This review is for the marina area bar and live music. Always low key, a lot of fun, very casual. They definitely need an updated website with a calendar of events.

This place has a great atmosphere and cool set up. Food is great. Has little tiki huts that you climb stairs to for your party. Sits about 9 tightly. Each party has reached know tiki hut.

My wife and I were there for a wedding this past weekend and the cottage was so quaint and nostalgic to me. I grew up going to John’s Pass and this reminded me of those cottages. LR, DR, Kitchen, bathroom and king size bed in BR. Nothing extra fancy but so neat and clean. There’s a marina and restaurant across the street which has good food.

I love this place. Drove from Leesburg to have dinner at The Conch restaurant. Service was great. I ordered the filet mignon dinner. Cooked perfectly.

This restaurant is a must. The scenery is fantastic. The drinks and food was fresh and delicious. Loved the Lobster mac n cheese. Vera our waitress was fun, friendly and helpful. The key lime pie is homemade and by far the best ive ever had!! Definitely one to come back to. Give it a try.

Yelp
We live in Jacksonville and usually hit The Conch House in St Augustine for their live music (especially when Cubby is playing) and water front location. The wait staff is decent and the food can sometimes be hit or miss. The calamari, fish dip and hot artichoke & shrimp bake appetizers are all delicious! The bartenders are awesome especially the ones out at the lounge on the pier. We were there last Friday to hear Chubby play and the place was packed! Everyone one had a great time! The marina has been remodeled and the lounge area has been renovated and expanded. We will be back and I highly recommend The Conch House!!!

Yelp
Recently I've been to the Conch House Marina twice. The first trip was on a Wednesday evening with my boyfriend and the second trip was on a Sunday afternoon listening to live reggae with friends. My first visit midweek the bar was pretty slow. Service was fast and friendly. My boyfriend and I explored the upper level. If you take the spiral staircase you will find a small room with a round couch which could fit 8 to 10 people comfortably. I wouldn't come up here when the temperature is hot because there appears to be no AC. You can see down into the bar. And during the day I'm sure it's a beautiful view of the bay. My second trip was for Reggae Sunday. It's a $5 cover to get onto the marina. Pass the indoor bar, make a right and walk down the ramp to the floating bandshell. Or better yet follow the music. We arrived late and heard the last four songs. The band was great! There were two bar options on the marina. An outside and inside bar. They are across the marina from one another. Both were crowded but the wait wasn't too bad. There were also several restrooms available. I definitely want to go back for Reggae Sundays but plan to arrive earlier next time!

Yelp
This is not a resort. It is a fishing camp motel. At $180 a night, I expected a LOT more. Stayed here because our fishing charter launched from Conch House marina. (Fishing was incredibly good, but that's another review.) The buildings show serious signs of neglect. The one I stayed in had rotten wood at one window and several stretches of exterior wall that had the stucco siding completely missing off. One missing section was nearly 8 feet long. Room 3, where I stayed, itself was very cool. The room has the original tile from the 1940s and other looks from the original construction. I approve. I just wish the mattress in the bedroom was also not an original from 1940. You could lay down 5 layers of towels on a concrete floor and get the same level of comfort. Took a shower. After about 3-4 minutes the water finally got warm. Not hot. Warm. It was OK as it was hot outside, but during winter or a cold snap, it would not be good enough. I almost called the front desk and ask what was wrong with the hot water. Water in the kitchen sink came out in a thing stream. In the bathroom, it was a gusher. The AC was meat-hanging cold. That was superlative. However, when it came on, it also sounded like someone shoved a bunch of dry leaves into the ductwork. The overhead fan hummed so loud that when the AC went off, I thought it was the AC blower motor getting hung up. I slept very little and was regularly awakened by pain in my hips and shoulders caused by the bed. The folks running the place were extremely nice. Bar was pretty good. Restaurant was pretty good, said others in the group I stayed with.

Yelp
Beautiful marina! Boats around here range from 10K to 1M easily. The deck hands were extremely helpful. We definitely were able to enjoy a good night sleep. A must- go eat at OC WHITE's seafood- short walking distance with a hell of a view.

