2024 Readers’ Choice Awards: The Top Hotels in Las Vegas

"If you’ve ever seen Cosmopolitan’s provocative ads about being the “right kind of wrong,” you’ll understand who it’s trying to attract—and it’s succeeding. The guests are usually on the younger side of the Strip demographic, with plenty of money to spend on all the great restaurants, cabanas at the pool, and bottle service at Marquee Nightclub. Its rooms are some of the best for entertaining on the Strip (and some of the very few with open-air terraces). In recent years, the Cosmopolitan has focused on upping its offerings for bigger spenders, and its rooms reflect that: the Chelsea Penthouses, for instance, start at 2,400 square feet, and the three-bedroom penthouses have terraces with panoramic views. All the rooms, though, appeal to those who love clean-edged design. Cosmopolitan has long had some of the Strip’s most standout restaurant and lounge options, and they’re constantly adding fun new things. Look for The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, a swanky room behind a janitor’s door where you can take in a major whiskey selection and, yes, actually schedule an old-school shave and haircut, and the hidden Ski Lodge at Superfrico, inspired by ski chalets in Hokkaido, Japan. The hotel was acquired by MGM Resorts International in 2022 and is operated by Marriott, and is now part of a new brand collection, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, that gives Marriott members special access and points on stays." - CNT Editors

"How did it strike you on arrival? Most people will enter here from the valet entrance (not the Strip entrance) and walk straight into the super-sexy lobby with video art columns. There's an ever-changing video loop, so you never feel like you're in the same room. And a VIP room off the registration area is helpful when you're an invited guest, because there are sometimes lines to check in. What’s the crowd like? They're a tribe of nomadic Millennials. It's Vegas this week, Ibiza next, and back for Coachella after that. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.If you’ve ever seen Cosmopolitan’s provocative ads about its being the “right kind of wrong,” you’ll understand who it’s trying to attract—and it’s succeeding. The guests are usually on the younger side of the Strip demographic, with plenty of money to spend on all the great restaurants, cabanas at the club, and bottle service at Marquee Nightclub. The hotel was acquired by MGM Resorts International in 2022 and is operated by Marriott, and is now part of a new brand collection, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, that gives Marriott members special access and points on stays, and you can book through MGM or Marriott. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The beds are great—with lots of big pillows. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.A lot of the rooms have different kinds of bathrooms and different layouts, but I liked my Tower One Bedroom a lot because it had a really deep Japanese soaking tub with a view of the Strip. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Included with the $45 daily resort fee. Food and drink Cosmopolitan has long had some of the Strip’s most standout restaurant and lounge options, and they’re constantly adding fun new things. One of the newest is The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, a swanky room behind a janitor’s door where you can take in a major whiskey selection and yes, actually schedule an old-school shave and haircut. Other new additions include David Chang’s fun new Bang Bar by Momofuku at Cosmopolitan’s stellar Block 16 Urban Food Hall. Its classics, like é by José Andrés, Jaleo, Scarpetta, STK, and Zuma never lose their luster. The wacky “Italian American Psychedelic” restaurant Superfrico is fun (try the Detroit-style pizza) but its hidden Ski Lodge based on ski chalets in Hokkaido is the real find. They’re all within one of the best people-watching places in Las Vegas. Room service: Worth it?Cosmopolitan's in-room dining is pretty snack-heavy (not like traditional hotel IRD, which has plenty of entrees) and there are a lot of healthy options and share plates (nachos, hummus) that assume you'll be entertaining in your room. But you'll pay a premium for ordering IRD, especially considering the fact that there are great options right downstairs, like Eggslut, Estiatorio Milos, Ghost Donkey, a juice bar. I didn't order breakfast like I usually do, because not only did one continental breakfast order cost almost $30, it also comes with a $7.50 delivery fee plus 18 percent service charge and tax. If you're really holing up in your room for any length of time and money's no object, it's likely a fine option. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?The staff here is good, but maybe not quite as standardized and en pointe as, say, Wynn. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The restaurants are absolutely key at Cosmopolitan—some of the best in Las Vegas and definitely the most scene-y. Virtually everywhere you go, you'll run into the beautiful people. There are three levels of bars under one, massive Chandelier, and Vesper Bar is one of the prettiest on the Strip. The spa has, since Cosmopolitan opened, been one of the best in Las Vegas. There's a huge, fabulous hammam that adheres pretty close to Moroccan tradition. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?If you're staying in Vegas, you'll likely end up at Cosmopolitan at some point, since this is where some of the best restaurants, and almost bar none the best people-watching can be found. It's especially good for social Millennial types, since there are plenty of places to just hang out. For those who want a break from all the expected luxury retail, Cosmopolitan offers some edgier shopping options than elsewhere on the Strip. Bottom line: worth it, and why?The rooms are big and there are lots of different room types—so it pays to research exactly what you want before you go, and request a specific room if you can. There are some really good room features, like terraces (since many Vegas hotel rooms don't have open-air spaces). Service can be a little spotty, though, and since you're paying some of the highest room prices on the Strip, you'd better really like the nightlife and restaurant scenes, because the social scene is really what you're paying for." - Andrea Bennett

Great vibes younger crowd ans very lively. Rooms need a bit of love. We had a one bedroom king terrace fountain view. The views were spectacular, best view on the strip! The rooms need a bit of love. Our TV in the bedroom wasn't working, and the luxury tub wasn't working at all. I called from desk and they offered to switch us out, but we were here for a few nights and kindly declined the offer. They offered to take care of the self parking charges for our trip. Great service!! We would definitely stay here again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The location is excellent, with easy access to many attractions via the skywalk. The hotel itself is impressive, featuring multiple restaurants, shops, a casino, and entertainment options. My room was beautiful and clean, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Check-in was an absolute nightmare thanks to Maya in VIP check-in. She should never be allowed to be face to face with anyone ever. She was rude and dismissive and completely unprofessional. She interrupted us constantly and was combative about everything we asked. Completely unacceptable. If I was looking for a reason not to return, Naya would be the only reason. Erica by contrast was the absolute sweetest, loveliest person. She made check-in a breeze and made me feel welcome. She is a top team member and should be commended for her excellent service! My only minor issue with the room was receiving a city view instead of the fountain view I had booked, but as I spent little time in the room, it didn't detract significantly from the experience. The hotel's lobby and elevators are stunning, featuring beautiful digital art displays. I will certainly stay here again.

