The ice cream was good (I ordered a single scoop of the Madagascar Chocolate). However, the customer service leaves much to be desired. When I placed my order, I was asked if I was dining-in or taking-out. I was still deciding internally, so I told my server I wanted take-out for efficiency’s sake. After a while when my ice cream was about to be served, I decided to just quickly finish my ice cream in the store. Less than 30 seconds after I sat down, the staff member at the cashier told me I could not dine in as there is a service charge for that. I would understand if I had been told beforehand about this service charge, or if the staff member had been nicer about it (by, for example, explaining the rationale for the service charge in a warm tone). But he just told me in a very cold and terse manner, as if expecting that I would just understand and walk away. I was annoyed, got up, and walked off. Thing is, there were so many empty seats/tables at that time. And I don’t see how my finishing a single scoop in a disposable cup would require any “customer service”. TLDR: please improve your staff members’ customer service and communication skills. Thanks.
