I was attending the InstructureCon Conference at the nearby convention center in July. Upon arrival at the Daveneport Grand, I found that my room was not ready even though check-in was at 4pm and it was 4:15pm (I had to wait an hour and a half before entering my room). There was also a payment issue with my university and the hotel. However, the front desk host Tessa, was incredibly understanding of my situation and made accommodations to reach out to my university directly and arrange for payment with them as opposed to me putting the stay on my credit card. She was extremely helpful throughout my stay and kept checking in with me to let me know the status of her correspondence with my university concerning the payment. She also asked me if I would prefer a certain floor to stay on and she put me in a quiet room on an upper floor. I can't thank her enough for that! I appreciate the extra effort she made to work with me on all of this. She is a wonderful employee at this hotel.

The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection is a great Marriott property located right in the heart of downtown Spokane, Washington. Its central location makes it easy to access everything going on in the area, whether you’re there for business or leisure. The hotel itself has a very modern and open design from the moment you walk in. Check-in was quick and smooth, and there’s a restaurant on the property for added convenience. I didn’t have time to check out the gym during my stay, but based on the rest of the hotel, I’d expect it to be just as nice. The room was more spacious than a typical hotel room, even for a standard option. Instead of the usual two queen beds you see in many hotels, my room had two king beds, which was a nice surprise. Everything was clean, modern, and very comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend staying at this property if you’re visiting Spokane, whether for a short or long stay. The location and overall quality make it a great choice.

Stayed here for a work conference. Between the staff and the amenities offered, it was a great location. The rooms were clean, the coffee and service was great, and the indoor gym was actually amazing! There's no pool unfortunately but the outdoor patio on the 2nd floor is spacious and perfect in the evenings. You'll have good views of the city from your room and right across from the entrance is a huge radio flyer wagon. I'd definitely book this hotel for personal visits but it's got the space for everything 'business'.

Jessica was outstanding throughout our stay. She made us feel at home. She took care of our needs. Everyone at front desk was great. They allowed us to change rooms the night of the 4th of July in order to get a better view of the fireworks. The restaurant service was conscientious and professional. The room was clean and when we asked for feather pillows they were delivered within 10 minutes. You have the best sorbet of any restaurant in any of the 6 continents we have visited. Marriott, Davenport, Spokane, Best Little City, Best Big Town, Three Centuries of US history, keep your staff and reward them.

Google
The rooms were amazing, the staff were friendly, the water pressure was incredible considering we were on the twelfth floor. The lobby was gorgeous, and the beds were comfy. My only complaint is that the pillows are more like airy comforters that deflate. I folded a pillow four times thick to feel like a normal pillow. I doubt this is part of the hotel so it doesn't affect the value, but the starbucks isn't great, I recommend going to the one one and a half blocks west.

I usually have great experiences at this property but didn’t experience the same level of Service specifically first point of contact the Valet not friendly at all, waited forever and then he ended up handing the cart off to my son- - when I’m paying $35 to valet and not self park I expect the same level of service I’m used to. The hotel had a feeling of a different level of service although the front desk agent was very friendly and Table 13 was excellent.I visited with A gentleman who was there for a Native American conference, about the hotel in the elevator- he summed it up as - this hotel sucks! So Davenport Grand step up the level of service back to, particularly Valet, what’s typical with your lovely hotel.

P.N.W DETAIL

Google
Penthouse suite was disapointing.. Will include photos. Black mold was found on window sill and encased double pane. Could not see the view we paid for. Room ambiance was "meh"-"shrug" Had a lounge sofa that was torn and shower had soap scum all over the basin. Blow dryer for hair was encased with what look like soap and scum had been not cleaned off. Tv remotes to tv were very baggy. Couldn't watch TV. You can really tell the house keepers were not understanding of English not passionate about proving basic care....did not do a decent turn on the room Staff seemed genuinely eager to assist with any issues except complaints. Which was met with questionable answers and the run around. After voicing my frustration was told by hotel front desk at night that notes will be in our statement to move penthouse sweets. We were overlooked and ignored as if the hotel was hoping we would go away Ate in all restaurants at location Went to 3 davenport locations to check out rooms and service. Was met with excellent service and friendly staff at all locations. Had a talk.with the night manager explaining my review process. I would not recommend the penthouse suite I feel it's at a premium price for a sub standard value. If you can avoid staying here I would highly recommend you book other were.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Garbage hotel and garbage service. We had booked weeks in advance requesting a crib for our baby. At check in, Sunny, the front desk manager said a crib was in the room, but as soon as we got to our room no crib was to be found. I went back down and asked Sunny what the deal was with the crib and she said someone would bring one up right away. 2 hours later, we still didn't have a crib (it was 11pm at this point). Had to call down again, spoke to another manager who apologized profusely and finally had someone bring a pack and play 30 minutes later. Aside from the trash service provided by Sunny (I'm almost certain she never asked house keeping to bring our room a crib), the room was filthy, the lotion and soap in the bathroom were empty and water was backing up in the shower. I brought this to the attention to the front desk and again none of our complaints were addressed (just given lip service someone would help us). Additionally, when housekeeping "cleaned our room," none of the bottles were refilled, the linens were not changed, water was still backing up in the shower and the room was still dirty (bathroom nor room were cleaned). This was my first time in Spokane and I feel that this hotel soured an otherwise great trip. I also never leave reviews, but since this hotel (which gives itself 4 stars) was so terrible, I felt it necessary to share with others. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay. First off, the rooms are huge. We could probably do 7 cartwheels across the room length. I arrived on the 4th of July, while fireworks had just started outside. Lo and behold, they gave me a brilliant riverfront room directly in front of the fireworks! Probably best up close views of fireworks in my life. Other pros: Complimentary water, location, $20 daily food voucher. Clean and modern. Cons: beds were very soft and would have preferred more support but still comfortable. There's no microwave or cooler in the room; however I think you can request a cooler in advance. I saw a microwave in the ice/vending room too.

