It is impossible to reach this hotel by phone. We called several times in the morning before our arrival and every single time it went to voicemail. Not a promising start. The spa facilities looked good but unfortunately we didn't have time to use them. The treatment (massage and facial) was great and we were well looked after. The restaurant was a big let down. The dinner was overpriced, small portions with mediocre food. I'm fairly sure the lamb main was a few days old leftover. The breakfast staff was not particularly attentive. It took us about five minutes to find someone to take our order. The manager passed by so we asked if we could order our food. She seemingly found it below her level to take our order and answered in a cold way with a fake smile (like it was a Mean Girls movie scene). Overall it was a nice stay but I don't think I'd stay here again.

Our fourth or possibly even fifth visit to this beautiful hotel. We really enjoyed our trip the first time with our young family and dog. Everyone very friendly and helpful, the room was beautifully clean, tidy and spacious.|The location is great for exploring local attractions but also a peaceful haven to get away from the hustle and bustle when needed. |We particularly enjoyed the spa pool and visited each day with our daughters. The massages were also very good we both thoroughly enjoyed. We only have good things to say about the hotel, staff and our stay.

We went to the Cornwall Hotel and Spa for a locals afternoon tea.|We had a few complex allergy requirements which the chef and especially our server Craig, dealt with, with kindness, respect and care. We were all delighted with our experience and the food was delicious. We would especially like to say a big thank you to Craig, who was so helpful and considerate to our needs. His humour made us feel like our requirements were no problem for him or the hotel at all. Thank you Craig and all the staff at the hotel. We will be recommending the Hotel to everyone we know.

We booked a weekend stay for our anniversary via Secret Escapes and boy was this such a great find. Stunning food both evenings and a really good breakfast each morning. The room (superior) was brilliant with plenty of space and comfy bed. The TV could have been a tiny bit bigger, only due to the size of the room. The Spa and Pool were amazing, very chilled! All staff we met were very friendly and very accommodating. Ideal location for Charlestown, Eden Project, Mevagissey, Truro and St Austell. We will definitely be back.

We booked a locals spa day and were really looking forward to using the facilities, but unfortunately the pool was absolutely packed. Despite pre-booking, there didn’t seem to be any spacing of numbers, which meant we couldn’t relax or use the facilities as hoped – this was disappointing. That said, the spa treatments were incredible. I had a massage with Jess and it was genuinely the best massage I’ve ever had. Lunch in the restaurant was also delicious, with amazing, attentive service from Zoe. A mixed experience overall – outstanding staff and treatments, but overcrowded spa facilities let it down.

We booked a fairly last-minute weekend away for two adults and one child. Booking was easy, pre-arrival information was great. Easy to find in a relatively quiet location with great access to local amenities and short day trips to some lovely little towns. Accommodation was ideal (lodge accommodation, self-catered). Access to the facilities on site was great too. Friendly service and a tidy site all added to the experience. Would likely go back again!

We had a winter weekend stay- Booked through an external company so we had both evening meals included, breakfast both mornings, full use of the spa, Prosecco and bottled water on our arrival. Our evening meals were delicious, varied menu with catch of the day option. We had the fish curry one evening and roasted cod fillet the next. Root vegetable soup for starter was tasty. Glad the meals were inclusive as main meals average at £25, a standard bottle of Pinot Grigio-£32! :o Spa was basic but clean, unfortunately the steam room was out of order. Staff were professional and attentive, they are so hard working- During our stay one staff member was working the bar, waiting tables and serving breakfast the next morning by himself, but all with a smile on his face. Lovely quiet hotel, ample parking, would stay again. Thank you

Booked as a gift an afternoon tea and spa day with friends, lovely location tucked away you wouldn’t even know it’s there. We had the Halloween Afternoon tea and it wasn’t only presented great it tasted amazing, we had so much that they boxed up the cakes we had remaining to take home. We then headed to the spa which was a real treat I’ve experienced treatments before and this was up there the staff were so friendly and warm and we all managed to have a good laugh are ages were 43-64 and we had facials and massages all of which were amazing and finished up in the tranquil room. Then we headed to the spa and the facilities were impressive so clean and tidy we loved it all from the steam room to the jacuzzi and the infinity pool the view was wonderful such a calming and relaxing day! Thank you so much for a wonderful day, we will be back soon!

Yelp
The most delightful experience in Cornwall with absolutely detailed, professional customer service, beautifully appointed accommodations and gathering areas like the tea room, bar area, dining rooms. Kudos to Darrel, Jenn and Vicky at the reception desk and to Steve, the restaurant manager, who was ever so attentive, gracious and made each breakfast( included with your stay!), dinner and High Tea meals such memorable experiences for us. The surrounding, spacious gardens and walkways are stunning and there is a full service spa in the hotel also!

Yelp
This place was super cute. Only draw back is that the beds are super soft. My back and neck are killing me even after getting a massage, bummer.
