Quaint location with family type atmosphere. Friendly service from knowledgeable waitstaff. Cozy gas fireplace in the corner made the restaurant very cozy. Food was tasty and there were good vegan and gluten free options.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Cooked Goose! Our server, Maddy, was exceptional. She provided outstanding service and made an excellent suggestion for the lobster roll, which turned out to be one of the best I've ever had. The flavors were perfect, and the freshness of the seafood was evident. Maddy's warm and friendly demeanor made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for Maddy for the best recommendations!

By far the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The bread was so fresh and delicious. My Husband ordered a breakfast burrito and he said it was very good! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We weren’t a huge fan of the home fries, thought they were too soggy but everything else was amazing.

Google
Amazing brunch/breakfast experience. Welcoming and warm atmosphere. Also the vanilla almond French toast is insanely good, so good I forgot to snap a picture. Not too sweet and not too much almond it was just perfect. 👍

Everything is perfect! American style, friendly and organized place with great food and fries. Recommend the burger and the cornbeef. Very fresh. Definitely come back if I’m in the area. Loved the fries!everything tasted like home!

Delicious breakfast! Lots of seating, but we went on Saturday, so it was crowded and waited for 25mins. There are outdoor seating so we were able to bring our dog. Friendly staff! Super clean washrooms

Google
Best breakfast in westerly by a ways. Might be the best in New England. Some unique menu items that are great(truffled eggs) but they're also outstanding at the standards(eggs bene, sausage and gravy) The lunch just falls a tiny bit flat after you've had the breakfast there. But really can't say enough good things about this place. I truly look forward to going there every time I'm in westerly. So pleasant and so good and so consistent.

Google
Cute location with indoor/ outdoor seating and great service. Lovely views: across street from the water- but real close by. Went for breakfast with a couple of friends. Service was amazing as we got our food right away. Place can be crowded but we didn’t have to wait. Got the inlet, traditional breakfast, and lox bagel. Portion sizes are pretty big and everything was delicious. Loved my lox and side of fish salad was so fresh and appetizing. Overall they nice and Defs recommend

Yelp
A 3 star ( great ambiance, great service and great food). Another kick ass creative name for a place. Ample parking and spacious inside seating. Fast service that was attentive and personal. Had the onmelette w potatoes and the spicy tartine. Highly recommend this joint.

Yelp
BEST PANCAKES EVER! I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and was mumbling the entire time about how I couldn't get enough. Paired with hot chocolate (which they were nice enough to make with oat milk), it was the best breakfast ever. The ambiance is warm and cozy and homy and all the good things. Especially with the Christmas tablecloths and decor!! The tables are spaced nicely and there was plenty of parking when we were there. Prices are totally fair. Service was good too! I loved it so much here that I bought a Get Goosed hoodie and will have it forever.

Yelp
Great no frills affordable yet fancy-vibes breakfast spot near Westerly. Food is yummy, not the best ever, but hits the spot and doesn't break the bank.

Yelp
Besides the amazing breakfast options, this spot is the place to be! Our hostess was so sweet and endearing, and most of all, super funny. We barely had a wait even though we walked in around 8:15 AM with the whole family of 4, maybe 2 additional sleepyheads joining later. I would like to share there's free parking available. I genuinely had a wonderful time here. Did I mention that it was our wedding anniversary! And this cafe made it even more awesome! :) I believe our waitress was so calm as my whole party agonized over the menu and needed time to peruse the many choices available. I loved the fact that the waitstaff patiently checked in to see if my family and I were enjoying ourselves. That was heart warming when they asked if we would like more coffee or any additional items. It felt like home, and it's no surprise that this restaurant/cafe had a huge community of regulars. And the food...how can I describe it? Big portions made with love. My hash browns felt like nostalgically good, crispy, crunchy goodness. It reminded of every time I begged my mom to buy us hash browns especially due to the high oil content/high satisfaction rating. The sausage was huge and juicy in my cooked goose platter. I loved it! There was so much cheese and avocado. It was delicious and so yummy. I had to take the hash browns to go. They were spicy tingly and flavorful! Our table was given a huge carafe of coffee...so another helping of kindness, so they let us decide how much caffeine we needed to function. Very subtle attention to detail. Also ketchup, srichrcha (spelling?) aioli, sugar options including substitutes, butter, half & half, all available for us. My visit was really an experience worth cherishing that heart just melted. I was already having a difficult morning, and it was so relaxing to see people just being patient and caring! I saw a gentleman to my right having a breakfast platter with his dog, some families with cute babies, and a friendly group of ladies happily speaking about a recent wedding they attended, so all in all, it just had a great vibe. I highly recommend this spot when you are in Westerly, Rhode Island!