Yelp
Disappointing. This used to be one of my favorite hotels and a few years ago, i would given it 5 stars. I feel like it dropped many levels of service after Covid. The pros - love the modern decor, fun lobby bar with variety of food options , accommodating servers, simple rooms and the most comfortable beds ever. Self park is $25 but I feel better about having a locked and patrolled garage. Cons: - this visit was disappointing. My one night stay was met with a bug on the comforter, empty bottle of hand soap by the bathroom sink and a hairball in the shower. The last two items seem like someone flat out did not do their job. When I called down about the hand soap, they said they'd send someone up. We ended up leaving for dinner and came back to two little bars of hand soap on the ground by my door. Thanks for bringing up soap, I was surprised they didn't go in and fill the container. Maybe there's rules about entering the room. I'm sad to be disappointed and will keep this in mind for my frequent stays in Spokane. Front desk was pleasant at check in and the line was long....online check in doesn't work here.

Yelp
My wife and I wanted a top tier hotel in Spokane for a weekend visit with friends, family, and to see a show at the Fox Theater. My wife had stayed at the Grand in the past and recommended it. I did not know that it was attached to the Spokane convention center, just that it was located on prime real estate adjacent to the river park. The Friday night we checked in we were awakened by a crowd of women and one or two men in the hallway at 1:50AM. They were just what you might expect after a country music concert in the biggest venue in town: loud, probably drunk, and infinitely rude and inconsiderate of anyone else. I called down to have security deal with the situation and when they did not quiet down after thirty minutes I called again. I had to call a third time, nearly an hour after the first call, and the noise finally subsided to the point where we could still hear them but it wasn't obnoxious, just annoying. Our sleep was, needless to say, horrible, and we demanded a refund and checked out early the next morning after being awakened again by similar noise at 8:30am. The manager gave us a voucher for breakfast and the food in the restaurant was decent. The lobby is loud all the time due to music playing, high ceilings, and the clientele. The valet parking staff were average. We ended up moving to the Historic Davenport where we had a much better experience. We will not be back.

Yelp
Really nice hotel. Staff are amazing + so sweet. They will take such good care of you. I saw some poor treatment happen esp to the servers in the lounge. Absolutely was not okay. Every person I interacted with wanted my experience to be amazing. I landed myself in the middle of hoopfest accidentally- even tho that was overwhelming - the staff made it worth all that headache. Thank you so much for taking good care of me!

Yelp
We stayed here for a couple nights while on a road trip through Spokane. There are several Davenport in this city. They are located across the street from the Convention Center. My wife choose this one as it seemed to be newer and the reviews seemed to please her. This hotel is part of Marriott's "Autograph" collection. Thanks to my status we were given a very nice corner room on a higher floor. The room seemed larger and had windows on 2 sides for a great view of the city. The room had a nice king size bed, a couple of chairs, and a table. The bathroom was nice and large. and had a walk in shower. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner were from L'Occitane. They had a nice large gym with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and weights. Check in was a little slow, but, the front desk agents were not only nice, but, they were willing to upgrade me to a better room. Breakfast was provided to me thanks to my status at the restaurant. Parking is in their parking garage. They have both self and valet parking. Overall, it was a good stay at a good hotel.

Yelp
The Davenport Grand was disappointing, we booked this because we liked the location of the hotel but expected better being a 4 star hotel. We arrived on a Friday night and checked in rather late. As usual, I inspect the room, spray lysol and check the beddings. First, I found a stain on the bed sheets, called to get new sheets. When the housekeeping arrived, they gave us the sheets to change ourselves. While we were changing out the sheets, I saw stains on the comforter and 2 dead bugs! That's absolutely disgusting! I took everything and toss to the side. As it was already almost midnight, we didn't want to leave and find another hotel as my kids were exhausted. I always bring bed bug spray when I travel so I sprayed it around the bed and on the bed again, then used the new sheets they gave and just cover everything on top and slept on top of the sheet, used 2nd sheet as cover. The next morning, I informed front desk of the incident, made a formal complaint about the stains and dead bugs. She was apologetic and said she would inform her manager and have him get back to me. It's been over a week and no call has been made. I expect a CLEAN room given I paid $360 + $25 parking per night for this hotel, it's ridiculous given the "good" name of this hotel collection to be so sloppy.

