On the Grid : Captain Vintage

"Out of all the vintage shops on Magnolia Boulevard, Captain Vintage is bar far the brightest colored. This uniquely odorous hard to miss blue palace of Star Wars collectibles, typewriters and oddball toys from the last generation has an ample supply of retro Underwoods and brick phones tightly packed on every square inch of shelf space. If you're the type of vintage shopper who likes to dig and unearth that long forgotten gem, Captain Vintage might be your place." - Jennifer Beatty

To be honest I can’t say I enjoyed myself. I spent more than I meant to, and later found the same goods online for a better price. But they did have a wide selection to browse plus a dedicated section to local vendors. Staff was nice, but stared a bit too much. felt like I left with bad vibes. Tbh if you go to this shop come with some protection on you. 🍀

Google
I almost never write reviews but after plentiful and meaningful trips here, I felt utterly compelled to. This is the only place I feel secure purchasing from when it comes to supplies for my craft. The selections here are wonderfully extensive and inclusive to all types of magick, so even if you’re just popping in to look around, you’ll find something that peeks your curiosity. Not only are they suitably equipped with their eclectic range of products (herbs, oils, crystals, books, tarot cards, etc.), they’re extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to narrowing down what it is your looking for which can be quite comforting to any newcomer looking to learn more. Sal is such a delight to speak with and so generous in his wisdom that coming to this store is now a must every time I find myself in this area. Such beautiful energy from this place all around.

This witchy shop is the best around! I love the owners and the workers here they have such a nice vibe to them it makes it such a pleasure going here! And great classes and events they put Soo much effort and attention to them!

Today was my first time coming inside, bought two things. My experience there was amazing, very helpful staff. I felt good vibes, and I am even more interested in coming back and looking around some more

Love love love this shop! One of the best apothecaries in California and they consistently have the best selection of occult and esoteric books I've seen. Amazing guests, lectures, workshops, rituals, you name it!

Google
First time in, intriguing little shop. I read the reviews before I went (both good & bad) but the vibe and energy were all good during my visit. Met Sal, cool dude and found exactly what I was looking for.

Jazmine

Google
I went there last week and the shop was so beautiful on the inside, I got these crystals which were fairly priced and other goodies. I will be going back because I simply love this place and I don’t think any other shop compres. I posted these on my Instagram and many people agreed that the crystals I got were very pretty. insta: @hexedneko

Google
I have read a review hinting that the store owners were not friendly due to them being Latino. This could not be more FALSE. I have been shopping here for years and have never had a bad experience myself being a Latina myself. Store also has a few options for those that are interested in brujeria. Bought a few novena candles and books on mexican folk magic at this shop and when asking for assistance or information on certain items or herbs have always been meet with nothing but friendly and helpful advice and recommendations. This shop is open to everyone from all walks of life and has something for everyone. Ive also attended a few rituals and events that are open to the public and they have always been warm and welcoming to all. Vendors/ participants/ helpers of all races work at these events and rituals including people from Latin descent. To assume that the owners are treating you different because you are Latino without the evidence to back that claim up is the true disappointment here. You cant just throw things like that out there when there are people in the world actually experiencing discrimination for being Latino.

Yelp
If you haven't visited The Crooked Path on Magnolia Blvd in Burbank you have definitely been missing out. I came in to get candles and was helped by the sweetest lady named Mia. Mia had the best energy and was so helpful helping me find exactly what I needed. This store makes me feel like I'm in a stop on Dyagon Alley and where anything is possible.

Yelp
Everyone was so wonderful at The Crooked Path. Super friendly and genuine. I definitely will be going back soon.

Yelp
I drive all of the way from Chatsworth or sometime Playa Del Rey. This place has everything I need and more. The owners are great and very helpful when I am trying to find the right spell for my intents and it they do not have a pre-made kit for my purpose. They have been very helpful with taking the time to help me put together the right combination of candles, burn sticks, oils, cone burners, stones and other items to make the spell kit specific to my current needs. It is a very busy story and sometimes you have to wait a while for them to have the time to work with you one on one. But the wait is worth it to get/create the right spell kit. I highly recommend their store.