The suite itself was amazing spacious, modern, and beautifully designed. It felt like the perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The view overlooking the Strip was breathtaking. Watching the city light up at night from my room was an unforgettable highlight of the trip. Hotel staff were impeccable throughout my stay. Every interaction was warm, professional, and attentive, which made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. The Cosmopolitan’s location made it the ideal place to enjoy CES. Close to the action yet offering a stylish retreat, it struck the perfect balance between business and leisure. Dining options were outstanding, with a wide variety of restaurants and bars that made every meal a delight. I never felt the need to leave the property to enjoy world-class cuisine. Amenities like the pool, fitness center, and lounges added even more value. Each space was designed with sophistication and comfort in mind, making it easy to relax and recharge.

Beautiful Hotel. Has much to offer in way of bars and food. Has an upscale vibe. Enjoyed the outdoor hot pool. Room was nice, had a balcony with fountain view. However, there is no water pressure in the shower. If you have long thick hair good luck getting the shampoo rinsed out! Also noticed the room had clearly not been vacuumed when we checked in and the marble bathroom floor was a bit sticky. Would I stay again, yes!

The Cosmopolitan is our favorite hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Perfect unique style and atmosphere for us. We loved our room with extra space to spread out and relax in the living room area or spacious bed area that leads to balcony. Most rooms have a balcony and great views. We enjoyed grabbing some breakfast and coffee and sitting outside to eat. We would also enjoy watching the city lights and Bellagio fountain displays at night. If you never leave the hotel, you will still have an amazing vacation. Outstanding restaurants, entertainment, bars, pools, and Casino. I recommend leaving the hotel sometimes. You are in a great location to walk to so many other venues, entertainment, museums, shopping and more. Take in the liveliness of the strip and enjoy people watching too.

This hotel is absolutely stunning—luxurious, elegant, and beautifully designed in every detail. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, offering a truly relaxing stay. The service is exceptional, with staff who are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The atmosphere throughout the hotel feels upscale and serene, making it the perfect place for a memorable getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and unforgettable experience.

I had an amazing stay at The Cosmopolitan! The room was spotless, modern, and super comfortable — everything was perfectly clean and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the view was stunning. I had an absolute blast staying here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this hotel

Google
The Cosmo bills itself as a luxury hotel, but lacks luxury amenities and service. Check-in during normal hours involves standing in a massive queue for 30+ minutes, to be greeting by a staff member who would clearly rather be anywhere else. Even the VIP check in area massive groups of people waiting. Left your key in your room? Another 30 minute wait to get it resolved. Standard room service? For a $10 service charge plus automatic gratuity, it comes in a takeaway bag, unless you want to pay an additional upcharge for basic table service. Tips on top of the automatic gratuity are expected, regardless. The rooms were fine, but lacked basic amenities, like robes and slippers, and good toiletries. I assume these could be provided on request, but these things should be standard at a higher end property. I definitely won’t be staying at the Cosmo the next time I find myself in Vegas.

Yelp
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas I have mixed feelings about this place because even though it's gigantic, and there are parts that are pretty, the customer service was just fine. Nothing very warm or welcoming. The biggest flex of this place is that it's big-- literally that's it. Going to different hotels in different countries, especially the middle east, this pales in comparison. We were here for a work convention, and although it was impressive, I feel like for how much the room and the place is, they should have more amenities. They had two queens in a room with no option of a couch with a pullout, and I feel like they should at least have a rollaway bed option, but they don't have that either. I took all the things out of the mini fridge and put them on top of the fridge, so that my children wouldn't ask for them since we bought a lot of snacks before we even came. I was immediately charged for all of the items that were taken out of the fridge. Thankfully, I was able to call, and they were able to come up and check that nothing was consumed before giving a refund. So just be aware that there's sensors in the mini fridge that charges if you pick up something in there. I wanted to give the guy who came and filled up our mini fridge a shout out because he was fantastic. I was stressed out with young children in the room while waiting for our convention to start and he was so nice to them and talked very kindly to them and made us feel at ease. I regret not writing down his name but he was so great. He made us feel more welcome than the receptionist did, so that's saying something.

Yelp
The Cosmopolitan is one of the nicest casinos on the Vegas Strip. They have hidden speakeasy's, nice chandelier bar, Marquee club, the pool, and good restaurants. It's centrally located which also means busy and more expensive. Comparing room prices this place is at the very top! If you do stay here, make sure you get a room with the strip views or go to the Boulevard pool for the best photo ops with the views. We come here every so often as locals, so my tips are to check out the speakeasy's and make reservations such as Ghost Donkey which is tiny with mostly tequila near Block 16 and the Barbershop on the first floor that is dim but spacious. If you're a female, reach out to a promoter on IG to get into Marquee club before 12am. For food, I recommend affordable Block 16 which has various eats like Tekka sushi hand rolls or Hattie B's. Wicked Spoon buffet is awesome but only early hours no dinner. Eggslut for breakfast is a Los Angeles eatery and very packed so go early. If you're playing the slots, be sure to get a players card which is MGM Brand. If you play enough aka donating basically haha you can get comped free rooms. My most recent visit was for an Unwell weekend event with Call Her Daddy Alex Cooper that was amaaaazing I highly recommend you check her out for the next event and meet other Daddy Gang members. So this casino is great if you want to hold a conference or large scale event. Weekend Itinerary example: - Expo - Brera Ballroom - Sip, Swim, Repeat - Boulevard Pool with DJ - Dinner at Block 16 restaurants - Unwell Live! - The Chelsea Theater - Marquee Club - Not Your Average Afterparties