Yelp
Good food in a friendly environment. Option of a la carte or buffet on the weekend. Staff was great!

Yelp
The Davenport Grand is a very nice hotel, but does not offer the unique experience of the Historic Davenport. The Grand is near the river and across from the convention center. Rooms are large and well decorated and comfortable. The bath has a separate sink area, and a very spacious walk in shower. The towels are big and fluffy, soap, shampoo etc are in large bottles... There is a large lobby, entry way and attached parking garage ($25/night).

Yelp
We've been here before and our first visit was great. The restaurant in the hotel was great, the room was great, the staff was super attentive. This time, it was like a ghost town. We had attempted to have room service set up our room with champagne and things, but it wasn't done. The room was great as before and we slept well, but room service would never pick up the phone in the morning. So I had to head down and grab breakfast to a skeleton crew staff. Oh and that nice restaurant in the hotel, Table 13 is a dumb taco and tequila place that cancelled our reservation because no one showed up for work?! Oh, and the front desk folks were not super helpful either. We made the best of it, but it was not a great experience for a night away from the kids for our anniversary.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying, I TRAVEL a lot. I stay at really nice hotels. The Davenport seemed as if it was the nicest hotel in the Spokane area. When you hold yourself to this luxury standard , your margin of error is smaller than other chained hotels. 1. No matter your status, human beings should be treated equally. This place reeks of "prissiness". I do believe the better dressed you are checking in, the better you are treated ( opinion). 2. I check into my hotel room, I check my sheets, left over hair, stains, dirty window coverings, and the worst of all Urine stains on the sheets / comforter. - I immediately brought this to the lead manager ( Robert) attention. The first thing he tried to do was cover the hotels back, by stating that this was a a dryer burn from their industrial dryers, then supporting that statement by saying a piss stain would be circular. I've worked with customer service my man, it's completely wrong not to take feedback and handle it better. It made me feel as if he thought I was fishing for an issue The piss stain is circular. This was screenshotted from the video I took. It's low brightness however, there were multiple stains. I don't care if the sheets were washed and the stain didn't come out, this hotel brings in enough money to order new sheets so there is no excuse. Not only that, but it's still unsanitary. I do not want to stay in a hotel that isn't as clean as it can be ( personally) and I don't want to pay extra to experience a mediocre experience at a luxury hotel. I will complain to Marriott at a later date. --- Secondly, I have high speed internet at my living quarters. I decided to run a speed test to see what high speed internet is covered in the amenity fee .. and I take a look at the results. THE LOWEST speed you can get. Is this false advertisement? The average Joe wouldn't know but. Let's not lie blatant. --- Let's get some Pros in here. The hotel looks extremely nice. It's new, and the room size is great. The bed is extremely comfortable. That's all I can say that's positive . I hope this review is well rounded enough for you to make a decision about staying here.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Apparently because of their high occupancy "not every room can be cleaned". Nothing mentioned on check in and front desk not terribly concerned. Well, day #2, they are nothing if not consistent. No room cleaning second straight day in a row!

Yelp
Let me preface this by sharing this is one of my favourite hotels to stay in after a night in town, but I'm disappointed. I was hoping to stay at one of the hotels since I have accumulated points with Bonvoy, however; this hotel does not allow me to have my emotional support cat with me as they only accept dogs whether they are a service animal or not. I'm disappointed by this backward policy. I cannot leave my cat in my car for extended period of time, but that's their only solution.

Yelp
If I could leave negative stars I would. We checked in at 12AM at The Grand, valeted our truck without issues. Front desk was pleasant. It all started when we requested our vehicle from valet. Upon going out to our truck, it was parked as far away from the front door as possible. The valet locked our doors as we approached it. The valet then proceeded to come up to us to let know that there was an incident with our truck. They admitted to being at fault! The employee side swiped the concrete wall then after that did not put the truck in park only in neutral which then the truck rolled backwards into a pole. All this causing extensive damage. Not one manager on staff. I called this morning, left a message. Did not receive a call back until a few hours later. They refused to comp the stay, only the valet fee. I'm speechless. Just pure lack of customer service.
google avatar

Bacong F.

Yelp
I see why this place gets an average review compared to their historic location. The lack of customer service are highlighted in many reviews. First off, I was waved and gestured to the counter. There was no greeting of any kind from the young kid in his nice suit. He dressed the part and didn't speak. I dismissed it as him being young and went on my evening. Then one of the electric black out shades did work. Called the front desk twice, no answer. Text from the Bonvoy app and waited over 1 hr. No response. By then it was almost 11 pm and I had an early morning. So I covered the window myself. Lastly, there were dirty stained towels. The hotel is really nice and super convenient to the riverfront park. But I think I will go back to staying at the historic location for the service I get there. So different even under the same Marriott chain and same city.

