"Downtown Denver’s most playful hotel, The Curtis offers whimsy in spades. Guests are encouraged to unleash their inner child with board games, toys, and old-fashioned candy in the lobby, while each level riffs on a different pop-culture genre, from “Sci Fi” adventure to “Dun Dun Dunnnnn!” horror (fittingly on the 13th floor). Standard rooms are filled with pops of color; unexpected elements in themed rooms include green ectoplasm-inspired floors in the Ghostbusters room and a wall-mounted sailfish in the Jimmy Buffett room (perhaps you’ll finally find that lost shaker of salt). The Corner Office restaurant and martini bar is retro-cool, with plaid upholstery and ‘60s-mod light fixtures, and the menu highlights street and comfort food favorites from all over the globe alongside inventive housemade cocktails and Colorado craft beer. There are also 24-hour business and fitness centers, but nothing about the hotel takes itself too seriously—except, of course, when it comes to showing guests a good time."

It was fine but I definitely wouldn’t choose to stay here again if there were other comparable options. AC in the rooms didn’t work, had 2 days of cold showers, elevators are incredibly slow and you can’t take the stairs up (only down), and the bar only stays open until 10 even on the weekends. The location is great though.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, making my experience truly special. My room, while cozy, was spotless and well-maintained. A standout was the fantastic female bartender, who made the evenings a pleasure. While the surrounding area felt a bit less inviting after dark, the hotel itself was a haven of comfort and hospitality..

Google
Stayed for an event at the hotel and really really enjoyed my time here! The hotel's theming was so charming, staff was so kind and helpful, and the free water and cookies at check in were such a nice bonus after getting in late with travel delays. Staff was also very helpful in reassuring me that I would be able to check in late and was able to do so with no problem. Only downside was the elevators being small and slow, but they're a minor inconvenience otherwise. Will absolutely keep this place in mind if I'm in the area again!

Google
Easily the most unique hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Each floor has a theme, and the rooms are themed as well. It is worth taking time to stop and check out every floor while you were there. The staff is always incredibly nice and outgoing. This is my go to hotel when I stay in Denver.

We stayed here a total of four nights in their hyper-themed rooms. Two nights in the superhero room and two nights in the video game room. Staff was super accommodating and friendly. We all loved our time here, especially the kids. It was so unique and fun! The hyper-themed video game room included an old Donkey Kong video game system with tons of childhood games on it like Pac-Man that were all free. Lobby is cute with unique decor and hotel was clean and updated. Location is great and walkable to the downtown area. Will absolutely stay here again and would love to try other hyper-themed rooms, like the Star Trek and Barbie themed. Can’t wait!

Google
We stayed at the Curtis for a small con and had a fantastic time. Pricing was affordable, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the quality of the hotel was great. The complimentary cookies were great and the staff even supplied waters to our group after some late nights out. The onsite food was delicious and the event hall (3) was beautiful and spacious. My only negative comment about this hotel is the elevators. We would wait sometimes 10 mins or longer. It seemed like only 1 was in service. The hotel never seemed over capacity to where the wait should take that long. Definitely needs to be a high priority update.

Google
It is a good hotel and really a great value. Rooms are nice staff is friendly and helpful and its close to everything in downtown Denver. It has a nice Denver vibe, too. I would definitely come back because the value you get makes it a really good deal. You don't pay for the fancy pools and spas. You get great staff, good rooms, and a great location while you visit exactly what I wanted.

Google
Came for a work conference and brought my family with me. I wouldn’t recommend this for a family or if you wanted to cook anything. There’s no microwave in the rooms. The staff was amazing and friendly. The conference rooms were decent. The A/C clearly wasn’t working because at times it was hot. The breakfast they provided during the conference was excellent. Their “deluxe” boxed lunch was a grave disappointment. Location to bars and restaurants was good, area was nice. Their hotel rooms are just enough room to be comfortable but not spacious for families.

Yelp
Enjoyable stay in great proximity to everything, but lacking in some parts. In town for a work conference, so needed the location more than anything, and the rate was good in comparison. The Curtis Denver stands out for its fun, quirky vibe with each floor offering a different theme, from superheroes to the '70s. I stayed on the Horror movie floor - which seemed to be the most themed of them all. The hotel's central location is perfect for exploring downtown Denver, with easy access to many of the complexes, transit, and freeways. Much like other reviews, cleanliness could improve a bit as well as the A/C situation. I will say the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, so they were a highlight. Didn't have time to use the fitness center. The on-site restaurant is great for a quick bite or drink, and the daily credit comes in handy. Starbucks is around the corner, but the lines were ridiculous, so I never tried it.

