What a super Sunday lunch lovely veg, great roasty potatoes, excellent yorkie and plenty of thick juicy beef covered in lovely shiny thick gravy. We started with tempura prawns with a great sauce. Well worth a visit and also worth the price for us. Staff were amazing and very nice. Give them some custom they more than deserve it.

Went out as a foursome for lunch, they offered a set menu for New Year’s Day lunch. Specials were on offer on the day. Friendly team of staff who went above and beyond.

Really lovely Christmas Day meal at the Cove. We used to go there for all our special family occasions but haven't been back since it changed hands a few years ago. Now that it's changed hands again, we have been hearing good things and decided to give it a go for our Christmas lunch, our first time eating out instead of at home, and we weren't disappointed. Lovely food and service, we will definitely be back! (Forgot to take photos of food until the pudding!)

Came across this restaurant by chance as it is dog 🐕 friendly, lovely place, great view out to sea, staff friendly and attentive but not too much. The food was delicious and well presented a lovely end to our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Will certainly go there again the next time we’re in Cornwall.

I had the most amazing lunch today at The Cove. We walked the coast path there and back and were greeted by friendly staff and the most amazing grilled haddock. Would thoroughly recommend and will be back!

It was really nice to see the Cove re-opened after the departure of Michael Caines. We have lovely previous experiences at the restaurant having dinner there post engagement. The atmosphere unfortunately was a little dead when we arrived as it appeared that we were the only people eating there that evening (very stormy/cold weather). Felt a little weird just eating on a large restaurant by yourself but the table was set nice and it was warm thankfully! The food was nice. Went for the pig cheek for starter and my wife went for the muscles. Both were lovely and would suggest this. The beef shin sounded good on the menu but we both felt it was very heavy. The shin meat was like mash when it came away and alongside smoked mash (which was nice) made it heavy. Overall the food was good but I think there is a clear difference than eating there before. I think they need a winter midweek deal to bring some more customers in as the overall cost is more expensive than when it was owned by Michael Caines.

The staff are always really friendly and helpful. First an amuse bouche which was a delight. Then we shared a mi cuit salmon delicately arranged to Michelin standards - really something else. We did not realise they had a special Christmas menu on and they instantly mentioned they had a 2 steaks + a bottle of wine deal they could substitute at a stunningly good price; it was steak, chips, mushrooms and a light salad. It all hit the spot beautifully. As usual, we had eaten too much to leave room for desert. This place is really well worth the drive, you will keep coming back.

The Cove is under new ownership from the beginning of February 2025 and we loved it! Bright, cheery and stylish interiors and outstandingly good food. They’ve only been open for a week and we look forward to returning often. And what a welcome bar for dogs!

Yelp
Now this Restaurant looks out over Maenporth Beach. Just next to it lies a 'real' smugglers lane which meanders up to Bareppa. At night this is another romantic cornish haunt with small lights glinting amongst the trees and cliffs and would be a wonderful place to take someone special. Food= Very good Staff = friendly Taxi = Best way to travel to and from During the day The Cove is a very fashionable location.

Yelp
The Cove is right next to Maenporth beach just down the coast from Falmouth. We went there recently for our works Christmas lunch, the food was really nice and was great value at £13.95 for a three course meal, the staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the seating area is great looking out to sea down over the beach, we were in a side alcove just off from the main restaurant which is great, almost a private room for larger groups. The main menu for the Cove seemed a little expensive but considering the quality of the food we'll probably go back for a treat at some point.