Yelp
Great looking hotel via the exterior and interior however horrible looking ! Booked the room in advance, first off called for housekeeping three times I was there and no once came as the front desk told me they were short staffed. Also found stains in the bedsheets along with tears in the sheets. Will stay somewhere else next time I'm there to visit my son.

Yelp
Stayed here for 7 nights for work. King suite on the corner of the 15th floor. My room had two HUGE windows with views of the city, park, and river. The "autograph" collection by Marriott is their attempt at high end, unique, "one of a kind" hotels. However sometimes unique SUCKS! For example the room had two wing chairs that were NOT comfortable at all. Would have preferred a couch! Don't over think it...hotel parking is on the side but connected to the building. Downtown is a series of ONE WAY streets so to get to the parking garage you have to go around a couple blocks to be going the right way. You then take an elevator to the lobby where you can get to a room elevator. Much easier access going back to your car though, just get off at the 2nd floor and use the doors to the garage. Wish they would let you go BOTH WAYS through these doors but they don't! They are locked when coming from the garage. Hotel rooms are HUGE and very comfortable. Great TV selection with HBO and local channels (got to watch Mariner baseball games even). No INTERNET TV though! Bed was high end and soft. Housekeeping must be SHORT STAFF??? They would come and change out towels and sometimes empty the trash but never made my bed or changed the sheets or vacuumed the floor! Last couple nights I gave up and just put the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign out. Enjoyed my stay though and would come back!

Yelp
The newest of the Davenport downtown hotels, The Davenport Grand, is beautifully designed with a large restaurant and bar on the ground level. There is also a second-floor balcony that overlooks the Riverfront Park with a small bar. Room service is available too. The hotel has a parking garage attached to the hotel and offers valet parking. While I stayed here, the hotel hosted a conference along with a handful of other events. My only complaint had to do with housekeeping. Inside the rooms there is a button to request housekeeping. Upon check-in I was told that in order to get housekeeping I need to press the button. I did that all three days when I left in the morning. Only the first day was the room cleaned. The second day I figured it was just a mistake and let it go. The third day, when my room was skipped for the second time, I called the front desk since I had been out of the room for 8 hours and upon returning around 6 pm, the room had not been cleaned. I was told someone would be sent up in the next ten minutes. I left to go to dinner and returned a couple hours later. The room had not been cleaned but the request for service light had been turned off. When I called again, I was told I had to speak with the manager. He didn't answer and I left a message. I called back and spoke to someone at the front desk who told me that housekeeping left early that day and all they could offer me was extra towels. Upon checkout I was told that the only way to get room service was to call the front desk each morning and that the request service button doesn't do anything. Regardless of the lack of housekeeping, my main issue is a lack of communication since I got so many different explanations for why the issue was occurring.

Yelp
Best hotel in Spokane. Much quieter than the historic hotel and the tower. Needs room service to start back up.

Yelp
The Davenport is my preferred hotel in town with the Grand being my favorite. Love the rooms, great staff, good food and drinks not to mention a great location. Normally I don't have any issues but I must admit I had several issues during my most recent stay. However, this is a 5 star review because of how they were handled. Robert took control, took accountability and made things right. I appreciated him taking things seriously and fixing them right away. Overall it was still a good stay. We already have future reservations!

Yelp
There was hair in the drainage of shower that were not cleaned out. It was gross. House keeping never came to clean our room the two nights we stayed there. We had to call to ask them to bring us towels. It was hard to get a hold of front desk from phone. For the price we paid a night it was definitely not worth it.

Yelp
Absolutely love this hotel! Stayed here with my family for 5 nights recently. The hotel itself is definitely grand and lives up to its name. They have a big spacious lobby that makes you feel executive (along with options to eat/drink, a business center, and easily accessible restrooms). There is a coffee bar that serves selected Starbucks drinks along with pastries such as scones, muffins, and bagels. The Table13 restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including a breakfast buffet available on Saturdays & Sundays. There is also a bar in the lobby and a rooftop bar that serves drinks and pupu's during happy hour. This location seems to be popular for business conferences, athletic teams, and more. It's conveniently located across the convention center and Riverfront Park. It's also in walking distance to Main St and the nearest shopping center. The main entrance is very spacious, making it easy to get in/out of your taxi/Uber/Lyft. Overall, I loved this experience for its convenient location, professional service, and spacious rooms.

Yelp
YES - this place is so incredible all the way around. From the staff 10 star to the rooms, excellent, to the hotel bar and food - BEST BEST Bolognese sauce and home made pasta we have EVER had. The flavor, depth, nice richness and the home made pasta was just perfect. I can't say enough good about this excellent experience staying at The Davenport. 10 star and beyond - Thank you - we appreciate it and will be back again same time next year! Bravo Team Davenport - oh and the Christmas decorations were enchanting and enjoyed hardcore by us - trees everywhere - the Christmas vibe was ringing here!!!!

