2024 Readers’ Choice Awards: The Top Hotels in Las Vegas

"If you’ve ever seen Cosmopolitan’s provocative ads about being the “right kind of wrong,” you’ll understand who it’s trying to attract—and it’s succeeding. The guests are usually on the younger side of the Strip demographic, with plenty of money to spend on all the great restaurants, cabanas at the pool, and bottle service at Marquee Nightclub. Its rooms are some of the best for entertaining on the Strip (and some of the very few with open-air terraces). In recent years, the Cosmopolitan has focused on upping its offerings for bigger spenders, and its rooms reflect that: the Chelsea Penthouses, for instance, start at 2,400 square feet, and the three-bedroom penthouses have terraces with panoramic views. All the rooms, though, appeal to those who love clean-edged design. Cosmopolitan has long had some of the Strip’s most standout restaurant and lounge options, and they’re constantly adding fun new things. Look for The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, a swanky room behind a janitor’s door where you can take in a major whiskey selection and, yes, actually schedule an old-school shave and haircut, and the hidden Ski Lodge at Superfrico, inspired by ski chalets in Hokkaido, Japan. The hotel was acquired by MGM Resorts International in 2022 and is operated by Marriott, and is now part of a new brand collection, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, that gives Marriott members special access and points on stays." - CNT Editors

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection

"How did it strike you on arrival? Most people will enter here from the valet entrance (not the Strip entrance) and walk straight into the super-sexy lobby with video art columns. There's an ever-changing video loop, so you never feel like you're in the same room. And a VIP room off the registration area is helpful when you're an invited guest, because there are sometimes lines to check in. What’s the crowd like? They're a tribe of nomadic Millennials. It's Vegas this week, Ibiza next, and back for Coachella after that. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.If you’ve ever seen Cosmopolitan’s provocative ads about its being the “right kind of wrong,” you’ll understand who it’s trying to attract—and it’s succeeding. The guests are usually on the younger side of the Strip demographic, with plenty of money to spend on all the great restaurants, cabanas at the club, and bottle service at Marquee Nightclub. The hotel was acquired by MGM Resorts International in 2022 and is operated by Marriott, and is now part of a new brand collection, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, that gives Marriott members special access and points on stays, and you can book through MGM or Marriott. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The beds are great—with lots of big pillows. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.A lot of the rooms have different kinds of bathrooms and different layouts, but I liked my Tower One Bedroom a lot because it had a really deep Japanese soaking tub with a view of the Strip. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Included with the $45 daily resort fee. Food and drink Cosmopolitan has long had some of the Strip’s most standout restaurant and lounge options, and they’re constantly adding fun new things. One of the newest is The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, a swanky room behind a janitor’s door where you can take in a major whiskey selection and yes, actually schedule an old-school shave and haircut. Other new additions include David Chang’s fun new Bang Bar by Momofuku at Cosmopolitan’s stellar Block 16 Urban Food Hall. Its classics, like é by José Andrés, Jaleo, Scarpetta, STK, and Zuma never lose their luster. The wacky “Italian American Psychedelic” restaurant Superfrico is fun (try the Detroit-style pizza) but its hidden Ski Lodge based on ski chalets in Hokkaido is the real find. They’re all within one of the best people-watching places in Las Vegas. Room service: Worth it?Cosmopolitan's in-room dining is pretty snack-heavy (not like traditional hotel IRD, which has plenty of entrees) and there are a lot of healthy options and share plates (nachos, hummus) that assume you'll be entertaining in your room. But you'll pay a premium for ordering IRD, especially considering the fact that there are great options right downstairs, like Eggslut, Estiatorio Milos, Ghost Donkey, a juice bar. I didn't order breakfast like I usually do, because not only did one continental breakfast order cost almost $30, it also comes with a $7.50 delivery fee plus 18 percent service charge and tax. If you're really holing up in your room for any length of time and money's no object, it's likely a fine option. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?The staff here is good, but maybe not quite as standardized and en pointe as, say, Wynn. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The restaurants are absolutely key at Cosmopolitan—some of the best in Las Vegas and definitely the most scene-y. Virtually everywhere you go, you'll run into the beautiful people. There are three levels of bars under one, massive Chandelier, and Vesper Bar is one of the prettiest on the Strip. The spa has, since Cosmopolitan opened, been one of the best in Las Vegas. There's a huge, fabulous hammam that adheres pretty close to Moroccan tradition. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?If you're staying in Vegas, you'll likely end up at Cosmopolitan at some point, since this is where some of the best restaurants, and almost bar none the best people-watching can be found. It's especially good for social Millennial types, since there are plenty of places to just hang out. For those who want a break from all the expected luxury retail, Cosmopolitan offers some edgier shopping options than elsewhere on the Strip. Bottom line: worth it, and why?The rooms are big and there are lots of different room types—so it pays to research exactly what you want before you go, and request a specific room if you can. There are some really good room features, like terraces (since many Vegas hotel rooms don't have open-air spaces). Service can be a little spotty, though, and since you're paying some of the highest room prices on the Strip, you'd better really like the nightlife and restaurant scenes, because the social scene is really what you're paying for." - Andrea Bennett

The Cosmopolitan is such a great place to stay in Vegas! The rooms were spacious, clean, and stylish, and the location couldn’t be more perfect.. right in the heart of everything. The food options are also incredible, which makes it so easy to stay and play without leaving the hotel. My only complaints were with the AC and check-in. The AC didn’t work properly and required a call to maintenance both times I stayed, but the staff handled it quickly. Check-in was also a bit inconvenient and frustrating at the start of the trip, though smoother and quicker when I returned. Neither of these things would stop me from coming back. I absolutely loved my stay and will 100% stay here again!

