Great breakfast spot in Albuquerque. The french toast was sweet, the coffee was well-roasted, the eggs were cooked perfectly sunny side up. Also dog-friendly. The outdoor patio we stayed at had a bit of a pigeon problem, but they didn't disrupt us while we were dining. The grilled chicken sandwich was exquisite. The blue cheese slaw was tangy, the chicken was thick and juicy, and the brioche buns were great. Overall, it's a good, affordable breakfast spot.

Google
My wife and I had a great breakfast at this establishment off Cutler! Great food and even better environment as we sat outside enjoying our meals! Try the David burrito and the breakfast bagel sandwich, both were excellent!

Google
This lovely cafe has ample indoor and outdoor seating and terrific service by the always-friendly staff. We never have to wait to be seated, and the food is made quickly but with high quality. Definitely try the smoky red chile - it’s amazing! The menu has a nice variety of choices, including some vegetarian options. Also try their house-made chai tea!

Google
Good experience. 3 people 54$. I had the breakfast burrito green Chile and cheese and tea. Sugars on the table. Bathroom clean and big. Clean and big inside and outside. Sandbox outside. Pigeons but pigeon electronics to keep pigeons off the table. Good service I got refills on my tea.

Google
1st time trying this place and I loved everything! The staff were all friendly, caring, and genuinely attentive. I had the Creme Brulee special and the Carne Adovado Burrito. Both were excellent! I will return next time I am in ABQ.

Google
Our waiter is so FRIENDLY. One of the most genuinely nice servers I've ever interacted with. Other employees are nice too. Very cute cafe. Food is pretty good, I've had blue corn pancakes and horchata French toast- both specials. Both delicious. One of the best cappuccino too!

Lori H.

Google
Excellent breakfast. Excellent service. Cute place. Friendly staff. Ordered a dirty Chai and it was delicious. Also ordered the adobada burrito (smothered) and the pesto ham breakfast sandwich. Huge portions. Both were very tasty. Kids enjoyed their meals and they were appropriately portioned for them. Seated right away on a Sunday morning.

Google
First time here and definitely will be back. Came for a breakfast burrito but Bo had awesome recommendations and was welcoming! Being able to choose if you want to seat outside or inside is always a plus!

Yelp
I brought a couple friends here who had never been here before, for brunch. The food was excellent. I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with blue cheese coleslaw and crispy fries. This is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. The fries were cooked to perfection. I also opted to get a strawberry refresher, which was...well, refreshing! The service was stellar. Our server checked in with us, but was not overbearing and gave us time to visit, which was nice and appreciated. The ambience is outstanding. We sat on the patio and all the tables are covered so there's plenty of shade. There are also bug fans on the table to keep the critters away. It's spacious and there are lots of tables both inside and outside. This restaurant has one of the most unique menus I've seen in town. They have some really creative and delicious offerings and I highly recommend them if you're looking for something unique to satisfy your taste buds.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in 8 years and forgot it was here. I had lunch with a friend who suggested it and was so impressed! My harvest bowl was delicious; the best lunch I've had in months. The service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was nice. I will come back.

Yelp
We tried The daily Grind for lunch today. We had tried them in the past but it had been years. I got the Cheddar French Toast BLT with a fried egg and my husband got a Philly cheesesteak and fries. The food was so amazing. My food was just the right amount of savory and sweet. My husband said his was good quality steak with the ratio to meat, cheese, onions and peppers. The fries were crispy and salty. We got seated on the patio which was so nice and shaded. Our service was on point. We will definitely be back. I am going to try and make my dish at home it was that good.

Yelp
First time at The Daily Grind and I loved it! My ABQ Sandwich (Albuquerque turkey) was delicious. The dining room was busy but never seemed overly loud. Staff were very attentive and our table's drinks never went empty. Will absolutely be returning! ABQ Sandwich - The Grind's version is Turkey, cheese, green chile, grilled tomato and avocado all on a baguette. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We haven't been to Daily Grind in many years. We just don't get over here often. The food was good, flavorful and served hot. I really like their menu. They have unique combinations. The cafe has a lot of art on the wall and is very open and airy with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good. Our server was very busy so it took a little longer for drink refills. He was very nice and friendly. Bathrooms are clean too. Definitely recommend them but be patient. They are definitely popular. I was a little disappointed their limited baked goods. In the past (like 5+ years ago) they had this Carmel cake that was amazing!

Yelp
Let's me start off by saying that our server Cole was very attentive, friendly and responsive! High five to this guy!!! The Inside is inviting and clean! The omelette was as expected.. fluffy and well stuffed! The Cubano brought back that island feel! Good job Daily Grind. And let's talk parking.. HUGE parking. Spots were large and very safe! Highly recommended! next time I gotta get the shepherds pie!

