The rooms are fine for a short stay. Located near plenty of good restaurants. Breakfast/Lunch at the TopHat right outside the hotel is very good as well. Pool was very quiet and nice view. Be aware there could be construction coming with empty lots on adjacent sides of hotel in near future. The Sparrow, restaurant located in hotel was nice spot for a drink with lively music. The food could have been better or may have been an off night for kitchen. We must say the service around the grounds was very helpful and polite. One of the serviceman, Marco was almost everywhere throughout our stay helping any guest. It was a pleasure to cross paths with him as he was very helpful to us and I’m sure many other guests.

This hotel has been a great experience! The rooms are very clean, and modern looking. The only issue with the rooms is how hard it is to open the bathroom door. The bar on the 6th floor is a great spot! Its a great view of the city. Anastasia was also so nice and accommodating. And the young man working at the pool bar was very helpful as well. All the staff here has been very helpful and friendly!

I just want to take a moment to truly thank the security team at The Dalmar Hotel. During my stay, I had a small situation where I thought I’d lost something important, and security officer Cheyenne was right there — calm, kind, and ready to help without hesitation. The way she handled everything made me feel completely safe and cared for. It’s not just about doing her job — you can tell she genuinely care about the guests. Their patience, professionalism, and reassuring presence made such a difference in my stay. I left feeling grateful and at peace, knowing people like that are looking out for guests. Thank you, Dalmar security officer Cheyenne for going above and beyond. You truly turned a stressful moment into one of comfort and appreciation. I will be returning to Dalmar for all my stays never felt so grateful or pleased !!

Weston is my favorite hotel for Marriott. The rooms are set up nicely and Floor to ceiling windows show a beautiful view of Fort Lauderdale. Very comfortable room! The lobby bar restaurant is wonderful and Anastasia was a very very good server. Love the peloton’s in the gym!!!! Kind of wish we were staying for more than one night. Headed to a cruise tomorrow-

I have stayed at the Dal Mar several times for business. The room has always been very clean and has had nice amenities. The restaurant / bar in the lobby has been a go to for breakfast and dinner. The burger and classic old fashioned were outstanding! Ismail, my waiter is friendly and engaging! He has always made great recommendation’s and is one of the reasons I look forward to coming back. I travel here for work from time to time and have always been impressed with the service and quality! Would definitely recommend! I am looking forward to bringing my wife with me so she can enjoy the beach service! On suggestion would be to make the gelato bar available later in the day for the business travelers!

My family and I stayed at this property over Thanksgiving weekend, and I would like to highlight a few notable experiences during our visit. Our bellman, Marco, was exceptional. He handled our belongings with great care, answered all of our questions, and greeted us warmly throughout our stay. His helpfulness and professionalism truly stood out. I would also like to highlight another bellman for which I can't recall his name, my apologies... could have been in his 40s about 5 '7...he was very warm, welcoming and interacted beautifully with my toddler for whom he referred to as Princess :) We also dined at the restaurant on the lobby level, where Kimberly was our server. She was outstanding—attentive, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant. She interacted so kindly with my daughters, and later in the day she even prepared a drink that was not on the menu, which was perfect. However, I did encounter an uncomfortable situation during a separate lunch visit with a guest. Our server, Anastasia, approached me after I had signed the bill and left the restaurant. She ran after me near the elevator with the bill in hand, stating that I had not left a tip—in front of my guest. I acknowledged her, but she proceeded to point at the tip line and ask, “Are you sure you don’t want to tip?” I found this highly inappropriate. Tips are customary but not mandatory, and this behavior was unprofessional. I later realized that gratuity had been included in our Thanksgiving dinner bill the previous day, so I did not notice whether it was included on the lunch bill. Regardless, the manner in which the situation was handled was unacceptable. I spoke with Sara at the front desk, who was extremely kind and quick to locate a manager. Andy, the Assistant Front Desk Manager, expressed sincere apologies for what occurred. He was very professional, attentive, and reassuring, and made it clear that the situation would be addressed. I truly appreciate his approach and the care he showed in resolving the matter. Thank you, Andy, for your professionalism.