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Cosmopolitan from Tuesday, September 30, to October 3, 2025, in Bungalow Suite #3. This room was booked as a surprise for my fiancé to celebrate our anniversary. I was informed that check-in time was at 3 p.m., but upon arriving at the front desk at 3:30 p.m., I was told that the Bungalow Suite was not ready and was undergoing inspection. I was instructed to wait and would be called when the room became available. After waiting for two hours, I returned to the check-in area and was finally informed that the room was ready. I questioned why I hadn't been notified or called regarding the room's availability, and I was told that it had just become available. While the room itself was beautiful, with amazing views, the lengthy check-in process caused us to miss our 5 p.m. dinner reservation, which left both my fiancé and me feeling frustrated. After unpacking and deciding what to eat, we left the room to explore Downtown Vegas. Upon returning, we decided to use the jacuzzi in the room; however, it did not heat up. My fiancé opted to use the bathtub instead, but when I tried to fill it with hot water, it wouldn't come on. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue but was unable to resolve it. The next morning, I spoke with someone at the front desk about the check-in delay. I was informed that the check-in time for the Bungalow was at 6 p.m., not 3 p.m. However, your Reservation Terms and Conditions clearly state, "Check-in time is 3:00 PM and Check-out time is 11:00 AM, with the exception of The Chelsea Penthouses & Bungalows, which have check-in beginning at 6:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays only." This inconsistency is quite confusing. I also informed the staff that the hot water in the bathroom tub was not functioning. She apologized and offered to credit $200 off the room charge for that night. Additionally, she stated that maintenance would come to fix the hot water issue. The maintenance technician who arrived was very helpful and explained that the valve was malfunctioning, but we could resolve the issue by turning the water on slowly. After leaving the room for the day, we returned later that afternoon only to find that the hot water knob was again not working. I called for maintenance, and once again, the same polite and helpful technician came to fix it. He also asked if there were any other issues in the room. When I inquired about the tablets found in the room, he explained they controlled lighting and curtain features, but none of them were functioning. He promised to submit a ticket for tech support to address this issue as well. Later that evening, my fiancé attempted to take a bath, but the hot water did not come on once more. I called the front desk again, and they assured me they would send maintenance and also provide a $200 credit for room service. Once the water was fixed, my fiancé was finally able to use the tub. On our final night in the Bungalow Suite, we tried to use the jacuzzi again, but it remained cold and would not heat up. My fiancé attempted to take another bath, but once again, the hot water knob failed. I called the front desk to request repairs, but no one came to fix the issue. When checking out, I informed the front desk staff that no one had addressed the hot water problem with the tub the previous evening. She checked the notes and explained that the maintenance request had been submitted but was scheduled for the following morning. Unfortunately, that was not helpful since we were checking out that morning. Overall, I was very disappointed with the level of service during our stay. It took an extra 2.5 hours for us to access the room due to the inspection, and we dealt with numerous issues, including the lack of hot water for the tub, inoperable tablets, and a cold jacuzzi. I had high expectations for this room, which is considered one of the best experiences in Vegas. This was a special occasion for my fiancé and me, and the problems we encountered significantly detracted from our celebration. Was Only offered a $100 food/beverage credit and $365 back.

Yelp
We did not stay at the Cosmo this time but did enjoy a few drinks and did see Chelsea Handler at the Chelsea! The Cosmopolitan is a stunning Hotel and Casino. Luxury at its best! Luxury shopping and five star dining with the most amazing pools and spa services. The Chelsea Handler show was amazing and i would recommend anyone to go see it while she's out here ! Check out the Cosmo too. Amazing to see !

Yelp
Attractions at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas include a beautiful 3-story crystal chandelier bar, a casino, multiple pools, a spa, and the popular Marquee Nightclub. Guests can also enjoy unique dining, themed bars, plus live entertainment and an art collection. My girlfriend and I came her several times over the past few days, attending different attractions here at the Cosmopolitan. From birthday dinner reservations at the amazing Beauty & Essex, to late night Pizza at Secret Pizza, to just enjoying a sweet treat at Milk Bar. Plus we had some late night drinks with friends at the bar in one of the high rollers sections of the casino. Then tried our luck on the casino floor for a nice $$$ return before going home.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to stay at the reputable and iconic Cosmopolitan! We took the flat rate Taxi from Harry Reid to the Cosmo ($20). Super convenient, especially if you're arriving during normal day hours. Avoid those Uber/Lyft wait times. Check in was a breeze, I guess since we arrived in the late afternoon on a Thursday the check-in line wasn't insane. At the main check-in, you're right in front of the Chelsea Tower. We did not stay here, we were in the Boulevard Tower. I love that this tower is shorter, the walk to and from the elevator is nice a short. Casino is right downstairs and the same elevator can take you to the Mezzanine where the food hall and restaurants are. Easy access to everything! The Boulevard Tower is also close to the bridge to Planet Hollywood/Miracle Mile shops, and of course Walgreens. Picked up our water stash and energy drinks. Which leads me to the fact that they DO provide a small fridge in their rooms. A must for me whenever we're in Vegas (I might be a little spoiled now). The Terrace One Bedroom Suite is what we stayed in. Spacious couch and living room area leads to a dressing area with lots of closet space. The bathroom is huge, dual vanity with shower that leads to a Japanese style tub. The interesting part of this tub, it leads straight to the bedroom, or the bedroom leads straight to the tub?? And as the name states, it offers a terrace to enjoy the strip views, and lucky for us we had the fountain view! Typically we don't call on service, but during our visit the ice machine on our floor was not working, no big deal, went to another floor to get ice. However, the last night I tried to get ice, they locked the doors and I was stuck in the stairs on the 35th floor. Security was quick to come get me and help me to another floor to grab "some" ice....none of these ice machines on the immediate floors were working. Thank goodness for the fridge! No harm, this isn't a complaint on the hotel, it happens. Last thing to note, Momofuku, STK, Henry, Egg Slut are all my absolute favorite restaurants in the Cosmo and I would easily choose to stay here again on our next visit.