Yelp
We have been coming for literally 35 year, Memorial Day and Labor Day. We started out single, then married and have raised 2 children and we have loved this place. We have been taking them fishing on the dock by the cleaning station just to stay out of the way and to not snag any boats. We are very respectful of people's property. This is the first year(children grown) taking our 20 month grand daughter and grandson to the fish cleaning station to fish (which stinks by the way) We were literally scolded and told we can't do this any longer. The new owner only allows 2 people to fish here, his son and his friend. What an A__! After 35 years, we will probably be changing locations of vacation all because the kids can't fish here. My husband says " we pay a 4 star price and only get a1 star room. We will be changing locations. Sorry Conch House!

Yelp
3rd time is a charm. Every visit has been terrible. We will never come back here! The front manager made a rude statement about me and my family because we complained about OVER cooked and EXTREMELY DRY Wahoo! If you felt like an idiot that is on you for not having customer service skills! Instead of apologizing you came at us like a bull! I left feeling like I need a shower. Totally slumming. Yes, my husband tried to eat the food without complaining. So, she brought the plate back to the table.....and said since you ate half of the plate.... Take 50% off. Then held us hostage for another 20 mins to yes bring another piece of nasty over cooked dried out wahoo. We wouldn't feed that to a stray cat! The atmosphere is amazing and our server Myles was super gracious! He endured us!

Kim M.

Yelp
This is such an awesome little gem from an old style motor lodge with a pool to a wonderful restaurant with the best views. There's always something happening from live music to watching the charters and the catch of the days. I love their shrimp and grits always on point. The crow nest seats are fabulous for a view of Florida sunsets. This place is awesome and if you're really lucky, you might catch an authentic Full Moon Luau on a Saturday night.

John C.

Yelp
I first ate here almost 40 years ago and it's not changed a bit since then as far as atmosphere. Definitely could use an upgrade such as produce some shade already! It was beastly hot outside, I felt so for all of the sweaty overheated servers who were very nice but us customers were uncomfortable. NO ONE, SERVERS/DINERS WERE WEARING MASKS despite being an hour south of the current epicenter of COVID! REALLY? Does it take another over 600,000 Americans to die before the TRUMP CROWD finally takes this pandemic seriously? Other than the fries and beer, the food wasn't good. The fried green tomato BLT had a 3/4" inch sliced tomato that was fried in some soggy not nice seasoning. For 2 people the bill came to $90, I felt ripped off, super disappointed.

Roxanne S.

Yelp
My mom and I were here in town for my school interview. We went here for lunch one day and the view was fabulous. I had heard they have really great Keylime pie so I made sure to make room for it. The shrimp and grits was amazing. It was so creamy with its roasted red peppers, shrimp, and of course bacon! Can't go wrong with anything that has bacon in it, right? We had to order a second key lime pie because we weren't able to share the one that we ordered.

Robert C.

Yelp
This place has so much potential, what happened? Reviews are somewhat on point. Staff is friendly and courteous but need management direction and communication. I waited 18 minutes before I was acknowledged by a server. Server apologized and acknowledged there's a communication issue amongst staff. This appears to be a self inflicted wound and management failure. Food was mediocre at best, chef needs to be managed and trained in today's current market in good tasting food. Lots of tourists here, locals seem to come here for the outside seating ambiance, sunsets and cocktails, 5 stars on that.

Lewis L.

Yelp
Yep you heard it Bed Bugs. When I checked in we had this one bedroom suite across the street unit 20 I think and the bed literally caved in when you sat on it collapsing halfway to the ground and I am not kidding. They claimed that all the beds were brand new and that somebody broke it. Impossible the liner on the bottom of the bed was loose and old. The top sheet was too small for the bed. On top of that there were Nats in the bathroom coming out of the drain's and the shower was full of them. The management was nice enough to move us to a room near the pool, unit 16. Lots cleaner but unmanageable areas in the bathroom making it difficult to place your items. The next day I woke up covered in bites head to toe even in my scalp. The management claimed they don't have bed bugs and the law states they need to spray often. They also tried to convince me that I got chiggers from a grassy area or a tree. I was on a jet ski trip never walked on grass or under trees and always wore a hat, sunscreen and bug repellent. I googled other incidents and I am not the only case. Also complaint #2 you need to serve breakfast during the week as well. Ok

Florida Cracker Homestead ..