We recently stayed at the Cosmopolitan for the first time and they must say I was very impressed with the rooms. They were beautiful and I absolutely loved the balcony. The big square tub with lots of fun and a big bubble bath the slot machine pay off pretty good and a good selection. There are many many restaurants to choose from, but I will say that the food is a little pricey. We ate at the blue ribbon restaurant food was good but again somewhat pricey, but the manager her name is Sheila was absolutely fantastic. To sum it up I would definitely stay there again.

What a beautiful establishment. My first time staying there was a great experience, even though I wish they had kept up with the place better. The light outside our room was hanging from the wall when we checked in, the day after it was all broken in pieces on the floor, I moved it to the side so no one trips over it. We were there for 3 more days and it just sat there. I guess they vacuumed the carpet around it 3 days in a row. Or they didn't vacuum the hallway the entire weekend?? On the main floor, by the lobby, where you check in, with the big beautiful screens, there was a piece of carpet that was Duck taped! Black Duck tape across the floor by the main Chelsea elevators. Not something you expect to see at a hotel like The Cosmopolitan. It was things like that and cleanliness that needed work. Oh and the shampoo and conditioner containers in our shower were completely out. I asked for refills, the cleaning crew seemed to have forgotten to refill them even after they cleaned our room. Good thing I had over packed and had brought my own! We loved the location, the architecture and design and all that of course but I was expectingore class, more of that good smell when you walk into the door. We had 2 rooms, one was very neat and everything filled and cleaned up, the room we got later, was missing towels, had empty shampoo containers in the shower and smelled like bleach. Thankfully we didn't stay in the room til later that night which the smell wasn't as terrible but still was in the room.

Love The Cosmopolitan! It’s a perfect place to unwind and relax. Also love the balcony’s and the spacious design of the rooms! Jacuzzi is my favorite place to soak in after being on the strip all day! STK is my most craved restaurant on site. The milk bar is where I go for a sweet treat. I follow the next morning with a healthy juice or egg slut. Top tier resort! I love unwinding at multiple of their options for outdoor pools. The spa is a great get away as will. I love the steam room. Thank you Cosmopolitan.

Google
BEWARE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU ERRONEOUS SURPRISE MINI - FRIDGE COSTS!!! I only spent one evening in this hotel, and was very careful to leave the room in great condition… I chose to “Splurge” on 2 - High Noon (grapefruit flavored…) and 1 - small package of Cashews… knowing this would add approximately $40-$45 total in additional expenses on my tab - I thought it was worth it. However, when an additional $324 charge hit my credit card I immediately reached out to the hotel about the erroneous charges. I was ademant that I used only the 2 - high noons and the cashews, and that by no means did I clear out the mini-fridge for upwards of 20 - $15 alcoholic beverages (if we wanted that much alcohol, why not go downstairs and enjoy some of their beautiful bars or go find a nice restaurant on the strip - LIKE WE DID!!!) Upon having the conversation with the guests services manager she mentioned “we can only refund the money after we do an investigation…”… to which I kept pressing, I’m not sure how they count their inventory but if their count was off, why would that “off count” change after an investigation? And why not take my word? How will their count change if it were their human error? Why wouldn’t they take my word? - As I kept pressing the lady - who is supposed to be skilled as a manager - she hung up on me. That sure is low class customer service from a venue that should be high class.

I spend around 180 nights a year in five-star hotels across Asia, the Middle East, and the US. I rarely leave reviews unless an experience is truly extreme. I’ve also been to Las Vegas over 35 times since 1997, and this was without doubt the single worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in the city.||The positives: the location, property, facilities, and rooms are all excellent. On paper, it has everything you’d expect from a five-star hotel. But the service is shockingly poor.||From the moment I arrived, I felt like nothing more than a number. Check-in was cold and dismissive, as if the staff were doing me a personal favour just by giving me a room. There was no warmth or hospitality and it felt more like a budget motel than a luxury resort.||Housekeeping was another problem. Daily room cleaning is a basic expectation at a hotel of this calibre, yet here I was told it to be treated as a privilege. After a long day out, my wife and I returned to find my room untouched. Guest services were flippant saying it should not be expected daily, telling me I could wait up for housekeeping with no idea if or when anyone would arrive. Fresh towels eventually arrived over an hour later, after three calls. At 11pm, this was completely unacceptable.||Check-out was equally poor. My stay was prepaid, yet because I checked in after midnight, the system charged me again for the entire stay. Staff at the desk were unhelpful and dismissive, leaving me both frustrated and astonished.||The Cosmopolitan may look like a five-star hotel, but it is clearly run on a budget mindset. Staff appear underpaid and disinterested, and it shows in every interaction.||In short, if you care about service or being treated with basic respect, avoid this hotel. You’d get better treatment at a £20 roadside motel than here, despite the five-star price tag.

First off the location is good and the view out from our room is great. But overall experience is not. 1. Check in line is a lot longer than other hotels. Be prepared to stand and wait. I don’t understand why it needs to take close to 5 min for the receptionist to find a room in the system. 2. We booked two rooms and checked in at around 4. We were not only put to two different floors but also requiring two different elevators. Was told that is the only one got popped out from the system. Not sure if he is asking for tip to get the same floor as I saw a $20 cash sitting on the desk. 3. The two different floors have very different smell, one of the two definitely needs some work. 4. Itemized receipt is not sent to you automatically. I have sent three emails asking for it as I think they overcharged me based on my calculation, and so far I still have not received any response. Searching online, seems like it is a common issue.