Yelp
Terrible customer service the dude behind the counter highly unpleasant, just bad vibes. Made sure not to touch anything so as to not take any of THAT with me lol... couldn't get out of there quick enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice store, and variety. Service was awesome. Lots of interesting finds. Well priced. I would definitely return to shop here.
google avatar

Yelp
I drove sooo far for this place only to find that the staff is soooo condescending and just straight up talked shit about customers. Within the first few minutes of me and my friend being inside I overheard the owner? Say that as long as we buy something then they didn't care. When I asked a question they were condescending and rude. I mean just the absolute shittiest customer service I've ever had to deal with. They were all friendly towards other customers except for us and we were the only Latinos there. OK. Worst experience at an apothecary I've ever had. I won't ever return here, I honestly wish I could return my items to get my money back I feel like no amount of cleansing will remove the nasty energy I got from this shop. Really disappointed.

Yelp
The Crooked Path is no joke and they will meet your needs for any magickal practice. The ambiance is warm and welcoming it isn't a doom and gloom type of vibe. The store is rather large and has a very organized layout. The shop also offers classes and events to mark the sabbaths. If you're devoted or curious about Hekate this IS the place for you. The temple to Hekate is amazing and be sure to come by to check it out. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and is there to assist with any questions.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing place. The owners are great! The selection is great! Most of the items they sell are made by locals which I can appreciate far more than House of Intuition or any of the gimmicky stores. The service is amazing and the value is worth it. I drove all the way from Inglewood to visit and I will do it again.

Yelp
I have been to The Crooked Path multiple times as a customer and have always had a great experience. The Crooked Path is unique in its atmosphere and specializes in true occult tools for the occult practitioner whether a beginner or advanced. A 5 star rating for the crooked Path!

Yelp
It's nice but way overpriced. Can find similar stores with similar items for a fraction of the price.

Yelp
I love this place. The vibe is chill, the knowledge is real, and the passion is present. Nothing about this place feels like a gimmick or an upsell. Questions are always answered throughly and respectfully. Sometimes I pop in just to catch my breath for 5 minutes because, for me, the atmosphere feels so at ease. They always have what I'm looking for whether it be an actual item or two or just a place to calm my brain. I can see where people might think Sal would come off as condescending or rude, but I promise you, he's not. He's just super smart about his field, and that passion may come across as overbearing. Have a meaningful conversation with Sal and you'll realize that he's actually a really cool human. He and Popi balance each other out quite nicely. This place might not be for everyone but it's worth checking out for yourself.

Yelp
Been here a couple times and it's very average. Great for supplies for spells or buying expensive jewelry but they have a very limited tarot or oracle deck section. Staff is kind but not always helpful or knowledgeable. Vibes could be better- many people coming in to just stand around and talk to the single clerk that is on duty so check out can be a pain. If it's the closest thing to you like it is to me- great for once in a while but really not worth it in the long run.

Yelp
The shop has a nice selection however the male employee behind the counter was incredibly rude, condescending, and stuck-up. When two ladies came in looking for something and were confused, he said what they were looking for was new age multiple times and that the shop is the wrong store for them. Once they left he made more remarks about them being in the wrong place. My friend also asked a question and he answered in a way that made it seem like everyone should know the answer and she was at fault for not. He seemed to think he was above everyone and also made a comment to the other workers that "as long as people buy stuff it's fine" which gave off more unwelcoming energy. I will not be returning especially after the store left me with a bad feeling in my stomach. Pure negative energy. Do not recommend.