Yelp
The New Years event was horrible. For $150 per ticket I got 1 drink (supposed to be unlimited) and stood in line for over an hour to get 1 said drink, they took advantage of a lot of people and are unwilling to reimburse me for the out of pocket costs of the drinks I had to get at the actual hotel bar even though I paid $150 for all inclusive event. Will never ever go to an experience here again! Also went to the speakeasy which cost $75 per person and didn't get anything there and had to pay $17.50 per drink. They took advantage of a lot of people by telling us there would be a raffle at the end of the night which we waited till 3am and it never happened! This marketing team is disgusting and steals money from its customers! Do not ever do an experience here!

Yelp
Excellent service, delicious food, and a friendly staff - highly recommended! I recently enjoyed a 6-night stay at the Davenport Grand and truly experienced the best of what the Davenport has to offer. My company hosted a conference, utilizing venues at both the Davenport Grand and the adjoining convention center. At the Grand we used meeting rooms to host two large dinners in the grand ballroom with over 400 attendees, everything went off without a hitch. The warm welcome with a Sunday mimosa at the pre-conference meeting to the ever-patient front desk staff who were so kind when I had locked myself out of my room (like 5 times). However, there are a few individuals I'd like to particularly acknowledge for making my stay extra special. Timmy, stationed at the bell desk, exceeded expectations twice: first, by helping me track down a package that I had checked back on twice before, and then by assisting me with my grocery delivery. Remembering me from the day before he went above to make sure I got my things. His consistent cheerfulness and readiness to assist were truly commendable. I must also commend Jenna and the on-duty manager at Table 13. While their service and food were outstanding (the artichoke dip is to die for), they saved the day by taking the time to dig through the previous day's transactions to print my co-worker's receipt that she needed for her expenses. Thank you to everyone at the Davenport.

Yelp
For a hotel that is supposed to be up there and fancy this sure was a disappointment. Off the bat they tell you at the front desk they will not make up your rooms during your stay so if you need something you have to call the front desk to ask for things you may need. The TVs in the rooms are horrible as they go out and get static every 30 minutes. Super frustrating. The only plus is the beds are really comfortable. The pillows are extremely flat though. The shower amenities are really nice as well as the Keurig machine. I also feel like this day and age hotel rooms should have a microwave and mini fridge. Super disappointing you can't even go out to eat in the area and bring food back to your room because there is no where to store it. The location is super convenient to everything but I feel like for such a "nice" hotel they can make a few improvements.

Yelp
How the mighty have fallen. The Davenport Grand might not be Worthy of being part of the Davenport collection. Once known for their world class service, it has become a cesspool of indifference and laziness. This was my third stay during the past year; additionally, I have spent countless nights at the other Davenport collection over the years. The front desk staff is less then friendly, answers were often short and not helpful. We asked for clean towels one afternoon, we received them, but they did not remove the pile of wet towels (why). Another day, we asked for a clean bed, left for 7 hours (light was still on), came back, no services. We spoke to the front desk, they admitted they were having problems. No apology or attempt to resolve issues. The once proud landmark brand in Spokane has become a sorry excuse for a hotel. No, I do not recommend. No, I don't want to return. I will look elsewhere for lodging.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this hotel. Service is really great and the rooms are really nice. I found the place to be classy and comfortable yet also very clean. As someone who struggles with not having control over the cleanliness of a hotel room this really put my anxieties at ease. There are restaurants and bars all over the place and the rooftop terrace is definitely worth checking out. I would stay here time and time again.

