The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Albuquerque, New Mexico - AFAR

"A queer‑friendly, speakeasy‑style bar with a signature copper ceiling, creative cocktails (examples include a pineapple‑mezcal‑ginger drink and a whisky/bourbon blend with lemon), small bites such as Sonoran dogs and elote, and a cozy lounge area where old film screenings sometimes play." - Aislyn Greene

If you're looking for a nice romantic quiet atmosphere this is the place. Great for a first date or just to sip & chill. The service is excellent and friendly, expertise is cocktails. I have not tried their food but will soon. Right next door is a more lively vibe with great music. This place is my first choice before anywhere else.

Way too LOUD and way too EXPENSIVE. Take your earplugs and prepare to sit in silence, you won't be able to talk to your friends. The walls were vibrating they had the music up so loud. You guaranteed will take on irreversible hearing loss. This is not something to mess around with, your hearing doesn't heal, it's damage for life. If the blaring speakers hurt your ears, you are taking on permanent hearing loss. This overly expensive place is NOT worth it. Go somewhere where you can actually talk to and hear your friends. Find a place where you can get a cocktail that is not a skinny glass, filled heaping with ice, and only about 1/8 a cup of liquid, that you have to pay $16 or more dollars for. PLUS an automatic 20% tip on your check, even just for 2 people! If you feel the tip should be different, you will have to "make a scene" to get it removed, which no one wants to do when they are trying to have a nice night out, and that's exactly why Copper does it. Tips are supposed to be optional and up to the customer to judge based on the service!

We had a ladies' night. The food was minimal selection, but the drink menu was huge. The michelada was good. The queso was hot and super delicious 😋

Amazing cocktails. Very creative menu. Nothing is batched. The Kentucky ninja was my favorite along with the mika that has sparkling sake in there. The atmosphere is super classy and polished. Quite impressed considering I walked passed 6 homeless people and someone smoking meth while on my way to from the Andaluz hotel. Def take an Uber/lyft to come here!

If I could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would. I have been a guest at this lounge 2 times, and each time I had the worst experience ever. I didn't catch the bartenders name, but he is tall and bald and has a beard. I am a native Texan with a thick southern draw, this bartender mocked my accent with his co worker literally right in front of me, and doing so, insulted my intelligence. The second time, he was extremely rude, I asked to buy a bottle and he said they really don't do that, I ordered a drink he didn't even make it and I just ended up leaving. He has absolutely no business being in the service industry, and needs a serious attitude adjustment.

Very comprehensive drink menu! We ended up trying two of the cocktails, “it’s a party” (pictured in the front) and “sweet life”. “It’s a party” had a very unique taste, I didn’t quite like how much green food coloring had settled at the bottom but I enjoyed the tartness. “Sweet life”’s not quite as fruity as I expected, I look forward to trying more drinks on the menu. The atmosphere and decor inside is lovely—dark and vintage. Service was wonderful as well. Overall a very charming place, I would recommend coming here!

The best place in Albuquerque! Staff was great , very respectful they pay attention to the service. I got the mussels great! Nachos amazing! The birria tacos good as well! The place really calm and great environment. I don’t drink but I used too and wanted to have a mixed drink do to the vive of the place. So I asked for a drink with no alcohol. The girl with green hair super nice the drink was really good ! Something with coconut and lime it looked green! Recommend place!
