The Corner of Kavalaris

We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal here during our March trip. We were able to get a table right away. We ordered a few too many things, each of which was enjoyable, though the Kavalaris salad was a definitely highlight for me. Would definitely return here again, with no hesitations.

Charming restaurant with a medium sized patio covered in with a glass wall to keep the rain and cold out and a indoor dining area. It was a cold rainy evening in early spring. They had the heaters off which made it a bit cold but not terribly uncomfortable. The heat would have made it perfect. Small tapas sized plates and a nice wine menu. A 500ml carafe of wine was only €4. We ordered 6 dishes between the 3 of us and were stuffed. The food was all excellent and we enjoyed everything. The service was prompt and pleasant even though they were quite busy. Highly recommended and would visit again just to try out the other food on the menu.

Everything was just perfect – food, service, atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend this place!

We had a terrific time there. It's accessible. It's not easy to find a table, but it's worth the trouble. Good taste, good prices, and a pleasant atmosphere.

MUST TRY!!!! Pork Kontosouvli was the absolute best. The photo doesn't even do it justice. The tzatziki was incredible as well.

This restaurant is one of the best in the old-town pedestrial road of Nauplio!! It takes place behind the old square of Syntagmatos!! The waiter welcomed you with a smile and was so polite!! Catalog has a lot of options and a variety of dishes (meat/veggies/fish/salates and more). For our lunch we ordered a "koukouvagia" salad (like greek ntakos), mushrooms with cheese and bacon inside, aubergine with cheese fantastic! And final as main dishes porn and steak with potatoes and mashed potatoes!! The quality of our dishes and quantity was perfect for 2 people (always in addition with their prize)!! At the end we hoped to serve dessert or fruit but we were disappointed... In general the place totally deserves a 5-star review!! Totally Recommended!! :)

4.5 stars Kavalaris’ Corner offers a menu of Greek small plates and grilled items meant for sharing and pairing with drinks. One of my favorite dishes was the Koukouvagia Salad, made of a dry Cretan rusk topped with tomatoes, feta cheese mousse, olives, and capers. My favorite part was the creamy feta cheese mousse, which paired nicely with the moistened rusk and tomatoes. From the selection of dips, the Favosalata was made of yellow split peas puréed with garlic and topped with capers, spring onions, and olive oil. The Grilled Smoked Mackerel was an oily, meaty, and very salty mackerel fillet served with red onions and lemon. Finally, we had the Pork Kontosouvli, which was perhaps the best value dish. This came with huge chunks of juicy marinaded pork grilled on a skewer and served with fried potatoes, pita, raw tomatoes/onions, and a garlicky tzatziki. The meat was flavorful, nicely grilled, and paired well with the other components of the plate. Overall, the food here was tasty and affordable though on the salty side—no wonder that the drinks were plentiful too!

Nice place with food that sometimes is great and sometimes just ok... We had: Zucchini balls - great! Teriyaki Tenderloin - very nice Stuffed mushrooms - very nice Eggplant rolls - ok Stuffed Fig - wasn’t stuffed at all. Was warped with bacon and cheese so the actual fig was sweet and didn’t feel special. Kanelonia - like cannelloni rolls with cheese. Was just ok. Chicken fillet- nice and tender! Overall a nice experience 🙂