Yelp
WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE!!!!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!! I have been staying here for 7+ years and I always swore by this hotel, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I was advised by my father that since bought by MGM, it had gone down hill, but every experience I've had here was a good one so I decided to risk it. I'm so sad I did. We arrived and IMMEDIATELY had issues. I had paid with Afterpay for the deposit, and when we arrived they said we needed to have the card present. Why would you allow people to use Afterpay, etc. if they wouldn't be able to have it accepted????? They said that they did not know how to make it work, and eventually they allowed it. I told them "this credit card is $1000 open on it , does that cover the amount you'll place a hold for?" I was planning to use another payment at check out. I had it all planned and budgeted as a responsible person would... and the manager CHRIS , makes a comment asking that if we made a charge to the room would we have enough money to pay for it because some people run up a tab and then don't pay. How dare you insinuate that we do not have money to pay! How dare you assume that???? I was so distraught in that moment I wasn't even realizing how offensive that was. Due to the length of time this interaction took, we did not make it to our dinner plans nor our night plans afterwards. A whole entire day wasted. All thanks to CHRIS. We went up to the room and my friend tried to take a shower just to find out that the water wouldn't run cold, only hot. She called down to the front desk where she spoke to another RUDE crew member, Chanel. Chanel gave a complete attitude and was extremely condescending. What a great start to the trip we've been waiting months to come on. We go back downstairs to speak with CHRIS. Where he says it's standard to ask guests if they have enough money to pay. What a joke. He switches our room again. Just to find out that there is MOLD in the shower that smells like a dead rat. So now we are in room #3. All of our plans have been destroyed, we have been treated like garbage, disrespected and no one has heard our complaints seriously. We were extremely distraught and it really ruined our trip. Now in room #3, the mirrors, sink and doors are covered in hand prints and gunk. And guess what???? THE DOOR DOES NOT LOCK!!!! Imagine girls alone in a room with a door that doesn't lock!!!!!!!!!! So finally we get through to a manager, Alexis, who hears us out and actually seems to take things seriously and sends someone at 3am to change the locks. This was the worst experience I have ever had in Vegas. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is a COMPLETE nightmare. In the end, there was a manager I believe her name was Neisha who did make it right and I am very appreciative for that, but it did not make up for the ruined trip we had. I would've rather paid the extra $500 each we got back and have enjoyed my trip. Very sad, very discouraging.

Yelp
The Cosmo was a daily stop on the strip because of the Starbucks on street level. Today we needed to park the car all day until our next stay was available. Easy in and out , 25.00 for the day. Easy to get lost from your car. Take pictures .We Did. Really saved a hassle search.

Yelp
I just checked into my hotel for a work thing, had a rough day and Joseph gave me a nice upgrade. His kindness made my day and a very nice first impression of the Cosmopolitan. Room is nice. Bathroom nice too.

Yelp
I love the bars here, the slots here, aesthetically its gorgeous and modern. We always walk here from any casino we stay at. Since my husband loves playing and losing money here, I'll book a room here next month. Cosmo is part of mgm now and its free for me. We also love their bogo free wicked spoons buffet. They have great service here and it feels fabulous to be in this casino!

Yelp
Got there at 4, rom was supposed to be ready at 3 but they have a conference going on and they said it would take another 30 minutes so we hung out for a little bit and room got ready and they upgraded our room for one with a balcony, so nice on floor 47. Which I loved, can't wait to go back. Plenty options for food, from all budgets. 3 nice pools, I just think this hotel is more adults than kids but actually very nice room, clean bathroom, beautiful pools and spectacular views. Loved it and be back next time I go to Vegas.

Yelp
I didn't stay there this time but I really love everything about the Cosmo. Everything about it is so chic and beautiful and upscale and luxurious. I love the Chelsea wing with all the retro items like the pez display and the old cigarette machine. We had champagne at the Chandelier bar. They have the coolest restaurants and the hotel staff is very friendly! A+ experience

Yelp
We absolutely love The Cosmopolitan as a hotel--it's always been our favorite--but ever since MGM purchased it, the quality has gone downhill substantially. We keep hearing things will improve, but what we've experienced so far has been nothing but disappointment. That said, the bungalow suite is incredible. The room, the patio, and the location right next to Marquee Day Club are fantastic--highly recommended. On the downside, every time we add an additional guest to the room for charging privileges, the front desk confirms it's set up, yet none of the restaurants or shops recognize it. It's incredibly frustrating to be denied over and over despite being told otherwise. Please fix your systems so that additional guests can actually charge to the room. Another issue: for such a premium suite, it's surprising that there's no mini fridge for cold beverages. Standard rooms have them, so it feels like a major miss not to include one in the bungalows. There's plenty of space--add one. Also, you can't order coffee or room service through the QR code in the bungalow, even though you can in other suites (or at least you used to). If guests are paying more for a premium room, they should have access to better--not fewer--benefits. Finally, check-in was frustrating. Even after the official check-in time, our room still wasn't ready. I understand availability and cleaning schedules play a role, but when paying far more than the average room rate, you'd expect priority. And why do other MGM properties have mobile check-in, mobile check-out, and lobby key pickup, yet The Cosmo still doesn't? Either integrate it properly or stop calling it an MGM property. Right now, it just feels disorganized. We'll still stay here because we love The Cosmopolitan, but MGM--please, get it together.

Yelp
The cosmopolitan has modern and stylish design, with vibrant atmosphere and unique amenities, although it could get packed and overcrowded easily. I particularly like their diverse restaurant collection and distinctive art installation, such as the famous Chandelier bar, the food court, and the secret pizza store etc.

