Everything was BEYOND PERFECT! This hotel is in the Heart of Beverly Hills! I loved everything about my stay. The room was super big and spacious, staff were extremely helpful and kind. Clean, beautiful, 2 min walk from everything you need. Honestly, this was the best place I've stayed in LA!!

I stayed at this hotel in August for a work trip. Overall the location and value is very good. The rooms are small but good for one person. I used the valet service for my car and there was an issue. I had to be at work by 6 am in downtown LA, when I went downstairs the person in the previous shift put my car keys in a different spot than they normally do. They weren’t able to locate ny car for an hour. I had to order an uber and they found my keys as I was getting in the uber so I had to cancel it. They said they would refund my valet and repay me for the cancelled uber. Upon check out I confirmed that they would issue the refund and they said they would. They never did, overall the customer service was good I believe it was just a mistake however it did create a big inconvenience for me as I was too late to make it to work in time for my collections so I had to go back the next day adding multiple hours to my work week. It’s not a malicious mistake but good customer service and attention to detail would’ve made me leave a 5 star review.

Google
Excellent location if thats what you need. Rooms described as charming and cozy mean really really really small.. Be prepared not to have your sheets changed or towels exchanged for your stay. And if you want towels,, hand towels or wash cloths be hopeful the public cabinet that contains them has them. Restaurant downstairs, Nua, was the highlight for a convenient breakfast.

Google
Best location. There are markets very close, farmers market etc that was good. The restaurant in hotel was good. I parked my car in same street 24 USD per all day, If I need to be in the center I would stay again. But if you need fresh air please control if the windows are opening or they are blocked with AC unit, that was very hard for an asthma patient like me, I couldn't open the window of the room. Room cleaning during the stay was extra cost. I left early bec I needed fresh air while sleeping.

Google
Basic accommodation in a top location for Beverly Hills.|Rooms are smallish & need some maintenance. We found it very difficult to move around the bed without stubbing our toes. The bathroom was a plain concrete finish which didn’t feel hygienic.|If you can get a really good deal here it’s worth considering booking.|Decor is very retro eclectic which tends to hide all the blemishes in the hotel.

The worst 4 nights of my life. I’ve never stayed in a more noisy room. This place is sold as a boutique hotel it actually doesn’t provide hotel basic services like housekeeping. Despite this, every single morning we were woken up at 7am by the vacuum or the cleaners speaking in other rooms or the hallways. The rooms are so small that you cannot even open your luggage, the windows are sealed but so thin that it sounds like they are open. In fact we were woken up multiple times by people outside our window or the trucks picking up the trash. There is no bedlights so you have to get up to turn the lights off, there is no parking except a 40$ a night valet. We paid to keep the car in the garage next door for 24$ a night. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location and the cleanliness.

Google
I paid for a superior room 4 months prior to arrival but because I booked through Expedia they gave me a downgraded room. There was old washed blood spots on the white curtains and one pillow case. The shower curtains too short so water went everywhere all ever the floor The front Desk was nice and valet was amazing. They need to update the old room an and not say I was changed rooms cause of over booking. It wasn’t overbooked till at least a month prior cause I would check if prices went down. Only really good thing was the location. But very disappointed when our friends also paid for a superior room and got theirs because they booked through the Marriott site.

Google
It was an okay experience. Some of the rooms are just sooo small. Smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. Prices are defiantly high for what you’re getting. All of the walkable shops and restaurants nearby are great. Hotel itself just isn’t great especially for the $300-400 range. I get it’s LA but 🤷🏽‍♀️ Our room code also didn’t work upon arrival.

Yelp
Walking distance to Rodeo Drive, the Beverly Hills Sign, the Farmers Market, BH Library, and more! This is the best location if you are casually visiting and don't have a car. Everything is pretty much within a mile or a short Uber ride to WeHo. The walls are not very sound insulated, so it's really easy to hear neighbors showering or cars outside. I like that you can enter your room via passcode. The hotel is also attached to NUA, which is nice. One of my pillowcases had a strange stain on it, but luckily there were 6 pillows to choose from... Overall, the room did the trick for a few days in town. Some nice touches were the Roku TV, comfy bed, and a mini-fridge. I loved the soap they provide in the shower too!

Yelp
Don't stay here! You been warned! Issues: 1. Check in is backwards. Gotta download and app. Doesn't work. Then the back up route is thru YouTube! Wth? Lol. Took 40 min to check in while the front desk girl didn't know how to work the systems either. AWFUL! 2. They wanna charge $70 for two nights valet when the garage is literally 15 ft across the street. I only paid $28 for two nights at the garage. lol. 3. The room is soooo small. Bathroom is like 4 ft wide and two ft long. The bathroom floods from the shower. Soap dispensers cut our arms bc they are misplaced. 4. The kitchen noise is so loud we heard pots and pans banging and clinging all night. No cap! Horrible sleep. 5. People actually live in this hotel! That topped it for me. Just weirded me out. Felt like a little apartment complex with two levels. 6. The restaurant workers were not friendly at all. Rude and unhappy. 7. The air did not work all night. It malfunctioned each night. Leadership- I want my money back. Who do I talk to?

