via stairs make it a perfect getaway. The charming shop downstairs is perfect for convenient items; my son found some awesome goggles there. Our kids loved their burgers while enjoying the heated pool at night. You hardly need to leave the resort because it has everything you need. Highly recommended! A special shout out to Holly, who provided detailed information about the Fourth of July BBQ the day before. She was incredibly helpful.

Mark W.

Yelp
Beautiful scenery of the ocean and amazing food in the restaurant attached. Staff is great. Rooms have that beach vibe and very comfy bed. Great place to have a cocktail by the outdoor fire pit with an ocean view.

Parker K.

Yelp
This place has really good room service has a restaurant nearby that is pretty good. Food has a pool a hot tub. They have a fitness area and private beach access, and live music every once in a while.

Yelp
Pismo is one of our favorite vacation spots. We decided to plan a quick trip at the cliffs hotel and spa based on friends' recommendation. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a let down. The first day we checked in, we had kids from next door running back and forth, slamming doors and knocking on our door as some sort of game, without any supervision. That was not a good start of the vacation. But we did not want to let that affect our own experience. The view from the hotel property was amazing. I was unable to book an ocean view room but wished I had. There is a path you can walk along the ocean and across other neighboring hotels. So the location was nice. Our nightly rate was higher than usual so that raised my expectation. Our bathroom was so small, the door barely cleared the toilet to close. You could not have more than one person in the bathroom at once. I was surprised at the condition of the bathroom with rust around the hardware, mold around the shower tiles; given the higher nightly rate we paid for. Our toilet also flooded the second day we were there. It was stressful. The room itself had a constant water running sound, as if we were next to a washing factory. Our family could not sleep well with the rushing water sound and some pounding what sounded like buckets banging against our walls. Lastly, we had some restaurant charges billed to our room that was not ours. When I brought it up to the front desk, there were some questions asked, if I was sure this was not our charge. Yes, I am sure I did not order the two drinks from the pool side. Although they agreed to remove the invalid room charges, I felt slightly offended that they questioned me. Perhaps next time compare the signature and do some research before questioning the guests.

Yelp
Cleanliness and Room prep need a major overhaul. We stayed in the beach view suite and were exited, but,,, upon arrival we were greeted with a stench inside the room. Also it appeared the sheets were never changed from the previous guest, as there was a bunch of hair on the sheets. The drawer was not parallel to the walls, and the room felt gross. We asked for a refund but it was denied. I'm not one to take the time to leave a review but I wanted to make sure people are aware. Front desk staff were kind and helpful. The rooms need to be cared for and serviced much better. In all fairness they did change our sheets when we requested. And they did allow early check in.

Sierra S.

Yelp
This hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed at! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Complimentary champagne in the lobby. Rooms are clean with a great view. It was giving luxurious forsure, the only complaint is that the bathrooms in the rooms are very small and it's hard to close the door with the toilet in the way. The parking isn't free unless you want to walk quite a ways to a distant parking area. Everything else was great though.

Sheri T.

Yelp
On our way to L.A to visit family, we decided to stop in San Luis Obispo Pismo Beach and stay at The Cliffs, check in was a breeze, lots of parking available and the staff, friendly and accomodating, also asked for late check out! Highly recommend you stay here if in the area and looking for a resort to stay at