Yelp
I have been here a few times since my first visit. Overall, the food quality and the ambiance of the place deserve high marks. Sometimes, however, service lags a bit. Today, for example, I went alone for a quick brekkie. I seated myself, (was confused about the basket with utensils by the door) grabbed utensils, and took a seat. The "greeter" came with water and a menu. I told him I knew what I wanted so he took my order, while explaining he was the greeter not a server. I waited about 10 minutes for my plate of food. The eggs were warm not hot, the potatoes were a bit undercooked and not hot, the 2 pieces of bacon were done, but not hot. The english muffin - you know it was not hot. I don't know if my food sat for a bit, but unfortunately, it left me wondering why I bothered to have breakfast out this morning. Also, I have to admit, I don't like their potatoes all that much. I prefer the standard shredded potato patties. My favorite place to have them (and breakfast altogether) is at the Sandia Golf Cafe.

Yelp
Big selection of coffee drinks. After I ordered an Americano I kinda wished I had gotten a Dirty Chai. Next time. Good service. The portions are really big. Got the Breakfast Burrito David's Style, cheistmas. Wasn't too big a fan of their red chile, I'll get green only next time. Big dining hall type atmosphere. Local art on the walls.

Yelp
Wow. When people talk about Brekki Brekki or The Range, all I can think is why not try this place. Those restaurants have been lacking luster and overpriced. The food here isn't a bum rush of a busy restaurant ambience. It's very laid back, with a lovely view and hidden with the outside garden. My husband and I come here from the Foothills often because not only do they have fresh food, it also has gluten free options. Added, the service every single time has been phenomenal. The young man who we've had twice now every time has such good manners and is so hard working. If you'd like a great food with great service, come here!

Yelp
We had breakfast here on Saturday the 27th of April and it was FABULOUS! Our server Matt was AMAZING! He was friendly and always there when we needed him! The food was WONDERFUL! You won't be disappointed if you pick this place!!

Yelp
Another beautiful fall day in central New Mexico finds the boys from the VA creative writing group at another local favorite. Join Tom Neiman and a few of his besties, enjoying themselves with various food orders. It is worth visiting this fine establishment. Watch the trailing YouTube video link to see what we ate and raved about. An interesting atmosphere and excellent service are complemented by the Daily Grind's ample parking lot. Try them - you won't regret it. https://youtu.be/UGmCmtbuC9Y?si=yp66hpWj-hRVNho7

Yelp
My Sunday morning bagel brunch was delicious and the service was friendly and consistent while I sat at the bar at the Daily Grind. The noise level was a bit much for me inside. There was outdoor seating available, but it was still a bit chilly out.

Bill F.

Yelp
I love the raspberry scones, they are like homemade. the manager or owner took my order to go and a young man took my cash, apparently when a customer pays with cash, they don't have a cash drawer? Anyway the young man reached in his own wallet and asked another employee for the two dollars and some change the was owed me. That's not the issue, the manager/owner agressively corrected the young man in front of me to the protocol of their policys in this situation. He was wrong in his attitude. The young man was trying to be helpful. And to top it off , the manager/owner gave me blueberry scones instead of the raspberry. Anyway I think he could of handled this situation much better than berate this young man.

Christy J.

Yelp
This place has really great food and service! The green Chile had great flavor & the portions were large. The specialty drinks are a little small for the price, but very well done!
google avatar

Yelp
Worst restaurant I've been to in New Mexico. The staff is friendly and competent but the food and beverages are not up to par. Our sandwiches and coffee bar drinks were just not good on any scale. The ingredients were subpar, small, and just not tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here quite a few times, and to be honest, it has kind of become a breakfast go to for my boyfriend and I. The service is among the top for friendly staff. We're always greeted with a smile and are given ample space to enjoy each others company but yet still be appropriately waited on. We've only been for breakfast. The chile pocket is good for something a little but not too light. I also enjoy the avocado toast, with a side of over medium eggs please. If you are really hungry, I opt for the Cheddar French Toast BLT. It's quite gluttonous in appearance, but you'll be glad you ordered it, lol! Should tie you over until lunch. I think they are open for lunch too. I just haven't tried it.

