Great spot and location! Lots of seating options inside and outside for a fairly small cafe. Got the bagel which was £7.50 and it was quite small and the bagel was tougher than expected. Service was great and food was made quickly. Would recommend for a nice cafe option

Absolutely delicious pastrami Bagel good coffee too. This is one of those places that you will come back to once you have found it. The parking nearby can be tricky, but that is a 1-hour parking spot opposite

I've bern in the UK for a month and visited quite a few cafes - nobody makes coffee like these guys. Smooth with just the right hit of caffeine. Super friendly with just the right tunes playing. It's no wonder all the locals were here and not across the road. Updated 17 Oct - Alex, Sam, Tom and the crew are great. I'm still searching for a cafe in Exeter to beat The Common Beaver and so far there is no one that can beat these guys making coffee. Their cakes are fantastic and bagels are awesome. Just don't bother going anywhere else but here - you'll be wickedly disappointed

Overpriced for very poor standard of food. Dry bagel, very basic ingredients, dry chicken, greasy…wouldn’t return

First time visiting today as the place has always been packed when we’ve walked by. Big mistake, dirty, shabby, dead plants, broken furniture etc dumped around the edge of the very dirty tent, uninspiring menu, small coffee cups and glasses, burnt bacon, dry chicken, chewy and tough bagels, you couldn’t cut the bagel in half. Napkins, as thin as old school toilet roll. Lovely view of the multitude of bins next door. No waitress service, miserable staff. Watched the waitress put rubbish in the bin and then serve food, also wiped down half a table for four, why didn’t she clean the whole table? Floor dirty and needs a good sweeping, furniture dirty. Won’t be returning.

I ordered a bagel, which was a bit dry, and a coffee that was very watery and not frothy. The staff were polite, but they don’t accept cash, which was inconvenient. I probably won’t be coming back.

Had Americano with guest espresso this morning - should have asked for more details on the coffee as it was excellent. Everything bagel was spot on with halloumi. Looking forward to going back.

Went mid week for a coffee break, really fun atmosphere with indoor & outdoor seating. We were lucky to have caught it on a sunny day, and the vegan bagels were super tasty 🥯