Yelp
Stay away from this place and consider anywhere else. We were in town for a very big, televised event, and wanted to find somewhere quiet and cozy. We've stayed here before but this time it's under new management and was less than wonderful. For starters you have to pay them to change your bedding or refresh your room. It was loud and walls are so thin. Decorations were sloppy and sideways everywhere. The black and white wall treatment in the entry is old fabric that's falling down. I asked for a bandaid and they didn't have any. They showed us the linen closet where we could get our own sheets or towels and do it ourself. Our trashcan was full so they gave us trash bags to clean up our own trash. There was one gentleman who was working the front desk and was very pleasant. The females who worked here were rude and annoyed at any questions, other than one woman who was working at night and very kind. This place is terrible. Watch out for the rotting(?) flooring at the base of the one staircase. They have glued down a rug to cover it up.

Jesse B.

Yelp
This isn't somewhere you want to stay if you want a conventional hotel. The rooms have old windows that allow you to feel like you're standing on the street with the traffic. Also, we were able to hear people, music, and cutlery in the restaurant. We requested to leave and a refund. After asking us to sit in our room for 1.5hrs while they attempted to contact a manager and offered no solutions, we instead called the head office number to get it sorted. The head office team were great, refund processed ASAP! Would avoid.

Yelp
Probably the best option for a hotel to stay for just sleeping. If you are traveling LA Beverly hills area and want a safe location but will be outside of hotel most of time, this is a hotel for you. It's over 100yrs old hotel though it looks gorgeous inside and out. It reminds me of an old building in NYC or Brooklyn. Anyway, it's affordable price range tho the size of room is really compact. The room is very clean with minimal stuffs, like tv and fridge and coffee maker. It doesn't have a microwave. One thing you should be mindful is, This place doesn't have an elevator. So if u must use an elevator, this isn't a hotel for u. But, I will def come back when I need to stay for few days in LA. The crew was nice too. Unlike some bad reviews said the front desk in this location was there 24/7. There are plenty restaurants in walking distance for the hotel. The location and affordable fee make it perfect combo for the traveler. Again it's rather not for a family. It's for maybe a couple who would use the hotel just for sleeping. But then, cuz of it, I didn't see any kids during the stay and the hotel was relatively quiet.

Yelp
This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my 42 years on this planet. Not only were we not able to check in after a 3 hour drive, we got treated like we didn't have a reservation and that we had insufficient funds for incidentals from the manager Veronica, she was not only unhelpful but didn't even bother to care. We also received the worst customer service from Dexter, the technician who was raising his voice at us and talking over us. 6 different cards got declined, after we proved we had a valid reservation for two nights, while simultaneously also proving our cards from different banks were not locked up. The front desks computer system was not functioning properly and instead of resolving the issue by letting us into our room they had us spend over an hour going through a rabbit hole. Extremely disappointed in this hotel and would not recommend to my worst enemy. Buyer BEWARE!!! PS. We ended going around the corner to another hotel and they were able to put a $500 hold on my card to get us a room. We then went to dinner, now at 10:30pm, and used multiple cards just to make sure they worked and prove to us we were not in the wrong.

Yelp
I stayed here for business and it was perfect. Cute, comfortable, beautiful little Mediterranean cafe Nua on site that makes wonderfully fresh squeezed orange juice each morning. Patrick at the desk was very helpful as I navigated the area. And the valet parking attendant was friendly and kind. Definitely on my go-to list for business travel. Also, the art! Love love love the art that fills the walls.

Yelp
Definitely will return. The rooms are super clean and very roomy. I loved all the outside sitting areas. My husband and I enjoyed having our meals outside. The employees at the front desk are not friendly, but that really did t matter. We were there to enjoy some downtime. We found a little treasure to stay at.

Yelp
The staff is so amazing. They even provided extra service at the end and gave us a digestif on the house. Very hospitable and personable staff. The food was really good too!

Yelp
Very disappointed. I had money stolen from inside my bag at the hotel. It was well kept away and not a easy find.