Yelp
Was not a good experience for me. Met my mother, sister and aunt for their birthday. Looked at their menu online and with their fare and prices you can see they think a lot about themselves. They should think twice. First, we sat inside, which was the same as outside, with all the flies buzzing around. Had to wipe our own seats off from previous diners. My mother and aunt ordered sandwiches and my sister and I ordered smothered carne adovada burritos. They tried to bring us other people's food, first. Can't understand that considering there were only a few other tables that were occupied. Eventually we got our order and the burritos weren't smothered so we sent them back. By the time they came back my mother and aunt had finished half their meal. My mother had sweet potato fries with hers and you could see they were burnt. The burritos were bland and even though that was my first meal of the day, 1 PM, I couldn't finish mine. It wasn't appetizing at all and my sister took my half home with her for some reason. Considering the prices, inconsistencies and general cleanlines, I don't see any point of going back. Even on someone else's dime.

Yelp
Service C- Got water. Came back and took our drink order, iced tea. Didnt ask if we were ready to order food, we were. Back and forth looking over at us 3x. Ran some food though 2 others were running food. Wasn't busy an hr before closing. Cleanliness - F- DISGUSTING...like shocking Real bummer. Used to be so much nicer.

Yelp
Very nice eatery with ample space to brunch the day away. Great parking with even better service. Try the avocado toast with a couple eggs on top to really get the protein burst you deserve.

Yelp
Ask to sit in Elijah's section - he'll give you great service. Unfortunately we were sat in a different section, and this was the worst experience for us yet. Our server, Gibbon, was slow from the get go. The host, Matt, brought our drinks and then it took about 15-20 minutes for Gibbon to take our order. We asked for two drip coffees and ended up going to the counter to ask abo it them. When he dropped them off he said it took a while because the internet was down. We had to scratch our heads because it doesn't require internet to pour drip coffee. It took about 30 mins for an order of French toast and Huevos ranchos to arrive at the table but we were missing our sausage for my Huevos and my son's side of fruit. It came out to us eventually and the sausage seemed old and dry. It took us another ten to 15 mins to get our check. There was no manager present or at least it didn't look like it and that was very upsetting. We even noticed a few other guests sit down and then leave without getting service because no one acknowledged them. If you make it there, ask to sit in Elijah's section. He was the only server we saw hustling through the breakfast rush. We watched him take care of his guests and get people fed and out the door to life their lives. I had to ask him for his name so we could come back and ask for him. The Daily Grind used to be a great place for solid food and friendly service but it's gone downhill. Hopefully management will step up and get it back on track.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing coffee and food!! The people were so kind!! I will be coming back whenever I drive across the country again.

Yelp
Food is always great! Inside or outside seating that is comfortable, and friendly staff. The cafe mocha is yummy!

Yelp
4.5 stars I came here a few weeks ago after seeing a review of the Daily Grind in the ABQ Journal (https://www.abqjournal.com/2466782/the-daily-grind-delivers-a-fairly-sophisticated-menu-of-breakfast-lunc.html). One of the main reasons I came was for the strawberry refresher ($3.75), not too sweet with a thick layer of coconut milk on top. Just like its name says, it was refreshing. Staff was friendly and helpful. I loved the layout inside and the expansive patio. I will definitely be back, even just to try a scone. 2022 #18

Yelp
Haven't been here for many years. Went for lunch with friends and it was great. The food was great as was the service. We had sandwiches, bowls and nachos. They were all delicious. It wasn't so crowded that we couldn't visit but they had a good crowd.

Yelp
All good. Fresh. Quiet. Friendly. Great outdoor area. We'll be regulars. How many characters are 85!?
google avatar

Yelp
Nice space, casual and comfortable. All three times I've been my first choice off the menu has been sold out. Last time we walked in an hour prior to the posted closing time and the bakery shelves had already been emptied and the staff was closing up. The food was quite good, though.

Yelp
Great service, excellent food. Very family oriented environment! Highly recommend this place in the land of enchantment Albuquerque!

Yelp
We were in town for a few days and The Daily Grind was recommended. What a find!!! The food was absolutely fabulous!!! Over a 4 day trip we had several items from the menu. Everything was so delicious! The portions were substantial and the coffee was the best. Their Mexican food was so flavorful, sandwiches were super, and the baked goods we took for later were fresh and tasty. The sevice was impeccable! Our server was attentive and personable!!! The patio was gorgeous and welcoming, pet friendly, the art in the restaurant was nice, roomy place with great tables and chairs not tight booths. We loved this place!!! Wish it was in my city we would be regulars!!!

Ashley C.

Yelp
My go-to spot! Good people and good food. Great outdoor patio during spring/summer months. Lots of menu variety.