I stayed at Element and had drinks at the Dal Mar bar. Our server Anastasia was wonderful. She was friendly, professional and very attentive. The bar ambiance is very beautiful and has a stylish tropical modern vibe. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a block of rooms for our son's wedding and everyone was so attentive to our needs. The rooms were great, had full size refrigerators and microwaves. They were large and clean. The pool was relaxing, the 6th floor lounge was inviting and food was good. The manager always greeted us by name and kept checking in with us. The only thing I would say, I would not bother going to, would be the roof top lounge. The servers there were rude and unprofessional. We were up on a Thursday night when there were only a few people in the bar, so they were not crowded. We were embarrassed by their behavior towards us in front of our guests. To the contrary, were the wonderful servers and bartenders at the 6th floor lounge. Who were awesome! The servers at the breakfast on the 3rd floor were superb! They heard our son was getting married and the next day she brought out prosecco for us all to do a toast. The bell hops were so great and personable, especially Robert. He made sure the belongings of all of our family members were taken care of. He always had a great hello and smile for us as we entered and left the building.

Yelp
The Dalmar shares its location with another Marriott hotel called Element, make sure to tell the staff you are with the Dalmar which are the upper floor of the hotel. Arrival: We arrived by Uber and their was no hotel staff to help us unload and no valet when we arrived. It was only later that I found a valet staff member. Each valet staff member provide different levels of service. One member will rush to open the door and greet you and another staff member totally ignores you. Hotel: The hotel lobby is a bit odd with the check in employee crammed in a corner. They offer free ice cream if someone is manning the ice cream cart. No employee manned the cart during our stay. Room: we had a nice suite but the tub leaked water and the floor got soaking wet, I did not get to enjoy to tub. Run the water before you jump in because the water was yellow which indicated nobody really uses the suite. The bed was okay, but not enough to have a restful night of sleep. The pillows were flat and needed to be replaced. The room has nice windows to allow light in and there was a tiny patio if you wanted to step outside and get fresh air. Shower: the shower was nice and big but water pressure was lacking Bathroom: nice and big with two sinks but lighting was bad and needed to go to main room to apply makeup Tip: there is a grocery store down the street if you need to get a snack and water. It is one light up and has great selection of food. Tip: there is a great Thai restaurant across the street for lunch and dinner.

Yelp
Overview: The Dalmar is a trendy hotel with good staff. Arrival: arrived by Uber, no valet to assist with luggage Check-In: Efficient check in experience. Misha (phonetic) was very nice. We had booked a suite night upgrade, and she confirmed our suite was ready. Suite 1602: Spacious suite with partially separated "living room" from the bedroom. Lighting is insufficient. Sofa sectional was stained and worn. Decent desk. Mini-refrigerator and nice Nescafe coffee maker. King bed was decent but not great. Bathroom: Large bathroom with great tub and separate shower. One con about the tub- the plumbing for the water fill for the tub leaked all over the floor behind the tub. I suspect there is mold growing in the wall from repeated flooding from the tub. Sleep quality: Generally quite during our stay. Bed was decent. Overall value: Good value overall Overall cleanliness of hotel: Common areas were average cleanliness Restaurant: Lobby Bar serves breakfast. Decent but not great free breakfast if you have status. Breakfast burrito is mediocre. Misc: (1) There's a pool and lounge area near the pool. (2) A grocery store is within walking distance. (3) A good Thai restaurant called Suan is across the street from the hotel.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel but do not recommend on a weekend if you have an early flight. We stayed on a high floor and not sure if it was a wedding or club but it was extremely loud and felt like we were INSIDE the party. Called to request earplugs but they never came.

Yelp
This hotel has a lot to offer. It has several decks including a rooftop, and is a Marriott property. There is a hotel on the first level and check in is on the second level. It's a nice establishment and close to the airport. I was there for an event, and the staff were friendly.

Yelp
The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, also known as the Element Fort Lauderdale Downtown, is strategically located near the Flagler Village Arts District. It has a whole host of amenities including a yoga studio, outdoor pool, and 5 on-site dining restaurants and lounges. Its Terrace bar is one of the best-looking bars in Fort Lauderdale, and its Sparrow Restaurant with its outdoor patio bar on the 25th floor not only offers exceptional views but great food as well. The views from the rooms which only start on the upper floors offer great views of the city, are tasteful in decor, and exceptionally clean. However, the television picture isn't that good and the furnishings themselves appear cheap. But for the gorgeous views, great food, and attentive staff, I'll go four stars.

