The Colony Hotel Arkin

We stayed at the hotel with a family and a baby. 1. No facilities for babies at all. The closest playground is in the harbor but it takes efforts to get there trough crazy traffic. When you step out of the hotel, there is a busy main street with bus station just next to hotel building. 2. The food was most of the times great. 3. The staff is so attentive and helpful. 4. Non-smoking rooms smell cigarettes because of casino. 5. Casino - worst ever seen. Always super crowded. Slots with small bets are never free. No oxygen at all, you can hardly see because of cigarettes fog. Food and drink service in casino is bad. The second floor was better, bets from 50tl. However there are not too many slots and again the service was ok. If you want to enjoy gambling and have fun, this is not the right place.

I recently had the most delightful stay and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment when we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an exceptional experience once again.|| The room was very clean, spacious, and, with a large supportive bed.||The cleaning staff were very much on top of there game with fresh towels and replacement toiletries.||The breakfast and dinner were very good as was the choices of food on offer, all was cooked and baked to a top standard.||The hotel’s amenities, including the spa and inviting pool, added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. We booked massages in the spa and we’re very pleased with the service.||||The true highlight, however, was the staff’s thoughtfulness in making my birthday unforgettable. Without any prior request, they surprised me with a decorated birthday cake and a chilled bottle of champagne delivered to our room whilst we were out and on or return was a lovely surprise.||The cake was not only gorgeous but absolutely delicious it was rich, moist, and perfectly flavoured. The champagne was a lovely touch as was the hand drawn card, elevating the celebration to something very special.||The staff’s attention to detail and genuine care made me feel so valued and celebrated.||||Every aspect of our stay, from the impeccable service to the charming ambiance, was flawless.||The surprise gesture from the team turned a great stay into an extraordinary one. I’m already looking forward to returning to in the near future.||||Paul and Jane.

We received a lovely welcome upon arrival – thank you so much for the thoughtful upgrade for my parents in celebration of my dad’s birthday. The surprise bottle of champagne and cake were both excellent and made the occasion even more special.|The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety and high quality. The location is perfect, and the hotel itself is fabulous – a true 5-star experience in every way.|We’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels across Cyprus and Turkey, but The Akin Colony truly stands out. The management is clearly knowledgeable and runs a tight ship. The cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the hotel are remarkable, and the standards are consistently high.|We couldn’t have asked for more – highly recommended.

This is a bona fide 5-star hotel. Don't mistake it for tourist grade. Spotlessly clean, lovely decoration in keeping with the building's heritage. Friendly and helpful staff. Location perfect for a city centre hotel. Excellent facilities, rooftop pool and spa are very special. Restaurant food was delicious, although not as much choice and variety as you might expect for breakfast. However, there was something for everyone and being British I am in the minority, so perhaps a full English was asking too much. Bar and room service prices are very reasonable. The room was well-equipped with a fantastic coffee machine as well as the expected coffee and tea making facilities. A nice addition. Bathroom simply excellent with an odd window to the suite. Bathroom AND wet room. Never seen that before. Very polite parking valet service. Definitely recommended. Worth mentioning the casino. A lot of fun, honest and well operated but the lack of English-speaking staff could be frustrating at times.

whilst not staying here this time whenever im in girne i always go for a massage here. lady was excellent and pressure was exactly what i wanted. i made the mistake of staying elsewhere this holiday but wont repeat that. it will be colony and then arkin palm beach next time. you get what you pay for. beautiful hotel, very clean good rooms if your at the back away from the road noise.

Terrible service, unfriendly staff, corrupted, dishonest, lowbrow, hillbilly and impertinent casino managers who can not control himselves and shouts the customers. Avoid these cowboy muppets and select another "professional" establishment for your vacation. Never never and never again!!!

Old style expensive hotel with opportunist policies. My mother come to visit us while we are staying in an airbnb. We booked this hotel for her and checked in her together with my wife and 2 years old son. The reception wanted to charge her 100euro a day and said you entered the room at checkin with an infant. And they said they have secret recording of us entering the room together, which is creapy and I assume could be illegal. We wanted to call the police and they backdown. There is no facilities for child and not suitable for families with children. Other than the hotel is nice.

Excellent hotel in centre of Kyrenia. Spotlessly clean. Lovely rooms. Lovely friendly staff always willing to help opening doors etc. Great pool on roof...shame it wasn't heated- it was April. Nice bar on roof level for a last drink each night. Cannot fault the hotel. The window in the adjoining hotel was amazing. Thank you to all the staff.
