The Coast Lodge, Restaurant and Bed & Breakfast

We have passed The Coast Lodge numerous times so we finally decided to give their pizzas a try. The views from the restaurant looking out to the sea was stunning.||The pizzas were great. We all definitely enjoyed them and they were cooked perfectly. ||I'd imagine the atmosphere in this restaurant at peak season would be fantastic.

I stayed in room 3 with my family. We had more than enough space and the room was clean. Staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and nothing was a bother. I'm very happy we stayed in the Coast Lodge. The price was very reasonable and an overall great experience. I will 100% be coming back next time I'm down in Spanish Point.

We had another beautiful stay at the Coast Lodge Hotel. We keep coming back for the amazing views of the ocean & the great food. The staff are so friendly, kind & accommodating. But most of all for its charm, it is the epitome of “peace of the beach”, which you don’t always get at larger hotels. The Coast Lodge is great value for money, can’t wait until or next stay.

We stayed with our 2 children in an apartment. It was very spacious, very comfortable beds. Bedroom is very big with 2 doubles and a single. It would be good to have a room divider for privacy and maybe some privacy film on the glass door which leads to living room. |Shower is excellent.|| Cooked Breakfast was good too. Breakfast is served after 8.30 so anyone with kids who are early risers would need to be prepared. |Only complaint was quality of tea. It really really needs to be a better brand! Coffee is good though. ||We got takeaway breakfast one of the mornings as we were leaving early and it was very good with sandwich, scones, juice and fruit. |Staff (young girl with dark hair) is so personable and friendly,others were friendly too. ||Location is brilliant. It's such a beautiful area, Right across from the beach. Beach is popular for swimming. Large Groups of local people, snamhai sasta go out together at weekend mornings. ||Excellent location for visiting other areas of Clare. Lahinch, Doolin, Cliffs etc. We went to aran islands from Doolin while staying here.

Lovely place for food and great staff. However, unfortunately cannot rate this restaurant anything higher than three stars due to the very rude server “Paurwyn” (muttered his name when asked so not sure what he said exactly). ||This server was a joke, like he was being dramatically rude to customers and his own coworkers for fun. When asking for a chai latte (I don’t drink regular coffee and most coffee shops do this drink) I was told that he knew more about coffee than me and that a chai latte was not a real drink and what I was asking for did not exist. He then proceeded to make the person I was with the worst latte I have ever seen. As a barista myself, the milk was done horribly - no foam whatsoever just pure air bubbles on top . I then asked for his name which he responded to me with a smirk on his face while muttering his name and after doing so I left and he shouted “OH! OH!” in an amused way like he knew that I was dissatisfied with his service. ||The food is amazing and the rest of the staff there are so helpful and competent. My rating does not reflect on the quality of this restaurants food and service apart from this waiter.This makes me sad that this one waiter has changed my whole experience of this great restaurant.

We enjoyed breakfast with friends who were also staying here. Lovely location, lovely establishment, great friendly staff and meal was very good!

This was our second visit to this hotel. We were a group of 4 adults in building #1. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. Shower had great water pressure and was a good size. Breakfast was delicious! Service was helpful and very friendly. We will be back.

This place is a hidden gem. My partner and I had just gotten engaged the afternoon prior and arrived here in a last minute decision to stay near the water. We were met with warm smiles and an ocean view room. Cara and Charlotte (spelling?) were so very kind and welcoming. They brought us grapes and champagne to celebrate our big moment and sat us in the most beautiful ocean view table for dinner…. Then proceeded to reserve the very same table for our breakfast. I was teary eyed to think someone cared that much about our happiness in such a big moment in our journey. Bed was super cozy, they had everything you could need and more in the room and the decor was very homey. What an absolutely wonderful stay. Well done. We will be back.