Yelp
I stayed here recently, about three weeks (according to a bartender) after it became a Sonder property. The hotel itself is nicely done, with great photography lining the walls and some other quirky art. The room was nice, carpet free and with that distressed concrete look on the bathroom floor. Given that it was about $200 while every place around was at least two or four times that, I didn't mind at all that the room was a bit small. The bathroom doors have opaque frosted glass so, if you are with a second guest, the light could affect them if they're sleeping and you need to make a midnight potty visit. Despite the room being near the busy corner, it was insulated well enough that noise was not intrusive to me. Not only is there no digital key but it a real brass key on a brass keychain! Note: There is no elevator/lift. There is a handicapped entrance but there are still some steps (up or down) to reach the floors with rooms. My only real problem with the place is that it still seems to be going through growing pains in its relationship with Sonder, a company that seems to thrive on minimizing staff by using technology, but forcing me to download an app for, worse, forcing the elderly (and handicapped) visitors in the lobby at the same time to call a Boston number to deal with a helper to help them download that app and set up an account isn't conducive to the older clientele more likely to visit this Beverly Hills establishment.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE!! (this message is on behalf of my mom who does not know how to work yelp nor have any interest in learning, LOL) I came to this place and it was a horror show. The photos they showed on the sight made it look completely idyllic but when I arrived, the space was so small I could barely walk around the bed, no closet, just a small cupboard that maybe a toddler could fit a week's worth of clothes in but certainly no adult. The bathroom was gross, a cement prison shower- with a steel thing in the middle that I nearly cut my foot on! No overhead light and NO AIR CONDITIONING. These conditions are not only awful, but they're unsafe! I am a senior citizen and I'm honestly considering suing for elder abuse. The worst part about it, though, was the attitudes of the Sonder employees. They had ZERO empathy, refused to give us our money back... this is hands down the WORST travel experience of my life. One star is too generous!

Eddy W.

Yelp
The worst, believe me, the worst experience I have had in a hotel, after the Marriot Renaissance in New York, has been at the  Sonder, @CrescentHotel, at Los Angeles, California It is not Airbnb, but it is not a hotel either and although, the reservation was made by @AmericanExpress Travel Services USA and they promise you a luxury hotel, Frankly they have no idea what they are selling First: the hotel has no reception. Everything you have to do it online and they give you a code to enter your room. Second: it has no parking. It does not have an elevator to the second floor Third: It does not have room service and normally, there is no one to take care of you It is an old building in the best area of Beverly Hills, adapted to hotel  which look like roadside motels. The bathroom looks like those in a penitentiary at the movies, so small, with that you can't dry it, in the same bathroom after taking a shower The shower is so small that it could fit half a person Decorayion of the bathroom is gray cement wall and that's all To watch TV, you have to connect your phone or computer to Chrome cast. Download the app and give your card numbers in advance The corner where the hotel is located, is extremely noisy.  Beverly Hills has become  as a track for drag racing by Lamborghinis, Ferraris and other sports  noise cars. Just at this corner they turn around Returning to the hotel, the room is truly and embarrassingly ugly The worst disappointments, don't make cleaning or housekeeping service  They do it the day you leave and before the next guest arrives I am not sure about the sanitation measures they are using If you want them to housekeeping or room cleaning, they surprise you by charging an extra $ 30 USD per day or per service The receptionist, if you have one, is a person with zero knowledge of hotel services who simply answers 3 questions and if necessary, teaches you to open your room  with a code because there is no key to access. You get the code thru internet   I still don't understand if it is a hotel or what, because it has being reserved by American Express as a luxury hotel. Either is not an Airbnb, but it pretend to be like they pretend to be like, with out kitchen. My recommendation is that you do not be fooled, neither by the recommendation of American Express Travel Services, neither by the rating of "luxury hotel" on your own webpage, because it is not

Yelp
I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, ESPECIALLY FEMALES WHO ARE STAYING SOLO for safety reasons. I mean it. I basically forced my husband to come to LA with me and thank God he did. The front desk gives you codes to enter your room. I was given 3 different codes because the first two didn't work. I want to say- this in itself is very unsafe. Anyone can punch in numbers and get to your room. What happened to the old school cards? Secondly, the front desk individual is hardly there. Thirdly, there is NO NUMBER TO CONTACT FRONT DESK DIRECTLY IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY or to even ask questions. I googled for a number and the only way to get to front desk is through the main corporate/reservation number. The bottom line... a man tried breaking into my room at 10:15PM. Luckily I had the chain on the door for safety otherwise this older man would have gone inside the room and done God knows what. The question is how did this man know the code to my designated room??? Umm creepy and shady. He must have been looming around the hotel and overheard me say my code when I had difficulties entering my room. Had my husband not been with me, and had I not left the chain on the door, I probably wouldn't be writing this review right now. He could have been a rapist or thief. No staff to call. I was PETRIFIED. I'm still in shock. Imagine waking up with a stranger coming into your room at 10:15PM? This man couldn't have been a guest because he would have entered a different code to the room assigned. **LADIES, IF YOU ARE GOING TO STAY HERE, TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU, DO NOT STAY ALONE HERE.

Yelp
Amazing hospitality. Super nice staff, very accommodating. They helped me find places around to dine & had such welcoming personalities.

