Fantastic restaurant and bar, always enjoy the food and drinks here. They have mattered a beautiful balance of a neighborhood spot with an upscale vibe. Food is excellent, always have their standards (48 hour fries might be the best ever), but they always are changing and improving their seasonal dishes. Drinks are creative and delicious. Tangerine gimlet is my favorite. You do not be disappointed.

Google
I had high hopes for this place but was sadly let down. We seen our server twice in 1.5hrs, another server had to take over at that point as he was still MIA. Our drinks were constantly left empty no server in sight and they forgot to put our entree order in. I asked for the tacos with no cheese and they came with cheese, that was another wait…. They need to hire more staff. Every table seemed to be complaining about the same thing and dealing with lengthy weights for drinks or food. Way overpriced for the quality, atmosphere and service you get.

Google
First time here with dinner friends, it was nice, it's dimlighted and pretty spacious. We had the 48hr fries and bacon wrapped dates, they were good. I had the backyard burger which is cooked medium although I asked for medium well. It was still tasty. Then we order all 3 desserts and shared, those were yummy as well. The food didn't take that long to come out and the portions were good. I would go again.

Google
Absolutely amazing! This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be returning. I loved everything from the appetizers to the main course and drinks. The 48 hour fries were simply mouthwatering and the tuna tartare tostadas delectable. Highly recommend!

Google
A great place to eat if you want to spend a little bit more for high quality food and nice ambiance. Black leather booths and a candlelit atmosphere sets for a nice dinner date. Definitely recommend getting the 48 hour fries!

Google
I love the corner for it's food and staff. I always get the bacon wrapped, blue cheese stuffed dates. There are many good entrees to choose from. Between the Cube steak or the seared ahi tuna it's difficult to choose just one. There are several drinks to choose from and the bartender has even made drinks off the menu for us. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I have never had bad experience here. Great for date night or just a get together with friends.

Google
Delicious food, great drinks, feels upscale but also cozy inside. Service was great! Their Korean BBQ Chicken wraps was delightful. Their Deviled Eggs are some of the best I’ve ever had. Their fries are the best fries EVER. Cocktails are fantastic. Great spot for a date!

Google
Can't speak about the food since I did a delivery. You guys might need to have 2 hosts. Maybe the host was off? Must have waited 10 minutes or more to be acknowledged. I was able to pick up another order, came back, and still waited another 10 minutes. Bartender was not very helpful, basically said go sit down and wait. I wish restaurant staff would be trained that the driver is just their customer's representative. If you mistreat drivers, it's the same as mistreating a customer in your table or booth. Often, drivers have 2 orders, so delays affect both customers.

Yelp
The food and service here is most definitely 5 star all the way! Not just saying this but the food really is phenomenal and different than other eats. You HAVE TO try them. First their cocktails are amazing and delicious!Balanced and well made. The bartenders know how to make a balanced and delicious cocktail. I got the Paperplane! Best one I've had yet. Food was superb. We started with the Tuna Tartar with Cilantro on top. A very delicious appetizer to start with. Loved every bite. One of the best Tuna Tar Tar apps I've ever had. We then got the Shrimp salad. I know I sounds like a broken record but this salad was also super on point. Amazing tasting dressing. Fresh crispy lettuce. I then got the Halibut. Superb! Hot, fresh and great sauce that came along with it. Very filling and healthy. GF got the steak. She doesn't eat steak very often. BUT WHEN SHE DOES she always gets it from here. I took a few bites and it was on point. The Steak and Augratin potatoes were fire. Loved everything about this place. Highly recommend the food here. Can't go wrong!

Yelp
Interesting spot. Some dishes were great, some were lackluster. Fries - 4/5 Crispy on the outside, fluffy potato on the inside. Sauce was very basic. I'd love to see a Dutch style mayo instead of the aioli they provided. Bacon Wrapped Dates - 4/5 Lots of bacon and more savory than sweet. I prefer my bacon crispier, but would order this again. Tomato Avocado Salad - 2.5/5 Too much cilantro!!! Balance was off. Normally I devour these kinds of salads but this was a miss. Short Ribs - 5/5 Solid rendition of the dish. Hearty and flavorful. Lemon Butter Chicken - 3/5 Boring and bland. This dish needs better accoutrements. Brown Butter Cake - 2/5 Not what I was expecting at all. The "butter cake" reminded me of an old fashioned donut. I love old fashioned donuts, but the sauce made this dish is insanely sweet.

