This Florida Campground Just Ranked as the Top 'Hidden Gem' in North America

"Ranked the top “hidden gem” campground in a national Campspot study that analyzed over 3 million data points (guest ratings, reservation data, and park features), this once-a-fish-camp offers direct waterfront access to Lake Henderson and features a beloved on-site waterfront pub. The property has 10 landscaped RV sites beneath a canopy of trees with full hookups (electric, water, septic) and Wi‑Fi, plus kayaks and boat access; lodging alternatives include 400-square-foot cabins and a sprawling home with a shaded front porch that sleeps 11. Located under three miles from the 47-mile Withlacoochee Bike Trail and only a six-minute drive from downtown Inverness, it blends peaceful lakeside relaxation with easy access to local attractions." - Evie Carrick Evie Carrick Evie Carrick is a writer and editor who’s lived in five countries and visited well over 50. Nice ambiance! Very nice location. Searing outside and inside depends on the weather. First time here and we enjoyed very much the vibe of the place. Food was good for the price My only suggestion would be they change cutlery because they have plastic ones wrapped in a napkin which I get is better and faster but it’s not safe for the environment if they have a choice (which we all do) Would be very nice if they would consider adding some live music because the place is perfect for it!

We camped here in our RV. It is a pretty campground and we loved the convenience of the restaurant. The food was excellent. Our campsite was clean and quiet. It had nice landscaping that provided some privacy. We had full hookups, but there are no showers or laundry.

Riley was great, very friendly. The young man that brought out our food was also very nice and made sure we had what we needed. The fried pickles had a kick. Delishious with a little spice. Hubby enjoyed the Fat boy burger , it looked so good. i had the cove wrap which was also very good. plenty of outdoor seating with a play around for kids. we will return to try other menu items.

One of my favorite 'hole in the wall'-esque places to visit for a nice lunch or dinner. The last couple of times we stopped in the prices were up a bit, but what isn't anymore? Either way, the service and atmosphere is always fun and inviting. Location also gives access to Henderson Lake and its various waterways.

Menu has something for everyone. I got a small taco salad for $10. It was the perfect size! We got the jalapeno poppers for the table to share and they were phenomenal. The ranch homemade dressing was super super good

Beautiful setting outside of Inverness! Great vibe! They also have camping spots and you can do air boat tour rides right from their location. Pretty good food selections and fun drinks. Very nice service!

From basic fish and chips to the gut busting reuben you can't go wrong. It's my third visit and I've been blown away every time. Eat, drink and have a blast!

Stayed in a sweet cabin across street. Ordered food to go. Absolutely to die for! Had specialty burgers, sides and desserts. All top notch. Staff super friendly. Fun atmosphere