Yelp
Pros: Amazing location. Walking distance to everything. Well decorated particularly outside and corridors. Valet parking though cost extra was convenient. Cons: lacking basic amenities. Heat did not work and we were freezing Had to pay for TV, coffee maker did not work, had to pay 45 dollars to have room cleaned. Strange sleeping accommodations left one of my kids sleeping on the floor on top of couch pillows and the other on the couch. Overall we had a decent stay due to the great location.
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Cheap everything. It's more of an Airbnb or a hostel than a hotel. You will hear every conversation in the hallway and the restaurant staff cleaning the dishes. Honestly feels like a scam. We booked the most expensive room available and highly regret it. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Yelp
PLEASE PLEASE do not stay here!! I took a little weekend vacation to LA with my boyfriend and we are beyond disappointed :( We arrived on a Thursday night after a day of driving and museum hopping to find out that our room was not ready and there was a mix up with our reservation. Initially, it was not a big deal but we ended up waiting in the lobby for an HOUR to only be put in a downgraded room for the night. We were told things were sorted out that night and that our room would be ready to be moved into the next morning. Friday comes and our room was STILL not ready. After some waiting we were given our check in information and STILL DID NOT GET PLACED IN THE ROOM WE PAID FOR. The bathrooms for both nights (although clean) were tiny and had the tiniest (and also cement?!) shower I had ever been in. This was extremely frustrating as we had already been downgraded the previous night and was not what we initially paid for. Friday's room was only slightly bigger than the previous night and was not what we paid for at all. Also, our room this night was on the second floor and they don't have elevators so we had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs. My boyfriend and I are usually very patient people when it comes to these matters but SONDER did not repair their mistakes and we will not be staying here again. I do appreciate how kind the front desk people were and I am aware it was not their fault, but SONDER corporately definitely has some things to work on.

Ian W.

Yelp
I showed up to the hotel and they cancelled my reservation out of no where right before 4pm. Person at front desk was clueless, called their corporate number and no one was able to confirm why. Multiple people waiting to check-in at 4pm and rooms not ready. Total mess of a hotel. Strongly recommend avoiding.

Yelp
We chose to stay at The Crescent for the proximity to city hall (where we got married) and Nua (the hotels amazing restaurant where we had our reception lunch) and I'm so happy we did! Robbie at the front desk is an amazing human, who was so warm and welcoming when I was coming by to check out the place. In fact, everyone who works there is terrific. It's a very laid back vibe, you immediately feel comfortable. The room was adorable, all of our guests that saw it said the same thing "I'd live here!!" (I would too, honestly.) The location can't be beat, it's walking distance of everything Beverly Hills has to offer. Shopping, dining, drinks, groceries.... My room was very clean, very cute, and very comfortable, and right down the hall from the restaurant, which was so convenient! A very chill, eclectic, modern boutique hotel. I would 1000% stay here again!!!

Yelp
This bar is a charming and intimate space at the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills. The foyer walking into the hotel is small yet inviting. As you walk up a small set of stairs you begin to feel the vintage ambience which continues as you start walking down a short hallway to the bar. The bar has only a few seats and is surrounded by a handful of small tables. I felt like I walked into a cozy living room. The walls are lined with books and lovely decor. We took seats at the bar. Our bartender, Marcus, was absolutely charming. He made our evening night cap fun and interesting. We got to chat about an array of "Beverly Hills" places to dine and drink at. We had no clue last call is like at 9:00 pm and restaurants really shut down for the evening. I like to stay up a bit later when visiting other towns, so it was cool to find out which restaurants are open an hour or two later, which Marcus helped us our with. The signature cocktails are delicious and made with care. When we get back to California this week we'll definitely visit Marcus at the Crescent Hotel.

Yelp
Always a great time at this hotel! I've been coming here for years. You don't have to deal with the stress of a lot of people or crazy prices. The photos are sooo cool & I just found out you can buy them! Every room is comfortable & you don't have to walk all day to get to your room. I'm always treated like a king here, so I'll def be back soon! The staff is super friendly - Jonathan /Michelle thanks again for everything. Only thing that kinda sucks is the $30 fee but you get breakfast with it. But overall, it's a 5 star experience everytime! Enjoy your stay!

Yelp
I AM GIVING THIS HOTEL A 0 For taking advantage of small mom and pop businesses like our coffee business who has remained completely faithful each month with delivering coffee beans to provide fir their clientele, even at the last minute when they gave run out of beans for their guests. Their thanks is to stiff us with payment if nearly 2,000 dollars thanks to their owner Greg who makes no effort to pay his bills. He uses the excuse of Covid, but let's be honest eat here... to make a payment plan does not take much!! Highly recommend NOT stating here or giving your business to snakes like their hotel! I am sure their hospitality is no different with guests!!!