I had an amazing experience at the cosmopolitan. The hotel is absolutely stunning from the stylish atmosphere everything about the place feels welcoming. The energy is lively making it one of the best spots on the Strip.||What really stood out during my visit, though, was the staff, especially Lucas from security. He went out of his way to make me feel Welcomed and safe, and his friendliness honestly made me feel like I was right at home. He even took time out of his day to recommend some great places to eat, which made my stay even better. It’s rare to come across someone in such a busy environment who genuinely cares about guests, and I applaud his recommendation of The Henry the staff in there was amazing!||Between the beautiful hotel and the exceptional service, I can’t recommend The Cosmopolitan enough. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Have stayed multiple times before, & it's always been great. Unfortunately this last time wasn't as nice as previous visits. We booked a room with a king bed, Jacuzzi tub, balcony with a fountain view. Told person 30th anniversary he said he'd hook us up with something nice. So slipped him a tip for making sure we got a good room. We were on a much lower floor then previously visits, got Japanese soaker tub which is nice but not if you want to kick back. Our balcony door kept sticking so it auto shuts of your AC which is no biggy if we knew that's what was causing it and in 107 degrees got warm quick. Room a little worn and dirty, but not awful. The worst I'd say is going to secret pizza and seeing a giant cockroach crawling on the wall and the person making food trying to grab it without anyone else seeing while still gloved up. He missed and it dropped onto the food counter and crawled out of reach to who knows where. He saw me and another person look in horror and so he unloved kind of laughed embarrassed and regloved up to continue making someone else's food. Not sure we will go back there. Unfortunate, because it's been our favorite place to stay on our visits .

Yelp
I just checked into my hotel for a work thing, had a rough day and Joseph gave me a nice upgrade. His kindness made my day and a very nice first impression of the Cosmopolitan. Room is nice. Bathroom nice too.

Yelp
Check-In Process: 0/5 Room Quality: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Spa: 5/5 Service: 0/5 I've stayed at this hotel about five times in total, and while I truly love the property, the last two stays were disappointing. During my most recent visit, the check-in process took over 40 minutes, and I didn't receive the fountain-facing room I had specifically requested when booking. The stay before that was also frustrating--I was told my room wasn't ready, so I decided to spend time (and money) at the spa. Just as I got settled, I received an alert that my room was ready, which made me feel like I wasted both time and money. On top of that, the room I eventually received had broken lights and dirty towels. When I called the bell desk for my bags, I waited more than an hour. To make matters worse, when I contacted the front desk about these issues, I was met with laughter and attitude over the phone. Completely unacceptable. I spend a significant amount of money with this hotel--booking rooms with balconies, dining in the restaurants, enjoying the bar, gambling on property--because I try to keep all of my spending within the hotel. Lately, however, I feel as though my loyalty and business aren't valued. It's frustrating to feel like my money is taken for granted.

Yelp
Prime location, in the middle of The Strip. My only complaint are the elevators. There's only one working every 5-20minutes. Reader, if you plan on staying here, you must build or add an extra 20 mins to waiting for an elevator during peak dinner hours. Also, if you're claustrophobic, the packed, stuffy, unconditioned elevators will be agonizing. The hotel room wasn't bad, the water pressure could be a bit higher and the room corners cleaner but I can't complain too much. The view was spectacular and not too loud. We faced south.

Yelp
Got there at 4, rom was supposed to be ready at 3 but they have a conference going on and they said it would take another 30 minutes so we hung out for a little bit and room got ready and they upgraded our room for one with a balcony, so nice on floor 47. Which I loved, can't wait to go back. Plenty options for food, from all budgets. 3 nice pools, I just think this hotel is more adults than kids but actually very nice room, clean bathroom, beautiful pools and spectacular views. Loved it and be back next time I go to Vegas.

Yelp
Great hotel- first time staying here despite having come to Vegas over 10 times- and got a room with a balcony and sitting area which was so appreciated, especially when coming to Vegas in the summer and needing to escape the crazy heat! The balcony is awesome and we definitely used it! We had great views of both the pool and Marquee which was fun to watch! Bathroom is clean and spacious. Would definitely stay again! Lots and lots of restaurant choices in the hotel!
google avatar

Marcie M.

Yelp
The rooms are very nice and they even have a refrigerator in the room. That's not only for room service when you move something you get charged like most of the hotels. This one is a empty one that you can actually use for your own things which I have not seen in Vegas yet The casino is very nice and clean and has many very good dining options. We stayed in the terrace room with a balcony and it is an awesome view. We've paid extra for the fountain view, but worth every penny. Big shower and jacuzzi tub

Yelp
We accidentally planned a family trip to Las Vegas for the first weekend of March Madness. Oops. It wasn't as crazy as I expected, but I was fortunate in that we got upgraded to a suite which was probably one of the biggest and nicest suites I've ever been upgraded to. With two full bathrooms and a wraparound terrace, it would be a great place to host a party....which is why I think they gave it to a family. We were in the Boulevard Tower which is further away from the casino and, luckily, closer to the food court so it was just a quick elevator ride down to get food. The Boulevard Tower has a small gym, but it is solid gym with a good amount of weight machines and free weights. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is conveniently located close to Aria and Bellagio, and it's great to be able to easily get to other great hotels. There is also a priority check-in area for guests with status as soon as you enter the hotel, on your left. It's nothing special, but there is a place to sit down and relax for a beat while checking-in or checking-out.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE The Cosmo! We came here on a recent personal trip (not biz for once!) and had a phenomenal time! From concierge (I forget who checked us in but she was a gem and SO helpful) to the lovely agent that checked us out (while extending our stay just a bit - Ariel!) to the various speakeasies (all are great and lovely little getaways) to the nonstop options for food (you won't go hungry). Our room was spacious and felt like a studio apartment minus the kitchen. The balcony overlooking the Bellagio fountains is a sight to behold and a great place to unwind with a beer after a long day/night. The Chelsea pool was heaven on the 110 degree days. We made new friends and sipped delicious mojitos under a misty pergola. The only downside is the elevators. So incredibly slow each and every day. If you got one in 5 minutes it was a miracle. Other than that, we had a fantastic time. The staff along makes this a 10/10 place to stay while in Vegas!