Yelp
Check in was easy. We got to our room and it was not as advertised. We'd booked a king size bed with a pull out separated. We go the king size, but there was no way to have a private pullout. So they send a bed. No compensation. Parking is a b..ch. omg. Not convenient at all. We asked if the rooms were serviced daily and were told we would get fresh towels, and they would empty the trash. Not the case. I don't like being told by staff what is going to happen, and no follow through.

Yelp
Such a fun hotel!! I've been to many hiltons and doubletree and this one is by far my favorite! It's not the drab usual decor of a hotel, it's fun, lively, spirited, and an overall great place to stay for the week. Each floor has a different theme, not the rooms themselves though. My favorite was floor 13 and 6. If you got kiddos, I highly recommend requesting those floors. They have a decent sized gym, larger than others I've been to. No pool, but that's okay. The connecting restaurant is also decent. Can charge items to the room, good cocktails and lumch/dinner. Location is super convenient. Half a mile from Larimer street and right across the street from the opera house. Parking can be annoying, with $45 a night, but plenty of parking spaces and it's secure. Highly recommend this hotel for your next downtown Denver trip!

Yelp
We stayed at The Curtis probably 5 yrs ago. It was a maze of road construction and hotel construction. Terribly difficult to find the door, in the dark, during a snowfall. Room was okay. Quirky. Semi affordable. Close to Union Station, and that's why we stayed there. Fast forward to 2025. Spring time. Not snowing. But STILL UNDERCONSTRUCTION! Street was tore up, parking garage smelled like sewage and was more a cave than a parking lot. Another maze to try and find the entry door. The Curtis is UNDERCONSTRUCTION TOO! No carpet in elevator, just plywood. $500 room (15th floor) Immediately upon entering, the light switch didn't work, nothing turned on. Fumbled our way to the bedside were 2 lamps were located. Only one lamp worked. Room smelled like stale cigarettes. No Keurig, just a regular Motel 6 coffee pod system. No water except bathroom sink water. Everything looked cheap. Cute video game theme, but not enough to warrant that eye watering price. A/C heater unit clanked and rumbled all night. We had to turn it off to get any sleep. Power cords and extension cords hanging off of the TV and lighted mirror. Looked like a Motel 6 with cutesy wall paper. Room was exceptionally clean, and had the cleanest bathroom vent's I've ever seen! Cleaning staff were definitely doing their job. Top Notch! When we checked out, we told the receptionist about the lack of lighting and the loud a/c. She thanked us for telling her and said they were under construction (No kidding). And that was all she did. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR THAT PRICE POINT!

Yelp
Check in was smooth. We arrived early so we ate brunch at The Office located off the lobby. Nice space and good large portions of food. The drinks are a bit pricey but that was expected for the downtown area. The hotel is nice with its colorful and vibrant decor. I enjoyed exploring the different themed floors plus the elevators which had interesting voiceovers for the floors. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful with directions. The rooms are spacious with a number of power outlets for charging your devices. Unfortunately, I was only able to identify one outlet that allowed me to charge all of my devices (two phones and tablet) so I was struggling for power. As a Hilton Diamond member, my stay included a $15 per person food and beverage credit which was good to use at both The Office restaurant and Starbucks located around the corner. Starbucks also provided a 10% discount to hotel guests so it was a win.