Yelp
We stayed for a few days this Independence Day. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The only thing I had a problem with is they open the pool at dawn and close it at dusk and breakfast is only on the weekends. So that's not really a problem just a preference. The restaurant is conveniently right next to the hotel The rooms were very clean and the staff does whatever it takes to make you happy during your stay. It'll be our new go to place every year. Btw, the ranch dressing is delish but different. It has cumin and lime in it. Kind of a taco flavor. It's really good but I just wanted to put that out there incase you look for traditional a ranch dressing.

Yelp
Visiting the area and decided to give this place a try. Restaurant and server was great. Would have given 5 stars, except for the rude older female bartender on the back deck. Was sitting at the bar and a gentleman behind me was waiting 15 minutes patiently to order a drink. I moved aside and informed the bartender this gentleman has been waiting for a drink. She snapped back and said I don't need to tell her how to do her job. After this time, my girlfriend who lives in the area joined us. I told her what happened. She said she wasn't surprised, because the same bartender snapped at her a few months back and told her she didn't need to come back after she tried to order a drink. My girlfriend said she never planned on coming back again, until I asked her to meet us. Guess who didn't get a tip to share with her coworkers? Someone told us it was the managers wife. REALLY??

Yelp
Beautiful tropical decor! Menu has many regional items. This is where the positive comments have to end! Our service was unbelievably slow! The party that came in after we did had their drinks on the table before our drink order was taken! We decided that we would split an appetizer, the Cracked Conch. It looked good and was crispy and but sadly bland! The service continued to be slow, despite telling the waitress we were trying as many restaurants as possible on our 1 day stay. If you are in a time crunch you probably want to avoid this place!

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
A fun place to visit. Do not miss reggae Sunday...You are sure to witness a fight!

Yelp
This location seemed like a great idea since it is one of the few hotels that offers slips for boats. At first, it seemed like a quaint, old-school FL style hotel. The color and decor of the rooms were beautiful. Beyond that, it went down hill from there. Due to the strange times we are living, we carry lots of clorox wipes and clean our own rooms before we get settled in. Thankfully so, because it did not appear that our room had been fully turned over for us before check-in. In the bathroom, I cleaned old food (rice) off the counter tops. Long hairs were stuck to the shower stall walls. The floor did not appear to have been swept. It was gritty and many similar hairs from a previous guest were on the tile floor. One bed's sheets were not fully on and the other bed was missing the top sheet. The pillows smelled as if they were full of dust making it difficult to sleep with them. To top all of that off, there were other guests who took over the pool from the start of the day til the end. They had a loud, large stereo they blasted around the clock all the while smoking pot. The hotel did nothing to tame their behaviors. And because there were gaps in the door and the walls were thin, you could hear everything the entire time from inside the room. The staff at the desk were rude to small requests and pleads for help with the noise and behaviors. As we watched people leave the pool the second day, we noticed many went to random cars and left. It seems that the guests entertained many locals at the pool as well. This truly was the most miserable experience we have had a hotel anywhere. We will not return to this place nor will we recommend it to anyone we know.

Yelp
This bar gets a 5 for ambiance but a 1/for service and quality. Averaged together this would be a 2, but the style of this place makes me give it a boost to acceptable. The bartenders here are wholly incapable... I asked for a margarita (GF likes them...) And they gave me a plastic cup with margarita mix in water and a tequila shot added on top all poured over a few ice cubes. This cost $10. The Miller lite I got was $5, in the bottle. The bartender acted like I was putting her out to order a beer. The style of the decor in this bar was very appropriate for its location, floating feet over the bay. There is an open glass floor in the middle of the bar as well as a pretty crows nest that is made up like a VIP room in a 1970's club. TL;DR: Overpriced, bad staff, cute environment.