Yelp
Lovely stay at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. Highly recommend if you're looking for lively but still upscale vibes. It also has some of the best restaurants on the strip so there's a lot to get out of here with their pool, lounges, and amenities. I stayed in the Boulevard tower with a raw balcony and great view. Check-in and check-out were quick and seamless. The Casino was nice and clean without too heavy of a smoke or those weird air sprays you sometimes find in Vegas. Valet and taxi very easy and close to the doors as well.

Yelp
Honestly I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars because after all...it is a five star hotel. Let's start with check in, it wasn't the best. I arrived early and knew that my room may not be ready but there was no options available to me or any recommendations for somewhere to hang out after flying in and being really tired. The room was very basic but clean. Now the reason for taking off stars is based off customer service. I called the day I was checking out to see if there was a late check out available because my flight didn't leave until late evening and the lady's recourse was "NOT TODAY" huh? "Not Today" but with an attitude. I was so confused because I called from my room with such an upbeat tone and then she paused after saying it which basically meant "what else do you want". I only stay in 5 start hotels in Vegas and I've never had an experience such as that.

Yelp
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan on our last visit to Las Vegas with friends and had a great time! Centrally located on Las Vegas Boulevard, it is right in the middle of everything: walking distance to most things and even has access to the tram. The Bellagio is on one side and the Aria is on the other. It has over 3,000 rooms in two towers, 3,200 Theater, several restaurants, a night club, many bars, a hidden Speakeasy, and over 100k square feet of casino space if the is your thing! We enjoy the STK restaurant, the Ski Lodge (Speakeasy), The Chandelier Bar located near the entrance, and a Starbucks in the front which uses the Starbucks App to order your coffee and morning pastries. The pool is fantastic and in the fall/winter months, they have an ice skating rink so you can have some fun on your blades. It's one of the only resorts which its rooms have balconies. We always get a suite on the side which overlooks the Bellagio Fountains-highly recommended if you enjoy them!

Yelp
Love this hotel, casino and bar. You must order a cocktail inside the chandelier bar. They have a signature drink, that numbs your mouth. Also a must try!!

Yelp
Great hotel- first time staying here despite having come to Vegas over 10 times- and got a room with a balcony and sitting area which was so appreciated, especially when coming to Vegas in the summer and needing to escape the crazy heat! The balcony is awesome and we definitely used it! We had great views of both the pool and Marquee which was fun to watch! Bathroom is clean and spacious. Would definitely stay again! Lots and lots of restaurant choices in the hotel!

Yelp
We accidentally planned a family trip to Las Vegas for the first weekend of March Madness. Oops. It wasn't as crazy as I expected, but I was fortunate in that we got upgraded to a suite which was probably one of the biggest and nicest suites I've ever been upgraded to. With two full bathrooms and a wraparound terrace, it would be a great place to host a party....which is why I think they gave it to a family. We were in the Boulevard Tower which is further away from the casino and, luckily, closer to the food court so it was just a quick elevator ride down to get food. The Boulevard Tower has a small gym, but it is solid gym with a good amount of weight machines and free weights. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is conveniently located close to Aria and Bellagio, and it's great to be able to easily get to other great hotels. There is also a priority check-in area for guests with status as soon as you enter the hotel, on your left. It's nothing special, but there is a place to sit down and relax for a beat while checking-in or checking-out.

Yelp
The rooms are very nice and they even have a refrigerator in the room. That's not only for room service when you move something you get charged like most of the hotels. This one is a empty one that you can actually use for your own things which I have not seen in Vegas yet The casino is very nice and clean and has many very good dining options. We stayed in the terrace room with a balcony and it is an awesome view. We've paid extra for the fountain view, but worth every penny. Big shower and jacuzzi tub

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE The Cosmo! We came here on a recent personal trip (not biz for once!) and had a phenomenal time! From concierge (I forget who checked us in but she was a gem and SO helpful) to the lovely agent that checked us out (while extending our stay just a bit - Ariel!) to the various speakeasies (all are great and lovely little getaways) to the nonstop options for food (you won't go hungry). Our room was spacious and felt like a studio apartment minus the kitchen. The balcony overlooking the Bellagio fountains is a sight to behold and a great place to unwind with a beer after a long day/night. The Chelsea pool was heaven on the 110 degree days. We made new friends and sipped delicious mojitos under a misty pergola. The only downside is the elevators. So incredibly slow each and every day. If you got one in 5 minutes it was a miracle. Other than that, we had a fantastic time. The staff along makes this a 10/10 place to stay while in Vegas!

Yelp
This used to be my favorite property to stay at in the US. Since MGM bought it it's gone downhill, quickly. They installed motion sensor air conditioning units and keep the hallways to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. (See photos of the temp in my room and hallway). Repeated calls and visits to the Bonvoy lounge were met with indifferent representatives that do not exude what working in hospitality once meant. Marriott Bonvoy status of Lifetime Platinum Elite & currently Titanium means little to nothing here anymore. Typically have stayed in the Boulevard Tower and this time was stuck in some little dorm room like section in the Chelsea Tower that looked like MGM Grand circa 2010. Absolutely awful. The linens are different and much cheaper, not comfortable at all, they got rid of any individually wrapped bar soaps and now it's just a lotion and soap dispenser, no bar soap. The scent of the room is nasty now. The property doesn't have that unique Cosmo smell that I always liked. It's just generic now. I had 3 different workers call me boss instead of just Sir or something normal/respectful; absolutely hate that. Just in general everyone is so apathetic here. It's not the Cosmo I used to love. Asked for feather pillows which used to be standard issue. Both times they brought crappy $8 Walmart type pillows. My shower floor would fill to 1.5+" after 2 minutes of showering. The phone didn't work in my room. It finally got cooler in the room (2 hours later and after I got into maintenance mode to override the bs energy savings settings). Very disappointing to see a once immaculate property with superb customer service start their downfall under new ownership.

