The Cow Hollow Hotel

We had the LOVELIEST, and I mean loveliest, stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel in Manchester! I was in town to play a concert and the staff very generously allowed us to check in early and, seeing the amount of luggage we had, upgraded us to a suite on the first floor with more space. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the beds were incredibly comfortable. This place has so much charm, but perhaps the best part was the kind, generous and helpful staff who work here! They were outstanding and went out of their way to make us feel right at home. Having breakfast with first class espresso and a fresh omelette delivered right to our door was the icing on the cake. I travel for a living and sometimes I cannot believe places like this even exist! I will certainly be back!

Great experience! First time staying at The Cow Hollow, blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Man on the desk (didn’t get name) was so welcoming and took a genuine interest in why we were visiting Manchester. We were down for the Manchester United V Rangers, which I believe some hotels/bars had some concerns about. Not here. Great welcome, great conversation from both person on front desk and I believe female manager. Let us check in our luggage early and check in early. Nice touch of the bags been taken to room for you. The decor is stunning, the rooms are perfect. The comps and the little fine details of branding and the recommendations were really exceptional. Overall a perfect experience. Will definitely return.

We found The Cow Hollow Hotel online. We don’t know the area well, but all of the information provided by the Hotel helped us park and find the hotel with ease. We were really surprised by the hotel’s charm. Although small, it felt like an incredible place to be. The staff were friendly, and the rooms are beautiful. The whole hotel has so much character and we would love to stay again.

My wife and I stayed at the Cow Hollow Hotel in December 2024 during a festive visit to catch football matches in the area. While the room was small and basic, it was comfortable and well-suited to our needs. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, and the service was outstanding. We also appreciated the morning breakfast, which was a nice touch.||The hotel’s location is ideal, with quick access to Piccadilly Station and within walking distance of many of Manchester’s best attractions. If you plan to spend significant time in your room, you might consider upgrading to a larger space with more amenities. However, as a base for exploring the city and beyond, Cow Hollow was perfect for us.

Very lovely place, the staff are kind, welcoming and accommodating. The nibbles + breakfast made the stay even better. Rooms are perfect and tidy, although more storage space could be beneficial as there wasn’t much room to put my things. Overall I would 100% come again, I had a lovely stay :)

We loved our stay at the Cow Hollow Hotel. From the warm welcome at check in to the free hot drinks- I loved it. The staff were lovely and made great dinner suggestions. Rooms were beautiful, very Comfy bed, very clean and beautiful decor. Would highly recommend and will definitely return when next in Manchester.

Room 3|The staff here were very attentive and friendly. When you are taken to your room you are given some sweets which is a nice touch and the offer of milk and cookies before bed could not be missed. Breakfast is taken in the room and was warm and again a nice touch, all presented well on a tray and on time. There is water provided in the room but the hot drinks machine was just a step away in a seating area. |The hotel was in an ideal location for our visit and though on back streets, we felt safe walking around at night. The doors are closed at 11 but there were still people in the bar area and the barman was quick to open up. |The Netflix in the room actually works which is a hard find in any hotel!|Be aware that boutique rooms with a 6’2 man are just uncomfortable. The pictures on the website make the rooms look bigger or maybe ours was just a small room? Though the bed was nice, it was too big for the room and we kept stubbing our toes getting around the bed as it took up the whole of the area. The floors were tiled and cold to walk on but slippers are provided. Staff came quickly to show us how to work the heating but the room then became too hot, even with the heat turned down. |My husband could smell toilets in the corridor but I couldn’t so not sure why this was? The bathroom was en-suite and clean though the toilet has a slight leak as the floor was constantly wet at the side. |This room would’ve worked well as a single making a completely different review.

Incredible service, staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Lots of little freebies and room service. Rooms are gorgeous aesthetically and the bed was really comfortable, but there isn’t much table space, at least in the double room. But that’s only a small critique, overall it was a wonderful hotel and I’d happily come again!

This hotel has become the gold standard to which all future hotels will be measured. We were absolutely crushed to have to leave at the end of our journey. - close to everywhere we wanted to be with shops and pubs and restaurants galore - the staff were so warm, knowledgeable and accommodating - delicious well-rounded breakfast- even on the morning we had to leave before 6 am, it was waiting for us at checkout. We stayed in room 5 initially and room 12 upon our return to Manchester. We stayed in a hotel that was double the nightly cost and it doesn't hold a candle to the Cow Hollow.

I didn't stay here but no doubt I would like to, very tasty looking boutique style hotel ..we stopped in to ask directions and the concierge was so lovely and helpful so nice and the hotel seems reasonable and so beautifully decorated
