The Dairy Hotel Queenstown, A Naumi Chapter (Queenstown, South Island) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Queenstown, New Zealand’s small size, its mountainous lakeside setting, and its focus on outdoor adventure inspire many hoteliers to pursue a rustic Alpine-lodge aesthetic. But that’s not Naumi’s style. This design-forward boutique-hotel brand is known for its vibrant, maximalist glamour, and that’s as true here as it is in Wellington or Singapore. The Dairy Hotel Queenstown, A Naumi Chapter incorporates a century-old structure that was once home to Queenstown’s first general store — or “dairy,” in New Zealand English. And while its interiors do contain a fair amount of European-inspired Alpine-chic style — antique skis as decoration, and bold plaid carpeting — so too do they contain Naumi’s signature riot of colorful patterns and textures." - Tablet Hotels

It’s so cool how there’s B&B vibes but a hotel at the same time! We had 2 rooms booked. There’s a lounge with a happy hour in the afternoon with a charcuterie and wines, teas etc and all the guests would have a little chat about their days. Breakfast was included. Snacks and drinks included in your bedrooms. No laundry facilities for guests as such although staff did say I could use theirs if needed in the back room. So good as you just walk out and turn right if you wanted to go to the gondola or bowling etc. Turn left, down the stairs and fergberger and the lake is right in front so no hassles about driving into town and parking.

Lovely cozy one. Better than expected. Continental style. You can see the lake. There will be a little slope, but it is acceptable. 5-6 o'clock happy hour. There will be a real fireplace in the lobby. It's very warm. The room is not very big but enough. It's clean and exquisite. It's quiet. The glass is soundproof. You need to climb the floor, but the front desk will help you lift it. There are free coffee, snacks and delicious local milk (the first mouthful even solid milk skin). There are pink cherry trees in the back door.

The Dairy Private Hotel was like a bed and breakfast Hotel. Perfect location just a couple blocks from Skyline Gondola and Center pick-up for all my tours, which was important to me since I was traveling solo. Great breakfast and 5pm wine and cheese around the living room fireplace all included. My room was nice and the staff was great. I would highly recommend this hotel for your Queenstown stay!

We enjoyed our stay. Barbara deserves a special mention as she was delightful always and always strived to assist when she could, whether it was laying the fire a little earlier, finding us robes for the spa, etc. Areas for improvement would be ensuring every room has its own set of robes as we had to wait 2 days for a set to become available to us, and having someone on site until 10pm or so rather than fleeing out the door at 6pm. A couple of the staff (not Barbara) were a bit short/snappy when asked for hot milk in the morning or if a guest wanted to add wood to the fire. Another set of guests locked their key in the room and it was quite the process to contact someone after hours to help them - many phone calls made until finally a call was picked up. Breakfast was ok but some fresh options (fruit platter?) or hot options would improve the offering. We would stay again as we enjoyed the lounge, the view from our room, the fire and the smaller size of the hotel. Would not call it 5 stars but a strong 4.

An incredible stay, there was not a thing we did not love about this place. The staff were lovely and so warm and kind, the happy hour was such a nice touch and the rooms were beautifully presented. The location could also not have been any better, very close to town. I don’t think we will ever stay anywhere else in Queenstown again.

The hotel have a good looking with is old decoration and lot of color, we do liked it. The 'apétifif" on the main room with a cheminée is a good momnet. We did enjoyed the jacuzzi experience in front of remarkables mountains. The location of the hotel is super to moove everywhere.

A charming boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Queenstown. The rooms are beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, offering both comfort and style. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the Hotel Manager, Abhi, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We’ll definitely be returning.

Loved the Dairy! Very cute hotel. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and stocked with anything needed. It is up the hill a little from the waterfront so wouldnt recommend for anyone elderly.