Yelp
Absolutely NOT!!! Sorry for the long review but, this review could definitely help others on their decision with their stay in Denver. Upon arrival, I loved that the location was perfect and that it's located in the midst of everything... including lots of restaurants, stores, and events. The dresser drawers wouldn't stay closed at all. The a/c wouldn't go off, so I had to use the a/c at low temps in the day time and at night, I change to heat at low temperature. The freaking thing was super loud!! The coffee maker didn't work at all and leaked water all over the place. ‍ The only reason that, I didn't complain was because I wasn't in the room long enough. ‍ This review has nothing to do with the staff as they were all catering and even treated me as if, I were some big boss President. Grateful and honored for this awesome service. The STAFF all went over and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable even though, I never once complained or let them know how I felt. I smiled and walked away each time I would see them on my, in and out venture. This is a great place to stay if you have fur babies that you travel with, since this is a pet friendly hotel. You wouldn't know that ithis is a pet friendly hotel unless you start to see the fur babies walking. I only noticed as I was leaving one early morning during my stay. I should've read the reviews prior to booking but, I was so excited to actually have a more indepth experience of Denver (since I've been here 2ce but, I've never had time to actually get out, tour the City) as I did this time. Although, the garage was secure like no other, it's extremely creepy and dark down there! I can not believe that there's a daily parking fee here which I disagree with as a guest. I searched for the valet staff who were never around so, I ended up self parking. This garage is the perfect place to make a scary movie in or to bet on a death wish in. ‍ It was also hard to determine how to get out of the garage as I seen many vehicles driving in circles trying to find the way out. Hilarious I was lucky to have figured out the architecture design of the place and was able to locate the way out... the others followed me and even honked to thank me lol Funny how humans operate! There's Horrible lighting and signage, in the garage area not to mention the art work on each parking floor being... although talented, very creepy! Checking in: I was able to get into my room early thankfully, which was very nice of them! Again, The front desk crew were extremely catering and an AWESOME crew! They provided me with a goodies bag as being a Hilton Honors participant. Thanks guys! The hallways were interesting as each floor had it's own theme which was cool. All Hilton hotels has a 13 floor...‍ It just so happened that the 13th floor here is ALLEDGLY spooky as per reading reviews. I didn't even entertain going there to see the theme. No time honestly! The rooms are really small and almost set up like a College dorm. The bathroom was small with only a stand in shower which, I've never seen this set up before. This hotel has all of it's original rooms. They upgraded the entrance and sitting areas of the hotel. I have never heard of a hotel with no pool, which was another turnoff! I would've checked out, just as fast as checking in, but I knew that I would hardly be in the room and would only be there late at night, early mornings. Thank goodness!!! My room was outdated and the light fixtures, as well as, throughout the bathroom, pipes and caulking were rusted in some areas. Just an old hotel is all! Desperately in need of updating!!! The room was clean and the bed was ok but, I wouldn't stay here again. Shout out to Rachel and the other staff member who literally ran to my aid offering to get me coffee from the restaurant next door while they were waiting for theirs to perk. She was like speedy Gonzalez to my aid when she heard me say "oh no, Ineed coffee" at the coffee truck display. She knew!!! You know what I mean if you're a coffee drinker. Lol This was truly awesome customer service! I knew better than to reserve a hotel without following my own advice to research as I usually try to do, before booking hotels. ‍ 4 and 5 star hotels on a website means, absolutely nothing .. read the reviews! PERIOD!!! Thanks ladies and Gentlemen for your kindness and for going over and beyond. Thanks for the gift bag for my being an Hilton Honors participant as well! These folks definitely deserve a customer service awards! It wouldn't be such a bad hotel if the rooms were at least updated and the garage had bright lighting.

Yelp
Super fun hotel in Downtown Denver that won't break the bank! I was staying at this hotel for work and was so shocked at how fun, kitschy, and eclectic this Double Tree is!! There is so much color and vibrancy in the design. Every floor has a different theme. I was on the television theme floor and loved seeing the Friends poster every time I got off the elevator! Some other floor themes were sci-fi, sports, and fun and games. It was a really unique concept! They have a parking garage attached to the hotel, a restaurant/bar, and are walking distance from Starbucks. Definitely a win/win/win! Housekeeping serviced the room every day and it was very clean upon arrival. Only negative was that my shower was either cold or really hot. Other than that, I had a great experience!
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
This was the most unique Doubletree I have ever stayed in. Each floor was themed! My friend had her room on Floor 13, and you can imagine what that theme was! Rooms are small, but that is expected for a city. My door had an issue where it reset itself, so I had to wait quite a bit to get back until maintenance fixed it. Other than that, the room could use an updated A/C unit to make it quieter. Good location downtown to get to restaurants and meeting spaces. There is a Starbucks around the corner.

Yelp
In passing saw the interesting and fun decor of this hotels lobby. Decided to walk in and check it out for some photo fun.