Yelp
Two years ago, my good friend and I found the crooked path. I was at my lowest point as a Mexican witch. I felt like I didn't belong anywhere. I walked into the crooked path, and it felt like I had found my home! Popi, one of the owners, greeted me with her amazing smile. When I grabbed a Hekate book, she told me they had a temple there. The excitement of knowing I found a place where I can come to, when I need that magical relief, was amazing, and not being judged is just simply awesome. The environment is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They also have a lot of cool events, which is a plus! I've attended a few and all of them have been very fun. I highly recommend them. The classes that Sal teaches are great! The knowledge he has to offer is amazing! He makes learning fun and don't get him started on his tangents! I simply love this store, and it has taught me so much in my magical path.

Yelp
I usually visit another store for my witchy needs. However, it is closed on Sunday's and this one is NOT. Therefore, that is a plus if you are in a dire need of some kind of witch spell or what not. I wanted some stone bracelets (rose quartz and amethyst) to take back home with me. They were not labeled, but the nice woman in the front was able to tell me the name of the stone and what the stone is known for and why. Overall, it was a nice visit and I wouldn't mind coming back.

Yelp
I found out about this place through TikTok so I thought I would check it out, when I first went in I didn't like the stagnant feeling I had it wasn't very welcoming or happy feeling. The cashier didn't seem very knowledgeable about the crystals they carry.. I was in there for awhile I bought a beautiful handmade necklace from a artist they carry.. I also had a reading with Jessica it was amazing and spit on didn't feel fake at all she was great I had a great conversation with a guy who works there not sure if he was the owner or not, but he was the nicest person very genuine. Overall it was a good experience besides the uneasy feeling of the shop..

Yelp
This is my place. Where I feel at home. I have a shop closer to home but it's got bad juju and bad customer service. Sal & company are great. An amazing selection of anything you need. Reasonably priced crystals and the best incense in town. And fabulous oils. I've taken a few friends there and they were quite impressed as well.

Yelp
This place was very informative and the woman who helped me was not judgmental and super intuitive. I felt like a weight was lifted after I purchased what I intended to plus some extra goodies. I'd definitely come back! Thank you so much!

Yelp
Amazing shop and a great place to take witchy classes and buy witchy supplies! Also, the owner is super knowledgeable and helpful about everything in the shop.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Great people, great shop. Made me feel very welcome and improved my trip, just by being so welcoming and kind. Plus Hekate's gorgeous room, a well placed photo of my all time favourite musician, and Sal's purple boots! I finally felt at home, and thx Poppy for allowing me time with Lady Hekate
google avatar

Yelp
Sal and Poppy are the absolute best. So knowledgeable in their craft and always willing to teach something new every time I come into the store.

Yelp
I love this store , they have amazing things employees are nice well some , but the owner or Co owner is not very friendly with Latinos I always come here and he never ever say hello o welcome when I walk in but only to North Americans, he just look at me or sometimes he ignore me , makes me feel my energy so bad . Is sad .

Yelp
Out for a day and thought we should try this place out. Not bad for a corner business on a hot summer day. We ordered sandwiches and a lite wine. Our server was very nice, he seated up promptly and took our order. Very efficient operation for just two people. I will be back to see what else this place has to offer