Yelp
Love this hotel, casino and bar. You must order a cocktail inside the chandelier bar. They have a signature drink, that numbs your mouth. Also a must try!!
google avatar

Yelp
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan on our last visit to Las Vegas with friends and had a great time! Centrally located on Las Vegas Boulevard, it is right in the middle of everything: walking distance to most things and even has access to the tram. The Bellagio is on one side and the Aria is on the other. It has over 3,000 rooms in two towers, 3,200 Theater, several restaurants, a night club, many bars, a hidden Speakeasy, and over 100k square feet of casino space if the is your thing! We enjoy the STK restaurant, the Ski Lodge (Speakeasy), The Chandelier Bar located near the entrance, and a Starbucks in the front which uses the Starbucks App to order your coffee and morning pastries. The pool is fantastic and in the fall/winter months, they have an ice skating rink so you can have some fun on your blades. It's one of the only resorts which its rooms have balconies. We always get a suite on the side which overlooks the Bellagio Fountains-highly recommended if you enjoy them!

Yelp
Let me preface by saying that my friends and I used to frequent this resort on a yearly basis years ago.. What happened to this place? Huge drop in quality and service in a span of 6yrs... We were really looking forward to our weekend at the Cosmopolitan, especially after booking one of their suites, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. First, our room wasn't ready until more than 3 hours after the stated check-in time, which set a frustrating tone for the stay. Once we finally got in, we found that one of the sinks in the bathroom was broken -- a surprising oversight for a suite at a hotel of this caliber. Overall, the room quality just didn't reflect the premium price point or branding. Throughout our stay, it also felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed at every turn -- from inflated food and drink prices to parking fees, which really added up quickly and took away from the experience. The location is great, and the vibe of the hotel is lively, but for what we paid, we expected more attention to detail and better service. Likely won't be returning.

Yelp
Booked a Terrance room for my birthday week and had an amazing stay. Check-in at 1:30 pm and there was no line. Our room was ready and the elevators are quite fast compared to other hotels on the strip. The room was nice and spacious. Had everything we needed for our stay. Slippers, iron, fridge, hair dryer, and toiletries. Overall a nice hotel and no complaints except the front desk employees could be more friendly and smile. I didn't hear many other guests from other rooms. Room doors are heavy so they slam a bit when it closes. Also from the terrace room I could hear the sirens multiple times a night. Would stay here again and book the fountain terrace.

Yelp
I found the Cosmopolitan a GEM find. Great art, great staffing especially girls as none were battle worn and all professional. Just right size for RACEBOOK, POOL great security and non commerce is not going to get in. Relaxing pool setting with DJs with a great adult concept and very affordable pricing. I found the food court GREAT as no same old franchises. SPECIALITY stands and I found BLOCK 16 Urban Food Court a 10, best rice bowl I thought on the entire strip. People need to leave dinosaurs and find the COSMOPOLITAN. Best on Strip overall.

Yelp
I was looking forward to my stay at the Cosmopolitan. My room two Queen double room on the 49th floor was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large but lacked a bathtub. The shower is large but the shower head has seen better days. There were also areas of moldy caulking in the shower. The beds are comfortable and the linens were standard. The room provided both a minibar refrigerator and a refrigerator for personal use. The problem was and continues to be Brocken elevators servicing the upper floors in the Chelsea tower. The waits to ascend to the high floors were long. I suggest to ask if the Chelsea elevators are fully working before booking.

Yelp
What an amazing hotel on the las Vegas strip. Definitely worth the price. The pool is huge it's beautiful. The service is amazing. The rooms are beautiful and huge. Parking you do pay for. Would stay here again and again.

Randen J.

Yelp
I have an elite Marriott status and have stayed in Marriotts all over the world for decades. I stayed here when they first opened, and it was fantastic. However, their customer service has gone downhill. The bathroom needed repairs. Since MGM has taken over, they offer very little benefits to loyal Marriott customers. There are many other hotels who understand the benefits of customer service. Will not be staying here again.

Yelp
I was involved in a hit and run at this hotel and the hotel staff and their management team including their executive staff have done nothing to help me. All I wanted was surveillance video. I was legally parked in their underground parking garage over the weekend June 27th through June 29th, while I stayed in their hotel. I checked out of their hotel on the 29th to see my vehicle rear end bumper in total loss and damaged. They made me obtain a police report at their police station on a Sunday...I provided the police report to my insurance agent at Geico as well to try and talk some sence to their executive team. The police stated they do not do any investigations on private property if a person was not injured. Cosmopolitan will not release any footage to my insurance company nor myself. This is horrible. I urge every potential customer to stay away from this hotel. In the photos I have their employee security officer Chase taking photos of my damaged Vehicle. He stated since the acquisition by MGM this hotel treats their employees and customers who have been involved in such situations like garbage . Their employees are in constant fear of losing their jobs.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite property to stay at in the US. Since MGM bought it it's gone downhill, quickly. They installed motion sensor air conditioning units and keep the hallways to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. (See photos of the temp in my room and hallway). Repeated calls and visits to the Bonvoy lounge were met with indifferent representatives that do not exude what working in hospitality once meant. Marriott Bonvoy status of Lifetime Platinum Elite & currently Titanium means little to nothing here anymore. Typically have stayed in the Boulevard Tower and this time was stuck in some little dorm room like section in the Chelsea Tower that looked like MGM Grand circa 2010. Absolutely awful. The linens are different and much cheaper, not comfortable at all, they got rid of any individually wrapped bar soaps and now it's just a lotion and soap dispenser, no bar soap. The scent of the room is nasty now. The property doesn't have that unique Cosmo smell that I always liked. It's just generic now. I had 3 different workers call me boss instead of just Sir or something normal/respectful; absolutely hate that. Just in general everyone is so apathetic here. It's not the Cosmo I used to love. Asked for feather pillows which used to be standard issue. Both times they brought crappy $8 Walmart type pillows. My shower floor would fill to 1.5+" after 2 minutes of showering. The phone didn't work in my room. It finally got cooler in the room (2 hours later and after I got into maintenance mode to override the bs energy savings settings). Very disappointing to see a once immaculate property with superb customer service start their downfall under new ownership.