Yelp
Booked a Terrance room for my birthday week and had an amazing stay. Check-in at 1:30 pm and there was no line. Our room was ready and the elevators are quite fast compared to other hotels on the strip. The room was nice and spacious. Had everything we needed for our stay. Slippers, iron, fridge, hair dryer, and toiletries. Overall a nice hotel and no complaints except the front desk employees could be more friendly and smile. I didn't hear many other guests from other rooms. Room doors are heavy so they slam a bit when it closes. Also from the terrace room I could hear the sirens multiple times a night. Would stay here again and book the fountain terrace.

Yelp
12 years ago when I was young and stupid, I walked into the lobby of the Cosmopolitan hotel and told my girlfriends "one day I'm going to stay here and when I do, I'll know I've made something of myself." My fiancé and I chose this hotel because it symbolized how far we've come in life - but also because IT IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. We stayed in one of the terrace suites and it was BY FAR the best hotel experience ive had. The front desk staff (I wish I could remember her name because she was so kind and pleasant and started our trip off with great vibes) was incredibly helpful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the view was outstanding. I have ZERO complaints. It was more than I ever imagined and was the perfect room for my wedding weekend adventure

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels on the Strip, both to stay in and also to explore and visit! For years, I've been visiting the Cosmopolitan so that I could enjoy the giant chandelier, eat at Wicked Spoon, and just walk around and enjoy the vibes. Most recently, I stayed in a suite for 2 nights for 2 guests to celebrate my birthday. I had a hard year, and I was looking forward to the new year (it turned out to be an excellent year, and improvement over the previous year, just fyi), so I wanted to splurge and fulfill the dream of booking a suite at the Cosmopolitan, complete with the Japanese hot tub! We had the view that looked out to the Luxor. While it's not as flashy as the north-facing balconies, it's still a wonderful view of the southern-most part of the Strip. The Japanese hot tub was so worth it. I savored my time soaking and luxuriating in the tub. The entire suite was a luxurious dream! Being here as a guest was fantastic. I got access to the gym, and their gym had everything I needed for a good work out. Would definitely recommend staying here. It's been my favorite hotel experience in Las Vegas yet!

Yelp
Prime location, in the middle of The Strip. My only complaint are the elevators. There's only one working every 5-20minutes. Reader, if you plan on staying here, you must build or add an extra 20 mins to waiting for an elevator during peak dinner hours. Also, if you're claustrophobic, the packed, stuffy, unconditioned elevators will be agonizing. The lights were a pain to figure out. In fact we never end. I believe the light switches don't actually work. The hotel room wasn't that bad (but also not great either, the water pressure could be a bit higher and the room corners cleaner but I can't complain too much. The view was spectacular and not too loud. We faced south. Also, there was a mini fridge which was super useful. nobody wants to use an unsanitary ice bucket. edited 9/3/25: 1.. just remembered the light switches barely worked and room wasn't bright enough; 2. there was a mini fridge.

Yelp
What an amazing hotel on the las Vegas strip. Definitely worth the price. The pool is huge it's beautiful. The service is amazing. The rooms are beautiful and huge. Parking you do pay for. Would stay here again and again.

Yelp
Let me preface by saying that my friends and I used to frequent this resort on a yearly basis years ago.. What happened to this place? Huge drop in quality and service in a span of 6yrs... We were really looking forward to our weekend at the Cosmopolitan, especially after booking one of their suites, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. First, our room wasn't ready until more than 3 hours after the stated check-in time, which set a frustrating tone for the stay. Once we finally got in, we found that one of the sinks in the bathroom was broken -- a surprising oversight for a suite at a hotel of this caliber. Overall, the room quality just didn't reflect the premium price point or branding. Throughout our stay, it also felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed at every turn -- from inflated food and drink prices to parking fees, which really added up quickly and took away from the experience. The location is great, and the vibe of the hotel is lively, but for what we paid, we expected more attention to detail and better service. Likely won't be returning.

Yelp
There's just really only so much to say here. The Cosmopolitan is the best. It's the most beautiful casino with the best food and a great location. If you can afford it, you can't do any better.

Yelp
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan for a night. We really liked our room. It came with a living room quarter, bar area, large plunge bath, king size bed, and patio. We slept pretty comfortably with the exception of it being really loud at night cause of the club downstairs. We were staying at the Boulevard tower, and where we were positioned was where we can clearly hear the music at the club till 3am. Despite this, I did still like the hotel room. The hotel itself has a ton of amenities, but my goodness, whatever perfume smell they have for the casino was so strong. Overall, a pretty cool hotel to stay at on the strip.

Yelp
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Cosmo last weekend. The room was spacious and clean. Love the huge shower! The shower head was a little grimey with buildup so that was a turnoff. The room had a mini fridge as well as an empty fridge for our use. The boulevard pool was so nice with a fantastic view. Service at the pool was terrible though, we waited almost 25 minutes just for a dole whip. Then we asked for extra spoons and we were done with it by the time she came back. The location was pretty central to everything we had planned. The staff were all super friendly and helpful when needed. I'd definitely stay again.

Yelp
As an MGM Rewards Gold Member, I've always valued MGM Resorts for consistency and service. Sadly, that standard has slipped badly since MGM assumed full control of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and continues to show at Bellagio. During recent stays at both properties, I encountered service breakdowns -- from room issues that went unresolved to staff communication lapses that would have been unthinkable a few years ago. I followed every proper escalation channel, contacting The Cosmopolitan directly, Guest Experience, and MGM Resorts corporate. Despite that, there's been no meaningful acknowledgment or resolution. What's disheartening is that this pattern isn't limited to my experience. Reading through other recent reviews, many loyal guests are describing the same thing: slower responses, indifferent service, and an overall decline in care since the MGM transition. MGM built its brand on loyalty and hospitality. I sincerely hope leadership takes note of what guests are seeing and feeling -- because the reputation that made these properties legendary is on the line.

Yelp
Currently having a really not great experience even though I'm staying in one of their best suites. Yesterday check in was a nightmare, all they offered was a glass or two of champagne in return. Then I can't get a hold of housekeeping and now front desk. Can't ask for more towels, toiletries, etc. this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and it's severely disappointing. I usually don't write bad reviews but I hope this gets their attention.