Yelp
It is a small but lovely shop. No one really bothers or is pushy and you can look around and shop. I purchased the herbs and such I needed. They were out of a lot of items or just at empty (where there was just dust left). But they did have some items that were a little more difficult to find. The crystals are a little bit on the smaller size than other places but good for mojo (if you are looking for something very specific I would call first) but they have all the usual suspects. The young lady who worked there was quite nice and patient but didn't really know a lot of information. If you go in, I would recommend doing all your research prior to walking into the shop. There is street parking available in the front and a long the side streets.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
Sal and Popi are great in assisting customers with their needs and the shop itself has its own vibe that I cannot quite describe other than the fact that I feel like it could be in its own dimension of some sorts. I love the mystical energy it gives. Whether for books, herbs, crystals, candles, or jewelry, Crooked Path has some unique selections I wouldn't find anywhere else in LA in your typical witchy shop. Crooked Path doesn't feel like the other "metaphysical" shops I've visited in the area. I'd suggest paying them a visit and checking out their shop! The events held there are pretty cool too!
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Great store with lovely customer service! You can get all of your magickal needs met here! Sal and his wife Popi are the owners and they are are an endless supply of knowledge when it comes to crafting. They have candles, books, clothing, athames, pre fixed kits and more! I come here quite often and have gotten so much knowledge by just talking to Sal.... once he gets going, you better have your pen and paper READY! This is a great store for beginners, as well as seasoned practitioners on the path, regardless of initiation, magickal lineage, or tradition you practice. Anyone from Wiccan to Voudon, Celt to Lucafarian can enjoy this store. It's also equally wonderful for those who don't follow a strict religion, but like myself are Pagans who practice using intuition and ancestral heritage as a guide. The Apthecary is always fully stocked, and whoever is there will be knowledgeable on the properties of each herb, and how they can assist you in a working.... and I've seen this in no other store, but they are labeled by planetary ruling so that you know instantly what properties you're working with and their planetary influence which can be VERY HELPFUL! They also have the best jewelry HANDS DOWN! I've gotten so many gorgeous peices here! I'm uncertain about weekdays, but on weekends There is always a tarot reader or someone you can ask for other divination at a really great price! I REALLY REALLY adore this store, and they've welcomed me with open arms. This store is dedicated to Hecate, so please be aware and respect all offerings you see. Enjoy your shopping, so mote it be!

Yelp
Kind and open, but AUTHENTIC and not full of tourists. I love Alexander ll, but trying to get past someone's curious grandma isn't super fun. They make their own potions most of the time and the guy who runs it is beyond knowledgeable about the occult. I love their variety and I trust the validity of their products.
google avatar

Mallory S.

Yelp
I absolutely love Sal and his shop! It's a wonderful little store with a variety of items to purchase. Their prices are great, and I use this place as my primary shop to get herbs I need. Sal and his employees are always so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
The Crooked Path is a safe haven for the occult. I have grown so much not only as a witch, but as a person thanks to this shop and the people in it. I have purchased several wares, attended several events and workshops both in-person/pre-COVID and regularly virtually during the pandemic. Sal made the ritual candle for my iso-wedding on 10/10/2020. Sal and Popi are the real deal. If you know, you know. Shoutout to my Goddesses of GMC, devotees of Hekate, and all other mystics drawn down The Crooked Path.
google avatar

Clarity J.

Yelp
I love this place!!!! I get all my crystals and candles from here!!! The employees are always so sweet and actually make small talk with their customers.I love this place and I 100% recommend to come here.

Amy V.

Yelp
I love love love this shop. You can purchase anointing oils, books, herbs, and even have custom spell candles made. Sal is very knowledgeable and the staff are friendly. In addition, there's unique items (such as incense and offering bags) for various deities. If you're seeking a metaphysical store that has a witchy vibe, this is definitely the place to shop. I also want to add that if you're one of those folk who are more into general spiritual shops (the ones that sell primarily crystals and yoga books), this is not that kind of place lol. Lastly, this place offers (online) classes but I can't speak much about my experiences because I haven't taken one yet. However, I'm happy that they offer them for those who are interested in expanding their knowledge. I will sign up for a class at some point and add to my review.
google avatar

Valerie D.

Yelp
Best apothecary a witch can have. Had a spiritual awakening and I highly recommend going here for your needs for spells :) I went on etsy where I paid for the herbs plus shipping (never again) People who worked there were super nice and the vibes were great. Will come again
google avatar

Scarlett P.

