Let me tell you about Rebecca, she is such a professional! She gave me the best haircut of my life! I have curly hair and it is always a challenge to find someone that can cut it right, not only did she take her time on my hair but she taught me things I didn't even know about curly hair. She is so sweet and friendly. I highly recommend her!

Lydia is absolutely amazing! I have thin, fragile hair with very little natural volume, and she makes it feel so clean, full, and healthy every time. I honestly wish she could do my hair every day! If you’re looking for a new hairdresser, Lydia is the one to go to!!

I have only AMAZING things to say about Catie! I followed her here all the way from Charleston SC. She keeps my hair anxiety calm. I tell all my friends that my stylist focus's on the integrity of my hair and tries to keep it as healthy as we can even when lightning. Recently she gave me such a cute short cut and color, I got compliments all weekend during my work conference! So happy with my services and can't wait for more to come!!

After 6 months + I finally got my hair done. And let me tell you it was time! It was my first time ever at the Common room and my stylist was Sabrina. She is the sweetest and so helpful! I’ve never had a stylist walk me through my vision and help me select the best color and style for my hair. She took her time and answered all my questions. If you’re looking for a stylist like that I highly recommend Sabrina🤍

Nothing but good things to say! Morgan Wilson gave me a fantastic razored pixie/bixie. I felt completely confident letting her chop off all my hair. And she is a genuinly warm and friendly person on top of her slay styling skills. Brooke Todd gave me amazing pale, platinum beige highlights that looked exactly like the photo I showed her. It is extremely difficult to lift my hair without over processing it - but she ate! And she is hilarious and super friendly. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

I’m so glad I found this salon! Sabrina has made me feel so confident and I get so many compliments on my hair since I’ve been going to her. She’s very professional and has been very helpful in educating me about different coloring techniques and what works for my hair type. She’s an absolute sweetheart and I highly recommend! Also the atmosphere of the salon is fabulous. I love getting a nice robe to wear and a great cup of coffee when I walk in. It makes the whole experience extra special.

Emmaleigh is amazing!!! As someone who has only ever gone to the same hairstylist my entire life, it could’ve been scary to try a new place, but it was super easy to have a great experience with her. Was VERY impressed by her ability to perfectly match, mix, and brighten the existing color that was already in my hair. I loved the end result and the attention to every detail throughout! Highly recommend Emmaleigh especially if you are looking for a color job!

I seriously can’t say enough amazing things about Sabrina! I’ve never been amazing at keeping up with my hair or vocalizing what I’m looking to do, and she nails it every time. Highly recommend!

Very stylish and clean salon. Went here just for Rebecca because she specializes in razor cuts. I have extra thick hair and she really did a great job handling it and really took her sweet time to consult with me and focus on the details. Will be back again! Thanks Rebecca!

I have been having my hair cut at the common room for 3 years. I moved to Charlotte last year and have been driving back to Greenville for visits- a 2 hour drive. I had a family emergency today and had to cancel my appointment- a whopping 2 hours shy of the 24 hour cancellation policy. I was told by the salon manager that since I had "plenty of time to cancel" I would be charged 15%!! Because we 100% can predict an emergency Sadly The Common Room has lost my business

I hadn't had my hair cut in over a year, so picking the right stylist was very important to me. I work all day, so I really appreciate the early evening appointment slots. Brooke was wonderful. She was open to the photos of hairstyles I liked, and she talked me through which cuts would perform best with my type of hair. She was just delightful, and I'll definitely go back!

I visited The Common Room by Unity Park, and asked if they had openings same day. They were able to get me in within a couple of hours, which worked well for my spontaneous travel schedule. Sophia Morales took the time to listen and give me a great shampoo / cut and blow out for a reasonable price. She was easy to talk with and you can tell she really enjoys her chosen field. I would highly recommend Sophia to anyone who needs a great cut! I have long layers but know she is skilled with many other styles and types of hair, including curly. She is also a makeup artist and would be the perfect person to see before a special event. The Common Room is a very quaint space, and close to shops, restaurants and the lovely Unity Park great - for walking and other outdoor activities. Great job The Common Room and Sophia!