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 90s. I've only been able to stay the night a couple times and every time it has been amazing. We got married here on a shoestring budget in July 2012 and it was and still is the best day and vacation of my life. We've either been unable to afford to come back since, or have been prevented from doing so by various circumstances until today and it's been more perfect than I ever could have imagined. The rooms, hotel, and restaurant are clean, comfortable, modern, and well-appointed. The food was just as good as it has always been, and service at the Marisol restaurant was even better. Every staff member has bent over backwards for us, and been so kind and friendly, especially Phylecia at the front desk. Phylecia could have said "Yeah you got married here, cool story, do you want to spend $150 for our anniversary package?" Instead, she treated us to some amazing bonuses and little gifts that have made this stay as memorable as our previous stay for our wedding. Even the pool was perfect -- the California coast is associated with warm, sunny beaches but I've you go north past Santa Barbara, it's usually anything but. And yet somehow the Cliff's pool was warm enough at 8 AM (staff cleaned it at 7:00 AM) that even I, who is always cold and can't bear water at a lower temperature than 90° F, could go swimming for well over an hour. It doesn't get any better than that. If I had one criticism, it's that the pretty water fountains are too loud. Normally the sound of flowing water is relaxing but this is one of the few places it's a nuisance. When it's turned off, you can hear the ocean over the sounds of everything else, even the 101. Other than that, I hope the Cliffs never changes. It doesn't need an overhaul or a mass remodel or restructuring. And I hope its staff is happy and well-compensated. Cheers.

Bety P.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay, I got two free complimentary drinks for my bday bday stay and was greatly surprised and appreciative. Room was spacious and clean and had a wonderful sleep, wish I had a beach cliff view upgrade was too much but worth the ask

Brian L.

Yelp
Cliffs used to be one of our favorite hotels in the Pismo area. It was affordable, good service, and enough entertainment for the young kids. During most stays, we had the luxury of having a ocean view room. This last minute trip, we had to book a standard Mountain View room. Our room was on the west side 3rd floor. This is the first time I've stayed in this side of the hotel. Unfortunately there is a horrible humming coming from an external pipe/service that goes on and off throughout the whole day. It kept us from sleeping the first two nights of our trip. Keep in mind I've stayed in plenty of noisy hotels before...but this takes it to a whole new level. While Louie (night manager) has been fantastic and tried to offer an alternative, it was on the same side, lower floor, same issue. And I'd feel horrible for anyone who's staying to deal with this. Why this isn't a bigger issue, I don't know. To Cliff hotel owners: you should be embarrassed to charge the rate for something that brings your hotel to a 1 star offering. I give the hotel stay -10 stars. I give the staff 11 stars for trying to go above and beyond...it is not their fault. I'm not sure I'll be coming back.

Victor T.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the hotel. ROOM: The definition of clean. I never had to call and ask the housekeeping staff to change my bedsheets. They were soft, fluffy, and smelled great. All of the furnishings were in pristine condition. Also, the soaps and lotions given by the hotel were amazing. I would like to buy them. GROUNDS: Serene, I'm a Los Angeleno- born & bred. But coming to Pismo Beach & SLO County was by far the most peaceful beach scene I've seen. No trash, soothing ocean sounds, and great weather, even the fog doesn't last too long! Their gym/exercise room had all of the essentials, and I need that because I'm a fitness fanatic. Although I came for a business conference and stayed 3 nights, I'll definitely be returning for a relaxing stay and a spa visit!

Katherine C.

Yelp
The two stars are for the hotel itself, not the staff or service. For what we paid, I expected to at least have a room with a working shower--ours couldn't decide if it should dispense from the shower head or the spout. We stayed in room 320. The shutters were broken and we were on the side of the hotel that has this loud humming sound from a pipeline 24/7. It's not ideal for a restful stay. I do love the bedding and pillows, but I just feel like overall, there are definitely some improvements that need to be made. A mini fridge would be nice, rather than a "cooler". There is also a giant hutch that houses the coffee machine, safe, and some additional storage... really unnecessary and outdated. The bathroom mirrors are old and have black specks all over them as well as the tile has rust stains. It's just not what I would expect for a $200-300/night price range.

Jeanette A.

Yelp
This review is for the Spa portion of the resort. I had a fantastic massage here and an amazing mani/pedi done by Stephanie. I love the service I received here and had such a pleasant time. The spa has a great selection of refreshments (teas/coffee) and light snacks for clients. The ambiance is extremely peaceful and relaxing. I loved the copper bowls for the foot soak. Locker rooms are kept clean and smell good and robes/lockers are provided for massages. There is also a sauna and complimentary chilled towels.