Yelp
Excellent! I had a custom omelette, and everything I ate was great. Everyone with me enjoyed their meals, too. Very cute restaurant in a gorgeous part of town. Quick, friendly service.

Yelp
Should you find yourself in this area and are on the hunt for an early breakfast or leisurely lunch, do yourself the pleasure by coming to this cozy, yet sometimes very busy, spot. The vibe is coastal relaxed. Always greeted with a smile. The staff is friendly and accommodating. These folks work hard! The menu offers an array of traditional breakfast options, as well as creative hash or homefries skillets, lobster Benedict, and alternative options like dairy free milk and chicken rather than pork sausage. Relaxing interior dining as well as screened outdoor seating. Dog friendly! Ample Parking. They also stock a "ready to go" section which is perfect for a day at the beach, on the boat, at the park, with quiche, chicken cutlets, falafel, mayonnaise based salads, and baked goods, muffins. One of the most delicious cookies I've ever had is their AMAZING deep dark chocolate walnut soufflé cookie. It happens to be gluten-free but you would never know! I rarely comment about pricing. But we found the pricing for such flavorful and ample portions to be lower than average. Leaving you full and satisfied for a very reasonable price point.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot. Service was excellent- I especially loved a pot of coffee on the table. Homemade has was incredible as well as the Eggs Benedict and Omelet.
google avatar

Lydia M.

Yelp
Nice friendly staff. Our food came out quickly for them being so busy. We ordered two coffees and they brought us a thermos which was awesome, instead of having to wait for refills! The food was good. I got a hash brown skillet which was unique and pretty good. My husband got the hash and said it was good also.

Yelp
Great brunch spot on way to the lighthouse. Excellent food. Cute atmosphere. Great staff

Yelp

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast! We had a delicious Benedict and a two egg scrambled meal. Portions were generous and prices were fair. Atmosphere was great, nothing pretentious. Our server was amazing and the rest of the staff made sure we were well taken care of; definitely will be back!

Holly R.

Yelp
So much fun, delicious menu and great coffee! It's not just a tourist destination! Try it out yourself.

Yelp
It has become a must stop in my way from Philly to Boston Tried a few things on the menu and everything is excellent Clean and good service Food is consistently consistent Service is great Owners are always checking to maintain a high quality of food and service They even allow dogs on their outdoor patio
google avatar

Yelp
Great Breakfast or Brunch. They have mimosas! They also have the best key lime pie. We didn't try lunch but they have an array of sandwiches, salads and wraps. Also a large deli case of bakery goods. The cooked goose isn't far from Misquamicut and makes for a nice bike ride.
google avatar

Yelp
What a delightful place to enjoy breakfast! Good selection, amazing service and ambiance that entertains your eyes, what more could you ask!? Come here often and it will be a wonderful experience every time!

Yelp
Hi all sorry have not written anything for awhile. Went to The Cooked Goose today for lunch. Cute, clean and friendly. Food was very good, (I would have liked more sauerkraut on my Reuben). Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the Cooked Goose. Very relaxed atmosphere, sit outside on the covered patio and get a salad, never disappointed.

Yelp
We found this place on our drive out to Newport. It had delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads. We didn't try the desserts but they sounded yummy. I would recommend coming for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. The inside is cute and the waitstaff friendly. My husband said he had the best Cuban sandwich ever. That might be debatable but I'm glad he enjoyed his food.

Yelp
Everything is always delicious. The staff is wonderful. It can feel both bustling and cozy at the same time. Too many favorites to choose from, but now I really want a Capt Kirk wrap!! Plus, their Thanksgiving catering saves me hours every year and the cost is comparable to what I would spend shopping anyway. So good!
google avatar

Yelp
IT WAS AMAZING!!!! My daughter really wanted to go here since Taylor Swift has gone here and all the food was delicious, the service was excellent with very nice and caring staff, and it was a very cute and elegant restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Went there for breakfast. The service and food were both good. No complaints. Even had a slice of bread pudding that I took home and that was also good. I'd visit again.