Yelp
Had dinner here to celebrate a Gender Reveal party. Ordered adult beverages, appetizers and entrees. Steak, Chicken, Halibut are the main entrees being presented on the main dinner menu. Received our meals in a timely manner. 5 stars for the customer service received. Our server had consistent communication with us, always checking up on us while we dined. The drinks were delicious but the main entrees were a bit salty and the portions size did not justify the prices being sold for. I was confused if this is supposed to be a fine dining place or a casual dining place due to dinner prices on the menu. Overall The ambiance is great. I would come here again. We had fun. In regards to the taste, I will give it another try with a different chef on board. Cool intimate place to chill.

Yelp
So, I went here because I heard they had good burgers, I thought it would be a regular bar kind of place. I was wowed, the interior of the place is really cool. I was impressed by the liquor line up and the upscale drinks. Turned out they were amazing. Drinks totally on point! On to the food. I have a lot of experience in culinary and I'm quite picky. Came for the burger however even though there's an impressive menu. We had the burger and 48 hr fries. Both were perfect, the burger a perfect blending of ingredients to make a taste explosion without being overwhelming. The fries a perfect mix of crispy and salty perfection. Homemade ketchup very good. Then on to dessert, we got the lemon crème brûlée. Ok folks I am the biggest crème brûlée snob. It was perfect, the texture perfect the crack of the sugar perfect, topped with a fresh whipped cream . The lemon just the perfect essence of it. I've got to say, I've really been missing out on this place which is literally on the corner so close to us. I will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. Drink menu too. The price was quite reasonable for the quality of food and drinks. Do not miss out on this gem.

Yelp
Criminally under rated. My favorite equivalent spot is a 4.7 on Yelp. One of my top 3 or 5 in the oc. A spot I recommend to people and they also are impressed! Everything is amazing and keeps surprising me. Appetizers, always. Too many good things to try!

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick pre-dinner drink and were warmly greeted by Nick, the bartender, whose hospitality set the tone for a great experience. He mixed us two perfectly balanced French 75s. The flavor was crisp, refreshing, and clearly made with care. The intimate space, with its artsy decor and moody lighting, had an unexpectedly welcoming atmosphere, thanks to both the friendly staff and laid-back clientele. While we didn't sample the food this time, we'll happily return for another round before sushi. If the cocktails are any sign, the food is likely just as impressive.

Yelp
While heading home to beat the traffic yet hoping to find a place for a late lunch we discovered The Corner. Hoping for something tasty we went with an open mind. We were very happy with our discovery. Not only was our server friendly, he was happy to share his knowledge of the menu making our choices very easy. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. A great find and unexpected delight.

Yelp
Solid spot every time , patience is rewarded. I've never had a bad bite it's definitely closer to 5 than 4

Yelp
Short ribs tacos are so tasty! The 48 hours fries are also a good dish to share! Plain French fries that are just good and perfectly air fry. Had a chance to try the steak tonight and that was perfectly cooked and well flavored! Delicious! The old fashion is good- if it's your drink come try it here! They do make a few other old fashion with a twist and those are fun too. The decore is so cute! There is a bar side with TV and bar stools and there is a sit down side for date nights and family. They also have outdoor seating. This place is a gem! The staff is also wonderful which always makes the dining experience that MUCH better. Plenty of parking outside.

Yelp
This will be short. Haven't been here for a decade. A decade! Love the fact that this place hasn't changed one bit - for the better (best). My wife and I came here to take a trip down memory lane for the nostalgia. This place is a gem, and we are happy to see it still thriving. Chris, if you see this message, the good ol Edison crew misses you!

Lucas S.

Yelp
This has been my favorite spot for the last 6 years. Amazing food and drinks. The ambiance should not be judged before trying the menu. Chris always outdoes himself seasonally.

Yelp
Corner never disappoints. Always great food, awesome drinks, nice vibe and good service. I like their salads, sometimes strange (and questionable combinations, who would think about those?) but they are heavenly good. Family friendly.
google avatar

Alex A.

Yelp
Big bummer. Came here tonight thinking it wouldn't be too crowded with the holiday. It took over 10 minutes for anyone to even notice us to tell us there was a 45 min wait. Totally get things happen and we will try again with a reservation, but there should be a better system to let people know if you're not going to have someone at the host stand. Ambiance seemed lovely.