Yelp
I normally do not stay in Downtown Hotels as they are very pricey for what they offer since their location is so great and near everything. BUT I was visiting family and they got the hotel for me since, I know nothing about that location as I have never been to Denver and had no idea where they were located! LOL I do think that they were overpriced and I thought that it was bad business that they charged for parking even though you were staying at the hotel. So with the price of the room, parking was not included. I feel like IF you are staying at the hotel, parking should be included. The service was OK. It was not amazing BUT it was not bad either. I do have a recommendation for the hotel management, that if you have a lot of people checking out on the same day, that you schedule extra bodies as we had to wait about 15 minutes before we could check out which I thought was a little ridiculous or maybe I am used to Vegas Service. At first glance, the room looked really nice BUT if you looked closer, you could tell there were signs of age in the room. For example, in the bathroom the mirror was clean but the corners were dusty and starting to come apart. The hotel was very very eclectic and nice as each floor was themed a different thing. Also, the phones in the room looked like they were from the 1970's. LOL I figured that they should've updated the phones. Also, there was a section taken out of our bathtub. . .it looked like someone had dropped something and busted the tub and they decided to just leave that black hole within the white tub. :/ I do feel like that they really need to update the rooms. There were some parts that were nice and there were parts that were very dated and old. The beds were comfy. . .I give them that. They also had decent coffee that was not starbucks! Thanks goodness as I hate starbucks with a passion and I need my coffee in the morning. lol Overall, this was just 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 stars.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Curtis Hotel. They are owned by Doubletree and I was excited to get the Doubletree cookies when we checked in. The staff is very nice. This hotel is very clean. The rooms are great. The beds are fantastic to sleep in. Kurt is close to everything. So if you're going to stay in downtown Denver, I highly recommend you stay at the Curtis hotel. Each floor is a different theme, which is really cool.
google avatar

Yelp
Dirty, musty room. Old coffee grounds in coffee machine. Ridiculous decor. Gym missing accessories for machines. Free stale chocolate chip cookies. Noisy air conditioner. Like, sleep wrecking. Ever seen a video of an ice shelf breaking away into the ocean? Yeah, like that. I have a video, but where do you load it? Neck-breaking hard pillows. Horrible cable system. Mold in shower. Lamps unplugged. Dirty rugs and bathroom floors. No do-not-disturb signs. Housekeeping came, but didn't do much except make the bed. Other than that, the location is good for walking, staff was nice enough, but we would never go there again.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Such a fun hotel in a great area! I loved the different themes on each floor. The whole decor throughout, especially on first floor, was just too adorable. I chose the 13th floor as I love scary movies but I think you can find one everyone enjoys. Very central location as it's downtown. Parking is expensive at $45/night but to be expected given the location.

Yelp
This place is awesome. We came to Colorado for spring break and stayed at the curtis in downtown Denver. The staff was so kind, fast and friendly. The rooms were beautiful. We had a pop culture room on the 4th floor. The hotel was older but newly renovated. We were greeted with warm cookies, I mean, how could that ever be a bad thing?! The whole experience there was just great. We would definitely stay again!
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
My boyfriend and were in Denver to see the Caps play the Avalanche and found the Curtis in our search for accommodations. All of the floors are themed, with the 13th floor (yes, there was a number 13) having a horror theme. We knew because a voice announces the floor number and theme as the elevator doors open, plus we got glimpses of the hallway. We reserved one of the themed rooms and were put in a 14th-floor room with a talk show theme. It's cute and clever, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra cost. However, it was a clean and comfortable room, and that's what matters. The hotel lobby is kitschy and cute. The staff was friendly. If I ever get back to Denver, I'd stay there again.
google avatar

Dennis M.

Yelp
The front desk staff are amazing. Raining they had umbrellas. Need a recommendation for a place to eat they got it. The bad - key system is new and I was locked out of my room for 30 minutes. Elevators are filthy. We lost all water service for four hours mid day. Parking is $45 a day. The restaurant that's attached to the hotel is not especially good. Surfaces in the room are chipped and worn out. Pictures are missing in the hallway. Again the front desk staff was great, they deserve a better hotel.
google avatar

Sheila S.