Kristin ..

Yelp
Upon arrival, we asked for the "quietest room" available. We were not able to sleep due to what they said was the elevator noise ( I am honestly not sure what the noise actually was). We moved to a different room at the wee hours of the morning. At 7:30 the next morning they called us in the new room and asked "who is this? We have this room marked as vacant" WTF, were they serious!! Once we got up, went to go use the bathroom sink and it was completely plugged up. They sent a guy who spent the next hour in our room fixing it. The second night was like a "party hotel" with wall banging and suer loud TV at 4am....ugh! I would not expect this from a $300+ per night hotel....huge bummer, won't ever stay again nor recommend to anyone. SAVE your money and stay at any other hotel in SLO.

Linda T.

Yelp
Our server was fast and great. We came for a Taylor Swift event and had dinner before the party and after. Considering the crowd, our server Ian was quick and very sweet. He made great recommendations for my picky child. Random that he was from England and we are going there, he offered so much advice on things to do and pointers. He was so friendly and we had the pleasure of having him be our server twice in the same day. We love coming back again for dessert. The crème brûlée was good but please please bring back the s'more dessert. I will more often if that dessert came back!

Margery N.

Yelp
Great location right on the coast, friendly staff, very clean room, view from our balcony was a Wowzer! Huge swimming pool and very family friendly. The path in front of the hotel goes for miles, sometimes right next to the cliff and sometimes taking a jog into a neighboring street to come once again to a cliff path. We will be back! It gets a 4 star review only because we stubbed our big toes several times on the metal legs holding the bed up. Who designed legs that stick out like that? Either pad those legs or warn your guests!

Pamela O.

Yelp
Found on Hotel Tonight. Sunday and Monday nights were $150 plus $20 parking and $45 resort fee. Needed 2 queens and we were given the 4th floor partial ocean view. The beds, sheets and pillows were divine. Loved the decor throughout and the scent misted in the hotel. Lovely location away from tourists and noise. Got to watch lightning and hear the thunder on Monday night! Went to happy hour next door at the Dolphin resort. 2-5 good food and libations. Overall an excellent experience! Thank you so much!

Fred M.

Yelp
Spectacular! From the staff to the property everything was 5 stars. Clean room , friendly and helpful valet and staff. Dinner was excellent as well. Definitely would stay again. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations.

Lynette E.

Yelp
I just returned from a lovely stay at The Cliffs Hotel and Spa. From the moment we arrived, everything was 5 star! The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, nicely sized, and had a fantastic view of the pool and ocean. We also at the Marisol restaurant for dinner one night. The food was exceptional. I want to give a special thank you to the Guest Services Manager, Kimberly Pelmont. She was fabulous! She attended to all of our needs with a smile on her face, style, and grace. Thank you again, Kimberly for making our stay extra special. I can't wait to come back!!!

Rebecca J.

Yelp
The spa is amazing I had a pedi with Stephanie and she was awesome. She's just the right combination of friendly and get to business. She spent time and definitely gave the best pedi I've ever had. One thing I should mention is that we went here for pedis as a business building activity and chose the cliffs because they advertise non-toxic polish but that's not true. They either need to actually have non-toxic or take off that as it is false advertising. When you have any spa service you can enjoy the property all day. You get a glass of champagne too!

Lilly C.

Yelp
Great rooms. Exquisite views. Friendly staff and guests. The only downside is the lobby coffee runs out daily by 7:45 AM. lol

Jes M.

Yelp
This hotel looked like great views from the photos. It was the perfect location. Short drive from both downtown and SLO. We left our doggie behind because they didn't have any ocean view pet friendly rooms. That backfired because the partial ocean view is a huge let down. I parked across the street since it's free to avoid paying the daily valet fee. It's a short walking distance so not too bad. They have excellent local craft beers and tried every single one of them. I tried to to change my room to a pool view. However, it was $80 extra a night to do that. I wish I would have not paid for the partial view. It's not worth it. Other than that the resort is nice and very clean.