Yelp
Let's start with the service, so very polite and attentive. The server checked up on as much as possible my drink was never empty and it was busy. The ambiance was calming they had a wall of local artists paintings and the calm green color on the wall gave me a cooling feeling. The patio was colorful and very pretty. Now to the food. So I had a spicy pulled pork sandwich with onion rings. The Sandwich was ok and I mean just ok I was disappointed in the coleslaw that is a big part of a pulled pork sandwich it was on the sour side. I got a side of onion rings instead of fire and they sent them out burnt. As a former chef I would have never allowed one of my employees to send it out like that. Now after they re did the onion rings they were lightly breaded and perfectly crisp. I will go back and try other options to get a better feel next time. The wife got the huevos rancheros she got Christmas of course and she gave it a 7 out of 10 she loved the green Chile and the potatoes were nice and crispy like she likes it. The only thing she said is there was too much red and green Chile aside from that she liked it.

Yelp
This has been my best friends fav spot for years but I never seem to be in the neighborhood. Yesterday I was, so I made a point to stop. I just grabbed a Latte to go but I saw enough to convince me to make a special trip to go back. The menu and the food that was being served looked delicious!! And it smelled even better. My latte (almond joy) was so good. Excellent quality coffee and the perfect blend of syrups. They even added a scoop of real shredded coconut. Yum!! They had plenty of staff and everyone behind the counter was working like a harmonious team. The management must be doing something VERY right. Can't wait to come back!

Svetlana U.

Yelp
The people working there were super nice! But that was the worst cappuccino I've ever had in New Mexico. The espresso needs to be dialed in a bit better. So so sooo bitter. My burger was okay. A bit soggy. The environment is nice. Lots of seats to choose from. Probably will be back because it's so close to Stone Age. Hopeful for other things on the menu.

Yelp
How have I missed this little gem all these years? I guess it's just tucked away enough and not remotely where I live or where I tend to go, that I have just absolutely missed it. But onto the food! I have been limiting my coffee intake these days, so if I have the occasional latte, I want it to be smooth and delicious. This one fit the bill. No fancy latte art needed. Just a nice vanilla latte that came out piping hot. Perfection. And the food... my friend ordered the savory oatmeal (and I almost did as well.) Oatmeal with EVOO, cheddar, sea salt and a fried egg. He said it was filling and quite good. I had the breakfast pocket (I think it's called) just because I had never heard of it. Basically, the potatoes, chile, and cheese you would expect in a breakfast burrito l, but rolled up into a nice crisp pastry, topped with a fried egg. It was truly delicious. Service was quick and attentive, although the person taking our coffee order knew not a single thing about the drinks. But he was nice and I knew what I wanted. It's close to my friend's house and a short drive for me, so I am happy to have ventured out and will absolutely be back.

Ryan H.

Yelp
Quirky café with an eclectic menu. Coffee is pretty good. Atmosphere is basic but clean. Not much ambience. Servers are friendly but overwhelmed. The food is pretty good but nothing to rave about. I find it pricey for the experience.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
This review is for a special service. Though they're not open for dinner, they will cater private dinners on premises. I was with a group of about 100 people. The food was a buffet, replenished so there was plenty for all: big lasagna-style trays of red and green chile with meat, the same vegan, and pozole. Also smaller trays of plain chicken, potato, beans, and cheese for those not favoring NM-style cuisine. Cash bar, and when I asked for glasses of water they brought them out to our table. So very fine service as well.

Yelp
This place was outstanding! I had the cubano and my husband had the Philly. Yummy omg I Iived in Miami and Philadelphia they have competition!!

Yelp
This is an awesome spot for weekend breakfast! Most places we've attempted have had crazy long lines, but The Daily Grind was able to seat us and get us taken care of pretty quickly with how busy they were too. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, and their outdoor seating has nice shade cover for the sunnier mornings. My boyfriend and I both got red chile smothered breakfast burritos, which were huuuge for such a decent price. I was able to get another meal out of our leftovers!
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
I know it's petty, but I haven't back to this place in a long time because my wife and I both thought the coffee was terrible (weak and flavorless). However, I wanted to give them another try, so my son and I went for breakfast and it did not disappoint. We both wolfed down our breakfast burritos smothered in chili. The service was also excellent. It seemed like they were all family and they made us feel like we were part of their family. The place has a very homey vibe with lovely outdoor seating. Also, I got a double espresso, which was plenty strong and flavorful! Note to all other breakfast restaurants: if your food is great, but your coffee is subpar, you gotta step up your game!
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Really solid vegan burritos for a great value. Really enjoyed this place. We ordered 2 vegan burritos -- one smothered with ranchero (no cheese) and one smothered with verde sauce (no cheese). Each were $6.75, a really good deal. The burritos are massive, coming with potatoes, shredded zucchini, black beans, squash, spinach, bell peppers, and mushrooms. I liked both of the ones we ordered, with a preference for the ranchero. The ranchero had a nice, earthy, smoky character to it. The verde was solid too, but they seemed to skimp on that sauce. Overall, great stuff. Loved our burritos.

