The location of Hotel The Council is excellent, right in the heart of the city. However, there is no parking, and finding a spot nearby is quite a challenge. Despite being rated as a 4-star hotel, it feels more like a 2-star experience. The rooms are small, the furniture is old, and the bathroom drain was clogged during my stay. The air conditioning is a makeshift solution—a mobile unit with a pipe sticking out through a hole in the window. Charging your phone requires some gymnastics, as the only available 220V outlet is behind the bed, which is bolted to the floor (as seen in the pictures). The breakfast is quite basic and not very appetizing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially considering it's not cheap.
