First tried at the ex and have visited this location a few times now! The dumplings are delicious, full of flavourful and go well with all their sauces Noodles are chewy and well seasoned. Bao buns are delish too! They have about 10 high top seats and offer a variety of items to dine in. Noodles & dumplings took about 10min Favourite dumplings are the pork and mustard greens with the ginger soy sauce

They change the order on Ubereats without communicating with customers. I ordered several different flavours of the wontons, wanted different sauces and soup. There’s no any soup came in! The shrimp flavour is not fresh! And the spinach pine seeds ones don’t taste pine seeds at all!

Google
Delicious food and a great spot for takeout! You can dine in as well but the space is very small. The shrimp pork chive wontons with peanut sauce is my favourite, as well as their sausages.

Order the vegan dumplings with peanut sauce. It was below par, the girl was on her cellphone the whole time while placing the order and while boiling the dumplings, she did not wash her hands between using her phone and interacting with our food. When I asked for hot sauce or chilli oil she said it was a $2 charge (for hot sauce? Really? After paying$15+ for 10 dumpling she wanted to up charge me for some hot suace... I won't be visiting this place again.

I ordered the bento box from Mea River and it was amazing! Everything was freshly cooked and the flavors were incredible. I had the shrimp dumplings with noodles and chili oil — absolutely delicious. The food was so fresh and full of flavor. I will definitely be coming back again! And the price was great !!

Google
Outstanding discovery, I was looking for exactly what the Daily Dumpling was offering! Great friendly service, awesome flavours that took me back to a moment in my life when I called Shanghai home. I can't wait to revisit! The second we got out dishes, we reordered seconds. Thank you for bringing Shanghai to Toronto!

Google
My wife and I picked some up to have a picnic. She had the Vegan wonton and vegan bun while I had the shrimp, pork and shiitake wonton and taro bun. Both wontons with peanut sauce. The wontons were covered in sauce and were stuffed full of filling. While I didn’t like the Taro bun she really likes hers. We almost immediately after eating decided to go back and buy the three buns we didn’t try as well as the frozen lobster wontons for later. Those three were also great. Just overall great meal.

Google
my go to spot when I need to grab a quick bite! staff is always nice, and their dumplings and steamed buns are delicious. I love their peanut sauce and their walnut bun!!

Yelp
The cutest dumpling/noodle shop you haven't been to yet. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Delicious dumplings for every diet. Vegan bao and dumplings. We ordered every vegan option they had and it was ALL delicious. Fast ordering and food pickup. Even a frequent diner card for dumpling orders. As if I needed a reason to come back. This new customer was so impressed.

Yelp
Cute hole in the wall dumpling shop near the University. The staff working were also nice & friendly. Steamed buns were delicious and authentic The hot dog was great but there was a bit too much bun for the hot dog. Vegan dumplings were solid (from someone who isn't the biggest dumpling fan!)

Yelp
* My rating is solely based on a few steamed buns which are not their signature item (steamed buns are not even on their official menu), so my review is quite limited. I was looking for a quick bite around the area, walking down College West. Then I found this place - through the glass storefront, I saw different kinds of fist-sized small steamed buns in a glass case next to the cashier. That's exactly what I wanted! They had different flavors and most of them are sweet ones. But I chose two of their savory buns. Vegetables and BBQ pork. Vegetable buns had chopped Chinese cabbage (bok choy) with minced shiitake mushroom and small some bean curds. Tasted modest - a bit bland. BBQ bun's filling was savory and sweet. The buns are fluffy and hit a good balance of softness and sweetness. I wished it came with some condiments like vinegar or soy source to enjoy the texture difference of the dough (from fluffy to melty).

Yelp
Got Shrimp Pork Chive dumplings soup. The dumplings tastes amazing. Got frozen dumplings as well. The shop is small but cute. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area

Yelp
Yummy stuff! I got the shrimp/pork/chive dumplings in peanut sauce, and my friend opted for the vegan with peanut sauce. She LOVED hers, so if you're vegan, definitely give these a go. I also enjoyed mine -- and one order was enough to fill me up. All in all, not too shabby for a cheap and cheerful meal!