Yelp
Great central location downtown. We booked two rooms for four people. We were able to get them next to each other, but there was no door in between. We randomly got placed in the murder floor. We did do a tour of all the other floors, and somehow the murder floor is the most decorated. They do give you a cookie when you check in, but we were all disappointed because it was hard and not soft and hot like they used to be for trees. They also give you a bottle of water. You need a key to go up and down the elevator. There is a restaurant attached, but we didn't get to patronize it.
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
Very unique amd cute design. Rachel offered me a room upgrade which I enjoyed it very much. Great location with a lot of restaurants around. The AC is powerful but noisy. The staffs at the Starbucks are not patient while requesting modified drinks but it is very convenient because it is just next to the hotel and you can charge to the room account.
google avatar

Gloria M.

Yelp
This place is a dump!!!!! Please do not stay! Here it's not nice and or clean -- smells like marijiana and the rooms and hallways are so dirty! Do not stay here
google avatar

Kaitlin G.

Yelp
Great customer service! I love the unique theme of each floor! We love staying at doubletree brand hotels
google avatar

Katherine P.

Yelp
Such a cool hotel and within walking distance of a lot of restaurants. The lobby is so cool and eclectic. Each floor has a theme and is decorated accordingly. I got upgraded to a suite and enjoyed the upgrade. Room had two bathrooms, large sitting area and separate bedroom. AC was pretty noisy and had to adjust the thermostat a few times as it wouldn't turn off even though I set to auto with a set temperature. I was only there for 1 night so made do. It's a Doubletree so I did expect a cookie and didn't get one. I actually forgot to ask for it until later though. Would definitely stay here again due to location and cool vibe.

Yelp
This is a fun, quirky hotel. My husband booked it so I didn't know what to expect, inside my delight when we get there and the lobby looked like a summer vacation. Complete with a faux pool sitting area, selfie wall, and even an old school RV as the entryway! Each floor is a different theme, we were on the Sci Fi floor, but I would have loved to see all the other themes. The front desk staff were friendly and offered us bottled water and warm cookies. Much appreciated after a long travel day!

Yelp
Such a different experience from typical cookie cutter hotels I have stayed at. The Curtis is not huge, using a an older building. I did not realize it has 30 floors and is considered a skyscraper. The hotel has 16 floors and the floors above that are used as a dormitory. The Curtis has gone over the top with theme decorations. Every floor hallways are decorated differently. I wish I had know there was a 13th floor when I booked my room. See the photos for the decor. So cool. Even the elevators are decked out. Like the cockpit of a jetliner and a ski lodge aerial tram. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It included a mini refrigerator and coffee maker. They also had free coffee in the lobby in the morning. It include a restaurant/bar called the Corner Office and every night it was packed. When I checked in the offered me bottled water and a warm cookie. Who could turn that down.

Yelp
We had an amazing stay here when visiting Denver recently! I read about them on a list about the best art hotels in the US, so I was super excited to find out that they're a DoubleTree. The lobby certainly did not disappoint when it comes to art - each section/wall is decorated differently, and every direction you turn is beautiful. They're best known for their themed floors and suites. We stayed on the top floor which is "Pedal to the Metal" themed. There really wasn't much to make it themed other than some pictures of race cars and drivers, and some skid mark decals. We also went down to check out the Horror floor which was much more clearly and intricately themed. My only note there was that they kept the standard hotel floor carpet, which took away from the ambiance a little. Overall, our room was pretty standard Double Tree. It was nice, and clean, but decor-wise it was a bit of a mixed bag. Literally one piece of art was new and hip, and the other was a standard stock beach photo you would see in any other hotel room. They sent me an email a few days before our stay asking if we were interested in any upgrades. I requested the Barbie room, but the request wasn't granted. It's a little frustrating that they send a list of "available" upgrades that aren't actually available. We had great service while we were here, from checking in on our phones ahead of time, each time we spoke to the front desk, and being able to get an hour extended check out as Hilton Diamond Members! I would 1000% stay here aga

Yelp
Recommend against. Dated. Uncomfortable mattress and furnishings. Moths included in the accommodations. Heating/air conditioning unit (the old school motel 6 variety) very noisy and makes strange sounds throughout the day and night.