Yelp
My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills. It is the cutest boutique hotel. We were greeted in our room with a bottle of wine. Mega win. There was also a little gift. The bed was incredibly comfortable as were the pillows. We had a wonderful night sleep! The service was impeccable and we loved the breakfast. The breakfast may have been the best thing. The bagels were delicious and we loved the whole spread! We sat out on the patio and one of the employees turned on the heat lamp. The best! A woman in a parking structure recommended that we park at Whole Foods. Definitely beat valet parking. We loved the hotel so much that we made a reservation to go back in March for my birthday! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Please be warned, this 'hotel' is a hostel at best and 'Sonder' is a total sham. I booked and paid for a premium, large room and was assigned a room so small I cannot even open my two suitcases at the same time. The first thing I noticed was earplugs next to the bed (only 1 set for 2 people), which was a red flag... we learned later that these are provided bc it's so noisy all the time. Noise is not mentioned anywhere on their website or App. I contacted Sonder and was bounced between 3 'customer service' reps via their chat to tell them about the tiny room and how disappointing the accommodation was and I was told that I was assigned the type of room I booked. My reservation (on the app) has photos of the room type I booked and paid for (much larger, two windows instead of 1 and with more furniture), yet my invoice doesn't have a room type written on it. At the time of booking I didn't think anything of the lack of description on the invoice bc I've never arrived at a hotel and been this shocked at the reality of the place. When I brought this up with CS, I was never provided with any evidence of the room type I booked... just the total cost -which was for the premium room. I was told the photos are generic on their site and do not represent the rooms... if I wanted to 'upgrade' I would have to pay the difference- which considering I paid the highest rate available at the time of booking, I'm not sure I understand how their could be a higher rate. I was not offered ANY compensation or even an apology. I will never stay at another Sonder in any city or country and will be making sure that my family and friends never make the same mistake I have by staying at Sonder either. Below 1 star quality across the board and dreadful customer service as well. Not once was I offered a solution, just told that what I know I booked and paid for... was not actually what I booked. A truly pathetic excuse for a company and customer service as well. This is a dreadful place to stay- do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Yelp
Find another place to stay. I came here for a work trip on a Thursday. Upon checking in, my room hadn't been cleaned; there was hair in the shower and the sink. There was a large red stain on the bed sheet. I told the front desk, he was kind and offered a free bottle of wine and got housekeeping to clean the room. Upon returning, the room still had hair. Our room was right above the restaurant and had windows that were broken, they didn't close all the way. Later that night, there was private party that rented the restaurant. This was a loud party- there were speakers set up (right below our room at that) and music played till 12am ON A THURSDAY NIGHT. Told the front desk I came here for an interview, specifically booked this hotel because it said they enforce quiet hours after 9pm. The front desk person who works at night told me "I'm sorry but they'll be out by 12am." I asked him why they would advertise they enforced quiet hours when they had no intention of enforcing it to which I just got another "sorry." This front desk worker (different from the morning) didn't try to resolve the issue in anyway. This place left a lot to be desired for how much you pay. The only positive experiences I had was the AM front desk worker and the breakfast were amazing. Room cleanliness and noise and the general shabbiness of the room we got was a problem. Would recommend staying at SIXTY Beverly Hills as they both were similar in price/location when I booked. Especially don't stay here if you have a work trip, quiet hours are not enforced.

Yelp
To be clear. This is no longer The Crescent this is now owned by a company called Sondar, which is a joke of a hotel brand. There are no services here, literally nothing. Housekeeping is an extra charge which is the most ridiculous nonsense I've ever heard of in a hotel. The front desk told us this is not a normal hotel. It's more like an air bnb. For the price per night we would have paid a little more and stayed at Mr. C, a much nicer full service hotel. I stayed her several times when it was the crescent, it's sad to see how it's been let go since. The carpet in the halls was dirty, looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in days. Trash was accumulating in the halls, the bathroom looks like a prison cell, the window to our room overlooked a dumpster area which was so loud all night until midnight because of the restaurant below cleaning up. It looks so dirty, Can't believe people are being served food from this area. Overall would never stay here again.

Yelp
HORRIBLE customer service - in fact NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. You can't change anything or ever reach a human being. Unreasonable cancellation policies... NEVER AGAIN!

Yelp
Love. Love. Love. First...the staff here made my stay so wonderful! They were welcoming and accommodating when I needed them...but it still felt like a more laid back experience. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in L.A.! Excellent location...super cool atmosphere...and comfy, unique rooms.

Yelp
Small boutique hotel. Informed front desk about the issues with the room. (You can hear everything from the room above!!! You will not be able to get a great night sleep. In addition the room was not clean at all! They did not really care much. "Sorry to hear that". They don't know much what customer service means. They consider themselves a hotel. But they are far from that. For the rate they charge you can easily find a hotel in the area at higher caliber and for better or same rate. Specially with the lack of customer service!! Response was "if you had a car valet with us, we would take care of it". So since I did not have one that means customer service and accommodation stops there. Good to know!