Yelp
The Daily Dumpling Wonton Co is located near Ossington and College. The casual concept eatery specializes in a variety of dumplings that are served either in a broth or in peanut sauce. They have a variety of dumplings from shanghai style dumplings to vegan dumplings. You can either dine in or take out. The interior of the space is light and minimalist. There are bar seats either at a big communal table or along the side of the wall. I dropped by The Daily Dumpling Wonton Co on a Sunday around lunchtime. The place was not busy and I opted to try the pork, chive, and shrimp dumplings in a soup broth ($10.75 +tax). I placed my order at the counter and waited 5-10 min for my order to arrive. I believe there were 10 dumplings per order. I dug in right away after my food arrived and you could tell that the dumplings were handmade; I also enjoyed the thin wrappers. My only complaint was that the shrimp in the dumpling was so finely chopped that I almost felt like there was no shrimp at all. I also took advantage of the hot chili oil condiment found on the tables but I found that it wasn't spicy enough for my tastes. The broth that the dumplings came in had MSG which was a letdown as I was thirsty afterwards. Overall, the price for dumplings is a bit more on the pricey side but if you're in the mood for some dumplings around the area, this will satisfy your cravings.

Yelp
The Daily Dumpling started out of a commercial kitchen and recently took over this space, where you can enjoy hot wontons right out the pot instead of waiting for your uber driver or making it yourself from a frozen package. It's a nice open design with minimalist decor, and lots of hooks along the wall for your coats. We tried their signature shanghai wonton and it was quite tasty. Nice flavorful soup, and the wontons had a good amount of filling. Prices start at $10 for 10 pieces so it's definitely on the higher side compared to other dumpling places, but if you're in the area and looking for wontons this place has you covered.

Yelp
I got to go to a yelp event here and try a bunch of their wontons. Wow we're they good!!! They have this yummy peanut sauce they can out on them but even on their own they are lovey. I tried the shrimp, the beef, the chicken and the classic Shanghai and they were all wonderful!! The noodles weren't for me. When the dumplings are this good I feel like they don't need anything else on the menu. The dough was just so tender and fresh and the ingredients inside were so flavourful and just taste like they were made with love
google avatar

Almira Alice L.

Yelp
The menu is simple and easy to choose. They have choices for you to choose the dumping type and sauce. Cute place. The service speed was a bit slow and the taste was nothing special especially given the price. Charge $10 for a bowl of 7-10 wontons. Quite pricey. They didn't taste better than frozen ones.

Yelp
The chicken wonton is a solid 4..... I feel (who cares what I feel, right!??) $12 is a LOT for an order that size. I liked the staff, I liked the wonton, $12!?!? A container smaller than my hand and I have small hands and stubby fingers!! One star for price, 4 star for the SNACK, hungry 14 minutes later.

Yelp
A review of THE DAILY DUMPLING WONTON CO. (STORE BOUGHT FROZEN DUMPLINGS) purchasing the frozen dumplings for the first time, I decided to try the pork, shrimp & shiitake mushroom as the first taste test. I was pleased with the result as the flavour and ingredients were delivered as advertised in the name of the product. Returning with excitement to try the lobster flavour, I was extremely disappointed due to the following: 1. Entitled 'LOBSTER' suggests that it is the flavour and main ingredient within. While it may be listed as the first one, pork is next in line and completely overshadows the lobster both in quantity and thus flavour! I was anticipating a seafood only dumpling and this product/company DID NOT DELIVER! Why would there be pork in a lobster dumpling? To cut costs, deceive the public and falsely advertise. 2. The price difference from the lobster vs. The other flavours is a $4 jump $16.99 vs. $12.99. I understand if lobster is to be the feature ingredient then a price adjustment is only natural, however there was only a mere morsel of lobster within each dumpling (if that). DISGRACEFUL! I don't mind paying a higher price for lobster.... only this was BARELY LOBSTER and certainly not worth it!!  With this despicable false advertising & disappointing result, I will not be purchasing this product again If anyone wishes for seafood dumplings they're better off making them at home.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to attend the yelp event here - though I'm not the biggest fan of dumplings/wontons ... this place was amazing! To start off the atmosphere was small but, modern and cozy at the same time (it that makes sense). The owners were so nice and shout out to one of the owners for making all the dumplings all night long!! For the dumplings/wontons, they were delicious! Very soft, and tastes homemade (just like mama would!) Aside from that, they did have lots of dumpling options to choose from. I would definitely come back, when craving dumplings!
google avatar

Yelp
Simple, fast and surprisingly delicious. I tried the beef celery and vegan dumplings and it was excellent with the peanut sauce. The dumplings are fresh and you can see the open kitchen where they make and cook them. They cost around $10 for 10 dumplings which seems reasonable to me and they're also on Ubereats. Can't go wrong with Daily Dumpling!