Yelp
A tip: Don't forget to ask for your free Fort Lauderdale water taxi tickets that they offer at the front desk!

Yelp
We have been staying at this property consistently over the last 3 years. I give it a 4 star rating primarily because the rooms at starting to age and need some general maintenance. With that said, the property is fantastic. Location: The property is just North of Las Olas which is in walking distance. The food, vibe, and art on Las Olas are incredible and being close to all of these great things makes this an A+ location. Property: There is a rooftop pool on the 6th Floor that over looks downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Great views, has an outdoor bar and during peak times you can get pool side service. Inside there is a bar with a big open lounge area. Great for just hanging out or even getting a bit of remote work down during the day. At the very top of the hotel is a night club; Sparrow. We love this place. Only open Thurs - Sat, but a must get reservation while you are at The Dalmar. One down note, if you like high floors / rooms you may hear the club on the nights it is open until 1AM or so. Staff: The staff has had some changes over the years but still remain great! Most recently, our room upgrade ended up being a ADA mobility room. This upgrade took away from the amazing showers that this property has to offer. We spoke with Stephanie (Concierge) and she worked with Jeffrey to get our room switch to an amazing upgraded Flagler Suite. This is the best room at the property. Corner room with panoramic views of the city (North facing, not downtown looking). Also need to mention that Alyssa and Mita helped at check in chatting through the app. We absolutely love this property and will see you all again very soon!

Yelp
Peaceful and calm. Middle of all amenities, walk in distance to many restaurants, bars and shopping. About 10 minutes drive to the beach. Great views from rooms and lobby on 6th floor. Very attentive and friendly staff. Do recommend and will return in near future.

Yelp
Great Hotel in a perfect Downtown Fort Lauderdale location. The Terrace Grill and Sparrow restaurants on site are a must for dinner and drinks. Sparrow is the rooftop restaurant & bar and it a nice evening date location. The Federal Suite is my favorite room at The Dalmar because if it the beautiful views from the Balcony. From the Valet to the Front Desk reception team the service is exceptional.

Yelp
Embarking on a staycation honeymoon, we eagerly chose the Marriott Element for its renowned amenities and exceptional experience. Our journey unfolded with moments of delight and frustration, from the captivating pool that offered respite from the summer heat to the disappointing incident involving management's failure to honor promises. The remarkable pool at the Marriott Element greeted us with its pristine condition and became our oasis of tranquility. We luxuriated in its refreshing waters, relishing the attentive poolside staff's service and ample seating that allowed us to fully unwind. Dining was a highlight of our stay, with Sparrow and The Terrace Grill presenting an enticing array of culinary delights. Sparrow's elegant ambiance and innovative menu delivered a gastronomic haven, while The Terrace Grill offered a fusion of traditional and contemporary cuisine. The dedicated waitstaff added warmth to our dining experiences, ensuring each meal was exceptional. However, our memorable stay was tarnished by management's failure to honor commitments. Despite assurances of waived fees, we discovered an overcharge and the absence of the promised destination fee waiver. Our attempts to resolve the issue were met with ignorance and rudeness from a manager, who blamed a sudden fee increase. This lack of customer-centric resolution left us deeply disappointed and frustrated. In reflection, while the Marriott Element's exceptional pool and remarkable dining options provided moments of respite and culinary pleasure, the management's failure to honor promises cast a shadow on our stay. Regrettably, we will not return to this establishment, hoping our feedback motivates them to improve communication and prioritize guest satisfaction. Upholding commitments is vital for a consistently positive and memorable experience for future guests.

