The Crane Resort, Barbados

Overall we had a great stay at this resort in Barbados. The property and beach are beautiful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable with amazing ocean views. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The only downside was that the service could be a bit slow at times, especially during busy hours at the restaurants and bars. Aside from that, the experience was very enjoyable and I would still recommend the resort for a relaxing getaway.

This was our second week-long visit in 3 years and it was even better than the first! We love the architecture, gardens, pools, and beach--the best on the island in our view if you want quality, elegance, and privacy. The staff is helpful and friendly-everyone says hello as you pass by from groundskeeping to maid service. The food was wonderful-we ate at Azure for dinner which was outstanding and had breakfast daily there which was very good. Zen had delicious high quality sushi --just be prepared for long (but good) service. Poesia had amazing lamb and fabulous service-shout out to Craig for his wonderful timing! The gardens and buildings, and fitness center seem to have been renovated nicely since 2023. We had a hiccup early in the stay with a water leak from the room above but after a talk with the manager they had us moved to an upgraded room in the Residences which was nothing short of amazing with a full kitchen, terrace and pool. We were most grateful at the smooth handling of the situation. The only disappointment of the trip was the large quantity of sargassum, but nature can't be helped. I do believe it could have been raked daily or at minimum a path cut through to the surf to ease water entry. |A highlight this visit was an art Paint and Sip event my children and I scheduled together. Our lovely instructor was talented and personable and we all enjoyed painting, sipping punches, and chatting with other guests as we created art to take home.|We cherish our moments at the Crane and fully recommend and will be back.

Currently staying at the Crane. So far it's very good. Great apartment overlooking the ocean. Good breakfast with great view over Crane beach. Pools are fine with excellent drinks service. Evening entertainment is variable as in most places. Staff are very helpful and it's always service with a smile. We made a good choice.

The Crane Resort was the perfect place to stay to relax and unwind. Our room was spacious and generously appointed with classic furniture. We had a king sized four poster bed, chaise lounge and sofa. The suite boasts 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen and a private pool. The pool was crystal clear and always the perfect temperature to cool off. We also had a full kitchen and washer dryer. The room was cleaned every day and the workers at the resort were friendly and professional. The resort has its own tiny village with a lounge, gym, restaurants, shops and general store. There is live music at the main square every evening, which was a really nice chill vibe. There is a somewhat private beach onsite as well, with a glass elevator and chaise lounges. We were there looking for surfing waves so we took taxis to other beaches nearby (freights bay). We ate dinner on site every evening. The Carriage House was great for convenience and Zen restaurant was our absolute favorite. Barbados is warm and breezy. Coupled with the amenities and service at the Crane hotel, it’s a luxurious place to chill out for a week and escape the cold. We loved it.

We arrived and had to wait forever for our room to be ready, staff was rude about it too. The grounds are beautiful but not well maintained. There were no open beach chairs at the pool and no chairs or umbrella at the beach. The beach is terrible: small, full of seaweed and too rough to swim in. The restaurants on property are terrible. Bad food, takes forever to get the food and it is ridiculously expensive. . There was no hot water to shower for 2 out of the 4 nights. The rooms are big and nice with a gorgeous view and terrace but the plunge pool is too cold to use, the pull out couch and the roll in bed were too uncomfortable to sleep on. The king size bed was good. The location is far from everything so any taxi is at least $65 (US) and 30-40 minutes away. I would never go there again. If you must go there - rent a car so that you can drive around to other beaches and buy food at the supermarket to make on your own in the room. If you can - find a place near pebbles beach or on the west coast. We moved to the Indigo hotel and it is absolutely stunning.

We were vacationing with another couple. We stayed in a 2 bedroom interval ownership unit with a garden pool. Unit was an interior unit which made it very dark and damp in the unit. There was a dehumidifier in the 2nd bedroom but it did not help the musty almost mildew smell. Also the 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom were incredibly small and low. We also had a very hard time adjusting thermostats. The rooms have units in the ceilings that are controlled by remotes. It was very difficult to figure out how to adjust. I also found the general grounds to be lacking in maintenace. Also the beach was covered with sea grass and the winds were so high it made using the beach impractical. I was also surprised at the lower quality housing an area outside the gate. Overall I was disappointed with my stay at the Crane. Not sure if I will ever return to Barbados but if I do I will likely stay at the Hilton resort on the East Coast

My wife and I spent the last two days of our one week holiday in Barbados at the Crane Resort. We had transferred over to that hotel from another resort because we had heard great things about it and wanted to check out the property.||When we arrived at The Crane, we were greeted very warmly by the staff and check-in was rather seamless. When we were taken to our room, we were very impressed with the size and layout of the room, and the fact that it was very fresh and new. Unfortunately, we had some minor issues that we felt needed to be taken care of, When we explained these to the front desk, our concerns were immediately handled very professionally and warmly by Tennyson and Deangelo. Joan at the taxi concierge desk was also extremely helpful.||The resort has a lot to offer. it is beautiful, well laid out and well maintained. Of prime importance to us was the quality and variety of the restaurants.||certainly a resort that caught our eye and we plan on returning to at some point in time.

This is the most unprofessional company I’ve ever encountered. Our trip got canceled due to the airport shutdown and we told we could not get our money back or get credit for the over 3k room we reserved. We were told it’s NOT their problem. We tried to get another flight but was also told if we didn’t check in the next day our reservation would be cancelled. THEY ARE A RIPOFF BEWARE
