⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The Crown in High Wycombe has a great mix of traditional charm and modern comfort. The food is delicious especially the Sunday roast, portions are generous, and the drinks selection is excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the outdoor garden is perfect on a sunny day. A great spot for a relaxed meal or drinks with friends — highly recommended!

Can’t praise it enough to be honest. Lovely place with a great atmosphere and amazing food. The sourdough starter was so good, we ordered in a second one after the mains! Never tasted bread like it. Our server Kingsley was brilliant, even with our fussy requests. Thanks for a lovely meal, will definitely be back!

I recently visited The Crown Inn in High Wycombe and had a very positive experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a classic English pub charm and attentive service throughout the visit. The staff were polite, efficient, and genuinely friendly, which made the stay comfortable from the moment of arrival. The food was well-prepared, fresh, and served promptly. The portion sizes were generous, and the menu offered a good balance between traditional pub dishes and more modern options. The bar is well stocked, and the drinks selection complements the menu nicely. Overall, The Crown Inn delivers solid quality, good service, and a pleasant environment. It is a reliable place for a relaxed meal, a drink with friends, or a comfortable stop during travel. I would be happy to return and recommend it to others.

Highly recommended! A fantastic restaurant with very friendly and attentive service. The food was excellent. Classic British dishes as well as burgers and other options were all very well prepared. There is a great selection of drinks and the atmosphere is warm and cozy with a fireplace. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back

Our family recently contacted The Crown about them hosting a wake for one of our family members. From the moment we got in touch, the managers with whom we were liaising (Daniel and Irina) were extremely kind, understanding and helpful in organising the event. And thanks to the efforts of all the staff at The Crown, the event went very smoothly and many of the people who attended commented on how well organised the event was, how efficient the staff were, how nice the venue was, and how good the food was. All the staff we dealt with on the day were extremely friendly, efficient and attentive. The Crown did a great job at arranging and hosting what was a very personal and emotional event. And the sensitivity and kindness shown by the staff was exemplary. Thank you to The Crown.

We came on Saturday for a 70th birthday dinner that was booked around 8 weeks in advance. All of our food was preordered about a week before the date with a £100 deposit paid. All I can say is, what an utter disappointment. Our table was booked for 6:45. At 7 we were still waiting as the table wasn’t ready and hadn’t been cleared. This made the “surprise” difficult and we had to delay arrival so we could decorate the space. They knew we were doing this as had spoken about everything previously. 35 minutes after everyone had arrived I had to go and find someone to come and take our drinks order. I was told they had forgotten about us as we were in the crown room and they don’t usually have diners in there. We had to chase up someone to take an every drinks order we had. Infact, every time we needed something I found myself wandering around trying to find someone as no one was around at all. This was even more annoying as the pub/ dining area wasn’t even buy- in fact it was pretty dead with only a handful of tables occupied. Our food, although pre ordered didn’t arrive until an hour and 40minutes after we had sat down. The children were getting really cranky as they were so hungry. It was now about 8:40pm. The portion sizes on the meals were to be honest an absolute joke. I ordered an adults meal for the oldest child as he has a big appetite, but even the 7&9 year olds were left starving by the minuscule kids meals. The pasta dish was finished in 3 mouthfuls. We had to go and grab the kids a McDonald’s after we left as they were all still so hungry. A kids meal should be big enough to fill a child older than 7!! It also didn’t help that we also had to send meals back as they were wrong leaving us with an even longer wait and everyone eating at different times. The adults meals were also incredibly small, the steak in particular. You could tell by the cut and markings that one steak had been cut into 2 separate pieces. We asked if this was correct and was told this is a common complaint because the steak is ridiculously small. The deserts also came out with the wrong ice cream. (Sticky toffee, should have been cornflake but came out with banana which just wasn't a nice combo at all.) I felt so sorry for the front of house guy who dealt with us. He had clearly taken the brunt of a lot that evening and couldn’t apologise enough, he was embarrassed by the experience we had and fixed our bill accordingly- which was appreciated, but didn’t change the fact that a 70th surprise meal had now been ruined and put a dampener on the whole night.

This pub absolutely ruined our christmas meal. Our table was double booked resulting in us getting bumped from the private room to the main restaurant. The environment was incredibly loud and roudy owing to a combination of bar guests and people eating their meals in the same area. The food, frankly, was disgusting. They served cold fatty duck which had a mushy texture, followed by a turkey roast which was simultaneously overcooked and cold, with Luke warm gravy and elements. Finally I had a creme brulee which apparently the chef missed the memo on and failed to put the creme custard into the creme brulee. Additionally it was served with a pistachio and cherry donut which had NO indication of pistachio and was rock solid and tough requiring both hands to rip it apart. In an effort to atleast taste it as a redeeming feature I tried a small piece but found the doughnut to be sour. Service was also really poor, with the head waiter not listening to feedback (asking if all was okay then immediately walking away before anyone could comment). The waitors also passed the cutlery down the table and our table (despite being booked months in advance) was only half set without wine or water glasses and drinks were almost never topped up. Overall disgusting service from a pub that used to be so great. Will never return.