Yelp
I don't mean that this is a 5-star hotel, rather I mean that for what it is - moderate price central location - it was excellent. It's an older building, definitely not a shiny new modern place, but very comfortable, with some charm and character that's lacking in the usual chrome and glass hotels that are pretty much indistinguishable. Room was adequate size, comfortable cozy and well appointed, and very clean. Comfortable bed and bedding, adequate outlets for charging devices. Bathroom fine - not a spa but good condition and also super clean. Front desk people are super helpful. I requested daily housekeeping which was top notch. In room coffeemaker brewed pretty decent coffee and I was given additional brewing supplies on request. Complimentary bottled water at the front desk is a nice touch. The hotel has some sort of theme thing going on that's different for each floor as well as elevator announcements that I didn't quite get but no matter, not consequential. On site restaurant was convenient and very good dinner. All in all, I had a really pleasant stay. Compared to some of the other options I feel that I saved some bucks over shiny new hotels, sacrificed nothing and rather appreciated the charm and character.

Yelp
Was greeted with warm smiles. The decor is fun and lively, filled with quotes and art from famous Hollywood movies. Pet friendly. Ugh, what more can I ask for?! Complimentary water and freshly baked cookies. Located in downtown where all the restaurants are at. Random side note: I was dropped off by a nice Lyft driver who was lovely to talk to. Colorado is pleasant.

Yelp
This is one of the most creatively designed hotels I've ever been to! Truthfully, it's more of a museum-hotel hybrid than anything else ... and the attention to detail shows. Each floor has its own intriguing theme (everything from spooky movies to superheroes to hair ... yes, hair!) The entire lobby and its many conference rooms are all designed with puns in mind. You could wander through this hotel for hours (which we definitely did) and still not see everything there is to see. We stayed for three nights at the Curtis about a year ago ... but I still find myself scrolling through photos of this beautiful space. The room itself was nice too - we rented a corner suite, which was incredibly spacious. Sadly, the fun themes do not extend into the rooms, save a photo or two on the walls. Still, the bed was comfortable and clean ... definitely up to the Hilton standard. Our interactions with the folks at the front desk were always positive. The location of this hotel is also a plus ... most downtown destinations are totally walkable from here. Already dreaming about our next stay here ... and doing some more exploring through their colorful displays.

Yelp
I stayed here due to us having a puppy for a concert in Denver from Breckenridge. My boyfriend left my purse and I didn't realize. The hotel 'lost and found' would not take a call or call us both back. The front desk was unwilling to work with us. Apparently, they 'can't find my purse' without even looking or putting in any effort. Now I've lost cash, all of my wallet information, my ID, without them caring at all. Also, the room was tiny and check in was horrible.

Yelp
I thought if they ever expand they could create a 2nd horror floor. Hallway art could be the faces of those in the cold showers.

Yelp
The parking garage stunk so bad that we were gagging and had to cover our faces.. smell of raw sewage.. the most disgusting smell I have ever experienced!!!

Yelp
This was an OK hotel, but I feel like I wanted to like this place more or it could have been better. I wanted it to be a little more than underwhelming. I will say the Lobby is perfect and probably the best part. The Hotel was crazy busy through our entire stay. I loved the lobby and the common areas. Checking in took forever. Our room was ok but the hotel looks like it could use a refresh. We did go exploring every floor. Some were much cooler and better looking than ours and some were not. The staff was great and the price was good. Hotel was pretty clean and rooms were pretty standard. I would stay here again if the price was right but it was not nearly as cool throughout as I thought it looked on the "brochure".

Yelp
Best part of my stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was very courteous, respectful, and helpful. They send you a text message when you first arrive and check on you throughout your stay. They also offer you free cookies! The hotel has a different theme on each floor. It's in an amazing location in downtown Denver. Many restaurants and bars close by as well as the convention center and performing arts center within walking distance. Rooms were pretty clean, which is an expectation but still good to see. Cons: the walls are pretty thin. It can get noisy at night because of the location. Also the toilet paper wasn't the best. Rooms have a glass shower with a curtain instead of a glass door, which was unusual and resulted in the floor getting wet with every shower. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and I would choose here again!

Yelp
Not impressed by their eclectic style. Suites are dated and not impressive by any standard. Bathrooms are bare minimum standards. Do not recommend.

Yelp
This is a fun themed hotel that is located near the arts district of Denver. The 13th floor is horror themed, there is a Lucy and Desi room, a Talladega Nights room, a Barbie room and more. Overall the location is excellent and is near several restaurants, shopping, as well as Coors field. They do offer parking but it was $38 a day. One evening we parked on the street. It is free to do so from 10 pm to 8 am, but make sure you move the car before 8 am or you will receive a ticket.

