The Coffee Guy

Some roasters shy away from dark roasts that bring the oils to the surface of the bean, but not here. They do it right, dark, oily but not over roasted. For those that desire a richer cup, opt for 5th Ward or Sumatra where a full extract comes through. For those that like a milder cup, they also roast light & medium too Steve runs a great operation with a wonderful staff. Nice to have such a wonderful business in RI's South County.

We were visiting in town for a wedding and wanted a local coffee shop. This place had such great reviews that we chose it over the 4.4 star rated place the hotel clerk recommended. We were thrilled! Latte's, Mocha's and pastries were fantastic! Friendly staff with a small town feel. Highly recommend!

The BEST Americano I have ever had. I am looking forward to going back tomorrow morning for another one. I enjoy my coffee black, no flavor & no milk. The Coffee Guy was also very fun and friendly! He definitely loves what he does and is serious about making great coffee. While I was waiting for my drink I got to hear him teaching someone how to pour a shot. He described the process and cheered when they did it well.

Great coffee and a fantastic, warm atmosphere. Excellent espresso and drip coffee with different roast options. Even though I am not a regular or a local, I felt welcomed. The customers were also friendly. It's a coffee shop where everyone seems happy to be there loving coffee. The little details make The Coffee Guy standout--good music matched to the sunny summer day, being asked how light or dark I want my coffee, been spoken to by name, and comfortable seating. I love that they have an "Art-o-Mat" machine of mini artworks by local artists. It was busy and yet service was quick. I think it would appeal to both people who want a "cup of Joe" and those who want a more sophisticated beverage.

Great coffee, nice pastry to go with it, plus friendly service. Love this place. I was sad when I had no local place to go when the Cool Bean Coffee closed, and Fuel coffee being so terrible. The Coffee Guy gave me an excellent choice for coffee. Enjoy it!

This is my new favorite coffee place. The owner has been roasting his own for decades! Donuts are fresh daily. So deck…😎

I was really impressed by how generous and kind the staff were. The iced coffee was absolutely delicious. Rich in flavor and wonderfully aromatic. To our surprise, they gave us two extra pastries on the house, and when we mentioned we were a big family, they added yet another one with a smile. It’s rare to find a place that not only serves great coffee but also makes you feel genuinely welcomed. We’ll definitely be coming back
