The staff are what makes this a very good hotel - universally helpful and very friendly.|Our room was on the second floor and quite a hike from reception, the bar and dining room. There is a lift but there are also several more flights of steps to the second floor - not too bad if you are on the first floor. The corridors are also very long if you are at the end of them. Our room had a full length window and balcony. This has pros and cons. In the recent heat, it turned the room into a greenhouse. Most evenings our neighbours on one side or the other were smoking so it wasn't comfortable to sit outside. The air conditioning provided respite but took some time to cool the rather large room (which in less hot weather would just be considered comfortable and spacious). The corridors, rooms and balconies looked in need of refurbishment and indeed a new carpet was being fitted when we stayed.|The food was perfectly acceptable but the choices in the bar were very limited. Be aware that as with most places a 10% service charge applies (optional) in the restaurant. It was lovely to sit on the hotel terrace and enjoy the evening sunshine with a cold drink. The hotel is set away from the main road in its own grounds and is fairly peaceful but this is not a vast country estate and homes are being built close by, although we did not notice any noise from there when we stayed.|On a secret escapes deal we thought our stay was priced correctly but would probably find the full price prohibitively expensive. If we were in Cornwall we would certainly go back to this hotel but after our journey from hell back home, it's unlikely we'll be chancing the A303 or the M5 for a good while!

We booked for 1 night, used the spa facilities, had a treatment and an afternoon tea. The spa facilities are ok, a little tired in places but the staff on reception were very friendly. I've had a treatment here before and it didn't disappoint. The afternoon tea however was a let down, being one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, having had an afternoon tea last year, it has been scaled back quite considerably. Lat year it had the wow factor with the added chips and fish on a stick, and 2 scones each. This time there fish and chips were gone from the menu, 1 scone each and the quality was outstanding, such a shame as it was so different from anywhere else serving afternoon tea, now it's just the same as everywhere else. The hotel room was nice, clean and well equipped, although it would have been nice to have a coffee pod machine as it was their 'superior' room. It was quite odd having the bath and shower behind the bed! As other guests have commented the balcony needed a good overhaul, even a sweep would have helped. We were near the far end from reception and it was a bit of a hike to the room, lots of noise and banging around from the guests above, but generally the hotel was quiet and staff were helpful. Breakfast was good, there was a decent choice of both cooked and continental options. Our room cost us £222 for the night including breakfast which I think is overpriced for the product so wouldn't stay again.

We stayed here for one night as we were going to see Gary Barlow at the Eden Project. The hotel is 10-15 minutes away so really convenient but what a fab friendly hotel this is. All the stay were extremely friendly - shout out to Emma and Alfie. We arrived a bit early to check in but Emma sorted our bags and pointed out the restaurant/ bar area. She also organised our taxi for the evening - nothing was too much trouble. The gardens are lovely with a range of games to play - we enjoyed the croquet. We were spoilt by the lovely weather too and enjoyed a bottle of champagne and charcuterie board. We then had some massages and enjoyed the pool and spa facilities - all fantastic and the spa had a really reasonable priced range of products. Super friendly and great hotel! Thank you

From the minute we arrived Lauren made our stay special. Unfortunately the lift in the spa had broken down and everyone went above and beyond to help my husband access the pool during our stay. The staff in all areas were pleasant , attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was bright, spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were perfect. We will definitely be back !

I brought my 9 year old daughter for a half term stay. It was just fantastic!! I was so sad to leave. We got a terrific dinner bed and breakfast deal. The staff really took care of us. My daughter loved the pool. I had an amazing healing massage. Booking here was the best thing I have done in ages! Can't wait to come back!

Just returned from a wonderful break at the Cornwall hotel and spa , friendly and helpful staff , a room with a view over the lawn and a beautiful pool and spa .|Breakfast was good and well run and plenty of choice , the evening bar menu was good quality but I would have liked a bit more choice of small plates and healthier options .|The hotel is in a good location and we enjoyed visiting the Eden Project, Charlestown and the Lost Gardens of Heligan as well as Mevagissey , all within. 20 minutes .|We stayed for four days and thoroughly enjoyed out break and will return.

I had a lovely surprise from my daughter with a stay at The Cornwall Hotel and Spa. The room was huge and the grounds are beautiful. We had a great time in the spa, the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi was much needed after a day out exploring. The two course meal and breakfast in the morning were excellent. Thanks for a great stay 😊

Yelp
The most delightful experience in Cornwall with absolutely detailed, professional customer service, beautifully appointed accommodations and gathering areas like the tea room, bar area, dining rooms. Kudos to Darrel, Jenn and Vicky at the reception desk and to Steve, the restaurant manager, who was ever so attentive, gracious and made each breakfast( included with your stay!), dinner and High Tea meals such memorable experiences for us. The surrounding, spacious gardens and walkways are stunning and there is a full service spa in the hotel also!

Yelp
This place was super cute. Only draw back is that the beds are super soft. My back and neck are killing me even after getting a massage, bummer.