Yelp
I've been coming here for about a year and this shop has really impacted my life. The shop itself has beautiful tools, herbs, crystals, and books for your practice. The people who work there are very knowledgeable practitioners and provide so much information when asked. Ive enjoyed all the classes I've taken, from Sal and Scarlett, and they really transformed my practice. The goddess circles they facilitate there are so magical and a much needed space for women and gender non-conforming people. I've found community here, and continue to come back because of the quality of the shop, the classes, and the staff.

Yelp
This is an absolute joy of a little Jem of a store in Burbank. I went by today and they had everything I needed the store owners were friendly and helpful. I really felt the energy and at home here. For all your needs of the esoteric, the crooked path is a must.

Yelp
cute little place for witchy stuff and crystals. Staff is very friendly and tries to make connections with their customers! I came out here from the AV area but If i we're to pass by it again I would stop by!

Yelp
I lived in Burbank for thousands of years before moving to Austria, when I come back I always love visiting my old stomping grounds. As a Buddhist/Hindu who practices the REAL shit(as in ALL the aspects of the Gods and Godesses and what they do, yes dummies that means, cursing, crossing etc, if it is TRULY justified) it is hard to find a place that is genuine in their practices and not clique or trendy, to find one in Burbank or hell all of Los Angeles for that matter, sans PansPipes aka Pan's Apothika, Madame Pamita's parlour of wonders, or Doctor E products is like finding gold in a pile of crap, in other words rare. I am Autistic and have tourettes and have many issues with people in general, meaning It's hard for me to be social with anyone adults or kids, Im more of an animal person/my own "kind" aka fellow folks with mental illness like myself. From the moment I stepped into this place it was not just warm and welcoming, but made one feel VERY safe and understimulated. It usually takes time for me to find a place like that. This place like the only other place I mentioned above that works in the genuine traditions of their religions/beliefs. Since I read some reviews about the owners, and employees I thought Id make some actual reviews about them since I got to know them through out their first opening and such. No I do not PERSONALLY know them I know them as a frequent customer when Im in the US. Sal: a quirky, fun, sweet and beautiful man, whose jokes even make me an Autistic engineer like me laugh and if you know Autistics we usually take things seriously or have a hard time getting it. He is a son of Godess Hecate, and truly knows his shit when it comes to Kali and hoodoo. He used to be an employee/owner of Pans Pipes back in the day so he brings that experience and aura to this place which I truly appreciate. He can be blunt but it is not due to being mean or negative in anyway. Popi(I hope Im pronouncing that correctly) Is like Sal a beautiful and kind soul. Helpful and welcoming just like him and her beeswax candles in particular, WOW so much powerful energy. Same with Sal honest which is necessary. Greg: a badass mofo who is just awesome period. Becca: how can I say this, BUY HER NECKLACES if you want some protection or anything. So there is an honest review of The Crooked path. They are not just welcoming they are a breath of fresh air in Burbank. They are Pans Pipes, Lucky Mojo, Haus of Hoodoo, ritual cravft, AIRR etc. all rolled into one! Also a note, this place like Pans Pipes/Pans Apothika is surrounded by the energy, protection and guidance of Hecate and All of the forms of Kali, so those that write negative reviews here do so because the Gods especially Kali saw through them and saw their negativity. In other words if you come in here with fakeness and a negative attitude, what you receive is your own fault.