Yelp
A very bad smell in the underground parking garage carried up into the hotel. The front desk said they are trying to resolve that. Multiple calls to the front desk about a loud party in the guest room next to us didn't stop the noise that continued through the night. The noxious smell and obnoxious guests made it a long night. 100% will not stay here again.

Yelp
Our stay at The Curtis is very comfortable. Our rooms are clean. The beds are great. The front desk staff has been so helpful and friendly! The different floors have unique themes. We stayed on the dance floor. The decor in the hallways are dance/dancer influenced. So cute! Other floors are fun and games, and scary movies...

Yelp
Hotel location was great. Staff was attentive and the restaurant was top notch. The only complaint I had was the slow elevators. There had been a strong wind storm. Many locals lost power and had to come to the hotel. I am sure that did not help.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this hotel was worn down and dirty. I had really hoped for more but was greatly disappointed. My room and bathroom were grungy and dirty. The whole place was dusty and looked like it hadn't been touched in months. There was a broken lamp held together by electrical tape and a phone charger/mount that was broken and dusty. The lobby and elevators needed some serious painting and cleaning. The fire alarm was being help together by black tape. I'm not sure if it even worked. I have photos of all these things, but for some reason I am unable to post them. For all the flash and hype about this "boutique hotel" it certainly was NOT what I was looking for.

Yelp
Great and Friendly staff, fantastic lobby bar/restaurant with great food. Each floor has a different theme, I was on the LOL floor but I heard the scart floor was the best. The hotel is in walking distance to some great bars, restaurants and attractions. Perfect for a quick business trip and I woud absolutely stay here again. Teh curtis is a quirky, fun hotel with a different vibe and feel to it.

Yelp
Ok!! So all the reviews have quite a bit of truth to them especially as it relates to the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. The only reason why I stayed here was so my kids could experience the vibes of the hotel and that is the reason for the 4 stars!! I found the staff nice and they checked on our stay via texted message which was awesome. They gave us cookies everyday!! Not the same cookie as before Covid. Yes, I've stayed at the hotel a few times. I must say the cleanliness and deferred maintenance was the biggest issue I had with this place. There needs to be a deep clean on the common areas and the rooms are clean for the most part. We did find makeup and what could have bend dried blood on the walls in the bathroom. The areas less commonly touched are not cleaned.. Ie: around the lighting and in between the bed and side table. No pics. I'm a little ocd and cleaned the room myself before we settled in.

Yelp
Super cool experience the hotel is unique and quite the experience in itself. The staff were amazing and super helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and we were also given breakfast vouchers. On valentines day they had a little cart with lemonade, candy, flowers and valentines they handed out which was super thoughtful and nice. The themes are super cool and the 13th floor with the horror movies is my favorite. Would highly recommend

Yelp
Great location downtown walking distance to just about everything. 2 blocks from the 16th street shopping district. Clean, spacious rooms with a friendly attentive staff. I will stay there again when I return to Denver.

Yelp
Lauren made this a 5 star stay. She provide excellent customer service and really showed her hospitality! I am moving from Oklahoma and unfortunately, my apartment was not ready. I was made aware of this 2 hours prior to my arrival to Colorado so I had to find something quick and dog friendly. LAUREN WAS FANTASTIC!!! They were very accommodating with my dog as well as the short notice. I am so grateful to the front desk for providing an outstanding experience. As for the restaurant inside the Curtis... I am severely disappointed. After a 10 hour drive to Colorado with a dog, I decided I just needed to sleep. The next morning, I went down stairs with my dog to get some breakfast at The Office. I was warmly greeted by ANOTHER Lauren who was yet again AMAZING. She provide an extraordinary experience and was very accommodating by sitting my service dog and I in the corner. Throughout the service, I was greeted by nothing but friendly smiles by all other employees. Come time for dinner service... I haven't seen a few of my friends in over 2 years and it was time to reunited with them!! I told them about my exceptional service that morning and we all decided to eat at The Office for dinner. We walk in and were RUDELY greeted by what looked like a manager (Drea or Andrea). She looked down at my service dog with disgust and rolled her eyes. I asked if we were able to seat ourselves or if she wanted to seat us elsewhere due to the animal. She immediately slammed down the glasses she had in her hand and aggressively said "WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS IN HERE" and proceeded to laugh while rolling her eyes. As I have no been spoken to like this in quite sometime, I didn't know what to say. I shyly said "she is a service dog and I had been in here earlier that day with no problems." She once again rolled her eyes and rudely said "WHATEVER DO WHAT YOU WANT". Again, I have not been treated like this ever. I am in the service industry and I do understand the health code as well as policy. In my 5 years of hospitality management, I would NEVER act or speak to anyone the way this lady spoke to me and my friends. As I looked at my friends, they were visibly uncomfortable so we turned around. She started to say "you can stay" but at this point, she made this experience so uncomfortable and stressful. I asked the front desk if they knew her name and they both immediately knew who I was talking about. It seems as tho she is a menace to the entire property. I hope someone gives her a big hug. Thank you to the Laurens and The Curtis!

