The Coach House Brecon

We had a fantastic stay at The Coach House. Kayt and Hugh were incredibly welcoming and informative from the moment we arrived, making us feel completely at home. The rooms were pristine clean and beautifully presented, with a really tasteful, calming aesthetic that made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely fantastic, clearly prepared with care and quality ingredients. The location is stunning too, perfectly situated around 30 minutes from breathtaking waterfalls and mountain hikes. We would highly recommend staying here and would happily return.

Have just returned from a 2 day stay in this lovely hotel. Room was lovely and clean, with everything you needed, bathrobes, toiletries, hairdryer. Also provided fresh milk and chocolate bars. This was a treat, especially for my husband who has a sweet tooth. But the breakfast was outstanding, a hugh choice and cooked to perfection. Kate and Hugh certainly know how to treat their guests. I would certainly recommend this hotel, and would definitely return.

Spent a lovely couple of nights at the Coach House where the owners really have taken B&B to a new level. Starts with the email giving the option to select your choice of refreshments and snacks in the room (including cafetière coffee!) Our room even had freshly baked slices of banana bread to welcome us. Everything was spotless of course. A cozy honesty bar where you can enjoy a drink before going out is another nice touch. Brecon centre is just a five minute walk over the bridge. Breakfast is where they really excelled - the menu had a wide selection, and when our choices arrived the presentation was as if for a fine restaurant, and everything perfectly cooked and delicious. A lot of thought and care goes into looking after guests here and we really appreciated it. We will definitely be back!

We can not speak highly enough of The Coach House and hosts, Kayt and Hugh. Our room was extremely inviting and comfortable with space to relax after a day of sightseeing . There were thoughtful extras provided, including snacks and chocolates to accompany the tea and coffee. The bathroom was well equipped with a good shower and a heated towel rack. |Breakfast was prepared to order and was amazing. The yogurt, granola and fruit compote was a lovely way to start, followed by a choice of many delicious hot options. We certainly didn’t need lunch!|It’s very well situated being only a few minutes walk into the heart of Brecon with many choices for drinks and dinner. |Kayt was very happy to share her knowledge and passion of the area which helped us make the most of our stay.|Congratulations Kayt and Hugh, you’ve set the bar high!

We were travelling for an annual weekend with friends,new location every year. Came across the coach house on booking.com and thought it was perfect for our needs. And it certainly didn't disappoint. Kayt is a great host. Breakfast menu very extensive and whatever you decide you will be happy. Delicious. Lovely rooms , very comfortable and warm . Thank you. If we're in the area again we'll be back.

I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for my short trip to Brecon. The room was perfect and had more in-room amenities than I have found in most 5 star hotels. From the homemade banana bread, to the lavender pillow mist, the little touches really made it personable. The host Kayt was welcoming and lovely, and the breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve had. 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect! We loved our stay from start to finish and wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend. We stayed here for two nights while visiting the Brecon Beacons. It's in an ideal location for hikes and exploring plus only a short walk to restaurants, pubs, shops etc in Brecon town. Kayt is such a lovely host. Warm, friendly and kind - nothing was too much trouble. We felt very well looked after. 😊 The accommodation itself is wonderful. Beautifully decorated with a tasteful, homely feel. It smelt amazing too! Lots of nice touches in the room added to our enjoyment such as the complimentary hot drinks and snacks, sleep spray, robes and more. We stayed in the smallest room but it was more than sufficient for us. I note that another review mentions the road outside - late morning and daytime it could be heard, but it wasn't particularly loud. At night, it was very peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic - an excellent selection including local dishes and quality ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed Welsh rarebit for the first time - we ended up having it both mornings! 10/10. We have stayed at several B&Bs and this was by far the best! We hope we have the opportunity to visit again. Many thanks Kayt and Hugh for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Coach House for 3 nights as a wedding anniversary trip and we were really impressed.||It's small (6 rooms in total I believe) but very high quality. Our room was comfortable, spacious and smart. There was an impressive array of teas, coffees, snacks etc plus a well-stocked bathroom with both a decent bath and a good shower.||And the breakfast was just first rate. Interesting choices, beautifully cooked and presented and plenty of it as well.||We would definitely go again and, of its type, its one of the best places we have stayed in.

This place is fantastic; right in the heart of Brecon town, it' a B&B of the best standard. The breakfasts are incredible - all cooked fresh to order and using local produce, they taste goooooood. The hosts are wonderfully friendly and welcoming and will leave you along to get on with it or be on tap woth helpful hints and tips about the local area if you want insider input. The room are very nice - decorated in neutrals but with a modern twist - and there is ample aprking out the back. Really, if you are staying in Brecon, I can think of nowhere better. I just wish there were vacancies for this year's Brecon Jazz festival

What a lovely place! The Coach House is a calm, clean, tasteful place to stay. It's the antithesis of the dreaded musty old B&B - it's all landscaped garden, beige & taupe, and matching stripes. There are a few hitches - e.g. we had a Saniflow toilet in our room which made rude noises intermittently; and whoever has responsibility for putting up notices about the place is not a gifted speller - but frankly the warmth and genuine friendliness of the hosts more than made up for these small matters. What's more, I can't remember the last time I had such a fabulous cooked breakfast. Aah, the bacon! Ooh, the sausages! I would definitely return here. I wouldn't dream of bringing the kids though, as they would spoil the calm atmosphere and wouldn't appreciate the proper Welsh Breakfast like we did.