Melinda W.

Yelp
Service by Jamie was amazing, gator tail and calamari app delicious, shrimp and grits were great but kids chicken tenders tasted like water per our 10 yr old, our friends ahi tuna salad was sub par and over cooked and lobster mac n cheese DID NOT have lobster...being an avid lobster eater I immediately notice that it was not lobster but imitation crab..if you cant do it right, do not do it at all..come on man!!

Rene W.

Yelp
Amazing location. Great bands. Excellent drinks. Love the bar. Restaurant (separate) is over priced and pretty average

Mary S.

Yelp
Quality of food was not there the day we were there for lunch. We are locals and have been going there since 1978. As usual nothing stays the same when owners change. At his time we do not expect to go back. Our memories are better

Michele S.

Yelp
The grounds are beautiful love the retro style of the place. I would have given it a 4 star however two issues one the bathroom smelled like mildew and the towels were horrible and for a family of four we had to keep asking for additional ones. Second after a long day we came back to our room to fin that they never cleaned it the girl at the desk told Us they forgot. Really how do you forget to clean a guest room? Other than that if you are looking for a cool retro style motel this is a great place to stay

Yelp
Last weekend my family and I decided to go to Conch House to celebrate my husband's birthday. From the start our waitress (Yadera) was "abrasive" in a rush and acting strange. My sister in law ordered a non-alcoholic smoothie. The waitress brought a half filled pineapple of a watered down orange liquid that looked like it was what you would see on a table AFTER the guests have left. It literally looked like it was someone's leftover.   I asked the waitress if we could speak to someone about it. I showed a mgr (male) what the drink looked like and he DID offer to replace the drink However, my sister in law felt grossed out by it and said she didnt want it and settled with water. No harm no foul, no confusion. The service was poor, everyone else received their food except myself, it finally comes out, again no harm no foul, no confusion. Meals over, waitress comes to my brother in law to ask if he wanted a to go box for his gator tail of which he only ate one. He says "no thanks" you can just dump that she asks did he not  like it, he says no, it wasn't really good the meat was too tough. No harm no foul, no confusion. In the time frame of just going to the rest room, I come back to the table and a female manager is at our table going off. Apparently the waitress told her we wanted to take the gator tail (which there were 2 orders so why would we just want to remove one. IF that's what we were "trying to do")  off the ticket which was NEVER our request. The manager comes to our family table saying, "OK FOLKS THIS IS WHAT WE'RE NOT GOING TO DO, IM ONTO THIS GAME YOU'RE PLAYING AND YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ORDERING FOOD, EAT IT AND THEN DECIDE YOU DONT LIKE IT AND WANT IT REMOVED"  I swear everyone at our table and the surrounding guests was DUMB FOUNDED, we thought we were being punked at this point.  First off, NO ONE asked for it to be removed she was told it was unsatisfactory and to just dump it. Secondly, We could not believe her behavior, our treatment and the UNPROFESSIONAL AND OFFENSIVE MANNER she was speaking to us and treating us. I tell her that her treatment, behavior and choice of words were unacceptable (she let us know she worked for the owner) really ??? EVERY employee in there works for the owner even the dish washer and no one should be treating customers in that way.) She's going back and forth "word vomit" all around and tells me do I expect her to change her vocabulary and she speaks that way to everyone. Highly doubtful, I don't know whether she is racist or not but her being caucasion and us all being black would probably lead anyone with common sense in that direction. I find it hard to  believe that all "folks" that come there would find that acceptable customer service or tolerate that treatment. Whether black, white, purple or green. Well at this point my husband pays the $100 tab plus an additional  $100 dollars that we had already paid for drinks for a table of five. No one was drunk (do the math) and also had already paid for Reggae Sunday at $5 a person. There's so much more to say but this in itself is bad enough. Other customers and employees were sincerely apologizing to us in utter disbelief of our treatment. My husband and I have been here regularly since 2010 and beyond the "battle royale" of drunken fools we usually have an ok time. NEVER AGAIN !!! Even funnier when we're outside leaving the male manager had the nerve to come out and ask if we were leaving a tip. ARE YOU SERIOUS ?!? Gratuity is for SERVICE and that waitress did NONE and caused the entire incident. Since Monday I have been trying to contact an OWNER and no return contact has been made. Word of mouth is a powerful thing and social media even MORE POWERFUL. Sharing our nightmare experience should be a cautionary tale for future "folks" who may decide to spend their hard earned money here. Oh yeah and Happy Birthday to my Husband from the CONCH HOUSE, such a great celebration. Wouldn't you agree ...