Yelp
To hear that there is an audit window early in the morning and you can't cash tickets and to be told you have to mail the winning tickets because you got to the cashier during the audit window. I have never been spot in the face before. But the cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas just did. Fuck this greedy hotel. $10 for actual plates for room service. Plenty of other hotels to choose from. Rot in hell Cosmo

Yelp
I've stayed at the Cosmo twice. Overall, I have it in my second tier of hotels on the strip. I really like that grand feeling that the massive hotels like Wynn and Bellagio have and the Cosmo just doesn't have that. The chandeliers also always do the opposite and give off this cheap feeling. I am a fan of the rooms and the location though. The rooms look great and the beds feel great. The hotel is well positioned on the strip and within the Cosmo there are lots of great shops and restaurants. I didn't like the parking at first and thought it was confusing. After getting used to it, the parking garage isn't too bad actually... just a little awkwardly laid out. I think there may be an issue with their room keys or elevator. On my first night, a couple that was in the elevator with me had trouble using their room keys to access their floor. The next night, I had the same problem. Quite annoying to deal with since you usually have to wait in line to get help.

Yelp
Had the opportunity to visit the Cosmo for our company's annual sales kick-off. The Cosmo didn't disappoint. The rooms we were given were beautiful suites. Large, spacious rooms with a balcony and a soaking tub and great seating area. The conference space / venue was wonderful too, plenty of room and great accommodations for our company. The Cosmo has amazing restaurants and entertainment to choose from. You could find a different thing to do every day, every night, and not even have to leave the hotel. They have great gambling and fun bars. The gym and the pool have a great view of the strip. My only critique would be to have curtains that block out the lights from the strip and to make check-in / check out a bit more streamlined. I'd highly recommend staying at the Cosmo during your Vegas visit!

Yelp
On a Sunday afternoon in mid December, it was my first time staying here. We parked on 4th floor and parked near the Chelsea elevator. We took elevator to lobby which was short walk. My sister and I lined up at the reservation desk and the line wasn't too bad. The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly and gave us 50th floor facing aria. The walk to the room elevator was short walking steps from the lobby which was nice. Once we opened the door, it was dark and couldn't figure out how to open the lights and the heat was turned up at 74 degrees. There were 2 tvs and 2beds with sofa and a balcony with a big bathroom. Kinda strange that there is only one trash bin and it's located in the bathroom and our trash was piling up. So, 3 stars for the declining of the room upkeep. Dusty on the end tables, the sofa needed to be replaced, the light bulbs should be 60 not 30, the refrigerator door needed new paint. Highlights, There is a long walkway to connect with Bellagio and Aria/vdara next to Wicked spoon. Also winter ice skating rink $30 to skate on the 14th floor with meet and greet 2 Las Vegas Aces Basketball players. There had fun activities with s'mores and making ornaments. The casino floor was busy of gamblers enjoying playing skits and tables. The food hall on 2nd floor was busy too.

Yelp
I was involved in a hit and run at this hotel and the hotel staff and their management team including their executive staff have done nothing to help me. All I wanted was surveillance video. I was legally parked in their underground parking garage over the weekend June 27th through June 29th, while I stayed in their hotel. I checked out of their hotel on the 29th to see my vehicle rear end bumper in total loss and damaged. They made me obtain a police report at their police station on a Sunday...I provided the police report to my insurance agent at Geico as well to try and talk some sence to their executive team. The police stated they do not do any investigations on private property if a person was not injured. Cosmopolitan will not release any footage to my insurance company nor myself. This is horrible. I urge every potential customer to stay away from this hotel. In the photos I have their employee security officer Chase taking photos of my damaged Vehicle. He stated since the acquisition by MGM this hotel treats their employees and customers who have been involved in such situations like garbage . Their employees are in constant fear of losing their jobs.

Yelp
This resort is a beast. You can easily spend days here and not go outside. While the property has almost everything you'd want and desire I think it is started to look a little dated when you look at the common areas and it is no longer a beacon of modernity on the strip. Sure there's great dining options here; but do I need to stay here if I am trying to have a good time in Vegas? Absolutely not. Furthermore amongst the thousands of rooms there's literally probably a hundred types of rooms. Some are dark, dated and generally feel tired. While the penthouses are nice I wouldn't say that they are a notch above the competition. That being said they have great views.

Yelp
At the bar close to check in I told the Hawaiian looking bartender I was waiting for friends but can I receive olives and water before they come I even tipped the guy he still was an jerk and said well you have to order a drink if not you have to leave the bar. So I sat away from the bar and the bartender proceeded to make a a call I guess to the manager a Hispanic lady . My friends arrived I order a drink from a different bartender and my friend was upset about the treatment so she asked for a manager . I Hispanic lady showed up she was a jerk as well and said I would be banned because I was I voicing a concern. I told her ma'am I told the bartender I was waiting for friends before I order I drink she said well I dont care what you say and it's our policy and if you continue we will ban. I said ma'am you guys are treating us like Prostitutes why would we get banned for voicing a concerns she continued to state we will be 86. I said we ordered a drink she said you will Be 86 and you need to leave Totally unacceptable behavior. I don't know If it was because I am black that's why they treated me this way but it is totally unacceptabl. I am a medical professional who take care of people and this is the worst treatment from an establishment. also there is no signs posted stating you can't sit if not ordering alcohol

