"Chic and casual, uncomplicated and comfortable, Til Schweiger’s holiday hotel boasts warm bright colours and natural materials that give it a real seafaring feel. Indeed, both the beach and the Kurpromenade are just a short walk away. The bistro serves breakfast in the mornings, home-made cakes in the afternoons and in the evenings regional/international cuisine from "Abendbrot" to "Foods & Goods"." - Tablet Hotels

It is a great place which stands up to its price. Dinner at the restaurant has been better year ago. Today I would not recommend it as fine dining and it is too expensive for an ordinary dinner. Apart from that detail, all services are excellent and the place is definitely worth visiting.

Super Location - Family rooms quite down to the essentials - but all suitable for a few nights

Great hotel and breakfast, dinner food could benefit from more attention to detail.

In urgent need of a place to recharge my batteries, I intuitively chose The Cozy Hotel - and my intuition guided me to a wonderful haven of peace! I started to relax as soon as my taxi drove up to the entrance. The well groomed exterior and lovely terrace are a promise of what's to come: the lobby, bar and restaurant are furnished with unmistakable taste and attention to detail. My room was spacious, the bed was ever so comfortable and the bedding of the highest quality. The location was so quiet at night that I slept with open windows for the first time in a long while. The staff is warm and welcoming, always attentive but never overbearing. They made me feel right at home. As a foodie, the icing on my cake was the wonderful dinner I had one night, cooked to perfection, lovingly presented and generously served. And the breakfast was even better. The fact that it is available until 11:30 is fabulous, as it gives you time to sleep in, to exercise and to still take your sweet time eating all the delicious treats on offer. Everything is extremely fresh, the various breads a delight, the cooked dishes, smoked fish, cheese and cold cuts mouth-watering. The coffee is fantastic, you can chose between filter coffee or specialities made upon request by the barista. If I were to be extremely picky, I'd say that the ultimate sweets lover might appreciate some cake for breakfast, and that a coffee maker and shampoo/conditioner in the room would make an already perfect experience even more perfect. But hey, the absence of these minor amenities does not matter one bit. I'm totally in love with the Cozy Hotel and will only return to Timmendorfer Strand if I can stay here again. Thank you for making my stay so unforgettable - batteries are fully recharged!

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were super attentive and friendly. The rooms - spacious and well furnished. The hotel has a very lovely vibe about it. Breakfast which is included in the room price was delicious, fresh and healthy. Coffee was good too. We enjoyed the hotel gym as well which is good and well equipped for a hotel gym. I would definitely recommend. Dogs are welcome - just not at breakfast.

This hotel is well-located, 300 meters from the beach. You walk in and everything is sleek, clean and the staff is super friendly. Our first day after arrival started with a good vegan breakfast. In light of covid, they resolved this nicely and they serve you a selection of breakfast foods at the table with the option to order extras. While vegan wasn't standard, they noted it down and we got a vegan option. Most days we ordered also Müsli, oat milk no problem. The day continued at the very sleek gym. Clean, well-equipped, very bright with glass walls. For dinner, the restaurant is also recommendable. We had great zucchini spaghetti and good wine. It's not super cheap but certainly good value for money. I at no point felt dissapointed and always happy to go back to the room with its comfy bed and spacious wet room. We'll be back and cannot recommend it high enough (especially if you are traveling with your dog. They are welcome!)

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. My husband joked when we entered and asked if I had furnished it 😅🙈 since it reminded him so much of our house interior. We stayed 5 days after the big summer break and had breakfast included. The buffet has a nice variety of freshly prepared foods. Their pastries and spreads are super delicious. You can reserve a parking spot beforehand (15 EUR/day) or park at the Eishalle, which is also super close to the hotel (2 minutes walk). It is not located on the main strip of Timmendorf, which we enjoyed since it was nice and relaxed. They have a spa, gym and sauna - reservations are recommended during check in due to Corona restrictions. If you are a family with little children we do not recommend the room we had (406). While it was beautifully furnished, it can't be reached with the elevator, so you need to climb a pretty steep staircase to get to it. For just us two no problem, but with our 8 month old daughter it was difficult. Especially carrying our luggage up and down. Our stroller did not make it up there - it stayed mostly in our trunk. So if your kid falls asleep in it - good luck getting it up there 😅 also the room had no balcony. We asked to change it but the hotel was booked out - good for them 😉 All in all we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel despite the staircase issue.

Staff was very friendly when we entered the restaurant. There is a comfortable feel to it when you come in which we appreciated. I think the lighting could still be improved a bit more, to make it even more cosy. Perhaps a fireplace...||||For Germany, I thought the wine prices were a bit overpriced. What I really liked was that the restaurant had non-alcoholic beer which was actually really tasty. ||||The starters are massive, so you can easily share a portion. The bread was super tasty, but the pesto was o.k. I think olive oil or a nice butter (like the Scandinavians offer it) would be better. ||||One thing I find very surprising is that in a lot of countries you can simply order tap water or you get a jug of tap water with some lemon or cucumber straight away when you sit down. In Germany you always have to buy bottled water. Yep, not helping the carbon footprint, that's for sure. ||||As a main course I had the veggie burger. Unfortunately not many veggie options on the menu. The hotel/restaurant would like to get the same feel like you would have if you were in Malibu, however there you would have a lot of healthier dishes and veggie options which you can't get here. I guess Germans love to eat meat and the whole debate about carbon footprint and antibiotics in meat hasn't really sunk in yet. Germany might need a few more years to get there. So a few more veggie options would be great. ||||The best veggie burger I ever had was a combination of sweet potato and lentils, perhaps you can change the recipe and experiment a bit. I thought the burger was too big and not tasty enough. Brioche burger buns would be better. The fries were very good. ||||The fish soup contained too much celeriac, but otherwise very tasty. The potato soup was good and the fish dishes too. ||||Overall a nice experience, but I think the restaurant has a lot more potential.