Shane G.

Yelp
Very nice place to watch the boats come in. The size of some of the boats is spectacular. A fun couple of hours.

Lynn A.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible food and service. I actually just got done having food poisoning from this place!! Stay away!!

Sue H.

Yelp
Nice place. We would come back again. Loved walking around looking at everything. Wasn't busy and was very relaxing.

Tracy Y.

Yelp
absolutely horrible management, meaning the manager is a bully. She personally came over to our table and harassed me in front of my dad. I have been several times and not once have we ever had it go smoothly. I ordered the grit cake fish which is delicious only to receive my fish in a ton of sauce. It's dark outside so I thought it was hiding. Nope no grit! I asked the waiter and he took it back only to come back and say they were out. So instead of the chef telling his waiter he just hoped I wouldn't notice! Literally, there is too many issues to even write. It's truly a shame because the food is delicious and always fresh and the staff is equally very good. That is why I would continue to give it another try. Well not anymore! They need new managers!!!!!

Jillian L.

Yelp
I LOVE the Conch House Marina!!! I had my wedding there last weekend and it was the best, most beautiful experience. Julie went above and beyond to make the day go as seamless as possible. Our food was delicious, the bar service was amazing and the whole event was even better than I could have imagined and it is all thanks to the Conch House staff. If you have an event or just want to hang out in a cool environment and eat delicious food, go to the Conch House, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Julie, Jamie and Jamie for making my special day the Best Day Ever and the most fun I have ever had :)

Katie N.

Yelp
On vacation & went with my family to this cool themed restaurant today. Food was absolutely delicious in every way, there wasn't a bite left on anybody's plate! Our waitress McKenzie was great as well. Would definitely recommend!

Ashley M.

Yelp
If you like old outdated decor they try to pass off as vintage charm, beds hard as a rock, no blow dryer, extra pillows or blankets in the room, and a pool Nazi that does a literal head count when she walks by you will love this place! We stayed mostly for the boat slip convenience for a fishing tournament. Not worth it! We will not be returning!

Debbie W.

Yelp
We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the lounge that is out over the water. The menu in the lounge is limited, but the host showed us the menu and we decided it would be fine for us. When we got out there, the bartender told us that she was the only person working out there. She took our drink order and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We figured the service would be slow, but we were not in a hurry so we didn't care. We were so wrong. She was amazingly efficient and very personable. I had the lobster roll. I can't say that it was the very best I have ever had, but it was very good and I really enjoyed it. My husband had the blackened shrimp tacos that were fantastic. This is what I will order next time. They came with a huge portion of black beans and rice that was delicious. I would love to try some of the items on the more extensive menu, but it is hard to pass on being out on the water. We can't wait to visit again.

Tracy R.

Yelp
VERY POOR SERVICE. Seated around 7 pm, food did not arrive until 755 pm. No apologies from waitress or assistant manager Jason. Another case of patrons around us who came in after us, ate and left while we were still waiting. Husband side dishes are cold. Children's fries are HEAVILY salted. Don't waste your money. The 18% gratuity included in every check is a rip off. No incentive for staff to provide good service. Go somewhere else.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Very disappointed!! We go every year to the local Chowder Debate. So we thought let's try the restaurant. We decided to sit outside the weather was perfect. The host wasn't very nice. She couldn't decide where we should sit since we had someone in a wheelchair. We finally sit. The waitress asked if we were ordering food. We said yes. She said we had a time limit of 2 hours. Ok. Whatever. They weren't very busy. Not sure why she told us that. The apps we got were not hot. The hamburger was rare and fries were cold. We won't be back and we won't tell anyone to go there either. Being local we heard good things from friends. My opinion it wasn't worth the money!!! Will not promote or be back.