Yelp
(this is gonna be a long one, scroll down for the TL:DR) I mean, where do I start? I could begin with the smell, the ambience - the energy/fragrances in the room is calm and soothing, and as soon I walked in I felt like I was home. And of course, I could mention their prices - that, unlike many meta shops in the area, aren't absurdly exorbitant - and that you're actually paying for the true VALUE of an item rather than an upcharge for how "trendy" something is. A meta shop with fair prices is quite a rarity in LA. But something you can't put a price on is hospitality, friendliness, and the amount of knowledge and experience that the people who work here possess. This is a true apothecary. After being warmly greeted by Sal, I asked him a general question, expecting to be led to an item that might peak my interest. However, possibly sensing my naïveté, he treated me to a clear and concise explanation of the various forms and avenues of witchcraft and debunking of its myths and stereotypes. Now not to give too much away, but I'll just say that they have a one-of-a-kind organization system that is a MIRACLE for finding out exactly what you need for whatever you want to do (or are doing). While Sal fixed up a custom blend for a client, Greg showed me around the store and led me to the perfect items to suit what I was looking for. Through some conversation he revealed that he had been a practicing magician for over 50 years; his knowledge spans all avenues of witchcraft and spiritualism. Even while busy mixing, Sal made suggestions for different herbs or areas to investigate relating to what I asked Greg. After many questions and conversations, I made my selections, and not once did I feel pressured (by anyone other than my intuition) to buy anything. Many of what was recommended to me were items that interestingly caught my eye before even knowing what they were for. After presenting my selections for purchase, I left happy - probably the happiest I had been that week. My experience here points to one main thing: The staff at The Crooked Path are genuinely here to help, not move inventory or push an agenda - classes, events, and patrons of this shop are from across the spectrum of practice and background. The staff are experts, trained through years of experience and dedication. The Crooked path is a real one-stop shop for anything and everything witchy + more. (TL:DR - best customer service, unbeatable prices, friendly and attentive staff, and a lovely atmosphere)

Yelp
This is a nice spiritual place. Lots of stuff to learn. The owner is very knowledgeable-- he can be a little standoffish but honest and helpful, they aren't there to squeeze money out of you, they're there to offer you knowledge ans tools.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has everything you need for potions. Cute and quaint! Jessica was there doing tarot readings, and since I had an awful experience the night before, I decided to give her a shot. She is the real deal! Spot on! She is very connected to spirit and engages her and your guides with ease. I ended up doing another 15 minutes because I knew I was getting the information I needed. You can't go wrong (or left ;)) at the Crooked Path.

Jazzy W.

Yelp
Amazing service, really sweet helpful women working behind the counter every time I come here. This is the only place I come for supplies, I absolutely love it. Great selection too, overall an amazing little store!! Would recommend for all your witchy needs.
google avatar

Yelp
A lot of people on here are talking about the store, which is great, but I wanted to shout out to the classes! The mix of information to practice in these classes has been fantastic! They also trust people to handle more info and go beyond the 101 level work, which is a huge plus for me. I've taken a few here and have been impressed each time with them. The teachers I've had (Scarlet and Sal) have been open to questions and have a broad background they pull from.

Yelp
Cute, clean, small store. Over priced. The guy behind the counter made a snide remark when I came in the door about being too busy. Way to make people want to shop there. It really was not that busy but he seemed to be the type that liked to complain - as he continued to do for the 15 minutes that I waited while he gossiped with a customer seated behind the counter and some super dramatic, name-dropper in line in front of me. Definitely won't be going back.

Yelp
Wonderful staff who go the extra mile to teach and inform. They have special events on the regular if people want to attend and have a nice day with others who practice the craft. They helped me make a candle and pick out what I wanted. I thought a few items were overpriced but that is normal for handmade items and collectibles. Side note: When I visited, a dog was in the street (unhurt) and the shop owner took it in and cared for it until the dog's owner was called and arrived. So 10/10 in my book caring for a little poodle.

Lexi F.

