The Dairy Hotel Queenstown, A Naumi Chapter (Queenstown, South Island) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Queenstown, New Zealand’s small size, its mountainous lakeside setting, and its focus on outdoor adventure inspire many hoteliers to pursue a rustic Alpine-lodge aesthetic. But that’s not Naumi’s style. This design-forward boutique-hotel brand is known for its vibrant, maximalist glamour, and that’s as true here as it is in Wellington or Singapore. The Dairy Hotel Queenstown, A Naumi Chapter incorporates a century-old structure that was once home to Queenstown’s first general store — or “dairy,” in New Zealand English. And while its interiors do contain a fair amount of European-inspired Alpine-chic style — antique skis as decoration, and bold plaid carpeting — so too do they contain Naumi’s signature riot of colorful patterns and textures." - Tablet Hotels

Great location, very cool bedrooms, the decor is amazing ! Staff is super nice, continental breakfast was very good.. and location was awesome. Queenstown is hilly so if you have mobility issues, please be mindful. This hotel was awesome, the staff is very welcoming and there are jars of sweets and drinks you can help yourself to ! One of the nicest hotels we stayed in on our month journey throughout NZ..I highly recommend.

This hotel was a gem in Queenstown! The location can't be beat and is walking distance to everything in town. The rooms were on the smaller side but stylish with a complimentary minibar. The lounge area was comfortable and was well stocked with water, juice, tea and coffee. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly gracious! We desperately needed laundry done in the middle of our trip and they took care of it, no questions asked. We'd most definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 6x nights. Great room, walking distance to centre and free parking. Awesome self-service bar and awesome happy hours free drinks & snacks. Staff was super helpful and friendly,, too. Definitely, will recommend this hotel to my friends.

Overrated and overpriced (in line with the rest of town). Half the rooms have no views or privacy to speak of, facing the street sidewalk. Bring ear plugs for street noise and slamming doors. Rooms need some upkeep. No staffed reception. Basic breakfast included in rates although hours are rather limited. Total of five (payable) parking spaces for entire property. On the plus side, a complementary room minibar and decent bath amenities.

A lovely place to stay, the location is strategically located near to the centre. The famous Fergburger is less than 5 minutes walk. Parking is limited but you can try and ask for a reservation at the hotel. The room itself was spacious, comfortable bed and big room. Breakfast was simple but still very good. Enough amenities and everything is provided including complimentary snacks and drinks. Happy hour is 5-6pm at their common room.

Excellent standard with everything. Lovely rooms, wine, snacks and a complementary happy hour was a lovely treat! The location is excellent, very central and a continental breakfast included that had a lot of choice and was really good.

It’s so cool how there’s B&B vibes but a hotel at the same time! We had 2 rooms booked. There’s a lounge with a happy hour in the afternoon with a charcuterie and wines, teas etc and all the guests would have a little chat about their days. Breakfast was included. Snacks and drinks included in your bedrooms. No laundry facilities for guests as such although staff did say I could use theirs if needed in the back room. So good as you just walk out and turn right if you wanted to go to the gondola or bowling etc. Turn left, down the stairs and fergberger and the lake is right in front so no hassles about driving into town and parking.

Perfect location, close to everything. 2 minute walk to the gondola and about 5 minute walk to the lakefront. The free mini bar, snacks and happy hour were amazing and the staff are super friendly. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous wallpaper and furniture, really comfy beds. The common area for happy hour is nice and cozy too. Will definitely stay again.