Yelp
This resort is a beast. You can easily spend days here and not go outside. While the property has almost everything you'd want and desire I think it is started to look a little dated when you look at the common areas and it is no longer a beacon of modernity on the strip. Sure there's great dining options here; but do I need to stay here if I am trying to have a good time in Vegas? Absolutely not. Furthermore amongst the thousands of rooms there's literally probably a hundred types of rooms. Some are dark, dated and generally feel tired. While the penthouses are nice I wouldn't say that they are a notch above the competition. That being said they have great views.

Yelp
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Cosmo last weekend. The room was spacious and clean. Love the huge shower! The shower head was a little grimey with buildup so that was a turnoff. The room had a mini fridge as well as an empty fridge for our use. The boulevard pool was so nice with a fantastic view. Service at the pool was terrible though, we waited almost 25 minutes just for a dole whip. Then we asked for extra spoons and we were done with it by the time she came back. The location was pretty central to everything we had planned. The staff were all super friendly and helpful when needed. I'd definitely stay again.

Yelp
Maybe it's not fair to give them two stars. I was in town for a conference taking place at Caesars Palace, the company who sent me put me in a wrap-around suite at the Cosmopolitan. The hotel's ambiance--from the reception desk throughout--gives off a modern vibe, exactly what I'd expect from one of MGM's newer, upper-end properties. The suite was spacious, and they're known for their open balconies--or I should say the wrap-around balcony--because of the 180° view (Strip, airport, mountains). Here's why I had someone switch me over to Caesars Palace's Nobu Suite: 1. The water pressure was horrible. They can say whatever they want to justify it, and I know poor water pressure in Vegas is common because of hotel design and the desert setting. But don't tell me you're putting me in the second-best room in your building and give me water pressure worse than the outdoor shower I'd get at a campsite. 2. Parking exit issues. I had trouble exiting the parking lot multiple times. Someone on the intercom was able to assist right away, and yes, parking was free for me, but the experience was unpleasant at best. This is a common issue at many Vegas hotels--it's a self-inflicted problem from when they started charging for parking, which led to delays and errors at the gates. 3. Erroneous minibar charges. It didn't come out of my account, but when I checked my invoice after returning home, they had charged me/the company for drinks and snacks I definitely didn't touch. My guess? The guests before me helped themselves, and housekeeping forgot to restock until I checked out. Regardless of your income level, it never feels good to be charged for something you didn't use. I didn't make a big deal out of it, but it's the kind of error that leaves a bad impression. 4. No late checkout for suites. If you haven't heard, Vegas hotels have found new ways to deny late checkouts. When I called the front desk, the friendly receptionist put me on hold to "ask the manager," who supposedly said they couldn't allow late checkout for suites because they take longer to clean. She suggested calling in the morning around 7-8 a.m., when sometimes they grant it. Clever way to get guests up early, but I didn't bother calling. My guess? They might give you an hour at most. To be fair, points 1-4 are common across many Vegas hotels. The city isn't doing great right now--tourism is down, guests are spending less, casino floors aren't as busy, food quality is slipping, and management is trying to nickel-and-dime their way to profitability, which only drives guests away. So what should you do, fellow Yelpers? Go to a different hotel? Skip Vegas entirely? Not necessarily. People visit Vegas for all sorts of reasons, and you can still have a great time. If you're on a budget, you can find a hotel on or near the Strip that's clean, has a comfortable mattress, good shower pressure, and lower resort fees. You're not missing much by skipping the top-floor suite or penthouse--unless you really want the experience. In that case, book it for just one night, preferably your last. Check out the video, though--it really is a nice view. The Cosmopolitan wrap-around has a great vantage point. The Bellagio penthouse fountain view is also spectacular if you want that classic Strip shot, and Encore has decent views too, if that's your thing. I do not recommend to my fellow Yelpers- sorry Cosmo!

Yelp
The Cosmopolitan is hands down one of my favorite Vegas stays. I booked the Studio Terrace Suite, and the view alone was worth it stepping out onto that balcony at night overlooking the Strip is a moment you don't forget. The suite was sleek, modern, and spacious, with all the little touches that make it feel like more than just a hotel room. The Chandelier Bar is pure eye candy. Three levels of glittering crystal and each floor has its own cocktail menu it's like drinking inside a piece of art. Easily one of the most stunning bars in Vegas, and the drinks were just as impressive. For daytime energy, Marquee Dayclub was unbeatable. The music, the crowd, the vibe it's the ultimate Vegas pool party. Great service, plenty of energy, and the perfect place to spend the afternoon before heading back to the suite to reset for the night. Cosmo nails that modern, stylish Vegas feel it's vibrant without being over the top, and everything from the rooms to the nightlife delivers. Easily a 5-star experience.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels on the Strip, both to stay in and also to explore and visit! For years, I've been visiting the Cosmopolitan so that I could enjoy the giant chandelier, eat at Wicked Spoon, and just walk around and enjoy the vibes. Most recently, I stayed in a suite for 2 nights for 2 guests to celebrate my birthday. I had a hard year, and I was looking forward to the new year (it turned out to be an excellent year, and improvement over the previous year, just fyi), so I wanted to splurge and fulfill the dream of booking a suite at the Cosmopolitan, complete with the Japanese hot tub! We had the view that looked out to the Luxor. While it's not as flashy as the north-facing balconies, it's still a wonderful view of the southern-most part of the Strip. The Japanese hot tub was so worth it. I savored my time soaking and luxuriating in the tub. The entire suite was a luxurious dream! Being here as a guest was fantastic. I got access to the gym, and their gym had everything I needed for a good work out. Would definitely recommend staying here. It's been my favorite hotel experience in Las Vegas yet!

