On our way to our B&B, we passed by this gift shop and a sign for Iceberg Boat Tour, so we stopped by to inquire if there were still icebergs that we can see. Gwen welcomed us warmly. She informed us that there was still one in St Anthony and she called Mo to help us book the tour for the next day.
We browsed around the shop and I ended up buying puffin stuffed toys. The next day, after our boat tour, we stopped by to thank Gwen and showed her the iceberg photos my spouse took.
I bought silver jewelries and their locally made chocolates. Their silver jewelries were of very good quality and their chocolates are made right beneath their store. I already tasted the dark chocolate and it was sooo good.
We also had their locally made ice cream at the Cafe Nymphe upstairs. I had the partridgeberry flavoured ice cream as recommended and my spouse had the quidi vidi iceberg beer.
On our drive back to Deer Lake, we stopped by the shop again to buy more of their iceberg chocolates. At first we didn’t see Gwen but she came out as I paid for the chocolates, so we were able to say our goodbyes. We hugged, and even Meeka, their dog, also came up to us seemingly saying goodbye too. This is the only place we visited 3 times! It felt like going to a relative’s home! We are already planning to go back and will definitely visit Gwen again!
PS. There was actually an iceberg that we saw from the shop’s parking lot. It was far but we can still see it. (See photo below, photo does not do justice.) Gwen told us where to park and hike up a hill so we can see it, but the iceberg moved so fast. By the time we found the hill, the iceberg was covered by fog and was further away.