Manoj B.

Yelp
I had booked the King Cliffs Coastal Room and was given a room on the 5th floor of the newly renovated Serena Collection. The room was clean and had breathtaking views - a real treat for the eyes! However, there were a couple of downsides to our stay. The fireplace in our room wasn't working properly - it kept turning off automatically and making a loud noise each time it turned on or off. So we had to switch it off most of the time. Also the room service wasn't the best. We had to call them twice for every request before they finally delivered what we asked for. Apart from these minor issues, our stay at Cliffs was fantastic. The views were amazing, the room was clean, and the overall experience was great. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay with gorgeous views! I also want to mention that we had the opportunity to visit the hotel's restaurant. I must say that the mocha was simply to die for! It was the perfect blend of coffee and chocolate and will definitely be back to ordering more of these in future

T K.

Yelp
I stayed here in May and really loved the hotel. I loved that the rooms had balconies and you could have that sliders open and enjoy the ocean from your room.

Lydia S.

Yelp
The hotel itself wasn't ugly or bad I'd give it at least 4.5/5 it was pretty so I'll show my pictures I like how they have soap and shampoos for you and they smells amazing !! I brought my own soap thinking they would only have the tiny bar soaps but they have nice ones!they also have a walk way done the beach it's a private area leaving your hotel so it's a private beach which I love so the hotels itself is very clean!! my 3 stars are more towards things that went on while my stay. So for starters when booking your stay it gives you I believe 2/3 options on what you prefer for example not being near the elevator, checking in early or being away from the bottom floor. I chose to check in early when I received my email it said my check in would be at 4pm. Like most hotels they have you checking in at 4pm. I had email them asking them if it was okay for me and my bf to arrive earlier than that the person told me check out is at 12pm and if I like to call early to see if they have everything ready it would be fine. So I get a text the day of our first day which I believe is the front desk worker it had said if I have any questions or need help with anything to text them with that number. Well I asked when will the room be ready they said it wasn't quite ready and they will text me which I did other things around the area, but I was uneasy leaving our luggage in the car. It was 1:40pm and still nothing I message them again was at 2:10pm and they didn't reply I message again and nothing then 10 minutes later it was an automated message saying to rate them how my stay is going so I'm thinking is my room ready ? I walk in and my rooms been ready since 1ish.... I was disappointed and they never even messaged me after as well.. Anyways there's no fridge or microwave in the rooms you have to go to the first floor where they have everything there. Another thing I was upset .. the day of our anniversary we paid extra for a box of chocolates to arrive to the room with flowers and champagne .. well we just got champagne and 3 little desserts and flowers.. that package was a bit pricey for such little things... another thing we went to front desk asked what time they will do everything for us in the room so we know not to be in there they wanted us to give the time so we said we won't be in the room anymore from 12-4pm! We got back to the hotel at 5ish and when we are arriving they are barely arriving with our stuff that was annoying because we gave a huge amount of time ..

Manny H.

Yelp
We had a great two-night stay at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa. Absolutely loved the hotel. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. We relaxed by the pool, then enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Marisol. You've got to be there for the "Sunset ringing of the bell". Lots of fun! A special shout out to Kimberly Pelmont for making it a trip to remember!

Paula P.

Yelp
This is the last time I'm staying here, it's nice because we can take the dogs & the beach is right there. But it's really cold so we tried turning the heater on and it did not work. Husband asked the front desk & they said the heaters aren't working right now. Lmao .. ok! It's super noisy. And the rooms look cool in the pictures. But honestly, they are so awkward! No door covering the shower, it's open to the whole room? I don't get why they remolded like this. Service has gone down hill. The only professionals here are the valets!!!

Michele S.

Yelp
Love this hotel ...we have been staying here for years ...clean , friendly..welcoming...went here for our anniversary and they absolutely made us feel special..

Walkyhr M.