Yelp
The building houses 2 different hotels that share amenities, that can be confusing . I love the place , the hotel is very elegant and upscale. It is in very good condition and well maintained. The room was very spacious, bright, and modern. The service was excellent, from the welcoming front desk staff, until the cleaning crew. It was exceptional . I'm a gold member and we had all the benefits expected, without even asking. Also I was surprised with all the house complementary items: free ice cream at the lobby , complementary champagne at the checkin, a $25 credit for the resort fee, and an even a welcome cocktail at the pool. The pool area was a little bit tired and needs some refreshing to create the appropriate vibe. Some chill music and a better menu could help . Unfortunately the welcome cocktail was a piña colada on the rocks; I did not get past the first zip. I would recommend selecting a cocktail more appealing to everyone to show you are welcome to the hotel - but the bartender was friendly. On the top that the bar from the lobby was closed in a Saturday afternoon. Everything was great. I got my invoice (in the picture ) saying I have zero balance. Three days later I got a charge from the hotel for $35. I call the hotel and they told me it was the resort fee. Resort ? Well the whole situation with the fee and the credit was very confusing and misleading , and it just added a black mark on something that after that moment was beyond my expectations.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
I liked this hotel. The rooms were nice and the pool area as well. The staff were friendly. For some reason they had complimentary champagne and gelato in the lobby the day we arrived...nice touch. There is a resort fee included in the booking, but we are from miami so did not need beach gear or transportation. The only weird thing is that the lobby is on 6 floor and there is another Marriot beand hotel with separate lobby on a different floor and shared elevators. I see someone getting confused checking in,, but after that no-problem. It was clean with room in good condition.

Robert D.

Yelp
This property provides excellent service and beautiful rooms. What else could anyone want?

Yelp
4 star location, 3 star rooms, 2 star service. New "hipper than thou" hotel (by Marriott on the down low : ) with a great convenient location but just so-so rooms at a high price point with poor service. Some friends took me to the Sparrow restaurant on the Dalmar's roof for my birthday, so I decided to check it out for a potential business conference venue. 4 star location: The best part of the hotel is the location. It's just a block or two from the main business corridor of downtown Fort Lauderdale, and easy walking distance to Las Olas for shopping / eating. Strangely enough, there seems to be no hint that the parent company is Marriott. 3 star rooms: The rooms were making an obvious attempt to be hipster on a tight budget. The real problem was that these were standard issue Marriott rooms with a couple of hip touches and no real extra amenities, but at inflated prices. My room also seemed a little worn and slightly dingy/unclean for a new-ish fashionable hotel. The best part was that the rooms have a killer view of either downtown looking south or an expansive view over Flagler Village north. 2 star service: The service level at the hotel had more in common with Motel 6 than the 4 Seasons. Everyone from the valets to the front desk staff to the bar staff seemed unfriendly, unhelpful and unaware that hotels are a service business...Marriott might be wise to retrain every staffer here.

Yelp
The atmosphere is just wonderful. Dalmar is located in the new and upcoming neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. The staff is amazing, the deco is vibrant artistic and the they're all teched out. Oh I should note that they are now charging $25 up charge now for a booking. However, they are crediting it back to you so that you can use it at the restaurant or bar. So win-win for everyone. Can't wait to come back to this hotel absolutely loved it! And so did my sister, it was for her birthday. I definitely recommend them.
google avatar

Marianne W.

Yelp
The Dalmar is okay for a long weekend in Fort Lauderdale. It is convenient to and from the airport. I just have one main reason for three stars and that's reservations. When you arrive and your room has a mans name it is not good. They did admit their error. It was also a good time of the year off season. They had plenty of vacancies so another room was quickly arranged. Not sure if I would go back to this hotel.

Margaret S.

Yelp
I received excellent service from Stacy while checking in. Stacy was very professional and compassionate during a very difficult time. We were all there for the funeral. I did send a beautiful email to assure Stacy was recognized for going above and beyond. The hotel is quite lovely and everyone we encountered were great, too. Special thanks to Stacy and the valet crew!!!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Has any staff at this hotel worked there for more than one month? Has any of the staff, if they could be found, lived in this area or even Florida before taking the job here?
google avatar

Charlisha G.