Yelp
Booked this hotel because of the 2 king beds vs 2 queens at other hotels and proximity to downtown/Riverfront Park. The good: love the king beds, location, 4-star feel, height/city view, the gym here is the best hotel gym ever, option to valet park, room size is great, free water in the room, lots of restaurants within walking distance, easy access to food options within the hotel and walking. When I looked on a map I saw everything I wanted was walking distance but when I arrived it's CLOSER than expected, so that's fantastic! Riverfront Park is across the street! Nordstrom (other end of town) easy to walk!! Downtown is much smaller than expected, so location here is prime!! Staff here is wonderful! 5-star service all around from every encounter. When I say the gym is the best ever, I've stayed at a lot of hotels with gyms and this is one of the best!! (My other favorites are in Dallas and Vegas). I didn't expect as much, as this is a smaller city, but the WOW on the hotel gym is outstanding!! Having 2 King-size beds for a "standard queen" is also another WOW. Zero complaints from my 2 teens and that's speaking volumes!! Tip: you can self-park in the garage, but for the extra $10 for insurance, the hotel lobby recommended using valet as it's fully-secured parking. I was worried about car theft, and I'd rather pay the extra $10 over the $22-day rate to have my car windows not broken! This is a city, and like most cities there's a homeless problem and car theft is real. The bad: what's up with the floor to ceiling mirrors behind the beds? The hotel photos didn't show this and I thought the reviews from others were off, but unless you're a swinger, I don't understand WHY. Traveling as a family of 4, it's weird AF. The hotel photos show tubs, there's no bathtub in our double-Kong room and without a pool or hot tub, we were looking forward to a bubble bath with the bougie-soft hotel robes!! Nope! No tub here! The A/C is LOUD. I'd read other reviews on this and wondered, "How bad could that be?" But it sounds like a running-engine car is in your room, to give you an idea. We have A/C in our home, I wouldn't want that machine next to my bed at home either, so I'd forgotten how loud a single unit can be! With 100° temps outside, it's great having a cool room to sleep in, but these machines are old to be as loud as they are!! Upgraded units are much quieter. If you're used to sleeping in dead-quiet, the A/C running will be noisy! If you're used to city-noise, you probably won't even care! The bed mattresses need upgrading, as you can feel the body-mark and the middle of the bed is warped with a hump, to give you an idea of wear. I've traveled a ton and I'm super picky about bed comfort, so I expected better for a 4-star Marriott hotel. I love Marriott's beds, but this room (1226) seemed like it's beyond time for a mattress upgrade. I'm not going to include my review of the restaurants in here as this review is of the hotel itself. I made my booking at the last minute after weeks of debating where to stay. Tons of friends recommend the Davenport Hotel and there's a few lines of Davenport Hotels to choose from. TIP: I watched prices drop and found booking last minute deals on the hotel direct site was better priced and had food options (breakfast) for reduced rates too. I noticed all of the fees ($22 for parking, extra for breakfast) and loved the idea of 2-kings in an otherwise 2-Queen room. (My teens appreciated that more than a hotel pool). After reading all of the reviews we decided this hotel would fit and it has! We requested higher floor and extra towels in our room and those requests were acknowledged. Overall, really great stay and I'd recommend the Davenport Grand for the King-size beds, prime location, and great customer service. Bed comfort was 3.5/5 and noisy A/C was a 2/5. Parking secure option is 5/5, location 5/5, service 5/5, decor 4/5 (take out the mirrors behind the beds for "family friendly" unless you're catering to swingers), otherwise, decor is great. Restaurants are 5/5 for good and service. Staff, including restaurants and housekeeping: 5/5! They are fantastic people!!

Yelp
Well, it's a nice room. I had stayed at the other Davenport down on second and this is a better location. I'm on the seventh floor so the view is beautiful and there is a giant mall and all kinds of shopping and restaurants within walking distance not to mention the river park. That being said, forget, room service it is hit and miss the button on the phone for room service. absolutely does not work. The front desk will transfer you and you get a message telling you that you have to come pick it up or sometimes there's actually room service. The first night I ordered a cheeseburger and fries the girl product told me she forgot the fries and would be right back up never saw her again. For $36 enough said. Housekeeping, I just would catch the girl in the hall and get towels. I left the housekeeping light on for two days and no one ever came so when I leave tomorrow, the garbage cans are going to be overflowing as I've been here for six days. Yesterday was a holiday, a minor holiday Columbus Day the only place to get food was sitting at the bar. He couldn't even use one of the tables because that whole area was closed not real accommodating overall.

Yelp
The Davenport Grand is a modern art styled hotel. I was very happy with my experience here. Parking is a breeze with the attached garage and with the ticket they provided us we were able to exit easily. They upgraded us to the 16th floor which was awesome. We were far, far from the elevators which was even more awesome. It was a very quiet hotel which I especially liked. The room was very large with two king sized beds that were very comfortable. There was an over abundance of lights and associated switches which could make the room as dim or bright as we desired. With the large mirrors it gave the room a feeling of extra space. There was this red chair in the room and a small desk. The red chair was surprisingly comfy. The bathroom was around the corner from the living space with the sink in the open area and the toilet and shower separated by a pocket door. I like this set up because someone can be at the sink and someone else in the shower with separation but the sink was still unseen from the sleeping space. That was nice. The shower was very large but the shower pressure was quite weak. I couldn't figure out while the shower was so big because more than half of it was outside the spray zone, and the shower pressure so weak it didn't strike me as necessary. The hotel's decor was intriguing. I loved the art that was in our room - the highlight of Riverfront Park was lovely. But they have a lot of red. The red walls, the red carpet, the red wall sculpture that looked like a river...of red...was interesting. The broken eggs with the gold inlay behind the receptionist desk reminded me of another movie. But the stained glass window in the Starbucks area was super beautiful! They had one restaurant open while their specialty restaurant was still closed due to COVID. Everything appeared safe and everyone was very friendly. I was very happy here.

Yelp
Great place to stay in Spokane, clean, up to date comfy rooms. Really good guest services, on site restaurants are ok but you'll find better a couple blocks away. Will be staying here again!

