The Cow Hollow Hotel

This is a tricky one because a lot is good, some is not but it's still a nice hotel. Depends on what you want. You get what you pay for, just not how you might assume. The location ist great, the hotel is nice. I found the staff a bit off (not unfriendly, just off) but loved my room. They offer a lot of free stuff like water on the room, hot beverages throughout the day, prosecco and nibbles in the evening, cookies & mild at night, breakfast delivered to the room. And that is great, but it is also a needed compensation for other things: 1. Water pressure and heat of the showers are limited 2. it's in a lively area and if you are noise sensitive this hotel is not for you 3. no elevator 4. the internet was not working for me for the whole stay. These are small things but you need to be aware of them before you book. It's a nice hotel and evenly priced with nice amenities which make up for other things.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here whilst we were visiting Manchester for Christmas. The staff were all absolutely delightful. The lady at reception was very pleasant and welcoming as soon as we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. The bar staff were lovely too, and always happy to speak to you when returning to the hotel. We loved the breakfast in bed and thought this was a lovely touch each morning. The hotel itself was very clean and had lovely facilities and interior. The hotel itself is in a prime location in central Manchester and everything was in walking distance. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the city.

You will be hard pushed to find better service than you get at the Cow Hollow. All the team are lovely, very attentive and helpful and can't do enough for you. All the little extras are lovely touches, breakfast brought to your room, tea and coffee whenever you want it, prosecco and nibbles in the evening, and delicious hot chocolate and cookies brought up to your room. The rooms are very well done out and spotlessly clean, but they are a little on the small side without any real storage which was fine as a lone traveller. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed in a deluxe room and booked direct with the hotel to get a free gorgeous cocktail and prosecco each. Hotel is absolutely tiny, as wide as our lounge! It's quite discreet so we found it tricky to find initially, but fab location, welcome and vibe. Room service was fab, breakfast etc. Our room was great, comfy double bed. Lots of nice touches, earplugs, sweets. We'd stay again.

Had an amazing experience! Our room was tidy and neat. Staff was so sweet we enjoyed the conversations we had with them in the lobby. Free wine and snacks every evening as well as milk and cookies in bed was amazing and such a pleasant way to end our nights. Breakfast in bed was great every night. My only negative would be the water in the shower never got very warm. Front desk was great at making recommendations for attractions and food. Room was turned over daily and everything felt clean. Not very loud outside or inside. Very intimate hotel with amazing staff! Worth the stay!

Such a warm welcome and a phenomenal stay making my birthday exactly what I wanted so thank you to all the staff. From when we entered the door we were offered complimentary hot drinks and we're even able to check in early due to the room being ready. The room was extremely tidy with everything you may need for a calming stay. The following morning we have breakfast with fruit brought to our room which was lush. Will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel, but did have pros/cons! Pros - staff super friendly, lovely little extra's (ear plugs, sweets etc), great decor and very cosy, brilliant location, breakfast in bed was a really nice touch. Cons - rooms very small, extremely warm even without radiator on, lighting too dark - not the greatest for females getting ready! No extractor fan in bathroom and window did not stay open. No slippers provided or milk and cookies as mentioned, cocktails tasted awful! And finally £100 security deposit - never had this at a hotel before and took over a week to come off my pending balance.

I rarely write reviews, but this boutique hotel really stood out for me. Really good service, everything was clean, nice rooms, beautifully decorated. I loved the fact they sent nibbles and prosecco to the room on arrival - a lovely touch. I stayed here for work, but would now like to visit Manchester with my wife and stay here.

This hotel has become the gold standard to which all future hotels will be measured. We were absolutely crushed to have to leave at the end of our journey. - close to everywhere we wanted to be with shops and pubs and restaurants galore - the staff were so warm, knowledgeable and accommodating - delicious well-rounded breakfast- even on the morning we had to leave before 6 am, it was waiting for us at checkout. We stayed in room 5 initially and room 12 upon our return to Manchester. We stayed in a hotel that was double the nightly cost and it doesn't hold a candle to the Cow Hollow.

I didn't stay here but no doubt I would like to, very tasty looking boutique style hotel ..we stopped in to ask directions and the concierge was so lovely and helpful so nice and the hotel seems reasonable and so beautifully decorated