Yelp
I want so badly to say that these are my favourite dumplings in the city, but I won't. I love dumplings as a whole to the extent that picking a single place as having the best ones seems impossible. They're all, for the most part, good. But. These are exceptionally good. These punch way above their weight. Beautiful, consistent, filling, delicious, fresh, comforting - all the things a dumpling can be, these are. I usually get the vegan option. It's surprisingly complex. The mushroom is springy, the pine nuts are fatty, and the spinach is fresh. Then of course you have the wrapper, which is thin, relatively speaking, but thick enough to leave you satisfied. I also really enjoy the vegan broth, which is seaweed based and super light. The place itself is clean and minimalist. One communal table with seating running along the walls, a window into the kitchen where you can watch old ladies expertly assemble these delicacies during the day, and a cash register. It's actually impressively designed. The owners are young people with a great idea, product and vision. I wish them all the best with their restaurant - they can certainly count on me coming back often!

Yelp
BOTTOM LINE: Solid "homemade" offerings and it's worth considering buying their frozen goods. Located across Bar Isabel and on a less-trodden area of College Street is this minimalist Chinese noodle bar that focuses on basic wontons and noodle offerings. By basic though, I don't mean that in pejorative way, because their flavours our great (you can see them wrapping the fresh wontons in the back!), but more in the KISS way. They have 5 basic wontons (including a vegetarian option) and 3 types of noodles. My favourite wonton was definitely the PORK-SHRIMP-SHITAKE. The TSONG-YO NOODLES was a light side pairing though a bit more expensive than expected for what amounted to a small bowl of noodles. That said, the broth was quite good. Finally, you can purchase any of their wontons in frozen and take them home with you. It's more expensive than the value packages you can purchase at any Asian supermarket, but their quality is also much better. Would definitely be back.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot for some really amazing wontons!! Came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner and was surprised at the variety of wontons they had. The menu is super simple, either on the wall or on the table infront of the register (this variation provides more details on what exact ingredients are in each dish). I went with the shrimp, pork, and shiitake with peanut sauce and my boyfriend chose the Shanghai classic in the soup noodle. We also ordered a side of tsong noodles to share. The place is easy because it's very much food court style and quick Chinese meal restaurants. You order, find a place to sit, grab your own water up front and your chopsticks. They'll bring you your food when it's ready! I love how you get to choose how you want your wontons (either in soup, peanut sauce, or a ginger soy sauce). So if you're feeling more dry wontons or a nice hearty bowl of soup, they have you covered! The wontons were so flavourful from the ingredients, it wasn't too much of any ingredient in each I think the combination was done really well. I loved how the shrimp pork and shiitake wontons had a nice fresh shrimp taste, with a slight hint of pork and I really tasted the shiitake near the end. Peanut sauce was a 10/10, but I might be slightly biased since I always like peanut sauce if I have a choice. My boyfriend's classic Shanghai wontons were really good as well, the mustard greens were such a good balance with the pork and the soup wasn't too salty. The noodles were a good sized portion since you get 10 wontons - it was strong in soy sauce flavour but wasn't too salty, just very flavourful and paired well with the soup wontons since they were more plain. LOVE the fact that they also sell frozen wontons for you to take home for future meals too! 10/10 recommend you trying this out, it'll definitely be on my favs list moving forward.

Yelp
I enjoyed the wontons and noodles. The scallion oil noodles were tasty without being too salty. The wontons were pretty good too as the wrapper wasn't too thick and there was a good amount of filling. The vegan filling wasn't exactly to my taste as there was some component in it that I didn't quite enjoy. Perhaps I'll try a different filling next time. The peanut sauce on the wontons was flavourful but quite rich.
google avatar

Picky Eater R.

Yelp
My beef wonton was mixed with pork wontons for no reason. I understand accidents happen but BOTH of our orders? Scallion(Tsong Yo) noodle was nothing alike I had in Shanghai. Server did not offer water until we asked. Server never mentioned about stamps card (we overheard from other customers). But it's okay I don't think we are going to come back anyways.