Tracy S.

Yelp
BEWARE I grew up near St. Augustine and we came up for a concert. We chose thenConch House not because of what it offers but simply because it was a couple miles from the Amphitheater. We paid for 2 nights in which it rained almost the whole time. We checked it at 11am on Monday but stayed by the pool. Everyone who had stayed that weekend was three for the concert also so the place was super empty with only 1 family who checked in that day. There were 2 of us just laying in lounge chairs and the manager came over and sled if we were staying here. I said we checked out today. You let me in my room yesterday. She said policy was to vacate after check out but it's a slow day so you're fine. 30 minutes later she comes back and says we need to vacate he premises because the owner said so and if we don't he will charge us $15 FOR EVRERY 15 MINUTES that we were still here. We were packing up to leave anyways to go eat. I said to her " you can't be serious....I've never been to a hotel that makes you leave as soon as you turn your room key in. Many hotels even hold your luggage at the desk. I said "is they he owner sitting there in that truck staring over here?" I walked over and politely asked him: "you want us to leave?" He said yes check out was at 11am. I said yes. We checked out and since it was finally sunny decided to lay by the pool. I travel a lot and I've never hear of such a thing. He says to me "I've tracked all over end stayed in Ritz Carltons and I don't stick around after check out". Basically he was a straight up DICK. Bottom line is as paying patrons he had to make a big deal about 2 girls at he pool. Here were literally 8 people by the pool. The other people were also given a hard time bc they weren't hotel guest but marina guests who pay $12k a year to be marina members. BORTOM LINE IS THE OWNER HAS NO HOSPITALITY SKILLS WHATSOEVER. Probably never worked the service industry in his life. On a side note: Reggae Sunday used to be the bomb back in that day but now it's dark and trashy.

Yit P.

Yelp
Terrible establishment. Dirty rooms, horrible management, disgusting.. would never come here again. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere decent. Came into our room without permission, no knock, only reason we found out is because one of us stayed behind and was using the bathroom and heard them scurry out when she flushed the toilet. When confronting them about it they said it was the cleaning lady bringing towels that no one asked for? which was a complete lie. Very shady would never stay here again!

Janetlynne H.

Yelp
Very disappointing - very dated - light comes on and off on its own. Refrigerator made loud clunking noise throughout the night. This hotel needs serious work. The staff was not friendly and couldn't even greet the guest as they enter the office. They could at least wish a safe trip or even ask if everything was ok when the guest checks out Maybe they are afraid to ask!! Positive note: hot water and the heat worked.

Chris C.

Yelp
We have stayed here 3 times now. we love it here and cant wait for the reggae bands to start up. The staff and Bo have been awesome every time. We are planning a trip again soon and will be bringing another group. Thank you again,

Jon B.

Yelp
We came in for an event right after a hurricane had hit the area. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating to our needs. We enjoyed quiet nights by the water as well as the restaurant and bar during the day. Ultra cool staff and very relaxing area.

Patti R.

Yelp
Understand this is primarily a casual low key bar/restaurant setting. Expect simple. Our rooms were very small. Lost one star for neighbors hanging outside our windows talking and partying, loud noise level, late into the night. Lost one star for roach in the bathroom.

Brian N.

Yelp
Went here during the covid-19 pandemic and they are following all of the social distancing guidelines. The staff was amazing and very attentive. The food a bit on the expensive side for the taste the blackened fresh catch Mahi was mediocre at best and lacked flavor. We ordered the calamari and they came out like they were cooked from a frozen bag from Costco, rings only and very chewy... you can tell they were previously frozen those were sent back, ordered conch fritters and those were disappointing as well "where's the conch in the conch fritters?" They were also cooked in old fry grease so they were dark almost like the hush puppies. This place has a great ambiance but low tide does offer some unsightly muddy water views I would love to see a paved parking lot in the future expect to walk through/ park in dusk on dry days and water holes and mud on they wet ones. Check out reggae Sunday that deserves 5 stars; this is their main event. It's 21 and up a lot of fun, good drinks, and live music.