Yelp
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan for a night. We really liked our room. It came with a living room quarter, bar area, large plunge bath, king size bed, and patio. We slept pretty comfortably with the exception of it being really loud at night cause of the club downstairs. We were staying at the Boulevard tower, and where we were positioned was where we can clearly hear the music at the club till 3am. Despite this, I did still like the hotel room. The hotel itself has a ton of amenities, but my goodness, whatever perfume smell they have for the casino was so strong. Overall, a pretty cool hotel to stay at on the strip.

Yelp
What happened to this place? It was so nice when it first opened but the rooms are just going downhill. We booked the hotel through AMEX since we get added benefits. AMEX offers upgraded rooms upon check-in if available, $100 room credit and then $60/day breakfast credit. When we checked in, they told me the entire hotel was booked. This felt really awkward as the hotel was so empty the entire day. We did get a room around 1pm, which was nice for us. The room is a big part of the stay. When we walked in, we were amazed at the size of it. I don't believe I have ever seen a non-suite this large. The bathroom was modern, like the hotel, offering a separate commode with a swinging frosted glass door, double sinks and a very large shower. The bathroom itself has a barn door slider that does lock. The show area has a glass panel that has some sort of film with a picture on it. While you cannot see inside, unfortunately the light does show through into the room, making it hard for someone who wakes up early to get ready without waking anyone else. The AC would work but the temp of the room changed so much throughout the day. 69degrees during the day was hot and yet at night, it was freezing. While the room was nice, the problems in the room overcame the pleasantness of the stay. The left sink in the room was clogged, the water pressure in the shower was low and then water temp would never get hot. The bedside reading lights had issues and 3 of the 4 would not turn off. So we had to sleep with "night lights" the first night. The next morning, we spoke to the manager and let her know of the issues. She said she would have maintenance check on it. We also needed clarification about how we could spend the $60 breakfast credit. Apparently, the check in desk was supposed to give us the AMEX welcome letter that explained everything but forgot to. The manager was extremely apologetic and ended up waiving our resort fees and also gave us an extra $150 hotel credit to use during our stay. That evening, we called maintenance again since no one had come and they finally sent someone at 10pm! The gentleman came in and fixed the clogged sink, said he removed the temp regulator to increase the temp by 10-15degrees. He had to add double-sided tape to hold the reading lights in place, which worked for a bit but then in the middle of the night, two of the 3 popped back out. It took around 40mins or so to get everything done. Oh! Forgot on other thing to note. Ordering a fork/knife from housekeeping will yield a charge of $11. Get the plastic ones from Floor 2 restaurants instead. The rest of the hotel is very nice and it offers a wide variety of food choices. Egg Slut is of course, our favorite. We didn't try any of the fancy places as we had dined in most of those on previous trips. Secret Pizza is always a life saver. $32 for a large 1 topping NY Style pizza that is just delicious. We have stayed here before but with the experience we had this time around, I think it is time to move on to the Aria or The Bellagio.

Yelp
I have been fortunate enough to stay at Cosmo both before and after the MGM merge, and I felt equally good at both stages of the process. The staff here is extremely nice and helpful. I love the fact that there is a Starbucks in the front and another coffee shop in the center of the casino. They have a variety of great restaurants to choose from, whether you want to grab a quick bite in the food court (which looks much more like a cool street market), or have a more formal dining experience. My personal favorite spots to eat there are Blue Ribbon, STK, and Secret Pizza. As far as the rooms go, you really can't go wrong here. I have stayed in the basic room with a balcony, the one bedroom suites, and most recently a studio suite which has two full bathrooms (with two showers) and a huge balcony. The view is absolutely magnificent on the Bellagio side, especially if you're above the 40th floor in either tower. The casino can get a little smoky at times, I wish that they would ventilate it better, but it's always lively and fun regardless - and their sports book is usually pretty packed. Of course there is the legendary chandelier bar in the center if you just want to stop through for a drink, and there's some retail shopping throughout. In the winter time they make the boulevard pool into a winter wonderland which is really cool. The spa here is not my favorite, I'm not even going to pretend, they have a lot of work to do to get that up to speed. But I will say I had a facial there before and the service provider was incredible for that in particular. And yes I know how that sounds, but you know what I mean. This is one of my top places to stay in Las Vegas, and even if I'm not staying here I always enjoy coming through for a little action at the casino or a bite to eat. They definitely make their customers feel at home, and that is so important to me!

Yelp
I've stayed at the Cosmo twice. Overall, I have it in my second tier of hotels on the strip. I really like that grand feeling that the massive hotels like Wynn and Bellagio have and the Cosmo just doesn't have that. The chandeliers also always do the opposite and give off this cheap feeling. I am a fan of the rooms and the location though. The rooms look great and the beds feel great. The hotel is well positioned on the strip and within the Cosmo there are lots of great shops and restaurants. I didn't like the parking at first and thought it was confusing. After getting used to it, the parking garage isn't too bad actually... just a little awkwardly laid out. I think there may be an issue with their room keys or elevator. On my first night, a couple that was in the elevator with me had trouble using their room keys to access their floor. The next night, I had the same problem. Quite annoying to deal with since you usually have to wait in line to get help.