Yelp
We stopped here coming out of Watchhill- so glad we did! The pear and blue cheese salad was OUTSTANDING and the French fries were so good too! The Turkey melt sandwich was not anything special, but still good. The waiter was friendly and our food came out in decent time, expected because they were busy. The outdoor front porch was a cute touch and allowed us to sit "outside." Overall defined recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I came to the Cooked Goose for lunch on a Sunday afternoon in December - definitely off peak for this town. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was recommended by server so I tried it! It was slightly disappointing. Calling it spicy was a little misleading - there wasn't any heat in the sauce. I wasn't a fan of the house-made kimchi that came on top of the sandwich either. It didn't feel authentic and lacked flavor. The restaurant gets 4 stars however because it has a really cute neighborhood vibe inside! Everyone was warm and friendly which goes a long way for me. The breakfast menu looked promising as well!
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. Omelettes were basically burnt. Way overpriced for breakfast especially for quality of food you receive. $70 for 2 adults and 2 kids is a bit much. Nothing impressive and super disappointing after seeing all the good reviews.
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
Solid food, a decent wait for 3 on a Sunday morning at 10 am. Pretty hefty, not going to lie, even just getting the small Mexican hash - soooo many potatoes. The latte here was delicious, the staff was friendly, and I can definitely see why this is a classic establishment in the Westerly area. I'd come back if in the area!

D P.

Yelp
Had lobster rolls which were huge. 6 oz of lobster meat with no filler. Very Delicious! Will be back for more next time we are in the area! Service great and nice people. Chowder very good also.

Yelp
I'm staying at the Ocean House hotel which has expensive awful tasting food. THANK YOU to the Cooked Goose for rescuing our taste buds and wallets! Everything was amazing - the eggs, pancakes, French toast, tartine...the orange juice was fresh squeezed. The home fries were well seasoned - they also had bagels and an assortment of baked goods. The baked goods were top shelf. We tried a chocolate chip cookie and coffee cake and split it up amongst the family. The t-shirts and sweatshirts were high quality - we grabbed a couple because they looked cool. Definitely eat here for breakfast or lunch in the Watch Hill area!

Yelp
The Cooked Goose has a nice brunch menu and also a deli counter for food to go. We arrived about 10:30 for Sunday brunch. Several folks were waiting to be seated and our wait was about 10 minutes. We wanted a Bloody Mary but they only had mimosas on the menu so we ordered them instead. For brunch we had biscuit and chicken sausage gravy with two eggs, breakfast tartine, and an omelette with rye toast. All came with home fries. The biscuits were grilled and had a nice outer crunch. The omelette was stuffed with goat cheese, spinach and sausage, it was delicious. The tartine was unusual but tasty, it consisted of Country wheat toast with 2 poached eggs, goat cheese, avocado, arugula, & tomato. We'll be back to try their lunch menu.

Yelp
It is not often that I give a five star rating. This is an exceptional breakfast and lunch restaurant deserving of such an accolade. The menu is diverse. Items like the hash, eggs Benedict gravy and bakery goods are made on location. Prices are proportionate to quality and portions served. It is a value to pay a couple bucks extra to enjoy better food then what is served at a typical run of the mill greasy spoon restaurant. The service was exceptional. The wait staff was attentive and efficient. The tables are disinfected between seatings. The restrooms appeared clean and tidy. The decor is upscale rustic country. I did not find the restaurant to be loud. Casual conversation can be enjoyed. There is ample seating outside in a closed in foyer while you wait for a table. You can enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee while doing so. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. This will be my local goto breakfast place. I am looking forward to exploring their diverse menu and delicious bakery goods.

Yelp
An absolute gem of place... We came for a quick lunch and loved every bit of it. My wife had the egg salad sandwich she was crazy about it especially liked the chutney. Had a great side salad. I had the grilled chicken club that was fantastic really fresh homemade chicken and well put together. Loved the sweet potato fries with great seasoning. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food came out promptly and well prepared. They had a lot of great looking cookies and sweets inside along with other items from potato salad two other delicious looking treats. I'm glad I got out of there before it was too late because I would probably eating there all day I will tell you we will eat here again.