Yelp
Very comfortable for a night! The staff- They had two people at the check in desk, but in spite of the long line, only one checked people in. Lobby- Unfortunately, the large bar area is adjacent to the check in desk, and the mini Starbucks. No matter what time we went thorough, it was always VERY loud, and even more so in the evening with the bar hopping. Room- The stylish room was black and white with red accents. The bed felt fantastic and there were lots of pillows to choose from. I'm not a fan of a mirrored headboard, but it went from the top of the mattress to the ceiling. Even though there were LOTS of guests staying for various tournaments, are room was quiet and we slept well. Parking- I don't understand why we have to pay over $20/day to park when we are paying to stay at the hotel. But we did and were able to walk to dinner, the theater and the waterfront park. Location- It's situated right in the thick of everything. I really liked walking across the skybridge to the theater and back!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for NYE and attended the party that they hosted in their ballroom. The hotel itself is nice. The room was modern and clean. We were on the 9th floor and had a really nice view of the river and fireworks. I really enjoyed the hotel itself. It was a very nice place and definitely met my expectations. I realize that the night was very busy for the staff and they were working on a holiday, but almost all the staff that I encountered was incredibly rude. The bar staff was obviously super busy, and I am not one to complain, but we waited for 45 minutes to get drinks and when I asked the waitress, she asked me if I was standing in the right spot.... WE ORDERED DRINKS THROUGH HER - at a table! Just ridiculous. In the morning I went to get a coffee and even the employee at the Starbucks was rude. It costs nothing to be kind. I don't think I would stay here again. The customer service experience did not match the cost.

Yelp
Stayed here for my daughter's graduation and it was wonderful. Staff were great and probably one of the most modern places you can stay in the area. Super convenient.

Yelp
Davenport is always impressed me and my daughter and I went here. The spa was excellent. The girls name was Shelley and she should be commended. The only problem we had was the pool area needs to be refinished. It's a bad repair and detracts from the overall actually as of this property.

Yelp
This is really just a note about the lobby bar. I visited here with friends in town for a college reunion. The band was so loud that everyone was standing out in the hallway so we could actually talk to each other. SO . . . about ten of us wandered across the street to the Davenport Grand. To our delight: 1) There was one guy with an electric guitar playing light jazz at a very pleasant level. 2) All of us managed to sit in a big circle in the bar and were able to talk to each other without yelling. 3) With people randomly buying rounds, or drinks for these three and those four, our waitress was friendly and efficient. No one left thirsty or ignored. I haven't stayed in this hotel, but you want some insight into my pet peeve about abusing the trust of the Marriott Autograph collection brand, see my review of the Davenport Tower and parttime dog resort. I would and will revisit the Davenport Grand hotel lobby, and I'll bring my friends.

Yelp
Very nice hotel and would definitely recommend any and all to stay. One of the best parts of my visit was the check in and check out service of Marie, Patrick and Ryan! All three we so friendly and didn't even mind my being goofy and wired after a long flight. Well Ryan maybe could've done without my energy LOL JK. Congrats to also have been apart of Patrick's "upgrade" to not having to wear his "In Training" badge! Well done friend and we'll deserved . Hope to see you all again next on a return trip. Toodles!

Yelp
Easily would be a 5 star review, but they didn't clean my room. I got to the hotel room and the sheets looked like somebody had just slept there but the bed was re organized and made. So I was already suspicious but figured maybe the maid was in a rush. I climb into bed and then there is a piece of paper under the sheets about southwest lost luggage and how to claim it.... I drove here...:. So now my suspicions were confirmed. Really nice hotel, rooms are big, beds are nice, but they didn't clean the rooms. So, by default 1 star rating.

Yelp
The hotel is relatively new, the bathrooms and rooms are clean and up to date. The bathrooms have L'Occitane toiletries. The heater and air conditioner work quietly and efficiently. The front desk is friendly and helpful. We were here for one week and kept asking for some housekeeping. The housekeeper brought some fresh towels and removed trash (and the tips we left) only twice during our stay. I am all for not cleaning the room every day but at least a couple of times a week would have been nice. If you decide to stay here, bring your own pillows. There were at least five pillows on each bed but they were very thin. And to end on an uplifting note, the hotel is very close to basically everything in the downtown and has very convenient parking garage.

Yelp
I was really excited to stay at the Davenport for the first time after living in Spokane for a decade and coming back for a fun weekend stay with my sister. I'm not really picky about hotels, but this sounded like a fun treat The front desk service was friendly and the downstairs decor was, of course, beautiful. However, I had a horrible night sleep from what appeared to be a broken, lumpy mattress that sagged horribly on one side. There were also tears and stains on some of the bed linens. I tried to be nice when I mentioned the bed at checkout (it's certainly not the front desk's fault) and was not offered any kind of discount, which was pretty disappointing. All in all, I would recommend saving your money and going to one of the "normal" hotels in the area; if nothing else the beds are more comfortable

Yelp
We stayed here a few nights while visiting Spokane and overall were pretty pleased. The inside of the hotel is beautiful with a modern design, large statement chandeliers and luxurious seating. Our room was a standard and a little different than the average room layout as it could also accommodate handicap. We enjoyed how soft and comfortable the bed and linen was and the modern design of the room with the dark carpets and paneling offset with the red leather chairs. The view from our room of the city was really stunning and we enjoyed just sitting in the red leather chairs and admiring the view. The bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows and soft linens. The room was really quiet which we also appreciated. The bathroom was okay but a little less impressive; however, this could easily have been because I have never stayed in a handicap accessible room before so perhaps the showers and bathroom design would have been more impressive in the typical rooms. Parking was easy despite the hotel being located downtown. Check in and checkout were straightforward and we loved the accessible location to everything we wanted to visit in downtown Spokane.

