The Dark Tickle Company - Café Nymphe - Dark Tickle Expeditions Boat Tour

We had an amazing multi-level experience with this company. We did an iceberg excursion, shopped in the locally focused gift shop and ate in the cafe. I highly reccomend doing all three. The tour was fantastic and shared a lot of local knowledge. It was also very safe, we were provided with flotation suits. The cafe was delicious and has a great mix of breakfast, lunch, alcohol beverages and speciality coffees/teas. Make sure to try the homemade ice cream and screech tea!

Best food I've had in Newfoundland. In addition to the pics shown I had a partridgeberry latte and wife had cloudberry tea. Both excellent. Wonderful ambiance and views as well. Go here when you visit viking spot or do whale/iceberg tours. Nice gift shop downstairs as well.

Came in on a whim to try "The Sculpin Cone" which we did and were very happy with, but while we were enjoying our ice cream we got food envy from the other patrons and decided to try the fish cakes ... we were so grateful we did! A delicious, generous portion for a very reasonable price and the dark tickle partridgeberry relish was such an amazing flavor on the plate. We've fallen in love with this place and its Newfoundland hospitality. Highly recommended!

Awesome experience on the Zodiac to see icebergs! Felt very safe with Kier & Stacey on board. Wonderful to hear the history and stories they shared. As well, their knowledge about the icebergs, the water, and the weather made this experience exceptional and a must do for anyone looking for a terrific experience. "nothing here is deep fried" she said. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Fish cakes and fisherman's brewis were wonderful. Ice cream 🍨 is home made.

My wife and I (celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary) took the zodiac iceberg tour on a morning in late May. We were fortunate enough to have the boat all to ourselves. The people working at Dark Tickle could not have been friendlier and made us feel very welcome. We had Varrick (and Alexia!) as our guides on the zodiac tour and it was perfect. Not only did we get to see a variety of icebergs (that were stunning!) but we saw a variety of marine life and learned of the history and cultures of the surrounding area. I can’t recommend them enough and will probably return with my Dad and brother somewhere down the line! Thanks so much Varrick and the folks at Dark Tickle! Ps. Dark Tickle’s Zodiac tour is the best iceberg alley tour you can do! - the icebergs come from Greenland so they’re bigger and larger quantity when you visit at the north side than south of NL - you go to an area that’s pretty much the iceberg graveyard. There were 5 big icebergs during our visit. - our guide made sure to circle around the icebergs! Everyone got a chance to see it up close from different angles and take photos - he grabbed an iceberg for all of us to see up close - it’s comfortable. 2 per row. Not cramped. Comes with waterproof clothing - I was less dizzy on the zodiac tour than boat tour All in all, visit northern Newfoundland! It’s not heavily promoted but you just increase your chances to see the icebergs by a lot.

We ate lunch here and later did the boat tour to see whales and icebergs. The sculpin cone with local fruit ice cream was fun. The gift shop is amazingly well curated, and I stocked up on dark tickle jams. The boat tour was amazing, thanks to captain Mo. We saw whales and icebergs and a bald eagle. #tmacnl