Yelp
Loved this hotel, they have valet at 32/day. They have a few places to eat and a nice pool located in the building. I hate everything close so early in the building tho. The rooms are nice and clean. I'll definitely extend my stay for more days next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. We had a fantastic stay in their king suite and two bedroom room. Excellent service overall. Check in is on the 6th floor and was a breeze. Bonvoy status recognition and warm welcome. The whole hotel's design aesthetic is impressive, right out of a design magazine. It has a modern, hip, luxury vibe. Bedrooms were spacious, clean, and beds were very comfortable. Excellent bathtub and shower. I could live here. We enjoyed drinks in the bar on lobby level, as well as rooftop drinks. Views are fabulous. We enjoyed sipping a drink on our balcony and watching the sunset. Be warned, if you don't close the shades the sun will blast you in the face in the morning. Coffee bar on ground floor is excellent. Valets are quick, and you can request your car via an app. It's far more convenient than paper tickets or calling down. The hotel is walking distance to Las Olas, which has some great shops and restaurants. It's about 45 min to Miami and 15 min to the beach (with hotel shuttle). Ample parking in parking deck.
google avatar

Nicole J.

Yelp
Booked to celebrate my birthday but left underwhelmed. Loved the interior of the hotel. Such a bright colorful vibe. Very upbeat and modern. Valet was high at $32 per day but I did like that you could request your car from an app. I cashed in my Marriot points which was about 32,000 points per night. I did request a quiet room being that their is a rooftop bar that stays open till 2AM and got put on the 23rd floor...bascially right below it so I heard blasting music all night. I was a little disappointed when it came to my room as online is shows floor to ceiling windows but once we opened the door we had a small window. So note that was you see online isn't a exact match of what you might get. The room was comfortable only thing I wish is that they did a better job at hiding all the cords for the tv, lamps, etc.. it just was a tangled mess under the tv that was so visible. Overall its a cute concept that is poorly executed - I wish I would have just saved my points.
google avatar

Alayah H.

Yelp
I liked this hotel! Very clean and we had a great view out of our window! The valet was 32/day so it is a little outrageous! The food in the lobby was a little pricey for sure! But sparrow the rooftop bar had good food and good vibes!
google avatar

JC H.

Yelp
This was the view from the 23rd floor of our stay after a cruise in ft. Lauderdale. Accommodations were very nice.

Jessica F.

Yelp
I stayed three nights at the hotel. Which when I booked it did note that there is a per night resort fee that they would charge at check in and a 150 hold as well. They do not take that amount at check in they charge your card everyday for the fees. Then at the end of your stay send you an invoice not including those fees so the amount isn't even correct so unless u call or go to the desk you won't receive the correct charged invoice. I asked the front desk to break down and explain the charges to me because I had left and was driving and could not open it. He could not explain the break down to me and just saying it's for incidentals. No it was the added resort fees that made it go from about be price to another that's all I needed him to say. Then he goes to raise his voice and go " mam are you listen to what I'm saying" like I'm an idiot. When I had a moment to look it's not that hard to break down the charges. If your staff does not know how to explain these things they do not need to answer the phone for customers and be rude. It was a great experience until I had that encounter. I hope you fix that issue so it doesn't happen to other people. Also when I took the shuttle to the beach . There was no one there to get chairs from or the beach towels and umbrella. I had called the hotel from the beach and they just told me someone would be there and no one ever showed up. I'm paying for the amenities and I didn't even get to use it.
google avatar

Janette N.

Yelp
A really cute and clean hotel in the middle of Fort Lauderdale. Mona was really nice and helped accommodate us for an early checkin, however, the one star was docked because the previous front desk person was not understanding at all and made us wait in the check in area for three hours.
google avatar

Ms. C.

Yelp
March 2023 PROS : location/walking distance to many places, modern interior, technology, valet parking, reasonably priced CONS: cleanliness (our shower drain kept filling up), awkward pool bartender, not an infinity pool as described on their site "Heated Outdoor 100 ft Infinity Pool", pool hours limited
google avatar

Geneva D.

