I rarely use this app. ||3 nights in Court room.||Pretty much the idyllic Cotswold country hotel. ||Our room was spotless with a super comfy bed. ||Staff are so nice and really enjoyed our breakfast and a dinner at the hotel. The food is so nice. ||Lovely gardens to relax in and lots on your doorstep to see, do, drink and eat. ||The Cotswolds are a vision of the UK 30 years ago when public amenities and services were looked after. ||So nice.

What a marvelous hotel/B&B to stay at. we stayed here only for one night ( wish we stayed more ). from the staff, to food to the setting, everything was very wonderful. It is situated right at the center of small town of Tetbury. Perfect Beautiful garden is where you enter from. One thing is when you put on GPS the hotel location it takes you to the "front" of the hotel, however parking etc is around the corner, where the main reception is "back" of the hotel. |the breakfirst is amazing, and we also had fantastic afternoon tea. all very lovely and highly recommend staying here if you are driving through the cotswold.

Loved this hotel, beautifully decorated in keeping with a period property. We stayed in the Dove room which was a great size and overlooked the garden. Nice areas to sit in and great location. Staff were very friendly & efficient. Food was very good

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. We got h to r prices fixe lunch and every course was delicious. The white onion soup and the stone bass were particularly noteworthy although we’d order everything again. The restaurant areas are well designed into cozy distinctive areas. Service was wonderful.

Lovely, small hotel. Is in heart of the town but is quiet, with a lovely back garden. The restaurant food is also excellent. Staff very helpful with everything you need. One (7kw) ev charger in car park, but two faster ones a short walk away at a pub. A lovely night away and catered well to a baby (monitor reached from back third floor room to restaurant)

We were in Tetbury browsing the Antique shops and stopped at The Close Hotel for lunch. My wife ordered the burger and I had the Sunday roast beef.|The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The hotel is taste fully decorated and it has a beautiful enclosed garden.|I would recommend The Close Hotel as a place to stay and enjoy great food.

I rang the hotel direct to enquire about room locations as I wanted a quiet room. I was initially offered a cosy double which apparently overlooked the car park, so I chose to pay more to stay in a superior double, which according to the lady I spoke to, overlooked the garden and was on the first floor. We checked in at 4.05pm to find that Nigel (duty manager?) had tried to take the money for our room direct from Barclaycard, without notifying us first. Barclaycard had automatically stopped the payment. This is unethical, especially given the e-mail we were sent just prior to check in said you can pay on arrival. We were shown to our room which was under the eaves, and up flights of stone steps. Apparently we were in the turret room which the lady I spoke to had failed to mention. It was hot and so we were provided with a fan and our suitcase was carried to the room. The view of the garden was through a small tiny window just inches off the floor. The other window you had to have the blind down as a room directly opposite could see into our room.||When I complained next day to the receptionist I was stonewalled and told the Manager would get back to me. I have not heard anything just an automatic e-mail asking for my feedback. The room was not as described to me personally; was totally overpriced at £260 as it was cramped and overlooked from both windows; and the taking of the money from my account was unacceptable without prior warning. So all in all I am not a happy bunny with either the hotel or my experience in how my complaint was dealt with.

Lovely food and gardens. Breakfast was nice also. I booked the last room available - a cosy double - and it was tiny and unbearably hot. We were provided with a fan after asking but it was quite ineffective and we had a terrible night's sleep.
