An absolute gem of a hotel, one of our favourites so far. My partner and I arrived early morning and dropped our bags with reception before exploring the Northern Quarter. When we came back later in the day it was quick and easy to check in. They do require ID and a credit card on check in, as they take a £100 pre-authorisation for any damages or additional purchases, but you do get it back later. ||The lovely lady on reception showed us to our room which was down in the basement level. It was so cool having the overhead window out onto the street, and there were wooden shutters to close during the night. It did mean the room was quite dark, but there was a natural light mirror in the bathroom I was able to use to put my makeup on the following morning. ||At 5pm we were given complementary Prosecco and a tray of nibbles (olives, cheese, crisps and nuts), then at 10pm we were given complementary cookies and milk. Both were such lovely little touches that really made us smile. ||The room itself was small, mostly taken up by the bed, but it was cosy and beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfy and the room was very clean. The shower pressure was light but the water was nice and hot. ||The following morning we were brought breakfast in bed, included in the price. An omelette, avocado toast, bananas, tea, coffee and some orange juice. The portions were small, but for something included in the price we really enjoyed it! ||The staff were all fab, friendly and attentive. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

An amazing find! Superbly set in a historic industrial building retaining a lot of the original features. Small but well appointed room (we were in the Copper Suite) with a toilet and shower squeezed into the old lift shaft. Treats on arrival, coffee and other drinks available 24/7, fruit bowl in the downstairs lounge. What's not to like?|Nicely located within walking distance of Bridgewater Hall ( we were seeing a show there) and also Victoria station and the central shopping areas. We would definitely recommend and would return without hesitation.|Lovely, quirky breakfast in room included.

Really lovely and quirky boutique hotel in a great location. The room we stayed in was small but charming. There was little room for bags and no storage apart from some hooks behind the door and some hangers so bear that in mind. However, on a positive note the bathroom was well equipped with hairdryer and tongs, plus magnifying mirror, which for us ladies is a must. The decor is great especially in the bar area - beautifully done and with free Prosecco as an early evening treat and milk and cookies later on, a must visit. But perhaps the best thing is the team who look after you - they are excellent and shout out to Osman and Javid who certainly know how to make epic cocktails. We loved our stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at The Cow Hollow Hotel. The room was gorgeous, the bed was unbelievably comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We felt super relaxed and couldn’t get over how pampered we were. Free cocktails upon arrival, free prosecco and nibbles before heading out for dinner and then a lovely breakfast in the morning. Loved the decor and vibe of the hotel in general, especially all the personalised touches in the room (earplugs, speaker, water, sweets and letter). Will definitely be staying again.

The Cow Hollow Hotel truly feels like a home away from home. My partner and I stayed there in May. We found the building itself to be charming and the staff to be absolutely delightful. They really went above and beyond. We had a bottle of whisky break in our luggage and they helped us to find a laundry service. They also always welcomed us back so warmly and sincerely and wished us well as we were constantly in and out of the hotel on little adventures.||Also of note - The Cow Hollow is in a perfect location. The Northern Quarter is filled with cool shops, delicious cafes and great food. You’re also close to the trains and trams for journeys within or beyond Manchester.||We can’t wait to return! We will only ever stay at the Cow Hollow when we are in Manchester.

An absolute gem of a hotel in the heart of Manchester. I’ve stayed here twice and will definitely come again. The staff are lovely, the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented, with good coffee. There are so many little touches that make your stay optimal, such as the good hairdryer and hair straighteners/curling tongs and plenty of hooks to hang things on (I never understand why other hotels don’t have more hooks!). The bar is cute and they provided me with excellent local restaurant recommendations. I slept really well and the bed was comfortable. Despite being located in the lively Northern Quarter, it’s not too noisy at all. My go-to place to stay for trips to Manchester.

Our second stay at The Cow Hollow and it was just as good as previously. This time we stayed in Rm13 (a standard double). The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff are outstanding and really go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The complimentary Prosecco & nibbles between 5&7 is a lovely touch. We had a great nights sleep and enjoyed our breakfast in bed the following morning. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Manchester.

Very small and dark rooms.|There was a warm, friendly welcome from Asad. However we were a bit swamped with lots of forms and information sheets on arrival, we had a tick sheet to order our continental breakfast for the following morning. We were given a list of suggested restaurants, which was helpful but we decided to find our own way to Picadilly gardens where there are lots of restaurants that we are not on the list. There is a funky cocktail bar in reception but no restaurant. So the pre-ordered breakfast is delivered on a tray to your tiny room. You have to sit on the bed to eat it. there is no lift metal stairs are poorly lit we needed a torch. Although the bathroom is small, hairdryers hair, straighteners and tongs are provided and wired in to the wall in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The pillows and bedlinens were high quality.

Yelp
This hotel has become the gold standard to which all future hotels will be measured. We were absolutely crushed to have to leave at the end of our journey. - close to everywhere we wanted to be with shops and pubs and restaurants galore - the staff were so warm, knowledgeable and accommodating - delicious well-rounded breakfast- even on the morning we had to leave before 6 am, it was waiting for us at checkout. We stayed in room 5 initially and room 12 upon our return to Manchester. We stayed in a hotel that was double the nightly cost and it doesn't hold a candle to the Cow Hollow.
