I had travelled to Mumbai for a 17 day long training sort of program in Chembur. I initially stayed at another newly opened hotel which was also not bad which I had booked via MMT. I stayed there for three nights but I found it too claustrophobic and it had a children’s hospital below it! I understand that Real estate in Mumbai is crazy expensive so for this budget range you will find that most hotels are stacked on top of one another or they share the same building. I had been checking this hotel out online and so I decided to go and see it. I realised that their on site booking price is lower than booking pages. The Cottage is a hotel|Chain sharing the building with another hotel called as Subash Lodge and on the top floor there is also an apartment but unlike other hotels the entire building has the same uniform design and so it feels very homely. They even have a central garden which is ridiculously rare for the budget range in Mumbai and all floors have balconies around the garden. The rooms though not too big are very comfortable and clean. I really loved their vintage feeling sense of design which I prefer more than tacky modern stuff. The manager was such a nice person as well as his staff. They have laundry service and the area is quite safe. There are numerous cafes and restaurants outside the hotel and so many shops for the shopaholic too. The Metro line is really nearby and this area has so many nice parks and lanes to go on walks. I miss this hotel and I am definitely visiting.

Ok place with location being the great plus, near to Chembur station. Rooms are very small and not provided basic complimentary things like water bottle, paste, brush. Only towel, tiny soap, one small shampoo sachet are given.

I have been to The Cottage more than once in the last 6 months, both the times it was a good experience. Recently was from 05th to 11th June. |Location: A stone's throw away from Chembur Station. You end up saving a lot of money and time because of that. You can even get an auto for around 50 bucks or OLA for 100 if u want to catch the Metro at Ghatkopar for Central line. |Rooms: I have stayed in the Deluxe Large Room and the Deluxe Small room. It's worth it. Rooms are neat and tidy, esp washrooms are clean. Only room for improvement could be the Pillows they need some Vitamins but it's decent.|Amenities: Absolutely excellent WiFi as compared to other Ponzi Oyo Rooms. Great and prompt Room service for tea and water basically. For food u just need to step out of the hotel to experience a wide range of cuisines from Malvan, konkan, Udupi to Pure Veg. |Staff: all staff are well mannered and behaved, completely professional. They might bow and say good morning or good evening when they see you but they are good. I had left a multiplug and an extremely important file but before I could realise and call Mr Mukesh called and assured me it's in their safe custody and I returned a few hours later to find them safe. |Booking tip: use goibibo coupon codes to get the best deal.

Stayed only one night (as of yet) but it's a cheap hotel which you might prefer if you're travelling alone. Used it only as an accommodation so I don't have any clue about the food or any other special arrangements. The staff seems courteous (although I interacted for a mere 2-5 minutes at 1:30 AM) and the bathrooms are a bit small. The room is equipped with a well serviced AC (non-AC rooms are also available). I'd recommend this if you're travelling alone and need a place to crash at night for a few hours.

I have stayed in this hotel twice and both the times my experience has been very good. The best part is that the people of this hotel are really considerate and very co-operative. They understand the problems of their customers and co-operate. The wi-fi connectivity was very good. Location is excellent. Hardly 100 meters away from the local train station of Chembur and approx 4-5 kilometers from BARC.||||I recommend this hotel for the people visiting Mumbai and looking for a budget hotel.
