The Coach House

We had our family Christmas meal at The Coach House on 13th December and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was absolutely amazing with a fantastic range of options to suit everyone. The whole place felt like a home away from home — warm, welcoming, and relaxed. Zoe was outstanding from start to finish; nothing was ever too much trouble, both in the lead-up via email and on the day itself. The location is great and the décor is beautiful, making it a perfect setting for a special family occasion. We will definitely be booking again and highly recommend The Coach House.

We stayed for one night, we were attending a wedding at the West Mill, which is only about 7 minutes away in a taxi. Really enjoyed our stay, staff are very accommodating & friendly & attentive. It’s a lovely Guest House, beautifully decorated in period style. Our room was lovely & clean & cosy, had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious 😋 I would definitely recommend this Guest House. Thank you!

What a wonderful stay we had, it was only 1 night, but made a great impression on us. Zoe was wonderful, kind and thoughtful. The whole house is quirky and great fun - looking at all the furnishings and accessories around the place. We were lovely and warm and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing - couldn't have wished for anything better. It is in a lovely area. The garden was beautiful with plenty of seating. Will definitely come back here again if we are in the area.

Had a lovely stay at the Coach House, exceptional service and hospitality, we really were looked after well. Gorgeous bedroom, very comfy with everything we needed. Honesty bar is a great idea and loved the home made brownies too. Great breakfast and a good selection. We would definitely recommend and will be back again.

Had the most amazing stay at the Coach House last week. We stayed here the evening before my wedding and it was fabulous. Zoe was brilliant and really took care of us during our stay! The garden area was so beautiful to relax in with a drink. We even did some bouquet making on the table outside! The decor of every room was beautiful and the whole place had a lovely feel about it. Definitely want to come back in future! Thanks to everyone for our stay it was great!

Wonderful place to stay for our son’s wedding at the nearby River Mill. Zoe could not have been more accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable (eg fresh milk for the tea in our room). Breakfast was sensational - the nicest homemade granola I’ve ever eaten!

Absolutely brilliant day here for my brothers wedding on 11th December. The manager, absolute fabulous and a credit to the company. Food, service, cleanliness, outside area and bar lounge 5☆ all the way. Considering coming to stay here when visiting my brother.

I stayed at The Coach House for a week earlier this year, during a trip home to visit family and friends. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, and I had a fantastic stay. I stayed in one of the old stable rooms, which had a small private patio and a pond. The room was clean, comfortable, and especially lovely with the French doors open and the sunshine streaming in. The included breakfast was delicious and flexible, with options like lactose-free milk, eggs cooked to order, and a selection of cereals. There was also a nice range of fixed items on the menu to choose from. Tea, coffee, and juice rounded out the drinks. The Full English was a standout and set me up perfectly for the day. Next time I visit Derby, I will definitely stay at The Coach House again. Highly recommended.

We have stayed at the Coach House many times over the last few years and we love it! The owners Carol and Zoe are really friendly and immediately make you feel welcome. Indeed it is more like being at home than at a B & B! The full English breakfast is excellent. The house is well-positioned for both a stay in Derby and as a base for exploring the wonderful Derbyshire countryside. We would recommend it wholeheartedly. Paul & Gail.
