We stayed two nights at the Coast Lodge. The room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated, and we were even lucky enough to get a room with a view on to the ocean. Beds are super comfy, and the rooms are equipped with everything you need, including tea facilities and a bottle of water. |The owners and all staff are super friendly and welcoming.|Great breakfast, with a good variety of cereals, fresh fruit, pancakes, scones, and warm food. Excellent cappuccino and hot chocolate.|Great location to explore county Clare - it’s about 1h to Loop Head, 20 min to the beautiful surfer town and beach of Lahinch, 30 min to the Cliffs of Moher or the Burren. But there are also lots of smaller beaches to explore in the area.

We love this cafe for it's lovely takeaway food. Pizza is top notch - hence the awards - they even do gluten free. Glorious views from the front garden which is spacious with lots of picnic tables. Staff are friendly and attentive.

After a lovely walk around Spanish point we needed a good meal and The coast lodge didn’t disappoint. The service was efficient and friendly and the pepperoni pizza I had was the best I have ever tasted, light and full of flavour. It was not overpriced to eat in with a great view over the bay. You see a takeaway menu as you walk in which is of course cheaper but having the takeaway option means the staff don’t have to serve you, provide plates etc or wash up,so the a higher price for a pleasant experience such as we had seems fair to me.

I stopped by for lunch after a surf at Spanish Point. The staff were lovely – especially the girl who took our order – friendly and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations. As you walk in, the bright yellow pricing on the wall catches your eye, but what’s not obvious is the added charge for eating in – even if you're just sitting outside on a picnic bench. For example, fish and chips is advertised at €14.50 for takeaway, but it jumps to €21.50 to dine in. When I asked about the difference, I was told it's for "table service." Oddly, chicken tenders and chips only had a €2 surcharge for the same service, which makes the pricing feel inconsistent and a bit unfair. It seems fish and chips – possibly their bestseller – gets the steepest mark-up. We weren’t the only ones confused or disappointed, and it was disheartening to see that the owner showed no interest in addressing customers’ concerns. While I appreciate the kind staff, we won’t be recommending or returning. The hotel just up the road may be a little pricier, but it offers much better value for money and a more transparent dining experience.

We stayed for a wedding, room was nice and great location. The breakfast was shocking as there was a green oil all over the plate. Looked like everything was deep fried. The scrambled egg and salmon looked unpleasant. Toast barely toasted. No pastries out. Some the staff can’t even say good morning.

A Hidden Gem by the Sea – Simply Unforgettable! From the moment we stepped into this charming seaside pizzeria, we knew we were in for something really good. The atmosphere was cozy and made us feel instantly at home. But let’s talk about the real star: the pizza. Every bite was ask gorgeous! The dough was incredibly light, perfectly airy, and baked to golden perfection. The spinach and goat cheese pizza was a revelation—delicate yet flavourful, with the perfect balance of creaminess and freshness. Every ingredient tasted carefully chosen. To top it all off, the service was impeccable. The chef radiated passion and kindness, while the girl who looked after us was an absolute delight—attentive, professional, and always wearing the kind of smile that makes an evening even more special. If you’re looking for a place that serves exceptional pizza in a breathtaking setting, with hospitality that makes you feel like family, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here for two nights and had a room with seaview. View is great and the room is nice (could use some work, especially the bathroom), its clean and the bed is good. From here you can make your trip to the Cliffs of Moher. The restaurant, which is below the room, can be crowdy, and you smell the backing in the room and the hallway. The breakfast was good and has a variaty of choices. Tips: a cooling unit in the room and a locker.