Yelp
Literally the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Staff are SO rude, I was flabbergasted by the way I was treated by them. There are so many other fabulous boutique hotels in that area- definitely AVOID! Nobody should be treated the way I was and I will definitely be taking affirmative action.

Yelp
I don't like to leave bad reviews however this place definitely deserves it. The rooms are extremely small and the service is absolutely horrible. Management should not be in the hospitality industry. They have a lot of hidden fees that they don't tell you and when you question them they are beyond rude. I was charged what they call a resort fee when this place has absolutely no amenities or facilities only tiny rooms. When I asked why I was charged a resort fee in a place where it's in no way a resort instead of explaining they where just rude. I'm ok with paying fees as long as they are upfront and explained properly. I stayed at this place because of the initial rate however when I checked out I paid almost double of the advertised rate. Look at all the bad reviews they have before you book here and you will realized they all say similar things.

Yelp
Amazing experience at The Crescent Hotel. I came in pretty late while in limbo looking for where I would rest. I called The Crescent to inquire without any luck for availability BUT the front desk had told me they did have a smaller room available called a The Itty Bitty Room. I thought that was funny and I said that's no problem I'll take it. They had a self park garage right across the street which was only $12 for the night. Checking in was simple, breakfast was offered included with my stay which I believe was a $30 cost but definitely worth it. The room was definitely small but comfortable. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely be back. Breakfast was great, the other guests were very friendly. Excellent place to stay.

Yelp
I was very happy with this hotel. Its not fancy...but its fun! The rooms provide all you need...will note... a nice bed that was really comfortable! I loved the location....with in a few blocks were shops & restaurants. Felt like a little European hotel. There are little issues...there wasn't a towel bar in the bathroom. The closet/ hall way was sort of dark and not well lit. BUT REALLY...if you are a normal flexible type person....and want a really nice fun place at a reasonable rate for the area....book it! easy check in and out and someone is around if you need them.

Yelp
Update - Connie took my 1 star review and turned it into a 5 star review. Thank you for having empathy and understanding what the customer experience should feel like. ---------------- Want to get woken up at 9:30am to them cleaning air ducts by your door, stay here. Want to not be ADA compliant, stay here. Want to be greeted by a valet guy that has his girlfriend hanging out with him and doesn't pay attention or even talk to you? Stay here. Want to have your room temp set at 58 degrees with no way to turn it down? Stay here? Want to be in a room so small, you have nowhere to open up your travel size suitcase? Stay here. We got this room off Hotels Tonight for $149. Plus tax was $179. Plus hotel tax, $25 fee and $30 Parking was a little over $250. All I wanted was a good night sleep. The rude 9:30am awakening of the air ducts cleaning was horrible. Only pros were nice front desk, cute decor inside, free breakfast, WiFi and water (not really free since you pay the $25 service charge for it) and location was walkable to shops and restaurants. Besides that. Never again.

Yelp
Their AC was not working and I ended up having a panic attack because despite opening the window I still felt like I couldn't breathe. It doesn't help that the room is tiny. I understand the history of the hotel and appreciate the art deco style, but for me the non working AC on a humid night was a complete deal breaker. The bed was reasonably comfortable and they did have complementary Philosophy products in the bathroom. They also have a lounge type of area on premise which makes it convenient to walk downstairs, grab a comfy couch and enjoy a cocktail. It is also located within walking distance of many restaurants and bars on Rodeo. The on site restaurant serves delicious food. Parking is valet only and the staff was overall very nice. They do not have an onsite pool or jacuzzi. For me the room was too claustrophobic and did not have working AC, pretty big deal breakers especially for $200+ a night.

Yelp
I stayed here 3 days while my wife had business a few blocks over. The valet was courteous and quick. The young woman and the front desk was very nice and patiently went over the ins and outs of the place. She allowed me to check in several hours early (because I had nothing else to do). The hotel is this quaint little place with small but fashionable rooms. Its a budget in Beverly Hills, so you need to go into it with that mindset. Like most hotels in the area, there are fees and costs tacked onto everything. Hotel fees, valet fees, drinking-expensive-water bottle-in-the-room fee, etc. Just know that. It shouldn't come as a major surprise to anyone, its all there in the fine print when you reserve the room. And I'm sure the front desk person would be happy to outline it for you prior to check in. Rooms DO have AC and heating, contrary to a previous review I read. There's a thermostat on the wall that you need to turn on when you arrive. A monkey could figure it out. Rooms are on the dimmer side and the bathrooms are small. But again, you're in Beverly Hills and you're not shelling out $500 a night. Free drinks during happy hour, a very nice breakfast everyday, and a wonderful outdoor area to sit, drink, eat, and relax. All the staff were friendly.

