"Planted in a charming floral shop, CooCoo's Nest is the ultimate healthy lunch spot with coconut-sweet-potato soup and fluffy frittatas from a Northern Cal chef."
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Reykjavik ... lovely atmosphere, friendly service and tasty, well made food with simple yet very nice presentation. The brunch menu has some great choices and I really liked the poached egg/spinach dish that I shared with a friend earlier today ( 30th December, 2020) ... 1/2 serving seen in the photos I'm sharing today. 😋 👍💕👍😋

An outstanding brunch location!
Takes a while to walk down to the harbour but it is absolutely worth it. The staff were incredibly friendly and let us chill inside before they opened as the weather was quite brutal.
Reasonably priced with amazing food and drinks. They offer a single vegan option "the vegan surprise". We had this and the breakfast burrito both were amazing. The vegan dish was designed as a vegan dish rather then removing non vegan elements and was incredible. They have a great drinks selection and we tried their beetroot mimosa which if you like beetroot is highly recommended.
The restaurant is very cosy with great interior and amazing bathrooms. Sounds weird but some of the best bathrooms I've seen in a restaurant.

Cozy and chic brunch spot serving beautifully scrambled eggs and omelettes that change daily, accompanied with a side of potatoes & bomb salsa and spongy sourdough bread (that I had to physically remove from my bf’s plate so he wouldn’t finish it). No reservations for brunch so come early!!

Easy to find location near the marina. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I went for brunch on a Saturday and ordered the vegan surprise. It was basically a loaded avocado toast and potatoes and absolutely AMAZING. Highly recommend when you're in Reykjavik.

Amazing quality of food, the sour dough bread was super fresh, as was the rest of their ingredients for their 'omelette of the day'. The vibe is great for a chilled brunch with super hospitable and friendly staff, will definitely return in the future!

Where hipster meets fine dining. Hipster atmosphere coupled with delicious fancy food. The place is small and cosy and is located in one of Reykjavik's hipest neighborhoods. Their brownie was super tasty and went quite well with the hot chocolate I ordered. Friendly English-speaking staff. They accept card payments.

Absolutely delicious! I had the eggs Florentine with a blue cheese sauce, perfect sour dough, and delicious greens. Reasonably priced drinks for Iceland. English spoken and English menus available. Very homey atmosphere. Can get quite crowded for brunch.
Small but pretty wheelchair friendly—there’s a metal ledge to get in (an inch or two high) that would require some help and a giant wheelchair accessible bathroom.

My favorite spot in Iceland. I took my friends here for a brunch and they loved it. The service was great (sorry we kept asking for stuff) and the food was also really good. The place itself is well decorated and really pretty. Their bathroom is also super cute lol. Located literally right by the harbor and Valdi’s and also near FlyOverIceland and the whale museum so if you’re into that this is the place to eat.