Yelp
Had the opportunity to visit the Cosmo for our company's annual sales kick-off. The Cosmo didn't disappoint. The rooms we were given were beautiful suites. Large, spacious rooms with a balcony and a soaking tub and great seating area. The conference space / venue was wonderful too, plenty of room and great accommodations for our company. The Cosmo has amazing restaurants and entertainment to choose from. You could find a different thing to do every day, every night, and not even have to leave the hotel. They have great gambling and fun bars. The gym and the pool have a great view of the strip. My only critique would be to have curtains that block out the lights from the strip and to make check-in / check out a bit more streamlined. I'd highly recommend staying at the Cosmo during your Vegas visit!

Yelp
On a Sunday afternoon in mid December, it was my first time staying here. We parked on 4th floor and parked near the Chelsea elevator. We took elevator to lobby which was short walk. My sister and I lined up at the reservation desk and the line wasn't too bad. The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly and gave us 50th floor facing aria. The walk to the room elevator was short walking steps from the lobby which was nice. Once we opened the door, it was dark and couldn't figure out how to open the lights and the heat was turned up at 74 degrees. There were 2 tvs and 2beds with sofa and a balcony with a big bathroom. Kinda strange that there is only one trash bin and it's located in the bathroom and our trash was piling up. So, 3 stars for the declining of the room upkeep. Dusty on the end tables, the sofa needed to be replaced, the light bulbs should be 60 not 30, the refrigerator door needed new paint. Highlights, There is a long walkway to connect with Bellagio and Aria/vdara next to Wicked spoon. Also winter ice skating rink $30 to skate on the 14th floor with meet and greet 2 Las Vegas Aces Basketball players. There had fun activities with s'mores and making ornaments. The casino floor was busy of gamblers enjoying playing skits and tables. The food hall on 2nd floor was busy too.

Yelp
We stayed at the cosmopolitan for our first time. Note, we have stayed in Las Vegas several times, but first stay at the Cosmopolitan. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice our stay was from start to finish. Checkin was smooth and easy, one of, if not the best checkin experiences. Room was excellent, a Boulevard Balcony Suite. The room was exceptionally clean with a great view of Las Vegas blvd. The Cosmo is in a great location as well. Everything center strip is close by and easily accessible within walking distance, so you don't feel trapped in one location. I highly recommend giving the Cosmo a look for your next visit to LV. Especially if you happen to get any special offers or comps.

Yelp
My first bit of advice is do not stay in the Chelsea Tower. The elevators were horrific, and the wait was way too long. We spent the first hour of our vacation, trying to navigate the Chelsea Tower elevators. Although all six were functioning and it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week, they didn't seem to be able to figure out how to make it work. Once we switched to the boulevard tower, everything went much better. Our Blvd Tower suite was lovely, but the power did go out at one point. It took them forever to fix it! We were unable to plug in anything charge our phones, or turn the television on. I couldn't even call the front desk on the room phone because the power was out. The balcony view was beautiful. Our server, Erica at the pool was magnificent! This was my first time staying at the Como! Although I liked the balcony, the long lines for elevators and lack of power may keep me away next time.

Yelp
We stayed here for my partners conference wc was being held at same hotel. It's a vibey hotel but the best part is the hospitality staff and service wc always went above and beyond and made our stay very enjoyable and welcoming. Got room service and the French toast w berries and whipped cream is a must have and they hook it up w the condiments. I also asked for a PupJoy box for our doggo and they sent one up to the delight of our pet. :) Our room was very quiet and we got a great view of the strip wc included the Bellagio fountains and the famous orb wc lights up fabulously at night. The hotels attractions and amenities are located in different floors and has a decent selection of restaurants, bars, convenience shops and luxury shopping whatever your thing, they have it! We appreciated the prime location of being walking distance to the sister hotels Aria and the Vdara and the ability walk our pup close to some greenery in the desert scape. Would recommend!

Yelp
The room service food was so much better than I had expected. I really recommend trying the poke! I couldn't get enough of it. For a room service dish, it's pretty tasty. I also really liked the smoothies :)

Yelp
This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. We have the 2 room city view suite, and everything is old, disgusting, or both. We don't even feel comfortableto sit down or to use the bathrooms. We paid $3000 for 3 nights

Yelp
Booked the terrace studio fountain view for my birthday which the view is spectacular. However I give it two stars because check in was supposed to be at 3:00pm but the room was ready at 4:00pm. In addition, (NOT ADA friendly in the pool area) I am disabled and the pool area were full of people in the shade area ( first come first served) and other shade area require you to spend from 250 - 600$ (which is insane) in order to get the best spots. Some other area there are no umbrella to protect you from the sun but it was upstairs (no roof) the weather was like 100 degrees. I told the staff that I wasn't able to go upstairs due to my disability and I wasn't able to walk in a heat floor, but the staff since that didn't care and told me to come back another day early (wtf). I would like to sue them if I know how to. (Couldn't enjoy my birthday as I wanted to).