Yelp
No room service. No linen service. No dusting the curtains...ever. No restocking of water. No cleaning the hairdryer from heavy lint on the removable cap over the fan. Mattress are soft. Newer but soooooft. Spacious corner room but geez. Give me a smaller room with linen service and room service ANY DAY. It was frustrating to choose this hotel as a Marriott Autograph and then roll into town to be told the hotel is actually operating as a standard Autograph hotel. It felt like a bait and switch. Thanks, Marriott. Does not measure up to other Autograph hotels. A point of interest- a local hotelier sold his hotels to Marriott. There are four "Davenport Marriotts" all with similar names. They are not all in the same locations. The Historic Davenport is a 15- 20 min uphill walk from The Grand Davenport. Also- if you stay here to be connected to the convention center, take note that the hotel is on the far end of a sizeable convention center. The DoubleTree is much more central to the main area of the convention center. If I return to Spokane, I won't be staying here again.

Yelp
One week was just not long enough of a stay at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, Washington! Who knew Spokane could be such a wonderful place to visit? The Davenport Grand is located right in the heart of the city of Spokane. We stayed here 6 nights during the week of the 4th of July. The hotel itself was great! We stayed in a large corner room with a King sized bed and gorgeous views of the Spokane Riverfront. From our room on the 14th floor we were able to see the full 4th of July fireworks show since we were facing the Riverfront. We could literally see where the fireworks launched from until their final destination in the sky. It was spectacular! The hotel has a very artsy decor. Two red Art Deco styled chairs for seating added a nice touch to the room. The bathroom was big with a nice sized shower. The sink was actually separate from the bathroom and located outside of the bathroom, great if one person is showering and another just wants to use the sink. There are 2 restaurants and a mini Starbucks located in the lobby of the Davenport Grand. My only gripe with the Starbucks is that because it's so small they don't have most of the options you'd find at a normal Starbucks. But, not to worry, there's a full sized Starbucks within walking distance of the hotel, among many other coffee shops and eateries! One of the highlights of the hotel was hanging out on the 2nd floor balcony. With lounge seating and very open spacing it was a great place to hang out and have drinks with others. It was also a great place to watch the fireworks show if your room didn't have a good view. If you are ever going to visit the city of Spokane, and you should, definitely consider staying at The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection. Best hotel in Spokane!

Yelp
This is the hot spot hotel in Spokane. Within walking distance along the river and minutes away from multiple campuses. The breakfast was a nice option for a variety of people in our party. The lounge gets quite crowded in the evenings.

Yelp
We stayed a week this summer and found the hotel, its restaurants and facilities top notch! The setting allowed us to enjoy Spokane to its fullest. Easy to recommend and we will be back.

Yelp
We have stayed here twice recently and the hotel itself is pretty great. The staff is always nice and the room is always clean. The low rating is for how they gouge you on everything else. We did the Rooftop igloos which was $250 for an hour and a half. That included a Charcuterie tray and $100 drink credit. The Charcuterie tray was less than great, but the alone time was nice. At the end we didn't end up using the $100 credit for Drinks and the waiter said we could get this $38 Malbec with what was remaining, so we did. I later looked this bottle up at Total Wine and the same bottle was $11.80 . That should be illegal. I couldn't believe they marked it up that much! On top of all that they tacked on gratuity! Like $35! If we would have been a large party I would have understood the gratuity, but it was just my husband and myself. Kind of ridiculous. Bottom line, don't go unless it's a group. Otherwise it's not worth it. Honestly, it might still not be worth it ‍

Yelp
I attended a conference here, so this review only pertains to this event. Courteous staff. Quick cleanup and preparation of food. Facilities were nice for all of our different breakout meetings.

Yelp
Oh my gosh this hotel is off the hook. I had to have surgery in Spokane and it's a 4.5 hr drive so we chose to stay 2 nights here. The rooms are amazing we got the double king room and had a nice view except for forest fire smoke it was beautiful. Nice parking garage and easy access. They had a really nice restaurant in there I wrote a review for that had the best street tacos. Must stay hotel we will be back.

Yelp
Ian at the Igloos gave us the best service and experience one could ever ask for, very attentive, very kind and friendly and most of all he was helpful with all of our requests. He made our time wonderful and we would recommend eating at the Igloos to anyone solely for the chance to experience Ian's great service!

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights in May for a conference. This hotel is very modern. Check-in was a breeze, and they had a room available even though it was 11am in the morning. I had a great view of the city! Also, the room was huge. The bed was comfy, and I enjoyed the very large bathroom- tons of counter space. I had some of the food at the hotel for the conference. It was very standard- nothing bad about it. The location of the hotel is great. While the hotel does serve Starbucks, there is a Starbucks about 10 minutes walking away. Very easy to get there. I will stay here, again, when I'm in Spokane next!
