The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa

Excellent service from start to finish with everyone - breakfast staff, porters, reception, boat staff, everyone! We normally never choose to eat dinner in hotels where we stay but we were so happy that we chose the dinner package here since the food was beyond exceptional. The rooms were beautiful with wonderful views, well stocked everyday with enough water. The only thing I would say is that there were some mosquitoes in the room, although there was the mosquito net which worked well, it would be good to have the rooms sprayed before guests arrive to prevent this. Other than that minor point, this was an incredible hotel and we miss the warmth of the staff. Would highly recommend the boat trip as well - they kept on filling us up with food and refreshments! Expect a 3 course meal on the boat, which is incredibly tasty as with all of the food.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, but facilities in process of a very necessary refresh. Liked · The dinners at the main restaurant upstairs were poor. The breakfast was EXCELLENT, and the Bar Restaurant for snacks, lunch and dinner down by the river was very good. Disliked · The property is under a much needed refresh and upgrade. I am sure it will be stunning again when the upgrades are completed, but it did result in some construction noise during the day from morning to afternoon, so not much serenity on the mighty Zambezi.

Loved this place it's an absolute gem! The beautiful, comfortable thatched chalets have an indigenous feel that's so charming, and the bathrooms with natural cement finishes are a unique touch. The gym facing the Zambezi River is a highlight - working out on the edge of the river is exhilarating! The live band and music during dinner added to the ambiance, and the sunset views are simply breathtaking - it's like journeying with the sun as it sets. The menu is vast and delicious, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this lodge for its stunning views, excellent amenities, and warm hospitality.

We had a comfortable stay at The David Livingstone. The rooms are spacious and the riverside setting is beautiful. The food, especially the breakfast buffet was excellent! We also enjoyed the sunset boat cruise, it was a highlight of the trip. The only downside was that the finger foods on the boat tasted like they had been kept in the fridge before being served.|The TV setup in the room could also use some updating (no cable or streaming) , but overall the stay was lovely. We had a minor issue during our visit, and the hotel responded quickly and professionally, which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend—with just a few tweaks, it could be perfect.

This is a really nice hotel located just a short drive/shuttle bus ride away from the Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia. We had a great welcome with hot towels, drinks and music. Our room was excellent with partial views over the Zambezi river, and has all the facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Lunch on the deck overlooking the river was excellent, followed by a sunset river cruise including food and drinks. Breakfast is buffet style and offers an excellent choice. We then visited the falls and returned to the hotel for dinner, again in the restaurant overlooking the river. There is an infinity pool which also overlooks the river. An excellent hotel that I can highly recommend 👍

Went here for lunch after the falls as a walk in the service was good however 3 of our 7 orders came completely wrong with over half the meal missing and dietary requirements ignored. After asking for compensation for the missing food we were told that compensation or any form was not possible. When the bill came there was confusion over the price due to two payments on card and one in cash and we ended up overpaying for a meal that could only be considered unprofessional. Overall if you are coming here take caution over what you order and look over the bill with a keen eye.

We arrived past 8pm and the place was busy as there was a local artist performing and I was worried about were to go and what to do..but before I knew it someone was already showing us were to go and check in.||The breakfast was lovely was there for 3 nights and the variety was different.||We didn't get the chance to on the the breakfast cruise as we had already booked for the sunset cruise which was amazing..the staff on board was friendly welcoming and very informative.||The snacks were amazing during the cruise and the drinks just kept on coming i couldn't keep up.||The hotel has an actives centre for those that need help on what there is to do in livingstone.||The atmosphere and surroundings of the hotel is beautiful..the place overlooks the zambezi river.||The rooms are very clean and spacious.||Whether its business family or couples this place amazing.||The pricing on food and drinks is fair

Our stay here was exceptional. The room, the staff, the food, the cruise - all top-notch. Loved the music upon arrival and departure. Great stay!
