A VAYA Unique…ly Disappointing Experience
Like many other reviewers, we had stayed at this hotel a few years ago and had a positive experience. Based on that, we returned with high expectations—unfortunately, what we found this time was a steep decline in quality and service.
- Food: The buffet was well below standard. The selection was minimal, and much of it looked as though it had been sitting out far too long.
- Cleanliness: Our room was not clean on arrival—dusty floors and black hairs on the bedding. While it was eventually addressed, the issue wasn’t handled particularly well by the staff.
- Room condition: The facilities are clearly aging. The toilet seat and shower head were broken, which only added to the feeling of neglect.
- Parking: We were charged €8 per day for parking, yet our designated spot was practically submerged due to leaking pipes in the garage.
Overall, the experience fell far short of what we expected, especially given the price point. It’s clear from other recent reviews that this isn’t an isolated case—VAYA is no longer offering the value or service it once did.
Recommendation: Look elsewhere for accommodation.