Yelp
This was one of the most awful stays I've ever experienced. I was lured in by catfish photos. Which were clearly from a time when the hotel was fresh and new. I'm 100% sure our room had bed bugs . Which is very gross. My room was falling apart literally. Every inch of the room felt dirty and I honestly was very disappointed. We found dirt under the platform bed along with eyelashes. The shower had so much buildup in it, we had to wear shower shoes. Not to mention the hardware in the shower was broken. The tablet in the room was broken and did not work. The toilet paper was so rough! Honestly the best part of the stay was valet and the staff. 5 stars for the valet and staff. I can say that the hotel is actively being renovated but I don't think renovating will do much good. I have an exhausted list of issues but I'm sure you all get the point. Don't stay here until this hotel makes some dramatic improvements.

Yelp
The Dalmar is absolutely that girl. It's a beautiful hotel, with plenty of amenities, friendly staff, and a great location. The restaurant has good food, I had the 10/10 drink, and indeed it was a 10. Short walk to Los Olas, you can't miss. Highly recommend this property. Just hate the pool closes at 6p :(((((

Yelp
Stayed here for a formal and had the best stay. Beautiful views and awesome staff. Elevators are a bit confusing but the rooms make up for it. 10/10 would stay here again.

Yelp
Never go to That place Irresponsible people The money was stolen from my room And manager was not helping at all So if you want to be safe and your kids stay away from this place Regretting not calling police Bc they said they will fix it Never go there again

Yelp
My stay during Thanksgiving was so darn fly! A luxury hotel at it's finest; vibrant, lively and versatile as it states. Stayed on the 6th floor, which had an amazing view overlooking the pool deck. The entire layout from walking in to locating the lobby had such an allure to it. Everything was impeccable.
google avatar

Mark O.

Yelp
Nice property with a few kinks. Full review coming. VALET: Valet parking is only option and is $32 a day. For $32 a day, I expect prompt service and at least for people to listen to my requests. The "text to get you car," system does not work reliably. Just frustrating instead of convenient. I'll be back but have lowered my expectations of The Dalmar.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
Pretty cool hotel and in a great location. The front desk staff isn't too friendly or informative but the staff at the bar and restaurant were amazing ! The hotel is beautifully designed but the room could have been a bit cleaner. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom in my room... yuck! And when I arrived in my room the plastic pull to the drapes was broken and sitting on the desk which was kind of strange. Over all I felt it was a bit pricy for the location and the service.

Yelp
This is my first time staying at The Dalmar and I can't wait to come back. James and Damian at the lobby bar were awesome and had the best attitudes when dealing with the stress of working NYE. They handled everything with such professionalism and friendliness that it made my time here memorable. I can't wait to come visit them again.

One star. I travel for a living so I'm accustomed to high priced and high end hotels. This hotel charged $444 for a night including a $25 resort fee. There's no water to be found. Not in the room, not for purchase and the hotel bar/restaurant shut down at 1030 with a roomful of people trying to find amenities. I know it's snow bird season but we should all band together against this nonsense. A resort fee with no amenities. No water? Never again. Trash and the hotel knows it. When I approached them they explained water is normally in the room. Lies. I travel everyday and hotels that I tend to have water never fail.

Yelp
I like staying here but its a little confusing when trying to check in, either needs more signs for guidance or have the car personnel point in the correct direction

Yelp
The Dalmar should be ashamed of themselves. When I checked in, there were two people working one of the counters together (I surmise that one of them was training somebody new). I asked the person to please put me somewhere quiet, as I was presenting at a 2-day seminar on Saturday and Sunday. He said okay, and then placed me on the 24th floor - the floor that is directly under the club. These rooms vibrate like crazy with the deep base from upstairs until 2 am. I took a video of it...you can hear the whole room buzzing - virtually impossible for someone to sleep through it. It ruined my entire stay. I keep asking myself, "Who in this world is that incomprehensibly, unfathomably incompetent - that that's where they'd put me after I made my very kind and simple request?" And the lady training the guy watched him put me there. Nobody in the world could possibly consider that room a quiet spot. Room service doesn't come clean your room unless you stay for 4 days. I was staying for 3 days, so it never got cleaned. Trash was overflowing, I ran out of towels, etc. I asked for two towels to be brought to my room, and despite the promise, they never arrived. How does that happen? When a job is logged it doesn't even need to be checked off? On Saturday night at around 2 am, I went to discuss my issues with a manager as I was so frustrated that I couldn't sleep. Predictably, there was no manager on duty, and the sole night worker was so flippant; she was annoyed that I was even raising the issue. She said, "Well I didn't put you there. What do you want me to do? I can't undo the incident. What's your agenda? I find it curious that you waited until the last night of your stay to complain about this." I didn't have an agenda other than to inform them that this isn't right and that they should care more about their customers. The hotel is beautiful. But the Dalmar hires subpar, unsympathetic, incompetent workers. I would avoid staying there at all costs - especially the 24th floor!