Yelp
I have visited The Corner frequently over the past decade and it continues to impress where other restaurants have failed as they age. Food quality has remained high, service remains stellar and the drinks are as good as ever. Perhaps this is a function of the owner not only remaining the constant, but also being involved behind the bar, in the kitchen, etc. Food wise, the menu is a mix of rotating seasonal items and several mainstays which have remained on the menu over the years. It's a great mix of something new when I'm feeling adventurous and the comfort of the items I know when I just want a good meal. Everything is made from scratch and with love. A couple favorites are the short rib tacos, ahi tostadas, burger and bacon wrapped dates. Drinks are great and super crafty - all the mixers are made in-house from what I can tell and the selection of booze is second to none. Prices have increased slightly, but still full below what I'd be paying elsewhere. Good beers on rotation as well. My favorites are the Old Fashioned and Clockwork Orange. Atmosphere is a mix between a trendy craft bar on one side and an intimate dining experience on the other. Can get a bit noisy at times, but I don't mind. There are a lot of places that talk about food quality and making things from scratch, but over time they will give way to profit margin and market pressure. From what I can tell, the owner at The Corner has stayed true to his mission from day one and continues to pump out scratch made good and craft cocktails at a reasonable price.

Yelp
As usual the 48hr Fries are phenomenal. Crispy and airy. Properly salted. Excellent dips. The Tuna Tartare Tostadas were very flavorful and even had a hint of lime. They were served on fresh crispy tortillas. The Hand Cut Saffron Linguini was good but it could have been cooked a bit longer as it was rather al dente. It also could have benefited from a splash of cream which would have complimented the crab. The Brown Sugar Buttercake was amazing and definitely in my Top 3, which includes Mastro's and Eddie V's. It comes with an incredible Maple Bourbon Glaze. Nice drink menu and full bar. No corkage fee if you'd like to bring your own bottle of wine.

Yelp
AMAZING food, service and great ambiance. The fries are the best we've ever had! Very creative and tasty choices throughout the menu! The drinks are delicious too!
google avatar

Yelp
How is there not a line out of this restaurant's door? The 48 hour fries, tacos (hubby gets short rib, I get mashed potato), and salads are all delicious.

Yelp
Awesome service by Patrick. We celebrated a birthday with 18 of us. Delicious food and awesome service. Thank you Patrick

Yelp
The best local HB restaurant! Food is fresh creative and delicious drinks are great too!

Yelp
This place has been around for awhile and it seems to get better and better each time I go. We had the Bacon Wrapped Dates, Charcuterie Plate, Everything Tacos, 48hr Fries, and the Twice Baked Potato and everything was delicious. If I had to pick one thing to get every time it would be a tie between the Bacon Wrapped Dates and the Everything Tacos (short rib and potato taco combined). Service was awesome and our waiter was very attentive to our need but no overbearing. Ambiance is very laid back and mellow. We will definitely be back. Side note: they have a really fun cocktail menu and I highly recommend their old fashioned.
google avatar

Stanley R.

Yelp
This is my cozy, neighborhood, "watering hole." They also have a fabulous menu of tasty dishes to eat with your cocktails. The short rib tacos are delish. The twice cooked fries are as good as you can find anywhere else. Their butter cake desert is so scrumptious that I have dreamed about it. My favorite cocktail is the Mandarin Gimlet. I have never had another that can equal this legendary libation. The service is just wonderful and friendly. We celebrated New Years Eve here last year and they had wonderful balloon decorations and a Prix Fixe menu that was out of this world. That reminds me I better make reservations for this year!
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Some of the best food. Great burgers , fantastic fries, the gnocchi is some of the best I have had. I rarely go in so I could not tell you about the service or ambience.
google avatar

Sonia N.

Yelp
Best food in a nice calm atmosphere. My friend who I don't get to see often met me there and we were able to have great conversation with great food at a decent price! The service was excellent- our food came it quick and fresh at the right temperature. We will definitely go there again.
google avatar

Jeremiah S.

Yelp
Always great cocktails! The old fashioned is always the go to for my wife and I. Chris is always cranking out a fantastic seasonal menu. Amazing flavor and mouth watering goodness is always flowing out of the kitchen. The short rib is delicious, everything tacos (not on menu) are perfect, the backyard burger is savory, and the halibut (when on the menu) is fantastic. You can't go wrong with the deviled eggs (get a side of Sriracha to go with) as an appetizer or the 48 hour fries. Truthfully, it's all good. Great spot, we go a couple times a month.
google avatar

Rob W.