Super pleased with my haircut from Clay. He is friendly and welcoming and will chat with you about exactly what you want, and will then carefully cut with precision. The salon itself is modern and airy and feels very comfortable. Everyone I came across was very friendly. Highly recommend!

Was able to book a last minute appointment for a women's hair cut with Clayton and truly...the BEST haircut I've ever had!!! I have never shown a stylist a picture of what I was looking for and had them match the picture so well. Clayton is a great conversationalist, I felt so welcome at TCR and was so comfortable the entire time I was there. I live in Charleston and would happily make the 3 hour drive to Greenville for an appointment with him again. I'm so thrilled with my haircut and can't wait to go back. Thank you ALL for such a welcoming, wonderful experience!!!

This place deserves 10 stars! Got cuts for two family members here in one day, had to schedule them apart (because I was scheduling on short notice) and it started with a friendly phone call to see if I wanted to try to schedule them together! We weren't able to work it out - but the fact that they were proactively working to make things easy for us made an impression, and is *not* the status quo in my experience. When we got there, it was smiles and friendly greetings from everyone there, and a delicious coffee to boot. Both Heather and Cheyenne did an amazing job - skillful cuts with professionalism and kindness. The low-key, modern, yet refined vibe made waiting for them to do my teen's cut more like a treat than killing time. We'll definitely be back!

This place is really great! I followed Ashley James here bc shes the best barber / hair stylist in the city. The shop has a very high end, mid century modern feel and they offer coffee, beer and wine. It's a fairly new place that opened at the end of July. They offer high end salon services as well as top notch barber services. A men's haircut starts at $35

This was my first haircut at this salon. Cheyenne is the best and so sweet. I loved my haircut, and it was exactly what I was wanting. She took the time to ask me questions to truly understand what I was looking for in my cut. Great atmosphere and a great latte. It felt like a spa day. I will definitely go back again. Could not recommend enough.

Clay is the best! He was super sweet and personable, and he makes a fantastic cup of coffee. He listened to everything I had to say about my hair, and I don't think I've ever had a haircut I've loved this much. On top of that, he took the time to help me understand how to style my hair better and even turned me onto some new products! I will definitely be seeing him again, and I think this is a fantastic and affordable salon for those looking to get a cut. I 100% recommend.

i was very disappointed by the services I had here. being new to the city, I decided to give this place a try. I am a male with short hair and wanted to do all over blonde. i made appointment online and upon my arrival, the stylist immediately tells me she doesn't have enough time to do my color and I can come back Saturday. I immediately let her know I didn't have time to come back. so after several minutes of her asking a coworker what to do, she says she will TRY to finish my hair. ummm...so she then starts to ask me if I've ever box dyed my hair bc it's not lifting color the way it should. umm..i told her I did not and 2 hours later and having her assistant step in and finish, my hair is definitely not what I wanted but I was desperate to get the hell out. she barely said 2 words to me and then I was shocked by the price. I was charged $200!! this place is a rip off and one of the worst experiences I've ever had. the girl working the counter was also rude and did not even say thank you after I dropped $200 for crappy service and crappy hair that I'm gonna have to pay more money to fix. do not go here!!!

Came in hoping to just get a trim, left with my hair butchered. I came into the salon with semi curled hair and the stylist cut it dry and said we'll straighten it out after we wash it, she never did. There's no way you can get an even cut while the hair is curled. She cut a shelf into my hair. The bottom half is long and then she cut the top half to the length of my shoulder- straight across, not blended or anything. I don't know why anyone would cut anyones hair like that. I also asked for a colored gloss and showed her a picture of what I've gotten before, and she must've just put a clear one on cause my hair was the same color that I came in with. And I asked her how long she did hair for (apparently 13 years) She never once turned me around to see the back of my hair and curled it before I left so I never got to see what it really looked until I got home. I would never go back to her (heather). I basically just wasted 145 for nothing

Great experience. In from out of town and made a last minute appointment with Clay and was really pleased with the experience overall. Great haircut, great place. Highly recommend.

Been hunting for a barber since I moved to Greenville in May of last year. I found a few that were okay...either too expensive or gimmicky. I gave The Common a Room a try and knew within two minutes it was going to be a spot I'll return to...warm welcome, cool vibe, great music, offered a beer and Ashley did an excellent job on my hair with some great conversation. Will return!