Yelp
Were these a little pricey for how much food you get? Sure, maybe a tad bit. Were they delicious though? Yes. And therefore worth every penny! I went in on a quiet Friday afternoon and while they were not terribly busy, though there were a group of girls having lunch there together as well as a couple, and a reader dining solo. With my vegan dining companion, we ordered 2 vegan dumplings in peanut sauce, which were ready relatively quickly. We both loved these dumplings, and were especially impressed with that peanut sauce! So good!! I'll definitely be back for this, although I hope to try the dumplings in soup next time. We unfortunately had further errands to do this day, so were unable to pick up frozen dumplings to take home, but will absolutely do so next time we are in. My only criticism of this place may be the seating - while counter spots line the wall and a communal table sat in the back, I wish there were other options for dining couples like me who wished to face each other. However, I also liked their minimalist decor and worry that adding more seating may take away from this... who knows what the right answer may be! Regardless of the seating situation, I'll be returning to Daily Dumpling Wonton Co for as long as my wallet will allow me to!

Yelp
Came by here for the first time since our event last fall and was not disappointed! I was working from home and craving some dumplings, so decided to go for an afternoon walk ... in the direction of the Daily Dumpling. I ordered the vegan wontons and both the ginger and peanut sauces. The vegan ones are only $9.75 and you get 10 pieces, which I think is an insanely good deal considering how full you feel afterwards. I waited about 5-10 minutes for my order, and there was lots of room inside to grab a seat and wait. Gorgeous, clean, bright space and few others coming and going with their orders. Got my wontons home in perfect condition! I'm a Ritual addict, so I would love if they were on Ritual so I could order ahead before picking up, but either way, worth the wait. Just discovered they are also sold frozen at Fiesta Farms, so I may have to pop over there to pick up some more to make at home!

Yelp
I ate the chicken corn and squash dumplings dressed with peanut dressing and some simple sesame seeds and chives as well as the very fluffy and juicy vegan bao. It was hard to choose and it would be nice if you could mix n match. The dumplings are beautifully made noodles and delicious! It somehow made me nostalgic to my polish grandmothers cooking! Will be going back. Peaceful atmosphere. Wait time is at least 10 minutes so be prepared for that. Yum yum yum.

Yelp
I'm from the same region in China where we eat wontons on a daily basis instead of Jiaozi(dumplings). I got really excited when I heard about this place since they serve shepherd's purse. Pork with shepherd's purse is the transitional and most classic wonton style. It's probably regional, barely can be found in food outside of Shanghai/Jiangsu province. Daily Wonton did not let me down. Wontons are very authentic, and I recommend trying with peanut sauce, it will bring out the flavours of meat. Good to know this place also has vegan option so I can bring my vegan friend here next time. We also ordered side dishes, 13-spice beef is quite tasty with a hint of vinegar, and goes really well with Tsong-yo Noodles. Their Chili oil is not spicy at all. It adds aroma rather than spiciness.Oh well Shanghainese can't actually take spicy lol My friends and I all got frozen wontons to go. Having these in my fridge will satisfy my late night cravings!
google avatar

Stacyy I.

Yelp
I cannot stress enough how amazing and authentic these Shanghai-styled wontons are! I'm from Shanghai and I've not found better wonton places than this one! Their Beef&Celery wontons are a MUST try. I even got the frozen package for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved them! Also, make sure to try out their 13 spiced beef, you will not regret it!

Yelp
Yes. Everything about this place: yes. The food is piping hot and delicious. Portion size is good. They have a loyalty plan. Bathroom is clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is open and inviting. Takeout is well-packed. The food is absolutely crave-able.
google avatar

Phoebe K.

Yelp
A bit on the expensive side, $9.75 ($11 after tax) for 10 classic Shanghai dumplings, but super delicious/fresh. The dumplings aren't made with MSG but if you get it in the soup the soup has msg since they serve it "street style". Would come back again!
google avatar

Bess K.

Yelp
Ordered the beef wontons and vegetable wontons with the soup as well as the noodles. The store had a nice and casual vibe and the food came at a decent time, but the price doesn't justify the food. You can definitely find better dumplings/wontons in Chinatown at a cheaper price point. Would not go out of my way to try again.
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
If you like big juicy shrimp filled wontons with a thin wrapper then this is not your place. Their wontons taste more like dumplings in soup... They also don't serve hot tea which is a bit of a disappointment.
google avatar

Louisa T.