Yelp
This review is posted on the hotel page itself, because the GM of the hotel needs to see it, not just the manager at the spa. Today's experience single-handedly won me over to stay at the Cosmo the next time I'm in Vegas. I had a customized massage done by Tommie today. Indeed, she was a massage therapist. And THERAPIST she was. Her technique was phenomenal--she intuitively knew when to apply the perfect amount of pressure and seamlessly combined therapeutic relief with deep relaxation. What really stood out was her ability to tune in and adapt throughout the session, making it feel like the massage was crafted just for my body that day. I left feeling completely refreshed, balanced, and truly cared for. Tommie is not just a massage therapist; she's an artist at her craft. If you're looking for someone who blends skill, knowledge, and genuine compassion into an unforgettable experience, I cannot recommend her enough. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I have been fortunate enough to stay at Cosmo both before and after the MGM merge, and I felt equally good at both stages of the process. The staff here is extremely nice and helpful. I love the fact that there is a Starbucks in the front and another coffee shop in the center of the casino. They have a variety of great restaurants to choose from, whether you want to grab a quick bite in the food court (which looks much more like a cool street market), or have a more formal dining experience. My personal favorite spots to eat there are Blue Ribbon, STK, and Secret Pizza. As far as the rooms go, you really can't go wrong here. I have stayed in the basic room with a balcony, the one bedroom suites, and most recently a studio suite which has two full bathrooms (with two showers) and a huge balcony. The view is absolutely magnificent on the Bellagio side, especially if you're above the 40th floor in either tower. The casino can get a little smoky at times, I wish that they would ventilate it better, but it's always lively and fun regardless - and their sports book is usually pretty packed. Of course there is the legendary chandelier bar in the center if you just want to stop through for a drink, and there's some retail shopping throughout. In the winter time they make the boulevard pool into a winter wonderland which is really cool. The spa here is not my favorite, I'm not even going to pretend, they have a lot of work to do to get that up to speed. But I will say I had a facial there before and the service provider was incredible for that in particular. And yes I know how that sounds, but you know what I mean. This is one of my top places to stay in Las Vegas, and even if I'm not staying here I always enjoy coming through for a little action at the casino or a bite to eat. They definitely make their customers feel at home, and that is so important to me!

Yelp
We've been staying at the Cosmopolitan since 2011. It's our go-to hotel. Honestly, we have never had a bad experience. Our past two trips have prompted me to write a review. Just got back a couple of days ago. Check-in: In past visits the front desk staff has always been nice, but in the past couple of years, we have found someone who is our favorite: Ariel. We will actually let people go ahead of us and wait in line, just so we can have Ariel check us in. Ariel is not only sweet, but she is kind. She has always answered any questions we have with an insider's insight and shows a genuine interest in us. She always manages to find us the exact room we are looking for. Last week, she managed to find us a fountain view we were looking for, along with managing to find us an available room that was ready, even though were were checking in at 8 in the morning. She always seems to make a special effort and last week was no different. Check-in was super quick and efficient. Food: What makes Cosmo great is they have different levels of price points for food. I love that all the high end restaurants are on the third floor, and the more affordable places are on the second. Using Cosmo as a home base is great because there are so many food options. (I'm not looking for cheap fast food options that you can fnd anywhere. I can do THAT at home.) The Pool: Got to give a shout out to Nino, the bartender. I may not come to Vegas for a year, but soon as he sees me round the corner to the bar, he recognizes me with a smile and a wave. It's nice to see someone who is both personable and professional. Also, shout out to Christopher, another bartender, who I just met this trip. Really friendly guy. In my interaction with the pool staff, they were always friendly and didn't give the appearance of just punching the time clock for their jobs. The Hotel: Maybe I've just been lucky, but I don't know what is going on with these reviews saying how the Cosmopolitan is going downhill. I haven't seen it. I'm not seeing scuffed furniture. Tub has always looked to be in great shape. TV and the electronics in the room have always been fine for us. My only complaint is the shower changed temperatures for the first two to three minutes, jumping from super hot to endurable, before settling into a comfortable temperature. They could do to change out the showerheads, too. Far as I'm concerned, Cosmopolitan is still a great hotel.

Yelp
I love this casino/hotel. It's beautiful and clean. But as a local I feel so taken advantage of. It's bad enough it's $20 to park there on a regular day but go on an event day and parking is $40. It's just disgusting because I'm already paying to go to the event which isn't cheap and then at the event it's $27 for 3 waters. It really just takes all the fun out of going out. This is ruining Vegas. It's an insult to the locals especially.

Yelp
It was truly disgusting that a 5 stars hotel cleanness protocol are so bad. For a room cost over $300+ a night, it's totally waste of money. The two star just for the fountain view, sound isolation were so bad that during the day time it was extremely loud and disturbing. The restroom were not so clean either but I didn't bother to take a picture of the toilet. They should really training their housekeeping staff how to do their jobs.

Yelp
This has been the worst hotel experience I've ever had on the Strip. My room key did not work properly during my entire four-day stay. One of the TVs never worked, and despite my repeated complaints, nothing was done to resolve it. A locksmith was even sent, but they couldn't identify the problem, and I was later told it was simply a front desk setup error--yet this continued for the duration of my stay. On the third day, I was finally offered a room change, but it was five floors higher and farther from my original room. By that point, I had already been locked out four separate times, and they waited until I had only one day left to provide a replacement room. To add to the disappointment, the buffet was not worth the cost. I had very high expectations for this hotel, and instead I left extremely frustrated and dissatisfied.

Yelp
Check-In Process: 0/5 Room Quality: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Spa: 5/5 Service: 0/5 I've stayed at this hotel about five times in total, and while I truly love the property, the last two stays were disappointing. During my most recent visit, the check-in process took over 40 minutes, and I didn't receive the fountain-facing room I had specifically requested when booking. The stay before that was also frustrating--I was told my room wasn't ready, so I decided to spend time (and money) at the spa. Just as I got settled, I received an alert that my room was ready, which made me feel like I wasted both time and money. On top of that, the room I eventually received had broken lights and dirty towels. When I called the bell desk for my bags, I waited more than an hour. To make matters worse, when I contacted the front desk about these issues, I was met with laughter and attitude over the phone. Completely unacceptable. I spend a significant amount of money with this hotel--booking rooms with balconies, dining in the restaurants, enjoying the bar, gambling on property--because I try to keep all of my spending within the hotel. Lately, however, I feel as though my loyalty and business aren't valued. It's frustrating to feel like my money is taken for granted.