Yelp
Everything about breakfast was perfect. Specialty pancake eggs omelettes toast coffee. All delicious. Waitresses top notch, even though she was juggling several tables I never went without a refill of the coffee or an inquiry about quality of our breakfast. The only problem we encountered was when shopping at the deli counter we purchased two items that never made it into the bag, didn't realize until we were already on the beach, confirmed they were on the receipt. Which was a shame we were looking forward to them (curry chicken salad and dill potato salad). But this was more of an inconvenience than an issue. They obviously catered to a large local customer base as reflected in their pricing. There was no artificially inflated prices found on the menu, perfect place for vacationing visitors to find a hot delicious breakfast. Highly recommended, I know I will return.

Yelp
Very good place. We sat outside and had a nice meal. I got the Cobb salad and my BF got the Turkey Melt. Both were outstanding. The salad had nice crispy bacon bits, nice chunks of grilled chicken and fresh vegetables. The sandwich was delicious, with a tasty sauce and great pieces of turkey and cheese. The service was prompt and friendly. Large selection of to go items inside the store.

Yelp
Love this place. Came twice. Wonderful food, staff and ambiance. Actually love this whole region

Yelp
We stopped in on our way home from CT. We wanted brunch but didn't make it in time. No worries they have a great lunch menu. If you don't want anything off the menu they have great food pre-made that you can buy to take with you. Loved the artwork on the walls. They are done by artist and you can by the artwork. They have outside seating for when the weather is nicer. It had a nice home feel to it.

Yelp
I would drive an hour from the top of Rhode Island to Westerly just to get breakfast here. Their almond croissant, salmon bagel, and avocado toast have been favorites of mine. Their selection is food is incredibly well crafted and the quality is supreme. It's a quaint and beautiful little place in a nice area - the only problem you'll encounter is finding parking or getting a table since they're so popular! Service is very quick, especially for how busy they are. If you're in a rush, you can order from the counter instead of sitting down - the food is just as good.

Yelp
Had the Cuban Sandwich , my date the cheeseburger. Both very good, service and decor also good. Rustic RI

Yelp
Our family and friends "go to" breakfast spot. Every time we have gone, CG never disappoints. Higher quality ingredients and selections with excellent service. We never have to wait long for our meal once ordered. However be prepared to wait 30 minutes on average to be seated in the summer months. Parking lot and side streets fill up FAST but IMO worth the wait each time!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Always delicious breakfast, can be a wait during summer months, it's always worth it. While I haven't picked up any lunch items, I've browsed the refrigerated premade foods, and it always looks delicious, can't wait to try! Waitresses are always very nice, helpful and pleasant.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. Loved it here. Wonderful atmosphere and the food was good. Everyone enjoyed it. However my favorite was the key lime pie. I want more. Should have taken a pie home!!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a work trip and was not disappointed. Placed was packed so we sat at the counter area. Service was fantastic and with a smile. Had the Veggie deluxe wrap- very tasty. Coworkers had hamburgers and spicy chicken, they were also pleased. However the highlight was the strawberry shortcake dessert- excellent. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you in the area

Timothy H.

Yelp
Our family went at 12pm for lunch to beat any lunch crowds. We were told there would be a half hour wait. For some strange reason they had to wait until every breakfast ticket was done before they'd turn over for lunch. We didn't have food at our table until 1:30pm. The restaurant was basically empty while we waited for the last 3 breakfast tickets to be done before we were sat. We will never go back again. Food was fine but not worth an hour and half wait for lunch.
google avatar

Deb G.

Yelp
Everything about this cozy eatery is great! Starting with our server Julia who was very courteous and prompt. The menu is challenging because absolutely everything is beyond delicious. My husband and I both opted for the Reuben since it had rave reviews. It did not disappoint. So tender and flavorful! The owner stopped by to chat and was most gracious. All and all it is worth the trip to come back!
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
Always great food and service We have never been disappointed the atmosphere is awesome and the owners are actively involved in day-to-day operation
google avatar

Yelp
Very good food, ultra friendly and attentive staff, and fun atmosphere. The wait on the weekend was very long, so be prepared! It's worth the wait though.

Yelp
My daughter and wife took me out for a birthday breakfast. What a home run! The Cooked Goose was a charming family restaurant with very accommodating and friendly staff. Thank you all for an amazing breakfast experience. The eggs were perfectly poached and the eggs Benedict varieties were abundant. Choose wisely! Coffee was excellent too. The oatmeal toffee cookie was another birthday surprise. Thank you! I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
Always good breakfast and takeaway sandwiches. There's a filet mignon sandwich that's particularly good.