Yelp
This place has been here for a minute or two. Sadly, it's my first time eating here, even though I've lived in HB forever. We do a wine dinner once a month, and a friend of mine picked this restaurant . It's a small little place but has a great dinner crowd, and the bar was packed. We started off lots of appetizers including deviled eggs, bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese, shishito peppers and 48 hour fries. Everything was delicious. I got the ahi with bok choy. It was seared med rare. The wines we drank worked well with the meal. Looking forward to trying something new the next visit.

Yelp
I have been coming to The Corner for years and love everything about it. We are so lucky to have Chris's wonderful touch and ever changing menu (and craft cocktails) here at the corner of Magnolia and Adams. When you're here, don't forget to look up

Michelle S.

Yelp
Decided to try a quick meal here before the basketball game. The ambiance was kind of boring, but as long as the food is good it's ok. We ordered the $16 bowl of chowder to share and the pulled pork tacos. A huge bowl arrived with barely any soup or fish in it. Literally just enough to coat the bottom of the bowl. potatoes were hard. Such a disappointment at that price. Tacos were ok, but not something I'd order again. Service was ok, but sorta robotic. I wanted to love this place because it's close to our new home.
google avatar

Lacey M.

Yelp
only writing a review because of the current 3.9 stars when they absolutely deserve at least a 4.5. we came here one night when we had to wait for sushi at the spot in the lot and now crave this place regularly. I think we've tried most if not all the appetizers including the 48 hour fries, chips and dip, deviled eggs, tuna tartare, tostadas, and bacon wrap dates. The dates while a common place that many restaurants are so good here for really what stands out is the deviled eggs with the crab. When it comes to entrées, we order the halibut every time, the celeriac purée is so good it will have you licking the plate. Desserts and drinks are also incredible here just truly can't go wrong

Yelp
I'm so confused by this place! Is it a bar or a quality restaurant??? I just can't tell. The Corner is seemingly the love child of a seedy neighborhood bar and an upscale, trendy restaurant. It just doesn't make sense. I've heard for a while now that this place was really good so we came for a late lunch. It was a Friday afternoon at around 2:30pm. The restaurant was empty. The parking lot was empty. I guess this place really is more bar and less food. Who knows. The place is kinda run down and a little grimy. There was empty table near by that was never bussed the entire time we were there. The restroom wasn't that clean. But... But... the food is legit gourmet, farm to table cuisine. The red wine braised short rib was amazing. The sauce is the key! The beef was tender and flakey and it was the sort of meal I'd expect at a 5 star restaurant. The tuna tartar was fresh and the sauce was delicious. Here are my ratings for The Corner! Short Rib: 5 stars Tuna Tartar: 4 stars French Fries: 3 stars Service: 4 (our server was great but we were the only ones there and our food took forever) Decor: 2 stars I don't think I'll come back because dining is an entire experience. And The Corner really lacked the ambience to support it's gourmet menu.

Yelp
This is, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Huntington Beach. Each and every time I visit I am astonished by the quality of the food on the menu. The service is quick and attentive, and while often well-attended, it never feels overcrowded or hectic. This is a hidden gem in a busy city rife with good places to eat. Make The Corner a priority!
google avatar

Rita Z.

Yelp
Fantastic in every way! So many choices and all clearly labeled with ingredients used and if it's Veg, GF, vegan etc. loved everything we tried. French fries, stuffed dates and short rib entree!
google avatar

jennifer r.

Yelp
Finally made it here and at first, we thought it was closed, the parking lot was empty. This was around 2 o'clock on a Saturday, so perhaps we missed the lunch crowd. While we really enjoyed the food and the service, it would be nice if they could make the main dining room and bathroom more pleasant. I felt like we were in a garage. Next time, we will go and sit in the bar.
google avatar

Yelp
I met my birth Dad and half sister! I know this seems unrelated but it's not. They flew into SNA on the last flight of the evening and were starved. I wanted to impress them but also be close to home but nothing was open! Dang sleepy town of HB. But The Corner was so we got there and ordered some drinks and food. Quotes of the night: "Fancy" - my birth dad. "I want to go to the beach tomorrow" - my half sister "This is walking distance from my house!" - me Food was delicious. Server was charming. And I impressed my (other) dad.