Yelp
I've stayed at Hotel Crescent in the past but this time knocked it out of the park. They are so thoughtful with everything going on...Winston, James and Juan were incredibly welcoming and kind.

Yelp
The Crescent is a charming boutique hotel. From the outside it looks like someone's house. I was in BH for a wedding and pretty much the whole hotel was booked by guests of the wedding so I was able to see friends I haven't seen in a while. I liked that this was a couple blocks away from Rodeo. Rooms are minimalist and sleekly designed but are a bit small. I didn't mind since I don't take up much room anyway. I liked that they had a room iPod that played great chillout music. They also have fruit as a room welcome - granny smith apples that were stylishly displayed in a tall glass. The featherbed was super comfortable and warm on the chilly nights I stayed there. The lounge area was cozy and my favorite was the pebbled fireplace that served both outdoor and indoor lounge. I went down to the bar area for breakfast one morning and had an egg, tomato with balsamic sourdough sandwich. YUM! The hotel staff were friendly and acommodating - from the front desk to the bar, everyone was really nice and laid back. The only complaint was that since it was like being in someone's house you could hear everything. The walls are thin. To the right of me someone was coughing up a lung all night, to the left of me people were talking loud. Oh and in the morning I heard someone upstairs clomping around, washing his face and more....A LOT more. Minus 1 star for the thin walls. I am so glad I brought my earplugs.

Yelp
I want to start off by saying that I never stayed here so I am only commenting on the indoor-outdoor bar/lounge area. This is a cute boutique hotel in beverly hills that has a nice lounge area that offers...get this...s'mores where you can roast them yourself! It's such a simple and awesome idea for dessert but this is like the only place that has it. I must say it is on the pricey side and they use hershey chocolate but its a really nice place to kick-back, have a few drinks, and enjoy such a fun dessert with good company. It has good ambiance and a really laid-back, home-like feel. Picture of the DIY s-mores: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rO-PaZQKLlYvh0-vU8UOLg#zPjw7iI8y3HbOwNcc_3PRQ

Yelp
On some nights, it's a bit of a scene in this quiet Beverly Hills neighborhood. Located in a boutique hotel, this bar / lounge is small, and modern. You can definitely relax and talk around the sofa area without people bothering you. There is a small fireplace, and the decor is mostly white with candles. Usually the lounge area is more quiet than the outside patio area. The patio is pretty nice on a warm night, sometimes a small crowd around the front area. The bar is very small, about 2 or 3 bar stools, the service is good. Martinis, $14. Always lucked out here with the street parking, right around the corner. Some nights, the music they play is pretty club like, with hard beats. I've also heard mellow, sexy house as well. The crowd is mid-twenties and up. This place is quaint, and has a low-key energy, more so than say my Hollywood favs like Falcon or Bar Marmount. The Crescent is more what you want to make of it. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by. Four stars for the elegant, cozy factor.

Yelp
We're staying here at Crescent this weekend because the Beverly Hills hotel was a bit out of our budget! If you know going in that the rooms are small and there are few amenities, than you'll be fine. We actually lucked out and are staying in a more spacious room than most. Stay at Crescent for location and to have a place to hang your hat... it's clean and the staff is friendly enough but this is not a five star hotel by any means.

Yelp
There is something about a little out of the way bar that does it for me, places exactly like the lounge inside the Crescent Hotel. The location is in the busy portion of Beverly Hills but it has an "off the beaten path" feel to it. I can't speak to the hotel rooms but as far as the bar goes, I'm a fan. It's chic, intimate, mellow, with a modernized swanky cocktail list. Great wine too. Perfect place for a little one on one time or a group looking for an upscale cocktail hour. Fireplace inside, comfortable chairs, another fireplace outside on the patio. Music at just the right volume; notable and complimentary to the ambiance, not overpowering. The bar staff was stellar, they mix a mean drink. I'm into it. Beverly Hills boasts a number of great drinkeries and I'd toss this bar in that conversation any time. As I said, it gives me a little vibe that it's under the radar compared to some of the other bars/lounges in the vicinity. I stopped by on a Thursday night so maybe it's a bit more lively on a Friday or Saturday, but personally I liked the low-key atmosphere. I know my booze and what the Crecent served up was pricey but worth it, you get what you pay for. I think their signature cocktails were around $15. I'm impressed, I have a feeling I'll be back soon.