Yelp
My husband & I ordered 2 dishes, Classic Shanghai + Pork Chive & Shitake, both in soup broth. It arrived steeping hot, just the way I like it. Both dishes were really tasty! Broth flavour just right, not too salty. We both don't like sodium, so we were impressed. Think it's the tastiest dumplings I've ever had. Next time, I'll try buying some frozen dumplings to take home too...
google avatar

Catherine F.

Yelp
Pretty good dumplings. Tried three different types (for a party of 3) and a mix of sauces. All yummy. Did on the spot take out and it went quickly (less than 10 minutes). Waited on the stools set up just outside and they brought us the dumplings. One star less because they are a little pricier than right in Chinatown.
google avatar

Albert C.

Yelp
Fair price and authentic noodles/dumpling. I am Taiwanese and have very high standards in Chinese food.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
I really like the dumplings here. They're especially good in store but I often buy them frozen to take home. It's a really quick and reliable place to eat.

Shirley L.

Yelp
Ordered: classic wontons with peanut sauce The setting is clean and comfortable. The food was tasty. The prices are on the higher end for what you get but overall a decent spot for a quick bite.

Sheila I.

Yelp
Very disappointed of this place. I went to the Bloor and Spadina location today as I always past by this place so I thought I'd go in and give it a try. The service was very slow considering there were only 2 customers and I only ordered the Taiwanese hot dog which was already grilling. I waited for 10 minutes or so. The hot dog costs. $7.00 which was very small. When the server came out to bring it out, I was shocked. Not only was it poorly prepared, it was placed in a very tiny bun with very small portions of codiments. The bun was was cold which they didn't bother to warm up consiering there were only 2 customers at the time including me. You would get better value for your money if you go to a hot dog stand. The hotdog tasted OK. First time at this place and will not return. Long wait time and not worth it.

Julia M.

Yelp
I like "Dumplings" and this place is OK. The meat was fresh and juicy. Clean, but not"fancy". They don't care about decor. It's just gory quick stay. Must take care of "Washroom". Don't forget to wash your hands!

Dr L.

Yelp
This is a straightforward, simple counter service but comfortable place. The food is fresh, well-prepared and with quality ingredients. So, I enjoyed it and did not leave feeling like I hate eating fast food. It's also a nice setting: modern clean and simple.
google avatar

Matt W.

Yelp
Love these. The highlight is the food. I really like the dumplings. Decor is a nice plus. Tastefully minimal. Was well worth a visit for me. The staff was chipper. They said they had take home frozen wontons at "south hill market" but I haven't tried those yet.

Aaron S.

Yelp
I ate here almost a year ago and I still can't stop thinking about this place. Far and beyond the best dumplings I. Have. Ever. Eaten. Everything about them was perfect from the peanut sauce to the filling to the wrapping. I can't wait to return and I dream of you.

Bobby K.

Yelp
Objectively the best place to have in your neighbourhood. Super tasty, fairly priced, and they keep your stamp card on file at the counter. One piece of advice - ginger soy over peanut sauce, and other than that you can't go wrong.

Jenna B.

Yelp
Best, freshest dumplings I've ever had! Very small restaurant, not a lot of tables or seating but there was not wait when I went so it wasn't a problem. You can sit at the bar or at a table, order your dumplings and you can watch them make the dumplings through a passthrough hole in the wall. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Jack G.

Yelp
Very tasty wonton in peanut sauce with apleasant slow burn that lasts. Good cold shrimp rolls too. But no tea, so I had to dtink beer! Well worth a visit.

D'Arcy P.

Yelp
Peanut sauce is spot on. Wontons aren't too shabby either. I know the prices aren't as low as you find in Markham or Chinatown, but this is College Street after all. The only drawback is you have to pay for lukewarm grocery store bottled water.

Mimi W.

Yelp
We ordered the vegan dumplings in peanut sauce, noodles and vegetables. It was all delicious and we will definitely be back.

Karol G.

Yelp
I am a fan of dumplings and when I heard this small shop opened up I came immediately. It was worth the commute. These dumplings are actually authentic and they are great quality. They also sell frozen dumplings. Definitely coming back!
