I booked an overnight stay with my partner and the room we stayed in was great. Our room was simple but had tea, coffee, a kettle that worked and even a hairdryer for us to use. The bed was really comfortable, had the option for mood lighting in the colour blue which was very cool and black-out blinds that helped us sleep in just that little bit more in the morning. Our bathroom was nice, clean, and spacious as well being private, as we didn't need to share with other guests which we really appreciated. The art works were beautiful and we hardly heard any noise from other people staying in the building. I definitely recommend this hotel ☺️.

Exceptional Service from Georgia and Dui at The Constance From the moment I arrived at The Constance, Georgia and Dui made me feel like absolute royalty. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were second to none. Georgia greeted me with the kind of smile that instantly makes you feel at home, and her recommendations throughout my stay were spot-on — from dining to hidden local gems. Dui was equally outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Whether it was a last-minute request or just a friendly chat that brightened my day, she handled everything with grace and genuine care. Together, Georgia and Dui are a dream team. Their service felt personal, heartfelt, and truly unforgettable. I’ve stayed at many hotels, but it's rare to come across staff who make such a lasting impression. The Constance is lucky to have them — and because of them, I’ll definitely be back!

The location of the hotel is great, It's just a short walk to the station and amenities The service was very good as the front desk were friendly and helpful I found the rooms a bit underwhelming due to them being a little small and the views from the window was not that flattering Gym was functional but again small and lacked water and towels Unfortunately some works were being undertaken which was a little frustrating as it left 1 lift to service the whole building

Comfortable room. Clean, quiet, safe. Good location with much to do within walking distance. We were able to leave our luggage at the desk for several hours before checking in and again for a few hours after checking out

I booked this hotel and I was on travel for work related business. The hotel advertised that they had a meeting room - This feature was my deciding factor when choosing where to book for my stay as I was required in meetings that needed a quiet environment. That and the fact that for a CBD hotel, my booking was only $200, I was satisfied. I had email exchanges from 2 months before discussing and confirming the meeting room, however when I arrived, this was not the case. I was hot and flustered from my delayed flight and had a meeting starting first thing. Upon discussion with the front desk attendant at the time I was told the meeting room was not available and that they had beds in there and couldn’t be used. I showed the email exchanges and was told that the person replying to me was mistaken, and that it is not possible. Understanding that errors occur, I allowed the man at the desk some time to investigate and delayed the meeting for 30 mins. That all may sound negative but on my return, I was met with a fix to the misunderstanding. I was given access to a room for day use (9:30 until check in), of which I was extremely grateful for. Most hotels would charge at least a half daily rate for that, and considering the humid day it was I was loving the air conditioning! The only downside was that although the hotel stated there was WIFI, the WIFI is actually public with no password, therefore I couldn’t use the network for work due to privacy and security reasons (I had a work mobile so no problem there but FYI to others) My reason for the 4-5 stars actually lies in the ratings it reflects - I had a King room which was compact size but great. It had a desk with power and light, a baggage couch for my luggage, a small area to hang clothes, a fully equipped bathroom and a full length mirror. The service, bar the misunderstanding, was great as my issue was resolved and was compensated in the right way. The location was great for me as it was walking distance to the river, close by to cafes and easy to find. To note, the hotel has no other facilities like cafes, restaurants, bar, pool, gym etc, however the sports bar next door has smashing food and yummy cocktails! For others to note - The parking was a multi storey car park nearby called McWhirters. I wasn’t sure what to expect from an art hotel, but it definitely made my stay memorable (photos attached). It was funky, simple, compact and all round a great stay! Being able to have a cold shower 3 times before check in was an absolute godsend after going for a walk to the river! If I needed to return to Brisbane, I would be looking into this hotel as a cost efficient, all round good hotel to book with.

We paid over $400 (including parking) for one room for one night and it was definitely not worth this price. |We had 3 people booked in but only had 2 towels in our room, we went to reception and got one with no problem but considering we had to wait for our room as it was still being cleaned when we arrived, this is poor service. The bathroom has a massive spa bath that took an hour to fill due to poor water pressure and the jets didn’t work properly. There is a glass wall between the shower/ bath and the rest of the room - only half the glass is frosted so there is no privacy when showering. Parking is a block away which we weren’t advised when we booked. |Beds were very comfortable but this is the only positive. You could definitely find the same standard of hotel for cheaper or get a lot nicer for the price.

Ear plug/noise warning should come with check-in, better still when booking, have to be up at 5am, still wide awake at 2am. Noise is awful. I am not local and did not know the hotel is in a nightclub district. No water pressure to showers & the carpark is definitely a non-safe zone for women alone at night or early morning. Give this hotel a miss unless you love all night and morning “doof doof” until 3am.

Disappointing Experience – Avoid Room with Known Sewerage Issues I recently stayed at the Constance Hotel in Fortitude Valley and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Upon check-in, I immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant odour in my room—it smelled like sewerage. Initially, I assumed the room had been unused for a while and perhaps just needed some ventilation, but as I walked into the bathroom, the smell became overwhelmingly worse. It was clearly coming from the drains. When I contacted reception, the staff didn’t seem surprised. In fact, as soon as I mentioned the issue, they apologised and asked me to come down for a new room key. I was then told the smell was a known issue due to damage caused by a recent cyclone, which had affected the neighbouring bar and was causing drainage issues in some rooms. I appreciated the quick response, but it became clear that they were aware of the ongoing problem before assigning me the room. What’s worse is that the original room had a sticker with several numbers on the card reader—something I noticed none of the other rooms had—clearly indicating it was tagged for maintenance or known faults. Placing a guest in a room with acknowledged sewerage issues is unacceptable, especially without any warning or explanation upfront. While I didn’t want to create a scene and accepted the new room (which was fine), I left with a poor impression of the hotel’s service ethics. Knowing they knowingly place guests in faulty rooms is enough reason for me not to return. My recommendation? Skip The Constance. For a little extra, head over the road to the Calile Hotel. It’s brand new, the service is far superior, and you won’t have to worry about foul smells ruining your stay.