Yelp
Not worth it. Keep in-mind that you'll be charged a resort fee and an additional $30 per guest for breakfast + happy hour which are required. So, for $330/night (w/tax ) with a bed that was okay, a shower with the weakest dribble of water ever, it was just not worth it. Yes, it's quirky artsy and cute. The courtyard is lovely, definitely take full-advantage of happy hour and breakfast. But it's kind of crappy that most guests truly seem to be getting there monies worth (and ordering as many drinks as they can and taking food to-go) because it's damn over-priced for what it is. Charge $250 or even $275 (w:tax), get rid of the ridiculous resort fee, and allow guests to purchase breakfast if they want to. My glass of grapefruit juice, bagel and yogurt would cost $15 max. at a restaurant

Yelp
This review is for the bar/lounge/restaurant. Planned a Sunday afternoon event here for about 40 people. I was shocked by how easy it was to book the event. One phone call and a couple e-mails. Their policies were simple and the contract even simpler. We arrived to find the outdoor patio with the lounge chairs and sofas reserved for us. The staff was attentive and handled our group superbly. The drinks were great! The food was great and everyone had an amazing time! Most of thetime I was sipping on Proseccos, but I did have one raspberry mojito. They only had one light beer Amstel light but other than that they have a full bar. I liked the curry burger sliders, the pizza, garlic fries and the buffalo chicken skewers. I could have done without the caprese salad, the arugula salad and the tuna tartare won tons. Valet is $7, but that's totally fine by me especially since I had to pay $16 the day before at the Viceroy in Santa Monica. If boutique hotels in Bev. Hills are charging $7 where does a Santa Monica hotel get off charging more than double that? I've got to hand it to the Staff at Crescent they were amazing! Had they been MIA, or rude or dropped the ball we would have felt it, but it seemed they were constantly on top of things! BRAVO! I forgot to use my KCRW Fringe Benefits card for a 15% discount on the food...boooo!

Yelp
If you are a light sleeper DO NOT STAY HERE! Holy crap the room is smaller then a NYC dorm and the walls are paper thin. I've been up since 5AM listening to my roommate I mean room next door showering. The hotel is small and cute but so not worth all the noise. WHAT ARE PEOPLE BANGING AT 5AM?!

Yelp
Cleanliness = 4-stars Service = 5-stars Amenities = 5-stars Bed Comfort = 4-stars I've always had a soft spot for this boutique hotel. I haven't been here in 6+ years and it's changed quite a bit, but I think for the better (they didn't have a restaurant the last time and the price was about $100 less/nt). It feels more refined, but still has that small boutique hotel feel with a high quality of service and attention to detail. Location is optimal for shopaholics and people seeking close proximity to the Rodeo drive area. This hotel has 35 rooms on two floors. Their front porch is a nice oasis with comfortable lounge chairs, cool music and in the evenings, lots of gorgeous candlelight. Rooms are on the small side and pretty basic (no frou frou pictures on the wall or anything like that), but what is in there is stylish and provides comfort - a feather comforter covered queen size bed, small LCD tv, ipod hooked up to a JBL system filled with trendy and fun music (ie Bebel Gilberto and a ton of others that I can't think of), a robe, a vase filled with fresh apples, decent hotel sundries including a loofah, fun LA magazines to peruse... Parking is Valet and costs $28/nt. Service is friendly and attentive. We had an inside room with a view of the building next door and a tree. Be aware that it tends to get a little loud if you have a room street side or on the bottom level. They don't have an elevator to the second floor. I definitely enjoy the more intimate feel of this hotel over one of the larger places in the area, but I'm a boutique hotel kinda gal. Didn't eat the food, but it smelled really good. Wasn't sure how I felt about paying $10 for a side of garlic fries.....they do offer full room service as well.

Yelp
This is a place with history, built in the art deco era, across from what used to be the old headquarters of paramount pictures. It was once used as dressing and changing rooms for actors. So the floorplans and smells and cozy intimacy hearken back to an earlier time, of the early 1920s. When you come in through the front door, a narrow staircase leads you up to the frnt desk - where the ceiling is low and the crown moulding is new, but in a style almost 100 years back in time. This area used to be a private dining room, but was converted into the main lobby. Prior to this the main entrance was where the outside patio now is. Our room, 205, on the second floor and center of the hallway, was not only blissfully quiet but we slept in sweet paradise with our soft microfiber sheets, luxurious down comforter, down pillows, and pillow top bed. The dark hardwood flooring, the adjustable mood lighting, and tasteful asian inspired decor all added to our comfort and ease. The size of the room did not seem a factor. The bathroom, albeit quite small, had a wonderful shower with fantastic shower head, water pressure, and Philosophy products. I loved the lounge and bar downstairs, it felt like a friend's inviting living room, especially with the fireplace, piano, and high backed leather chairs. And yes, the service here is outstanding and everyone makes you feel so welcome and at home. Not to mention just ordering something as simple as a bowl of fruit ($4) will give you a full meal with raspberries, bananas, strawberries, blackberries, bananas, blue berries, and tangerine. It's the little things, its the complimentary mini chocolate croissants, the fresh cut bouquets of orchids and pink roses on the tables, and the charmingly sweet and endearing bartender Monica. I am a true fan of this place, and as a guest enjoy the fact that I can have a free cocktail and appetizer during happy hour here. I will definitely return!
