The Coach House

We recently stayed at The Coach House for a wedding, checking in on a Sunday evening and staying until Tuesday morning. The entire booking process was seamless, especially when we wanted to add a second night - this was dealt with via email very easily and were so glad we added the additional night. The rooms are very cosy - we stayed in room 5 in the external building from the main house. The room was spacious, warm and had stylish fixtures. The bed was comfortable with luxurious bedding. The mini bar and complimentary items provided were great although we didn’t actually use any during our stay. The amenities in the room are very helpful, iron/hairdryer and high quality toiletries. The breakfast during our stay was wonderful - great choice and service in the cosy dining room. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would recommend to anyone attending a wedding in one of the nearby venues to book this B&B.

Absolutely fantastic. I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and mum, and had hair and makeup started there. Zoe was so hospitable and welcoming. We loved the honesty bar, especially the homemade brownies that were provided. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent - more of the brownies! We all loved the decor. I'd love to come back again for another visit!

Perfect stay and location for my overnight visit for a family gathering. I reserved a parking spot due to my poor mobility at the front of The Coach House. Check in was very smooth, very polite staff. Room lovely and clean. Nice big towels. USB plug socket. Requested an earlier breakfast as i needed to get up and off. Just what i needed.

We had a great weekend stay for a wedding at West Mills nearby. Very welcoming and friendly, really good breakfast and lovely rooms. ||We were arriving late, but check in was made very easy for us. The chocolate brownie is incredible!||Thank you!

We recently had our wedding at the Coach House and had a wonderful day with them. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us.The setting for our small relaxed wedding was perfect and all our guests had an equally fabulous experience. Staying overnight was a treat .This is a true boutique hotel (quirky? Possibly)) personal and attentive definitely. A lovely friend hosted her elopement wedding here and the staff ensured it was just perfect in every detail. The rooms are comfortable and elegant and the bar - with free delicious chocolate brownies - is the perfect place to relax. As a venue, every are is taken to make sure everything is perfect and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the whole venue comes highly recommended.

Very comfortable room, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast. (We had room no 1 at the back of the main house, overlooking the garden.) The rooms in the main house are reached by quite a long steep flight of stairs. For anyone with mobility difficulties, they do have ground floor rooms in the annexe.

Such a warm welcome. A lovely place to stay. Very comfortable beds allowing a wonderful nights sleep. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and personal service. I particularly liked Room 3 in the Main House. Would have no hesitation in recommending The Coach House to you.

We have stayed at the Coach House many times over the last few years and we love it! The owners Carol and Zoe are really friendly and immediately make you feel welcome. Indeed it is more like being at home than at a B & B! The full English breakfast is excellent. The house is well-positioned for both a stay in Derby and as a base for exploring the wonderful Derbyshire countryside. We would recommend it wholeheartedly. Paul & Gail.