Michael G.

Yelp
This place used to be great. Service is now terrible. Sat outside and while I understand they may have been busy inside, there were still a few parties outside that seemed to be totally forgotten about. Took over five minutes before anyone came with menus even though we went in and told them we were going to be sitting outside. They brought some drinks quickly enough, but that was the last time we saw anyone. After almost 20 minutes of waiting, we just left. Doubt we will come back.

Yelp
So many great options to choose from. Staff is attentive. The food was fantastic and everything that went by to other tables looked wonderful.

Yelp
Portions were small the waiter was short and rude. I guess we can't find great places everywhere. Stay away from this place if you want good service and value for your dollar.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have gone here numerous times and it hasn't been bad. Obviously we kept returning. However, we went recently, like in the past few days recently, and it was the WORST experience. We walk in the restaurant and sit down. A male server comes over, hands us menus, then proceeds to ask us for our drinks and food. I order an omelette, with just bacon and cheese inside of it, which i pretty much get every time. Similar to a Denver omelette, just bacon instead of ham. We wait for our food, and it is brought out. The omelette is what is in the pictures I have attached to my review. It was literally burnt eggs on the inside folded over strips of bacon. Not to mention there was barely any cheese and it was incredibly dry. Our server, Jazmyn, came over and I told her what was wrong and she had the worst attitude. Didn't even offer to fix it, literally rolled her eyes at me. Then, the male server who took our order proceeds to come over and ask me what was wrong with it. I was honest and tell him, and he yells across the restaurant to embarrass me, saying "there's no cheese!!". My fiancés burrito was decent. Jazmyn came over to hand me the bill, and took 50% off of my omelette because I had one bite. I didn't even touch the toast as you can tell from the picture it was totally burnt. I am going to try to be politically correct and take the higher road on my feelings on Jazmyn and how I would describe her attitude in this post, but to summarize it, she had the worst attitude and should not be in customer service at all. I'm glad this was our last time here. I feel like this place is going downhill and the quality of the food has deteriorated, along with Jazmyn's attitude.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here and it was delicious. My wife and I each got the Huevos Rancheros with corn tortillas, mine with bacon, hers with ham. The bacon was a little too crispy for my liking (I'm more of a floppy bacon person) my wife said it was perfect though. I tried her ham (I don't like ham) but it was amazing. It wasn't sweet and it had a smoky flavor to it and not cut too thick. THE BEANS omg the most flavorful, delicious beans I think I've ever had. Our server, Holly, was kind and attentive and checked on us regularly. Even the water here was good. Fresh and crisp. My wife got a hot latte with Irish crème and oat milk and she said it was perfect. I got a hot Almond Joy coffee, but it wasn't my favorite. There was a little too much coconut and I had to "chew" my coffee. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Yelp
Service. The manager (man) Strive for better customer service dude. You cannot blame short handed all the time

Madison B.

Yelp
We got seated fast for a party of 9. Amazing customer service & food was delicious!!!!

Yelp
Looks like I'm not the only one who has had terrible service here. Consecutive 1 star reviews over the last few months echo what I experienced today. Having worked in the service industry I try to be as forgiving as possible. It's why I rarely give a 1 star review, however today I feel I need to WARN people of this place. The man who my party got stuck dealing with was either the owner or the manager. Hard to tell because he never identified himself even after I asked. Regardless of his position he was incredibly rude and condescending to my party and I. Considering there are other options for this kind of fare, I will never be going back to this place again and I encourage you all to head the warnings and look for a better coffee shop where you will be treated with respect.

April T.

Yelp
Nice variety of food on the menu. I tried a vegetable morning bowl and love it. Save half for lunch another day Service is super friendly. Seems to be all men whenever I'm there and I love the different dynamics that brings.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our experience at The Daily Grind this morning. The place itself has a nice open feel to it. The food was good. I branched out of my normal omelette for breakfast and tried the pesto ham and egg sandwich. So glad I took the leap. Holly was our waitress and gave us the attention we needed, clearing plates as they were done, offering containers, refilling coffee and water as the cups got lower. What I really enjoyed seeing was how well the staff got along with each other. You could see they helped each other as needed and have a good relationship with each other lots of smiles. We will definitely come here again!
