I'm staying near the National Archives and Kew Gardens, and this was one of the closest spots to get some craft coffee. This place doesn't disappoint! The coffee is fantastic -- I got a HUGE 4-shot flat white that was amazing, along with a lunch sandwich (bacon, brie, and onion on ciabatta bread, grilled up) all for £7. The food was phenomenal; well beyond my expectations. I followed it all up with a large cup of tea, which was also good.
The owners and staff are incredibly nice. With the ambiance of this place and the quality of the coffee, you could easily transport this to San Francisco and it would be staffed by rude coffee hipsters who would scold you for putting sugar in your coffee. This place has all of the qualities of a great boutique coffee shop in the States without the pretensions. As you walk into Coffee Traveller, it looks deceivingly small, but there are plenty of seats in the back. After finishing up my lunch, I got quite a bit of work done here in one of the small back rooms. There seems to be password protected WiFi for this place, but I didn't ask about the code. I'll be sure to ask about it tomorrow when I return!