Yelp
Get the 48 hour fries!!! My husband and I have eaten here at least 5 times now. I can't believe we didn't have the fries before our 4th visit. We will definitely get them every time now!!! Love the many gluten free options on the menu (including the fries!). We are obsessed with the tuna tartare tostadas, Korean bbq chicken, and now the short rib! Local place owned by very nice local people. Bathroom has always been in good shape. Drinks have all been delicious-my husband likes the tangerine gimlet.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
My guy and I were at an amazing wine pairing lunch at Somm's Kitchen in Paso and when one of the other patrons found out we lived in OC, they asked if we'd ever been to The Corner. These 'foodies' told us that they come here EVERY single time they visit OC, and we didn't even know about it! The food is excellent with a diverse menu- tho only problem is that I wanted one of everything! My friend got the seared ahi over veggies and I'm totally getting that next time. I loved the lettuce cups, the burger was fab and I can't wait to come back to try more. Leave it to fellow foodies to scoop us on a place that's 10 minutes from our house!
google avatar

Yelp
This place confused me. Food was outstanding and unique. Everything else was lacking. Slow service. Really bland boring ambiance. Not inviting. Loud. Dirty bathrooms. Come for the yummy food but sit outside to avoid the noise and lack of atmosphere. And definitely don't be in a hurry!
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
Patrick was the best server, we had a big group, and he did a great job! Food was good.

Yelp
We really love the unique menu and the cozy and fry atmosphere at "The Corner"! We are crazy for their Potato Tacos and their 48 Hour Fry's are to die for! Our Waiter/Bar Tender was delightful and we will be going back soon when we are back in Huntington Beach!!

Erin M.

Yelp
My husband loves the potato tacos. I enjoy the chicken plate as well as some other dishes. Food is always tasty. The service is always good and the restaurant has a nice vibe.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Outstanding food m, drinks and service! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

Katie P.

Yelp
Absolutely awesome. You can't pick a single under par item on the menu. It is excellent fine dining and great value. My new favorite place to eat and drink :)

Porfirio R.

Yelp
Shortrib, garlic chicken, and block cut steak are always a flavor bomb. Try the house-made chips sprinkled with Parmesan and accompanied with sour cream for a tasty old school orderb. Tangerine gimlet and hayabasu lager go well together; their menu cocktails do not disappoint. For desert, all three items are tasty, choice depends are your palette's mood. Prices are very reasonable for a chef's menu. Ambiance is cozy and gently vibes during peak times. Service... the best cuz they are attentive even when they get busy.
google avatar

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Great local spot with fresh and delicious food. There's an ample small plates selection along with a nice choice of mains. The 48 hr fries are perfect and everything tasted great. The deviled eggs were a tad salty. I loved the tangerine gimlet! The service was very good
google avatar

Blaine P.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem, I highly recommend giving it a try. I love the GF tacos, could eat these every week, never get sick of them. We also love the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers topped with breadcrumbs. Don't forget to save space for the delicious butter cake dessert with vanilla ice cream, it's to die for.

Yelp
Not sure where to start. The exterior decor is very modern and chic; however, interior is bland. I'm unsure if this is supposed to be a high end or casual restaurant. Their menu is very simple-not much option. Ordered the burger, cheese board, and BBQ chicken. Burger is my favorite. Why the two stars - well for one the cheeseboard - the cheese was stale and old, the corner of the cheese were hard and brittle. Honestly, it sneed everyone on the board came from trader joes or Costco-nothing significant-maybe that's why the price is so reasonable. Two, it took forever for the food to arrive. Our beer came out 20 minutes before the cheeseboard arrived. Worst, they forgot our utensils. But the finale was the BBQ chicken, we waited so long, we even asked to cancel the order; of course, within minutes, they came out with it and said "worry kitchen was done with it". Upon using the lettuce to wrap the chicken, we found dirt (a lot of it) on all of our lettuces; they didn't even wash it. At this point, we lost our appetite. The service was horrible, we had to get up to hustle someone to come over. Not sure if it's because we were sitting outdoor, rather than inside.

Robin L.

Yelp
We started with 2 appetizers for the 4 of us... housemade potato chips and French onion dip and their amazing French fries. They both melted in our mouths.... the lightest chips I've ever had and super delicious french fries served with ketchup and a chipotle dipping sauce. The cocktails were also excellent. I had the antioxidant intoxicant. We had a bunch of shareables for dinner... fish tacos, gnocchi Mac and chz, the apple, goat cheese , and radicchio salad with the divine walnut vinaigrette , short rib tacos and potato tacos.... It was all fantastic. And being served by he owner... the best!!

Bruce D.

Yelp
Food has always been very tasty and nicely presented-tonight had the braised short ribs and the butter cake, loved both!

Yelp
Hidden gem! Cocktails, food, service... wow! I cannot wait to be back. Order the everything taco, it's not on the menu but trust me, it won't disappoint. Also friends are MUST have!