Yelp
I had such a phenomenal time because of one person in particular. Makayla was wonderful and she really made my stay a 5/5, dare I say it a 6/5. Get this woman a raise or at least a gold star for all the amazing work she is doing!

Yelp
Why 2 stars? Location: The Curtis is conveniently located near downtown Denver. It's only a few blocks from 16th Street Mall, Larimer Square, Union Station, Milk market, the convention center and Capitol. Everything is within a 15 min walking distance. Decor/ overall aesthetic The lobby is nicely decorated and has a camper vibe. When you walk through the sliding doors, the door is a camper trailer and off to one side is a convertible sofa with a big screen made to look like a drive-in theater and the other side is a seating area made to look like a pool. There's a computer with printer available if you need to print your airline tickets or reservations. Each floor has a different theme ranging from Marvel, to music and horror. They encourage you to check out each floor. My favorite floor to visit was the 13th floor- horror. But I'd be too scared to stay on that floor, especially if I have to walk alone down the hallway at night. We stayed here during Labor Day weekend from Thursday to Tuesday. In those 5 nights, maid service only came to our room once and that was after I had called down to room service to complain. I saw the maid cleaning the room across the hall from us but she didn't clean our room even though we did not put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle. When I called down to ask why our room was not cleaned they said the maid already went home for the day and they'll add us to the cleaning list. Why do we need to be placed on a list? Shouldn't they clean our room everyday? Anyways, after putting our room on the list, we return back to the hotel on the next day to a dirty hotel room. My in-laws had a similar experience during their stay here, so it's not just us. Stay at this hotel for the location if you're looking to walk around downtown Denver. If you're looking for a clean hotel, I suggest you choose another location.

Yelp
THE HOTEL'S SERVICE STAFF ARE THIEVES. I stayed on the 13th floor whilst on a business trip from May 28-31, 2024. I placed my personal laptop in one of the drawers to be away from housekeeping. Unfortunately, out of sight was out of mind. I left on Friday May 31, 2024. Called the hotel the next day and told them about it. Received a call soon thereafter that they may have found it. Then the hotel manager Lizzie emailed sharing that they could not find it as their service staff do a thorough cleaning between each guest. I know **for certain** I left it there in the drawer and the only way it could not be there is by them stealing it. Then Lizzie had the audacity to try to offer me a one night stay for the incident. DO NOT STAY- THEY ARE THIEVES, LACK INTEGRITY, AND HONESTY.

Yelp
I LOVED THIS HOTEL! It's not your traditional hotel, it's fun, spunky, and in the best location. I wish I would have gotten some better photos but we enjoyed our stay so much. My husband and I traveled to Denver just after thanksgiving and while in Denver we attended a Nuggets and Broncos game. Denver was getting all set up for Christmas and it was beautiful. When we first arrived at the Curtis we were greeted with a cookie and headed up to our room. Each floor has its own theme. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Coolest hotel we have ever stayed at!!! Each floor has it's own theme and it's like having your own personal museum! We stayed on the Sci-Fi floor which was mostly Star Wars. Looooved the paintings they have on the walls! Some of the other floors were more creative the moment you step out of the elevator like the 13th Floor Horror, it's like you stepped into the Shining hotel. My favorite floor. Aside from that, parking is in the garage and charged nightly to your room, but you have in/out privileges.