Yelp
We had a terrific long weekend on the coast. The hotel is beautifully located along the cliffs. We experienced kind staff and enjoyed the hotel amenities from the spa, highly recommend a facial, to the hotel restaurant - the avocado toast is outstanding! We visited in April so it was a bit windy, but still enjoyed the sun and time by the pool. I highly recommend for a romantic weekend getaway. I would like this hotel to improve the heaters in the rooms, as our room remained at 65 degrees throughout our duration, and upgrade their well tequila for margaritas, as we were served José Cuervo- which does not reflect the quality of the establishment.

Kat D.

Yelp
We went on a mini vacation to The Cliffs Hotel and Spa for an anniversary fast getaway. We arrived Sept 7. This was recommended to us from friends and we were not disappointed. Our room was nice, the bed was very comfortable. There are areas of the room that could use a little TLC but it's not a new hotel, although it was nothing that was bad. The staff is very nice and wonderfully accommodating. I loved our view over looking the pool and ocean. The pool is heated and the hot tub nice and hot like I like it. While at the pool we were able to order drinks and food to be brought to us so we didn't have to leave our relaxing day at the pool. We went to Avila Beach and rented e-bikes from Bolt Bikes. Now that was fun. They gave us directions to a trail to ride and see other areas that we would not have seen if we hadn't rented the bikes. I really enjoyed that. The hotel has a Spa but we did not utilize the spa since we were only there for a couple days. We would like to go back and when we do we will try the spa then. I have to say I loved all the lotions, shampoo and body soaps that were in our room. I loved the lotion so much that I found it on line and purchased some, it's good stuff. There is a restaurant right next door to the hotel called Marisol's and we ate there most of the time. Good food, nice bar, great out door dinning with a fabulous view and great staff! The hotel is very clean, their staff was great. The only problem we had was one night the air conditioning was making a weird noise which my husband told them about and they compensated us for that. They were very apologetic for the noise. Over all we were wonderfully happy and we want to go back. There are two photos I have posted. I didn't take any of the room its self. I need to do better at taking more photos.

Debra L.

Yelp
Amazing service. Oysters on the half shell so yummy. The view was spectacular. Drinks on point.

Yelp
This is a review to call out two staff who made our stay extra special this past week. This is not a comment on the resort, the location, its facilities, or condition. There are plenty of others reviewing these topics. We spent most of our time at the pool and SAMANTHA did an awesome job hustling, smiling, while bringing our food and repeated drinks... despite what appeared to be zero support. Admittedly, the resort could have invested or redeployed some additional payroll to make the pool side service extra special, especially when there were always 3 or 4 people behind the front desk checking their phones or in the office behind the desk... one of them for sure should have helped supporting the packed poolside. Nevertheless, SAMANTHA was on top of it and deserves some recognition. Secondly, ESTHER who was working poolside in the evening did an equally wonderful job. We first ran into her in the hall and my wife and I had a pile of wet towels from our daughters. ESTHER had the dirty towel cart and asked us if she could take them off our hands. We appreciated her observation. Then poolside in the evening she went around to everyone making sure everyone had towels. At 7p the hot tub becomes an adult only situation. It's clearly posted and nothing new. We witnessed Esther notifying the guests and kids in the tub just after 7p, only to have a guest, completely unaware of her own narcissism, dismiss ESTHER with over talking and a bunch of hand waving. ESTHER was the perfect example of composure (I assume this wasn't her first rodeo). She acknowledged the guest's statements and nodded while smiling while making sure the guest understood the rule. Count yourself lucky if either of these two are working during your stay.

Yelp
This place could be so much better. The location is tops with a gorgeous view but the hotel itself is not up to par. We stayed on the 4th floor and were woken in the middle of the night by a high-pitched ringing that was constant for the 24 hours we stayed here. And despite talking with the front desk personnel, it didn't not stop. On top of this, the hot tub is closed for repainting.