Yelp
Very comfortable motel with all the accommodations you could need for a simple family vacation stay. I booked two rooms with two queen beds in each room & both included microwave ovens, cable tv, fridge & coffee maker. Our rooms were connecting rooms which were great since we were among family & were able to make early microwaved breakfast since the motel doesn't include breakfast. Sheets were clean, hot water & cold water worked & the heat heated up the rooms just fine in 50 degree windy weather. Just wish our stay would've been longer to enjoy all the other amenities the resort offers.

OrlandoGirl F.

Yelp
Mixed Review: Hotel staff has been great. very nice and helpful in the office. the woman cleaning our room was friendly and accomodating. The negative is more towards the facility. Our room is nice, updated, painted, wood floors, stainless appliances in the kitchen and and 1970s pink tile bathroom. yep. thats right. why on earth would you update the entire room, and leave a pink tile old bathroom? it makes no sense. Here's another thing that makes no sense. Laying in bed watching TV and needeing 2 seperate remote controls. One turns the TV on and off and adjusts the volume. The other changes the channel. The main family living room has 3 remotes. I have no idea why. I have mixed feelings on the hotel. Why wasnt the bathroom updated? Why arent there better towels? Why do I need 3 remotes? Will I come here again? Maybe.

Yelp
The room was very nice and really large! Very modern and updated. The bathroom was a little dated and shower pressure was weak but otherwise fine. Only negative part was the bedding. It was the toughest fabric I've ever felt. Like a burlap sack. And the pillows were really hard and uncomfortable. My only negative experience is that the room was not cleaned, bed was not made. They left us a stack of clean towels and that was it. It also appeared that my personal items had been gone through. My suitcase was not how I left it and I had some stuff sitting out that was definitely gone through as well.

Yelp
We rented two ground floor rooms facing the pool and the marina over Christmas. I love that my wife found this place for us and my mother in law. It was such a surprise and a delight. There's nothing else like it. Not that it's right for everyone. The kitchen and bathroom were largely original forties or fifties - the Ritz it is not. The sitting room was spacious and bright with windows all the way around. Marion at the desk was as personable and helpful as any I've met. The first restaurant has three unique floors plus outside seating with a number of crow's nest at various heights overlooking the water. We only sampled an appetizer and some beers but it was a great spot and its servers were fun and friendly. The bar-restaurant on the pier was closed but looked like a great spot too. For us, this family built, family run place was a treasure and will be our choice if we stay over in Saint Augustine again.

Yelp
I wanted to love this hotel. I booked it months in advance for my best friend's bachelorette party. I specifically requested adjoining rooms so our group could stay together. I had decorations and games so having adjoining rooms was the perfect way to keep all the girls together. I even called a few months before the trip to double check that I still indeed have adjoining rooms. When we arrived, we didn't have adjoining rooms nor the rooms I booked at all. And there was nothing they could do about it because they were fully booked and had already placed other guests in one of the adjoining rooms so it just wasn't possible. I was refunded my money and was told the manager was coming in the next day and was going to find another way to compensate me for the mix up and they would give me a call. They never did. I called a week later, and was told I'd get a call back the next day, never did. Overall, horrible experience dealing with these people and will never book with this place again. And I've already told many people not to, as well.

Yelp
We've kept our boat docked there for 4 years. The dockmaster and mates are very helpful and friendly. Great music all weekend and can't forget Reggae Sunday! Never a dull moment...feels like a vacation everytime we go down there.

Yelp
went to Reggae Sunday over the Labor Day weekend...Great fun. Stayed at the resort..VERY NICE rooms. Remember this is an old resort. See comments saying outdated. If you want resort feeling...stay at a Marriott Resort. All staff very friendly. Will definitely go back.