Yelp
This is a horrible hotel. I was visiting my friend as a guest and their policies are unnecessary and unheard of. in order to visit a guest, I was required to provide my drivers license in order to go up to the room even after my friend called them asking to let me up. When I showed my Id, I sat there in the lobby waiting over 40 minutes for them to find an employee to walk me from the lobby to the hotel room. the security waiting for my friend to open the door until he walked away. I felt like I was in a jail being escorted by a police officer. If I was a guest here, my right to privacy would be severely violated and I would be furious. I will never stay at this hotel and I do not reccomend.

Yelp
Lobby Bar only review: Everything about this hotel is beautiful!! The decor is amazing and beautiful to look at. This place is very up to date and has a lot of picture worthy places. Their bathroom mirror is my favorite for the infamous bathroom selfie. Me and a few friends went to the Lobby Bar on a Friday night for drinks. They play live music, serve food and drinks. Service: Our server Shaleida was amazing! Very nice young lady! She discussed with me some of their most popular drinks and what I may like. Drinks: I first got the Country club crowd, which was not good to me. But hey others may like it. It was supposed to be a mango vodka drink, but tasted more like orange soda water vodka. My favorite was the ruby Mule! It was a true mule with a little ginger spice. My friends had a drink with jalapeños and loved it. Can't wait to enjoy a staycation here.

Yelp
I am a Platinum BonVoy member. I stayed at the Dal Mar on January 30th for one night. I asked for my suite upgrade as a Platinum member which after 2 calls they gave me room 1803 (handicap room. ) When I got to the room the carpets were all soaking wet. I assumed they had shampooed the carpet. I called housekeeping for towels so I could lay the towels on the wet carpet They brought me beach towels (it was 41 degrees outside ). I got into the shower and quickly realized the shower was flooding the bathroom and the carpet in the room. I had been walking on wet carpet from the previous guest(s) shower--disgusting. it was to late to move rooms. when I checked out no one was at the front desks. I called the hotel the next day and requested a refund and a manager to call me back. That was 5 days ago no and call. So disappointed and disgusted. Not happy at the Dal Mar/Marriott

Yelp
They are very disrespectful to the neighborhood. They are letting the club at the top of the hotel, Sparrow, blast music that could be heard blocks away late at night...not a good neighbor. guests complain about it constantly that they can hear the music in their room. So staying there is like sleeping in a nightclub.

Yelp
I'm so glad I took the time to really dig into the reviews of this hotel. Based on the low rating, I was seriously considering canceling my reservation, but when I actually read the 1 star reviews, I decided to stick with it... and I'm so glad I did. NOTE: To those considering The Dalmar for an actual hotel stay, forget this ridiculous Yelp rating. Many of the 1-star reviews are written by people whose egos were bruised, because they weren't allowed into the rooftop bar due to not meeting dress code requirements. Im checking out today, and I can report that my experience here has been wonderful. The entire staff has been welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. In fact, the moment I stepped out of the Uber when I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the gentlemen at the door, and one of them took my suitcase and showed me to the elevator, gave me a quick tutorial on its usage (I've used similar elevators before,) and in seconds, I was up in the gorgeous lobby. And gorgeous is right. As others have stated, the lobby level is The Dalmar is absolutely beautiful: high ceilings, flooded with sunlight, and the floor-to-ceiling wall of windows was wide open, allowing the elegant sheer drapes to gently sway in the cool breezes. The designer did an amazing job creating a true vacation destination vibe throughout, and the design finishes are all casually modern. I enjoyed a late lunch (delicious) and a cocktail out on the terrace, and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, allowing me to get some work done while enjoying the beautiful weather. Every member of the staff in the restaurant/bar area was gracious, welcoming, and attentive. The Dalmar is a stunning place to lay your head down for the night and enjoy a lazy day in dreamy spaces that whisk you away from everyday city stresses. Yes, I like having the option to order room service (I like eating on real plates with real utensils,) but in the age of DoorDash and Grubhub, that's no l a deal breaker these days ;)