Yelp
Had a lot of issues while staying here including many not working items in the room and a rude receptionist. Biggest problem was lack of handicap accessibility. The grounds/lobby/spa are beautiful but the rooms are pretty dated. The restaurant is mediocre and that's putting it nicely. The bell staff were amazing. Shoutout to Brian and Reece for their hospitality.

Yelp
Parking is crap, they changed all the parking to valet parking, no longer a locals spot, but the bartenders are still great!!!

Yelp
I I have been going to the clips resort for the last 25 years and I have to say today was the best experience I've ever had sitting by the pool as Aaron the attendant was absolutely amazing. He never stopped taking care of people, making sure everything was wonderful!! Also the server was working with Aaron and made sure everybody was attended to and it was just absolutely amazing so proud of our local resort as of today.

Yelp
The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. We were there to celebrate a special anniversary and the manager left us a handwritten note and bottle of sparkling wine upon our arrival. The Spa is a wonderful addition to the property. I highly recommend Priscilla for a fabulous massage.

Yelp
Loved it! Gorgeous views of the ocean, beautiful rooms and decor. Loved the breakfast at the adjacent restaurant.

Yelp
The place has gone down hill. Very rude staff and they do not accommodate larger parties even with a reservation.

Yelp
Paid for more than $400 for one night, the hotel is really outdated, we have to ask bellman to open the room door cause we were not able to open it. Bathroom has strong mold smell... it's just not worth it, I won't come back. The staff are really nice and helpful, this is the only reason I give two star here.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Cliffs Hotel. Our room was spacious and well appointed, the lobby and common areas were so beautifully decorated, the pool was really relaxing. We ate several meals at their hotel and the food was delicious. On foggy mornings, we enjoyed coffee and breakfast in front of the fireplace. I had a terrific massage from Larry at the beautiful new spa. Overall it was a fabulous property with sweeping views of the ocean.

Yelp
The Most Honest Review - Family Vacation 3 Nights I did some research prior coming in to make our final decision, we wanted a fun place, by the ocean a big pool and lawn for kids to play and run around. That is exactly what we got + amazing receptionists! I had the pleasure to be helped by a gentleman named Joey and a sweet lady Name Melia I believe. She was above and beyond helped us with issues i didnt even know front desk can help with We had the pleasure experiencing Movie on the Lawn & Free Beer Floats for Kids by the heated pool! Now the reason this was a 4 star & if it wasnt for the amazing STAFF this place would be rated 2 or 3 star in my opinion. The prices for a room are okay however for a family of 4 rooms are pretty small, we got an upgrade for King OceanFront (amazing views) we made it work but still pretty small for pricing! The HUGR CON.... during the whole stay, the pools were never cleaned the jacuzzi was never clean the jacuzzi bubbles didnt work over a week (a guest at hotel that stayed prior to us mentioned it plus our stay 4 days) - the Ocean is about 30 steps down and the ocean is so filthy- and stinks! Yes plenty of sand but if you want to swim in the ocean of the hotel i wouldn't recommend it! My kids were in the pool & jacuzzi 80% of the time and it kept getting dirtier as it went . I wouldn't recommend the Marisol Restaurant Even tho the staff there were very welcoming the food is not that great. Hopefully we can come back here during Fall!

Yelp
We had a great stay here for many reasons. First, Ericka at the desk was very kind when my husband arrived to see if they had a room available. She answered all of his questions and was able to help him find a room that fit our needs perfectly. He said she had great customer service. The room was amazing. It had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was clean and comfortable. There is also a beach path on the property leading to a small beach which we were able to visit. We had a problem with our TV not turning off during the stay. Two maintenance men came to help us. The first tried without success, and had Rich come to help us. After a bit, he was able to get the TV reset, and it was back in working order. Both maintenance men were kind, professional, and were there to help us immediately. Overall, the stay was great! We would definitely visit again!

Yelp
Great location. Clean. Professional staff. The restaurant is located on the premises and the food is good. The only problem is the self parking. They have valet parking available