Yelp
The Cosmopolitan Resort, Las Vegas Shoutout to Mai, the resort manager, for going above and beyond to accommodate our needs after a little hiccup with our reservation. The room was perfect and ready when we needed it--clean, stylish, and comfortable. The secret pizza spot was a hidden gem, and those slices definitely hit the spot! The gaming machines checked all the boxes for a fun night, and the Wicked Spoon buffet had a great variety of food, making it worth the stop. The terrace balcony views were absolutely stunning, adding that extra magic to our quick but fun getaway. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Celebrating our wedding anniversary early, my husband and I decided to go all out and upgrade our visit with a stay at the Cosmopolitan. The hotel itself is massive, gorgeous, features 20+ restaurants (including a food hall), plenty of gambling, 2 rooftop pool areas, a nightclub, and provides that upscale vibe we were searching for! The rooms are extremely nice, well maintained, a fun layout, and feature individual balconies overlooking different parts of the city. We opted for a king suite - with a strip view, and upon check in, were upgraded to a higher floor, with a better view of the strip and the Bellagio fountains! It made for one hell of a view, any time of day! Service is outstanding, in all the ways! Check in was seamless, housekeeping checked our room daily and restocked towels and other, the restaurants were amazing to each customer and "Rose" the AI assisted app, could do just about anything and everything additional to accommodate your stay! Be prepared to pay a pretty penny, but I can guarantee you, it's entirely worth it!!

Yelp
Probably one of the best hotels on n the middle of the strip to stay at . Check in for us was fast and the room with a terrace is amazing . It takes staying in Vegas to a whole other level . Didn't try out any of the restaurants inside so I can't tell you about the food but it's worth staying here just because of the proximity to everything

Yelp
Ever since MGM took over The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the quality of rewards has significantly declined. The benefits offered now are nowhere near as good as they used to be. They focus on things we don't need, like free parking (which doesn't apply since we don't drive) and late check-out (which we don't use because we can't sleep in). They need to offer more relevant rewards to frequent guests. We absolutely love The Cosmopolitan--it's our favorite hotel--but our recent stay was full of issues. The first problem was that the person who made the reservation wasn't authorized to charge to the room, and neither was the other person on the reservation. As a result, we were denied charging privileges at various places throughout the hotel. We eventually spoke with the concierge and a manager, who promised a $75 credit, but we never received it. It feels like ever since MGM took over, things have gone downhill. The systems are frustrating, and everything just doesn't work as smoothly as it used to. We'll still stay there because we love The Cosmopolitan, but please, get it together!

Yelp
This will be the 1st and definitely LAST time we're staying at this hotel. The layout of the hotel is a mess, if you have kids you shouldn't book a room at this hotel. When checked-in, one of the sinks was clogged. The toilet had this green thing oozing out of it from somewhere. First day of using the bath tub we found there was a DEAD COCKROACH. One of the light switches was broken and could be an electrical hazard with one wrong click. We informed hotel management about this and while they did give us some credit and they told us they will fix the issues, it doesn't really change the fact that the room we got was gross and makes you doubt it they do clean it thoroughly. The Cosmopolitan is not just some hotel, with the price you pay for a room I expect nothing less from the cleanliness and maintenance of the place!!! I will NOT recommend this hotel to any one. We've stayed at Aria, Vdara, Park MGM and Bellagio. Among all the MGM hotels we stayed at this was the absolute worst hotel!

Yelp
This was my first time staying at the Cosmopolitan. I had business meetings in the convention center, and it was very convenient to simply get off the elevator and be right at the meeting rooms and eating room rooms. There were many stores and restaurants within the complex and a casino. The pool areas were nice, but drinks there were pricy! No coffee makers in the room was my only complaint...but plenty of coffee options within the hotel! The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the HVAC worked great. I was lucky enough to have a great view from floor 44 of the Bellagio Fountains. Great location right in the middle of the strip!

Yelp
Front desk is scammy and not interested in resolving issues. I've stayed at the Cosmopolitan for years and very much enjoyed it. But something has changed. I had an issue that left me feeling mistreated. In trying to resolve it, a manager made several representations that turned out to be complete lies at checkout. I was told charges would be removed that were not, credits would be applied that were not, and a front desk staff with little interest in making things right. Their resolution process has a very middle school feel as the manager sits behind a door and relays decisions through front desk personnel who disappear, then reappear with your answer. I spoke to, and got a card from, a manager (a man) on one day, and then a completely different person (a woman) called me the next day insisting they were the manager who's card I got. The name was "Bradley" so it works for both. I'm pretty sure this is just part of the scam. The second person must have assumed I hadn't met with "the manager behind the door" so they can all play the same person. For a kicker, I'm Bonvoy platinum elite for life and this all happened in the VIP checkin. I pity the people at regular checkin if they have an issue. I was mistreated, I was lied to, I paid for a room class I did not get, I got talked into an upgrade I did not want, and when I checked out, I experienced a whole system designed to be opaque, scammy, and to nickel and dime you. They even added $20 to an upgrade fee after I reviewed my "final" bill. Bottom line, this experience soured me on the Cosmopolitan, and I'm pretty sure those front desk people really don't care.

Yelp
The Cosmopolitan is such a fun and adventurous hotel - a little too much fun if you're not paying attention lol. From the entrance to the Eataly, it's jumping. My friend and I explore what we thought was the entire hotel. We didn't even cover a third of it. The front desk is orderly and on point. We stayed in the 51st floor, and THAT VIEW?! Immaculate. Our room was clean and classy. Spacious. We experienced the Marquee Day Club (wild lol). Our food experience was ok (Eataly, Eggslut, Hattie's Hot chicken). But the star was the Chandelier Bar. So beautiful.

Yelp
Another beautiful Vegas hotel & casino!! This is another hotel that I would like to stay at in the near future. It is classy, trendy, luxurious, and in my top five for the next hotel that I want to stay at. We had a good time at the casino. Our drink server was very nice and didn't forget us. We had other plans for dinner, so we didn't get a chance to try any of the restaurants here. But next trip, we will spend more time here.