Yelp
I stayed here while on a trip as an airline pilot. Showed up at midnight and had to wait 15 min before the guy at the check in counter showed up. Speaking of that, the check in desk is on the 6th floor, with no signs telling you that. You literally have to walk to the elevators and look at the little screen to tell you that. The elevators are those really annoying and needlessly complicated ones. The little touch screen seems like it came out of 1995. No ironing board or iron in my room. Light switch was non existent, had to walk past the bed to turn on the bedside lamp. On the plus side, it was clean and pretty quiet. Overall, this is one of those hotels that tries way too hard to be modern and trendy, but fails.

Yelp
This hotel was delightful. From the beautiful rooftop bar (which, apparently was voted one of the top 15 rooftop bars in the country by Condé Naste) to the friendly staff, restaurant, complimentary beach shuttles, complimentary bike rentals and cute coffee shop in the lobby. If only I had enough time during my visit to take advantage of all of these beautiful amenities! It also doesn't hurt that they're located a few blocks from Colada Cuban Cafe. The coffee shop in the lobby offers healthy bites like overnight oats, fresh juices, a coffee menu and daily fresh made pastries. The DelMar features beautiful decor, a complicated elevator, lovely bathroom products, and cozy rooms with spiffy iPads that show off the weather. Overall, this was a great stay and I look forward to my next visit. Here's to using that rooftop bar and pool!

Yelp
Overall this hotel is nice, the rooms are modern and the hotel seems pretty new. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very spacious (2 things that top my list when staying at a hotel). My biggest complaint, and why I took a star off for the rating, is the layout of the hotel. There are 2 lobbies and you don't know which one to go to! The elevator system is confusing as well, you select the floor from the outside but the options for lobbies is annoying. I didn't know what lobby to choose for checking in or out. My other complaint is the curtains, they don't block out the morning sun at all, it was so bright in my room and I desperately wanted to sleep in. Overall it's a nice hotel, I think they were just trying too hard with the concepts.

Yelp
Omg!!!! Stay away from this place unless you want to bring bugs back home with you. I have never seen such a bad bug infestation!!!! It completely grossed me out. See the video to believe!!! We were completely disgusted and felt itchy. Ruined our trip!!! The manager Harrison did nothing to make the situation better. I wish I booked a different hotel with no bug infestation. The biggest issue was the manager trying to deny the issue even thought the head of maintenance department confirmed the issue and also took videos and photos. We were concerned about the bugs laying eggs in our luggage and coming home with us. A manager with the proper training would have handled this situation differently and could have helped us find a different hotel to stay at but he was the worst. Harrison did nothing to make the situation better!!!! Stay away from this place.

Yelp
5 stars for Sip N Dip pool bar. Anthony the bartender and the pool attendant were great. I tried a gin cocktail that did not disappoint. So good, the next one I had a double. The flavors were great and I loved the crunch of the sesame seeds on the outside. The pool music was very hipster/ lobby elevator style music but makes for a great ambiance. This is not a party pool if that's what you're after. The views of the city are breath taking. Will be back to see what the food is like. The service and views are top notch! It's a cant miss in downtown Fort Lauderdale. One thing I will say is there aren't too many shady spots unless you want to be in the back near the bar and not really see much.

Yelp
This place is new but very nice. It's great to have a nice, rooftop bar in the area! The hotel itself seems very nice & lobby is chic & hella updated. You take an elevator to the 25th floor and there you are- Sparrows!! The drinks are good- I will say, my friend ordered a mojito and there was so much ice in it, you would think she ordered a snow cone. But my tequila & pineapple was good- I just needed go to tell him easy ice. The views are nice - there's limited seating at the bar (about 4 seats total) but I can kind of see why they did that. Leaves more room for people just coming in to order drinks & bounce. Definitely overpriced drinks & the gratuity is included
