I stayed here last year and can confidently say it is the loudest room you will find in Manila. It sounded like I was standing in the street. They offered me a sound blanket that made me laugh. I checked out two days early to find a more peaceful hotel down the street. They didn't offer a refund or apology. Girl no.

The room is very cozy! We loved the ambiance. Even our visitors loved the place. Location wise, you can never go wrong with and in Poblacion. I grew up in the place so I am very much familiar where to go. 1. The aircon is so strong that we had to increase the temp for more comfort! We loved it! 2. The location is near food establishments and convenience stores. 3. Very accommodating to our requests - we had to move the mini ref and microwave so we could utilize the table when dining in. 4. The bed is spacious and very comfortable. Over-all, we are very satisfied with the service and the place! Will we go back? Yes, definitely! 😊

Small hotel but with very good and willing to help staff. Rooms are clean, internet good and even have a safe in the room . Air-conditioning is very cold so make sure you cover your blanket. The lady makes very good omelette for breakfast. Remember to get y daily 1 bottle of water from the reception and remind them to clean your room. Only problem is there is no lift so if you have a weak knee be sure to ask them for the lower floor rooms. Don't book breakfast as there is limited choice. The location is fantastic so close to almost 24hours food and entertainment

I am very happy to have found this place! Aside from the clean space, value for money, easy to find location (via google GPS), walking distance to foodstores & accurate listing on airbnb, they have also very friendly and accomodating staff! I feel really cared for during my stay. They would make sure that you feel comfortable. If I were to come back, I will surely book this place again. Will recommend! 🤗

Stayed at the property last Nov. 9 to 12, 2021. Location is good as it is within Makati CBD. Red lane part of the area can be avoided by traversing a different street. The staff are responsive, courteous, and accommodating to concerns. Convenient stores are close by as well as different dining establishments. Security monitoring is good as well. The place seemed sanitized with available alcohol/disinfectant along the halls. The room is spacious with available furnishing/appliances. Wifi speed is ok. Hot water for shower is available. Outside noise is reduced from the inside. A bit of a personal nitpicking: 1. TV cable/black box setup is a bit erratic. Didn't watch on it anyways. 2. Lacking white light. Lights inside the room are yellow. Window is big though and can accommodate the daylight. 3. No bidet. Hehe Edit: 11/06/22 Review changed from 4 to 5 ⭐. The host entertains guest recommendations. 👍👍👌

Yelp
We had an unexpected overnight layover in Manila when we missed a connecting flight home. We were lucky to find a very good deal on a simple room at the Clipper Hotel last minute -- a clean, nice looking place with a location walkable for finding places to eat, walk, look around, and people watch. We especially liked the surprise of the Art Deco details, the potted palms, the design homage to luxury intercontinental air travel & Pan Am's heyday. The staff was professional, conscientious, kind, and even outfitted in crisp naval inspired uniforms worthy of Pan Am's prime. I'm surprised people don't make a bigger deal about this place. Coffee & breakfast the next morning at Commune around the corner was a nice cap to our time there.

Yelp
The Clipper Hotel is located conveniently around the P Burgos Area. That doesn't mean that you get a lot of noise or you feel unsafe in the area though. It just means that you are nearby rockwell, makati, nightlife and century city mall and it's always easy to flag down a cab here. I'm so happy that the owner decided to save this beautiful art nouveau building and turned it into something meaningful. Rooms start from 2600 php, which is pretty cheap because you get a very decent clean room with a nice hot shower, breakfast and free happy hour in the bar downstairs. If you tell them you like airplanes, they have a suite with jet fighter parts in it, since the owner loves planes. Awesome building, location and experience.

Yelp
i occupied room #205 for 3 weeks in august of 2016. the clipper's ace in the hole is its location. you're steps away from the nightlife of burgos street and walking distance to 4 major malls in the area. century city mall is a 5 minute walk, the power plant a 10 minute walk and greenbelt and glorietta are 20 minutes away. it's a good way to get some exercise in during your vacation. or catch a cab to the mall or to anywhere in manila; they're plentiful on burgos street. my room was on the second floor and was in a nice quiet corner. i couldn't couldn't hear anyone having sex unlike when i stayed at the citadel inn on burgos several years back. the a/c worked well and i liked that the room had a safe. house keeping kept my room tidy and the front desk and door man were always attentive. my one complaint is the wifi signal did not work well in my room. i'd definitely stay here again. dueces!