Yelp
I really liked this place because it's easily one of the better quality metaphysical shops in the LA area. Until, that is, I appeared to inconvenience the owner with my presence and willingness to buy items from his shop. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating towards the only other customer in the shop, who was a man. The owner proceeded to ignore me even though I was holding a lot of items and I was ready to purchase, and I had been there longer. They chatted for a long time and laughed and joked together. When that customer left and it was my turn to check out, all the owner's smiles and laughs were replaced by a stoic expression. He made it really awkward because of his blatant unfriendliness. My mom tried to lighten the mood by making small talk that he didn't bother reciprocating. Instead he made a comment about closing soon, which made us feel like we were burdening him for taking up his time, even though there was still an hour left until closing. When just a minute before he had been ever so happy to take his time chattingwith the customer before us. who was a man. The next thing I know, the owner is making snide remarks at me for wanting to buy things from his store. Yes, people. The owner was making fun of me for being willing to give him money and business. He says to me, "You're buying things from MY store?" And you know it's not much of a joke because he said it seriously with a flat expression. I laughed and went along with it even though I was uncomfortable. When I asked him if I could buy herbs, he said, "You have to be kidding me." At this point, I'm visibly uncomfortable. But I still go with it and try to keep the peace because as a woman of color, I'm used to being walked all over by white men. But then he sees me looking at his selection of talismans and he says aggressively, "Stop looking at things, okay?" It was just awful. SO rude and uncalled for. Then as he's ringing me up, he says "I'm just joking, I'm not really a jerk or anything." Are you sure about that? I am a highly sensitive person who struggles with social anxiety, and it doesn't matter that he was joking. You don't know what anyone is going through, and who knows -- You could be the reason that someone finally breaks. This is an unacceptable and insensitive way to treat customers. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER treat a customer the way this man treated me. If you're too lazy to help customers and do your job, that is your problem and you do not make the customer feel like they are an inconvenience. You really don't want my money that badly? Fine, I'll give my business to Pan's Apothika or Madame Pamita's instead because they don't make me feel like a burden for purchasing from them. The damage is done and I am not going to return to an unwelcoming business that made me feel unappreciated and unwanted. FYI- If you don't like helping customers. You probably shouldn't be in retail. Update: Thank you so much to everyone for the amount of love and supportive messages I've received!! Together we can create a better world where white men are held accountable for their actions. If you're interested in visiting a witchy shop with good vibes and nothing but respect for all people, message me for the link to my website!

Yelp
This shop caught my eye one night as I drove down Magnolia and I was thrilled! I've used Sal's expertise on more than one occasion and was extremely satisfied. Sal is the real deal and knows what he is doing. The Crooked Path has everything you are searching for: classes, readings, herbs, oils, crystals and more. Everyone at the shop knows what they are talking about and will give you solid advice. I'm always in there. It's my favorite shop in Burbank!

Yelp
I've never been here and I have visited almost every metaphysical store in LA since the 80's! My friend told me about it and so I had to try it out. Of course I read the reviews and I like to read the not so good ones. I expected to be given a cold welcome according to one review. Well, nothing could be further from the TRUTH! Poppi (I hope I spelled it correctly) was incredibly warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond to explain things and guide me to what I was searching for. This store is charming and very well stocked. One thing that stood out was the many items made by locals and artisans. This tell me that they support local artisans and witches. I purchased a delicious HECATE incense that smelled amazing!!! I shall return!

Yelp
I like to support local businesses. I have been coming to this shop and bringing friends because I enjoy it so much. I have several of their jewelry items which are unique and beautiful. I enjoy conversations with the knowledgeable staff, and am not afraid to ask questions and I don't feel judged at all. After I leave the store I feel like my anxiety is lowered and I had a breath of fresh air. Once when the owners were out of town, I was asked what music I wanted to hear and I chose Garbage. It was awesome! A++!! The prices and services offered are great and what you are really getting is the attention to detail, the years of expertise, knowledge, care, skill it takes over the years to acquire. I'd love to take a class some time. Plus the dog is so cute!!

Yelp
This place is the real deal. Sal is a seasoned spiritual magick man with years of knowledge and insight to share, which he does with kindness and wit. They have locally crafted jewelry and ritual items for various pantheons and interests. Now that they have moved to a bigger space on Keystone and Magnolia...I am sure that many years of great vibes and a community built on unlocking our shared mysteries await! I am a practitioner who knows when I walk into a sacred space for the spirits and for the people....and Crooked Path is one of those without a doubt. Thank you guys for being awesome.
